I went into United Furniture in Edmonton to purchase a brown leather sofa and 2 chairs. I purchase them and they were shipped to my home in High Level via Rainbow Transport. The lady that filled in my receipt and accepted my cash payment for the items was too lazy to fill in my name and information. As my daughter Kandice had purchased items there in the recent past she stuck my cash receipt under her name. I did not realize this till after I got back home and when I contacted United furniture they refused to change the receipt to my name. the receipt is of no use to me in someone else's name. I needed it replaced and did not get the call returns I was promised for the next year and a half. also when I purchased the sofa and chair ( at a cost of over $4,000) the brick warehouse who is directly affiliated with United Furniture had a special on that gave you a 42 inch flatscreen t.v. with the purchase of their leather furniture. United furniture did not inform me of this sale and would not consider taking back the item so that I could take advantage of the better offer. I feel like I was royally ripped off and will never purchase another item from the brick or United furniture. I still want my receipts though, I need them for my records. I purchased through the United Furniture outlet on the West End of Edmonton, anyone know where else I could go with my complaint? B. Croy
