I posted two cards last Tues. 12th August by first class post at Skellingthorpe Post Office. One was to Welton, Lincoln, which arrived the next day[13th] The other one was to my Grandson, Master Jack Simons, 34, James Brown Ave. Ayr, Scotland KA8 9SG. This card with money enclosed has not been received as of today 19th August 2008. I know it is not advised to post cash in envelopes but there are reasons why in this case it is nessesary. This is not the first time that this has happened when I have posted cards at Skellingthorpe Post Office, The last time, which was last year at this time was when I posted a birthday card to my sister in London [Mrs Holbon, SE16 2AP ] she has never received it to this day. That time I complained to the post master Paul, and his reply was " It must have been too big a temptation for someone at either the sorting office or the postman". This is unacceptable as an explaination, when mail posted is expected to arrive. I should add, I purchased the card from the Skellingthorpe Post Office, paid for it, then went to the writing desk and wrote the card to my Grandson, and put the money in the envelope before sealing it up, and handing it to Pearl [the counter assistant] who stuck the first class stamps on the two cards and said she would put them in the post for me
