I applied for a payday loan. On the bottom of the screen there was a block for Save Your Identity.

I mistakenly hit there box and my bank account was charged with 2 separate fees of 19.95.

Request your assistance in retrieving these funds and having them put back in my checking account.

An agent named Karie said I could not have the funds reinstated . My customer number was 84587C.

Please report this to your State's Attorney General's office as well as Secretary of State's office immediately! There are several outfits that appear to be linked together or at least benefiting from the same marketing outfit. Various names include Leisure Time Club, Smart Shopper, Save Your Identity, Identity Protection, American Leisure, Epiphany Long Distance and others. Even giving these outfits the benefit of the doubt (i.e., they're buying consumer information from some unscrupulous peddler), they're certainly put on notice after what must be numerous complaints. Initially, a single representative called my wife back in November of '07 and he ALREADY had our credit card number. WE NEVER GAVE HIM OUR ACCOUNT INFORMATION. No matter, over the next month, charges ranging from $1 to $59.95 showed up. The story we're getting now is that you're not only required to call the marketer to cancel any trial period, but also each and every vendor (very misleading as one is never told this). Total charges to date . . . $356.89! I am bringing a small claims action against two of the outfits, but it would be nice if the various states' attorney generals were to bring a class action against multiple defendants.
