I attended Ultrasound Diagnostic School (Currently Sanford Brown Institute), Elmsford, NY on 2269 Saw Mill River rd from April [protected]. Upon entrance, I spoke with the advisor for a very long time. I was told the school was accredited and would graduate with 120 college credits. That's a Bachelor's degree. This information is what was placed on our...

Ultrasound Diagnostic School Misrepresentation

I would like help in forming a class action suit . The school was not accredited as they told me. Teachers came and went. The teachers weren't really teachers, just Rn's, Lpn's and Medical Assistants that were unemployed at the time and needed a job. If looked into, I can bet that none of my teachers had a degree to teach. I graduated in 2000 with a high GPA. I busted my behind to get a high GPA just to find out that what they were teaching wasn't what was needed in the field. My extership was spent standing in a corner for 6 weeks doing nothing. The 2 women in the office were just going about thier daily routine and I was not wanted there, they were barely tolerating another person from that school. I managed somehow to find work in a few medical facilities and always felt inadequate. My reviews were not what I would have expected with such a high GPA. The things I needed to know from taking this course I did not know. It wasn't taught. They said that they would train me in the field. All these facilities I worked in expected that I would know and did not expect to train me. Other Medical Assistants would comment to me that it was substandard. I left the field completely. Financially, they have ruined me. I'm still trying to pay the student loan! Hopefully noone was injured or killed by the lack of training by this school. This has bothered me for years now. I am very surprised that noone has looked into this and action has not been taken.

Iris I am still looking for any information on lawsuits. I too still am paying for it. Like everyone else, I have no money to hire a lawyer and wish someone had information. Someone I know graduated in Oct. from Sanford Brown with honors and can't find a job...it's disgusting that they are still getting away with it!

School claimed to be accredited. Students were stuck with repayment of high student loans; never receiving benefit from education.

I also was a graduate back in 2011. It was a nightmare that would not end until now. I went for the ulta sound training and they lied to me that I did not pass the exam but to try their medical assisting course. Same horrible experience you all have had. Even my taxes being garnished. This experience made me change my mind about the medical field entirely. Please contact me as well with any information.

I left a complaint on this site about UDS in Springfield. I heard from a few people that were interested in a law suit. I don't know where to start in searching for an attorney. Please contact me if you have information on a law suit/looking for an attorney. I really need a job in this field. My loan is in default so the chance of me going back to school for retraining is zero.

Hey, The same thing happened to me at Ultrasound Diagnostic School AKA Sanford Brown in Maryland except I was in the "sonographer program" I, too, graduated in 2000 without a "clinical site" which I had to find on my own. I was lucky in the fact that I was already working for a cardiologist that did sonograms onsite. I was able to teach myself how to scan patients. I still work for the same doctor, however, I do not do sonograms as I am not certified. I cannot complete the certification program because the school has no proof that I was even enrolled there. The federal student loan company still wants their money as they are now trying to garnish my wages along with debited my bank account every month for payments. I am so interested in a class action law suit too. I feel I should not have to pay back a loan for an education I did not receive. Ultraound Diagnostic School took the money and left me nothing! Please feel free to contact me at lilkworkout@yahoo.com

Ultrasound Diagnostic School The school was a scam.

I attended the Ultrasound Diagnostic School on Cadwell Dr. Springfield, Ma. in 2001. I graduated with a 4.0 GPA. I was even Student of the month! I got me nowhere. The instructors would up and leave in the middle of a coursel. No explination was given as to why they left. We went through 2 directors while I was at the the schoolo. They both left. I was stuck with student loans I couldn't afford to pay because I couldn't find a job. My externship was a disaster. The office manager told me straight out that the school I attended was inferior. She graduated with an associates degree in Medical Assisting from Springfield Technical Community College. She made it so difficult for me because of the school I went to that I couldn't finish my externship there. The school couldn't find anywhere else to place me to finish my externship. At the time I lived in Holland, Ma. but I was willing to travel to Worcester or Springfield. I found a job at Fallon Clinic that allowed me to finish my externship. No one from the school came to talk to the office manager. No one would return my calls. I had to leave the workforce to care for my mother in 2005. She passed away in Dec. 2009. I am 53 years old. I have been to several interviews but no one will hire me. I am currently living on Social Security Disability due to severe depression and anxiety. My credit is trashed because I couldn't afford to pay my student loans. If there is a law suit pending, please contact me. My e-mail is [protected]@aol.com That school promised me the world. I was a working single mom of 3 who couldn't afford to get scammed. PLEASE SOMEONE E-MAIL ME WITH ANY LAWSUIT INFORMATION! Thank you.
