What else can I say but... I got scammed from this company! This company, somehow, is "slipping through the cracks" on frauding Americans! I ordered a DVD set September 13, 2007, and when I finally received the package on November 8, 2007, instead of the DVD's, there were magazines used as a "filler"! I singed for the package and opened it in front of my mailman, and he laughed and said "You just got scammed!" I used the "live-chat" they offer and I'm still not really sure if they even work for the Ultimate DVD shop. I even tried the phone number, and no one ever called me back! What I was told, was that I will be refunded my money in 6-12 days, but NOT including the shipping. So, I guess this is how they make their money... off of shipping costs! If you're reading this... please use this as a warning... DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM! This has been nothing but a headache, and I'm still not sure if I'll ever see my money again!

Was scammed by this company in the last two weeks but wanted to let everyone know an update. The current phone number I have for the company is - [protected]. The recording that comes on as soon as it rings says they are some credit card company but if you hold and get a live operator they say they are the DVD shop. A floor supervisor is Jason Kennedy and is who I talked with. I received my full refund within two days of talking with them. Even though my account was closed because of them selling my credit card number the bank still allowed the refund to be credited to my account because they were aware of the issues going on. Funny thing is the same day the refund was issued we received the box in the mail which we refused. We would rather deal with a reliable company! Good luck trying to get your money back. Best advice - just keep calling them!

I placed an order for the Family Matters DVD set about 2 weeks prior to Thanksgiving. Since then I have called at least 4 times a week, sometimes 3-4 times a day. No one ever takes my call. They called me once at 655 am to let me know what my order number was and to look it up on the canadapost.ca website... guess what? no such order. About a week later I called them at 645 am (supposedly their hours are 9am - whenever so why anyone answers or calls me from this place before 7 am is beyond me). Also it seems the same woman (who was extremely hard to understand) talked to me twice. She gave me the same order number which I looked up while on the phone with her... voila! there it sat at the Canada Post since December 12. On Dec 19 I looked it up again... It finally left to Canada Post on December 18 (hope they enjoyed my dvds). Here it is December 24 and no DVDs. I have notified my credit card company not to let this charge go through but they tell me that it hasn't yet gone through. My guess is it's going to be under an alias name or even a split charge. What a joke!

Ordered a box dvd set of the television show Thirtysomething on 12/3/07. Was supposed to receive a confirmation email within 48 hours that I never received. A total of $110.58 was charged to my MasterCard. I have left several voicemail messages to the phone number they provide and have never received a call back [protected]). Also tried contacting them via email and website is not found. This rather destroys my faith in internet shopping.

I ordered Dexter's Laboratory DVD on 12/26/2007 from the Ultimate DVD shop. My credit card was charged. After several weeks of and no product I emailed the company to get a status on my order. They responded stating that my order was on backorder and that they would ship it as soon as it became available. About a month, 2/14/2008, I received an email stating that my product would be available in the next 5 to 7 business days and that my credit card had not been charged, which it had already been charged and I have the bank statement to prove it. So again I waited. After no product coming by 12 business days I contacted the company again, by email, this time with no response. Come 3/1/2008 I again contacted the company no response and tried their telephone number, which did not work. As of today 3/19/2008 no product and no response from the company. So today 3/19/2008 I have contacted my credit card company and have started the process of disputing this charge and getting a refund via the bank.

I feel I too have become the victim of Ultimate DVD. In January '08 I purchased The Fall Guy complete series and the Dukes of Hazzard Season 7, as of today, March 1,' 08 I still do not have the DVDs and as everyone else has done I also have called and telephoned to no avail. Any suggestions on what we can do? Buyer beware!

I got scammed as well! I placed an order back in October 2007 and never received the product. I contacted them several times and they would always say that it was back ordered. Then I tried calling again and no one ever answers the phone. I tried the live chat and no answered either. This is definitely a scam and unfortunately I got taken. Beware everyone!

My experience is the same as others who have written. I was immediately charged for a DVD box set and have not received it (2 months now).
Please do not give these scamers any more money!

Basically the same as everyone who has complained plus they sold my credit card info to someone who tried to purchase $2600 worth of Ipods at Apple. Lucky enough my credit card company did not okay it. They checked with me. I cannot believe that someone in the government cannot stop this. I contacted the Governor and others but no one is interested. I just hope that everyone gets this info so no one else is cheated.

I ordered the complete series of Laredo on DVD 10/21/07. Was promised merchandise in 7-14 days. Unable to get a response by phone and emails are returned undeliverable. They had no problem debiting my account the next day after the order was placed. I expect my merchandise or my money back.

I know how you feel. although I only lost about $20. I just chalked it up to inexpierence shopping online. I did recieve part of my JAG collection, although I had some Adam 12 mixed with it on some of the discs and the fact that the discs were burnt using a standard dvd burner and label maker I assumed that I was the only one screwed by them. Sorry folks but I'm in the same boat. Hope you have better luck than I did.

I also ordered dvds from ultimatedvdshop and was charged my credit card. I tried calling their number, I also sent emails cancelling my order and then called my credit card company to dispute the charge. They said that I wasn't responsible for the charges and they would dispute the charge. I thought everything was ok after that. PLEASE READ THIS! A COUPLE OF MONTHS LATER I NOTICED THAT SOMEONE ORDERED $1700 DOLLARS WORTH OF MERCHANDISE ON MY CREDIT CARD. THE PERSON ENDED UP GETTING MY CREDIT CARD INFORMATION FROM THE INTERNET. THEY ONLY HAVE THE INFORMATION FROM THE CREDIT CARD I USED FOR ORDERING THE DVDS. THAT IS THE ONLY THING I CAN COME UP WITH. I THINK THIS COMPANY IS A FRAUD AND THEY SELL YOUR INFORMATION OR USE THE INFORMATION FOR CREDIT CARD FRAUD. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE BE VERY CAREFUL. WE ARE IN THE PROCESS OF CREDIT CARD FRAUD, AND WE HAVE THE POLICE INVOLVED. HOPEFULLY WE CAN MAKE SOME PROGRESS AND HOPEFULLY THIS WON'T HAPPEN TO ANYMORE PEOPLE.

You need to go through your bank or credit card company to get your money back. DO NOT continue to contact Ultimate DVD shop. I ordered a DVD from there on Dec. 14, and I just got my refund back from the bank yesterday (April 20). So it could take a while, but you are wasting your time if you continue to try to contact the company.

Ultimate DVD Shop: A BIG RIP-OFF

Before you order from anyone on the internet, google them first to see if their are any complaints. I ordered New York Undercover, the complete TV series. My bank card was charged and then the number of e-mails telling me about a back order. When I e-mailed a rep, I got a bunch of apologies and saying my order would ship in two weeks. Finally, since I live in Florida, I contacted the Office of Agriculture and Consumer Services. I received another e-mail stating my account had not been charged (they put the $$ back) and said my account would be charged when the items would ship. No items as of yet, I am happy I got my $$ back but I was looking forward to the DVD series, I will wait for it to legitmately come out through Barnes & Nobles or Amazon next time around. DO NOT BE SILENT, complain to your local consumer agency, that is how scam artists get shut down!

I ordered the complete Keanan and kel series from that DVD shop and that was 5 months ago and after 5 months of complaining by sending emails and trying to call, still I have no been refunded. What do we do? I want my money back. Why I tried to email them again, their site doesn’t even exist anymore, will I ever get my money back?

I purchased the complete series of kenan and kel in december of last year and I still have not received it. I have emailed them and threatened them and still no email or no money refund. I spent so much of my money trusting this site and I made a big mistake. I called and there was no answer, nothing. What kind of site is this? When I saw the link for the money refund after I got email from them saying that my order is in backorder and it is there top priority to ship it to me, yeah right. Every time I click on that link I am taken to a page that has expired, wtf? I am so pissed I want to scream. I want my money back, I don’t even want the darn DVD set anymore, I just want my money back. UGH!

Ultimate DVD shop is a MAJOR scam! I was also out a large amount of money, thanks to them. I want to let everyone know though that they have now changed their name. They are now called TV addicts. There is no phone number on the site (of course), and everything is just as it was, except they are going by a different name. I wanted to alert everyone to this. Tell everyone you know about them! Whoever is behind it is very very tricky! My mom and her boss (who is a lawyer) are in the process of trying to shut them down for good!

I have a phone number that you can actually reach a live person. I have called them to initiate a cancellation and refund and they said it is under review. I have been waiting over a week for the results of this review, but at least I was able to talk to a living person. I am going to forward this phone number to my credit card holder and maybe they will get a quicker response. The phone number that I have is: [protected]. Good Luck!

I found this company on the internet .I got scammed
for $ 85.32 I ordered a DVD set Nov, 2007 and was told I would receive an email confirming my order. I didn't receive the confirm of the order untill two weeks later via e-mail on Dec 10 07. They gave a fake trace number thru the Canada Postal System which is no good I have tried the customer service phone number on more then on occasion and get sent to another line then it rings a few times and informs me all service reps are busy and tells me to leave a message which I have did sereval times and no one has retuen my calls. I also tried to go back to the web site and email customer service no one returns my emails either.DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM! I hope the Better Business Bureau can help to stop these crimnals! If anyone finds a way to sue them or legaly go after them I am MORE than willing to join in any joint action against them.

Wow! This is the first time I've been scammed also. Exact same thing happened. I got nervous and tried to contact them via e-mail, on-line live help, and phone number on the site (not your 800 number) with no luck. Then I really got nervous.
Thanks to you giving the 800 phone number I was able to call them. The gal I talked to barely spoke English and had conflicting information. According to her my account was refunded back in January shortly after the order was placed but if that's the case why do I have an e-mail from Feb 13th that says my card was charged and I would shortly get e-mail confirmation of shipment? Then she tells me that she will personally see that my refund will be in my account in the next 3-4 days. What? I've learned my lesson and have a call into my bank to check my account over. Can't wait to hear what they tell me.

I heartly agree that Ultimate DVD is a scam and I fell for it like a fool. At least I don't feel so bad knowing that others have the same problem. I have turned them in to my credit card people who are investigating them. Make sure you keep a record of e-mails etc. I never could get past the voice mail.

I was just ripped off by these ###s. I did a search on yahoo for some rare dvd's and it brought up the Ultimate DVD Shop. There was no link that showed the complaints against this company or I would NOT have bought from them. The company charged my credit card about $700 and is saying they did not charge me for anything. They keep emailing me saying my order is on backorder and that they did not charge my card. I called my credit card company and they told me they would investigate and try to get my money back. I will seek other means to shut down this company they should not have messed with me!

I ordered the Get Smart series the end of November. Finally received set, but instead of the promised 138 or so episodes, I only got 112, and 2 of the DVDS were duplicates, and one disc was for the Murder She Wrote tv show. When I contacted them, they agreed to send a new set out. That was over a month ago, and I have yet to receive it. COMPLETE SCAM!

I ordered beverly hills ten seasons for 150 bucks. I too have been having a hard time get money back. they sent me a back order e-mail and everytime i email them back they send the same e-mail back to me saying its on back order. I recently got a link from them and it said the refund was block due to them processing it or it got paid back. My account has no record of a refund. If there is anyone out there being a lawsuit on... count me in. Just e-mail the details you need and i will go along with it.

This company isn't real. It seems its all a hoax. Right after I placed my order several other charges were put on my credit card. We have all been played for the fool. Please check your bank statements in the timeframe after you were charged. My bank and the police are working on helping me get the money back that I didn't authorize however it doesn't look like I am going to get my DVD set. I am really sorry to everyone else this has happened to. I hate to say it but it looks like we are all out of luck and our money.

I order the Married With Children DVD set on December 28, 2007. My banking acccount was charge. Today is February 10, 2008 and I called to get my money back and the phone is disconnected. I have emailed and I am waiting to see. I think these guys and fraud and it is enough to make you want to stop buying online. Who can I file a complaint with because I want my money back?
