UK Mail Non-delivery

I placed an online order with O2 and then i received a text saying that delivery will be made tomorrow morning between 8.30 and 12.30. Come 1pm, no delivery and O2 advised me to wait a little longer. 3pm - nothing - O2 said it means 6pm not 12.30pm. 7pm - still nothing and O2 were told by UKMail that we will not know until tomorrow morning. Following morning, told by UKMail that the parcel had been returned to the depot as no-one was at home so the driver left a card. SO UNTRUE AS I STAYED HOME ALL DAY.
This morning, UK Mail's operations manager inform me that the driver also phoned me that day - YET ANOTHER LIE! The operations manager was not that concerned as she believed her driver over the customer! The attitude of the staff from this depot as absymal, O2 are now going to lose a valued customer and they don't care!

So here is my gripe with UKMail, The delivery/Pick up driver does not arrive when they should even if you pay the £1.00p extra for a timed pick up.

No excuse, No sorry, Not a clue, however that's what happens when a company like UKMail sub contract self employed drivers and pay them Chicken feed or similar feed.

So I will tell you what I do when they mess up and are late and keep me waiting.

I pay using PAYPAL and if the the driver is late I lodge a claim with Paypal
and keep it open for the maximum 20 days.

Which is all Legal and within Paypal rules as it is a genuine dispute between a buyer and seller.

However here is the catch you will never win the claim even if you escalate it as it's not for physical goods believe it or not, so the company will get their money back however minus 20 days interest.

No imagine this scenario let's say that if everyone who had a dispute with UKMail for breaching their agreement and keeping you waiting in like a mug raised a dispute for the full 20 days can you imagine what that would do to their profits.

OK let's say if only half the people paying by Paypal did that for the full 20 days it would be a complete and utter inconvenience to UKMail and might make them treat customers better in the future.

I have posted this message on my twitter account, youtube, tumblr, etc so that it reaches a wide audience.

Enjoy.

UK Mail Appalling Service

I ordered a bag online, and paid extra for next day delivery service. It has been 1 week, and yet NO DELIVERY.

Tracked my order online, and the lies they have published on the website. The first one on 19th (When I was home the whole day), is that they could not get access to the property! How ludicrous is that? So around 15 people living in the flats do not have lives, and do not go in/out of the property! And other reputed companies, like UK Mail, Hermes, are all able to deliver without a problem!

Next lie, that they have left a card! In fact, according to their website, they have left 2 cards, now to a property which seemingly was inaccessible when it was supposed to be delivered! All lies, absolutely shocking.

I have rearranged for delivery tomorrow, if they show up is another thing, if not, will ask for a refund.

Absolutely appalling and disgusting service!

UK Mail lack of customer service

UKMail ought to be UKSnail. I waited in all day on 2 May for a delivery due by 2pm. When finally I got through on the "Customer services" number after 8 attempts the rather disinterested girl on the phone said she'd check to see where it was and call me right back. Of course no one called. Today I have also waited in all day. Their website was down - has been out of action for most of the day but when I did get onto it first thing, my package had no narrative on the tracker. After spending 5 hours today trying to get hold of someone - phone rings, eventually is answered and then immediately disconnected, I finally spoke to someone who told me they couldn't do anything because their computer system is down. I've given up 2 days paid work to await this delivery, for nothing. I asked for a complaints form and was told - they don't have one! I need to go back to the person who commissioned the delivery in the first place! What an utter shambles this company is. I can't believe they are still in business!

Was expecting next day delivery, however more than a week later, no parcel. I had contacted them every day, and each time was promised delivery that day, along with a phone call to keep me up to date with progress. They failed on all counts, and not once did they even offer an apology.
If you have the choice, use another courier. This one isn't up to the task.

My computer supposed to arrive today but was not informed of the time of delivery nor message was sent to me therefore they came at the wrong time and I was not around. Tried to call them at 4.55pm (London time) and they did not pick up. Apparently they close at 5pm. Won't have much free time tomorrow to receive the goods but I can't even change the date of delivery or choose to deliver it to my neighbor. This is just the classic example of company doing what they think is right but fail to listen to their customers. I don't expect to take a day off, losing my pay just because I need to wait for my parcel to arrive. This is ridiculous.

The most appalling customer service I have ever had, rude staff and shocking attitude to customers.
We had arranged for UKMail to deliver 16 flat computer screens to our office situated on the 8th floor. The driver point blank refused to deliver the parcels to our floor and said he is only willing to deliver outside the building although it’s a landlord building and the company addressed on the parcels are situated on the 8th floor. When I asked him how am I suppose to take this all up to the 8th floor without a trolley etc he replied "well that’s not my problem" I can not believe a delivery man thinks it is ok to leave expensive IT goods outside the building and not deliver to the addressed company. Absolutely shocking.

Driver (apparently...) twice failed to find the house even though other delivery companies have never had difficulty...
Long waits on hold for Helpline which is just an independent call-centre who can do nothing, will not release any contact info for the company, and are effectively acting as a brick wall behind which UKMail hides.
Promised call-backs never happened. We arranged to wait in for a timed delivery which never happened.
You have to track down (not easy...) the number of your local depot to get anything done.
Recommend you do NOT use this company.

I do not wish to see any person or business sullied and do not wish any person to lose their job or business to fail. But it is callous behaviour as this, from some people in ukmail, that shakes confidence of customers / people in service providers.

Failed me twice with their next day service. Was meant to be delivered today after delays but checked again in afternoon to to told it would be tomorrow - so the online status was wrong!
I pleaded i need the package today, even offered to go collect it from depot (In a city 30 miles away) but they ignored me - and then i could no longer submit more queries online for my consignment number.
I tried calling their customer service numbers - premium numbers - but was in a queue until my mobile phone credit ran out!

My simple answer to this is to go back to the company you made the purchase from and get a refund. If they won't give a refund then go to your credit card company. The more people do this with UKMail the more likely companies are not to use them.

Non delivery and No customer service

UK mail must be the worst parcel delivery firm in the UK. My delivery was due yesterday, I was told to wait at home all day till 7pm (apparently they close at 8pm) which I did, no delivery.

No one rang to apologise or update me.

I called their contact us number today, it rings and rings and doesn't get picked up. I have called over 10 times today !

In all my years of receiving parcels I have not come across a worse firm, no customer service whatsoever.

Do not use.

We've had similar problems, losing hundreds of items of mail, delays on thousands of items.

No postal redress procedure, total dis-ownership of the problem by management all the way to the top.

Their is serious under capacity in this company, constant breaches of contracts. This is a company whos mail service will seriously damage your company, we've learnt and think it will take a year to restore our reputation and get our business back to pre uk mail level.

This company has a poor reputation in the industry and deservedly show.

UK Mail UnTruth about delivery

Ordered and paid for an item on eBay. Item was posted via UKMail.
The delivery person did NOT call at my property at the time he wrote on the card he led. It lied about trying to deliver, as I was at home at that time.
The special code he wrote on the card is unreadable and now I have to drive over 50 miles to go to a depot to arrange a collection.
They are thieves!

I had the same thing happen ukmail driver left a note saying he arrived at15.55 when my partner picked up the note she called me strait away at 15.52. The only delivery company I know that can travel in time. Useless company! I wouldn't order anything delivered through them again. Their lies cost me a 1hr each way journey and £20 in fuel costs. Uk mail said that any complaints have to go through my phone company and they couldn't deal with my complaint directly. DO NOT USE UK MAIL

UK Mail Consignment sent from India

Dear sir
We booked a parcel in India on 22.12.2010 vide Airway bill no., [protected] for Samar Agrawal in UK(Shefield). The consignment reached UK (Shefield) on 24.12.2010. However the same was withheld at company's warehouse. On enquiries from India and on toll free number of “Business Post” at [protected] in UK we had been able to get the deliveries after a lapse of 15 days i.e. on 5.1.2011.
We seek your support to find the company's contact numbers and to initiate stern action against the worst services provided by a world renown courier.

UK Mail Delay in very important parcel delivery from India

Hi,

This is H.J.

This complaint is about delay in very important parcel delivery from India by UK Mail.
My consignment number is:[protected].

Website of UK Mail:
www.businesspost.com
(No answers for my many messages)

I suffered a lot by UK Mail. It is very important parcel from India which UK Mail got on 23rd Dec only. I am continuously following the customer services since 23rd Dec.

There is very fix answer of providing reason of backlog and also fix answer of weather which is completely wrong. From 23rd onwards till date there is no any weather issue at all.

My parcel is completing 12 days today in UK itself, still there is no any confirmation and not sure when it will be delivered to me.

Also in businesspost site it is showing the same status which was updated on 23rd.

All costly food items in the parcel will be spoiled and there is no use of delivery in case there is such delay. Everything will be spoiled inside the courier. It's 24 KG parcel.
I afraid about very fix answers from Customer Services not taking the request seriously. I would like to do the claim against UK Mail in case I will not get the my parcel max by 7th Jan 11.

I really suffered a lot and spent lot of time in communicating with customer services. However it is useless and just wastage of time if there answer format is predefined without taking any immediate action on the request. They don't bother much about the request and taking very lightly.

Kindly cooperate me to handle this situation. My parcel was sent by XD Express Dhake from, Mumbai. India.

Best Regards
HS

UK Mail - Shocking Behaviour

The most appalling customer service I have ever had. Rude staff, poor levels of intelligence, scruffy and shocking attitude to customers. UK Mail Worst Delivery Service in the UK

We started using Business Post as they were called then earlier this year, the first deliver was never received by the customer, which we took as first time dealings, so after arguments and legal threats (by them not us) Business Post agreed to give us a credit note for the outstanding amount despite us asking for a cheque so we can take our business elsewhere.

They picked up 4 packages without us using a special book that they never sent to us that required the driver to fill out with delivery details. Then on the 5th occassion they realised there was a missing delivery book, so they stalled our delivery for over one week losing us another client.
When we lost or rag with them they pushed blame back to us on no dlivery book and insisted we close the account with them and a cheque for the outstanding amount.

They then proceeded to charge us 4 times the rate for the 4 deliveries due to no delivery book and said they would send back a cheque for a small sum of money which did not equate to what business we had done.
The National Manager Rob Earthy is by far the worst customer service manager in the country, I ask him to stand up online and defend his actions if these is any untruth in this review because he ignored my emails when I asked for details on the same.

You can check other sites doing online review sites and you will find similar negative reports about their poor quality service.

I've been waiting two days for these idiots to deliver a PC from Dell. Can't get through on the phone. Don't answer emails. There website claims i rearranged the delivery... so they are liars to boot. I can't understand why Dell would use such a rubbish company to deliver, it makes them look terrible.

Ensured I stayed in today to collect my 09.03-10.03 delivery. At 10.15... No delivery. Contacted the croydon depot and was told by a rude male allegedly named 'Jody' that the courier has worked with the company for 8 months and has had no complaints. He was adamant that the driver tried a 'blue door, but I wasn't in'. I explained that I don't have a blue door and was told 'well, what do you want me to do? I can get him to go back to where he tried'. Again, I explained that this was clearly not my address... He continued to be rude and dismissive, stressing that the courier tried my door... Such a waste of time. Customer service is soooo Awlful. I would not recommend this company to anyone. Looks like 'Jody' needs training in how to deal with customers and this 'amazing courier' needs to either learn colours, or actually attempt to deliver to the correct address.
Courier finally arrived after chasing it AGAIN. He said that he got the colour of the door wrong, that he left his card but someone must have picked it up, the buzzer didn't work this morning, but worked this time and lastly... He said he came at 08.30, when he recorded coming at 09.40... Basically NONSENSE

To whom it may concern,

I've been waiting Since Monday for my parcel Delivery from O2 and all I've been getting a lie after a lie and a lie, I'm extremely disappointed, even O2 one of your biggest customer's couldn't even get hold of you whole day yesterday.( apparently systems were down )
Either the parcel management team or the drivers it self clearly not doing their job and hope these ongoing issues gets investigated as clearly reviews on the internet is not a positive, I think you should take a look into that.

I've been calling min 4 to 5 times a day since Monday 13th to chase my delivery and this is totally unacceptable, how would you feel when you have your little daughters birthday coming up and she choose the handset she likes? Well for your information my daughter's birthday is today and yes her birthday surprise has just been ruined and Thanks to Ukmail for that.
Each time I call either I had to wait for min of 20mins for someone to answer or Staff's on the horse as they just wants to get rid of me by saying delivery is on its way, just a Lie again, last I spoke with O2 was this eve at 7pm and they said UKmail has promised them that delivery will be made by tonight 10pm and guess what as I'm typing out of curiosity I rang UKmail guess what? They just said delivery is now for tomorrow and ofcourse don't forget the horse as the staff was on it.

I suggest Ukmail to call O2 and observe their customer services as Ukmail desperately needs that, O2 customer service are 5 stars any day or anytime you call.

It is very sad and I will not recommend anyone to Ukmail, Terrible customer service and terrible delivery process.

This is without doubt the worst delivery company I have ever had the misfortune of encountering.
They never deliver when they're supposed to. They always ignore special delivery instructions. They lie about attempted deliveries. They are completely unbending in their attitude and you can guarantee that any problem that arises, remains a problem.
Their attitude stinks, they are totally unreliable, their drivers are dishonest and useless, their customer service is pointless and completely ineffectual.
If ever I order something online and get home to a card through my door from UK Mail, my heart sinks and I know that I will not get my package from probably weeks and only after wasting hours on the phone trying to sort out the total mess they have made.
It is very rare I get so angry towards an entire company - UK Mail is without doubt, the very worst, most unreliable and frustrating delivery company still in business. Please retailers - PLEASE choose another delivery company and spare your customers the pain.
If I know a retailer uses UK Mail, I will not buy anything from them.

Awful service. I was told that my phone would be delivered by UKmail on Tuesday. I waited in all day - nothing arrived. Was then told there was a technical error and my pracel hadn't been processed and that it would be delivered within 48-72 hours. I then got a text the next morning saying it would be delivered between 3.26-4.26pm (Very precise I thought!) I was at home all day and nothing arrived - I trached it online and it said 'out for delivery'. I have spent over half an hour on the phone to UKmail, or waiting for my call to be answered. The people on the other end of the line were unhelfpul. I was told that the timings were an estimate and that my parcel would definitely be with me by 8pm - apprently the driver had also left "a little late". The parcel wasn't here by 8pm. I phoned Orange mobile and they said that a message by UKmail had been sent at 8pm saying the order was delayed until tomorrow. I waited with baited breath.

I am very angry with ukmail.

Parcel due on 7th Feb 2014, sent back due to "no access to flat building"

Package reset due 24th Feb... On the 27th I found it was delivered on the 26th to someone else 8 floors down (i live in high rise)

Unable to contact the flat as they at first didn't answer door buzzer Then hour later I try again and they have turned off the intercom.. And due to security we can't get on each others floors.

Police will be contacted later if I can't get through. As its 1st March, still no parcel, ukmail delivered to someone without my permission, and also posters in the building state "do not leave parcels with neighbours, contact the customer directly".

Worse part is ukmail refused to press my door buzzer each day they tried dispite I kept giving staff instructions for the drivers.

Yet they manage to buzz a flat floors away from mine (flat in the 10's numbers while mine is in the 100's numbers) to leave it with a random guy who refuses to answer the door to me?

Been waiting for the parcel since 7th.. Almost a month later still no parcel and someone else is probably now using my tab 3.

Ukmail Refused many times when I ask where to email a formal complaint to.

I am so angry with this. I'm seeking further action against the ukmail services, especially as on the contact for, my complaint is 1367 characters.. But it means "maximum of 2000 characters".

You can't send unless it's less then 400, how can you make a formal complaint in less then 400 characters.

So I ask for email to make formal complaint.

All they keep saying is "sorry you aren't satisfied. We left parcel at flat ## by the name ###### who signed it"

But I can't reply to that due to it being no from a noreply address!

Then I send new message on the form and get

"your case is now closed"

Then "it was delivered to neighbour"

I have not used citizens advice postal dispute service and told them about the number of times I've asked ukmail for somewhere to send a formal complaint to, which they keep ignoring my requests which is against the law.

Now I don't have my tablet, ukmail refuse to help, the sender can't do anything (i didn't buy it, it was an offer for signing up to tv) as they aren't able to send a new one until ukmail sort it and police if they need to be involved.

So thanks to ukmail delivering without permission to someone else, it seems my parcel was stolen.

And worse... I already have health issues, and now scared to death worrying the fact this guy now news my name and who I am.. I'm worried of ID fraud now.

Prepare yourself ukmail... You have a lot of explaining to do... I will not drop this matter.. No matter what I'll get to the bottom of this.. Thanks for causing my health to get worse, I've even felt sucidal again...
