My comments to the above complaint.

I have attempted to write the complaint verbatim as it was sent to me. I have found several grammatical errors that have caused me to believe I am being scammed.

Sir Thomas Hooper JP of Magnum Spedition Ltd
Magnum House, Leopold Road,

I received a letter informing me I had won a BMW 2008 and also GBP 750, 000/- I was asked to select the deliver options
and had to pay for the delivery charges which were $910.65.
Two days later I was told I need a clearance certificate from the Briish Governement and had to pay GBP 3, 000/- I told him I could not afford that kind of money but he kept on harassing and would not put the phone down so I agreed to pay GBP 1, 500/- and Sir Hooper said he would make the rest of the payment. The following day he said the company is not allowing him to make the payment on my behalf so I had to send the balance. I refused saying I could not make the payments. A couple of days later he sent me an an email saying a diplomat would be delivering the funds to me in Kuwait and instead of the car they would pay me GBP 12, 000/- but I had to agree to pay the diplomat $ 4, 400/-.
I refused to make the payment and just asked him to send my money back to me. A few minutes later I received another email saying that they were sending Cash dollars instead of the draft and that now I had to pay GBP 9, 000/- I refused saying I do not have the money and requested Sir Hooper to send my money back to me. On 14th Aug 2008 I received an email from Sir Thomas Hooper saying that I would be receiving the funds from Nationwide bank PLC and that I was supposed to contact them which I have done. I have not heard from Nationwide bank.
How can I get my money back?
How can people like Sir Thomas Hooper be stopped?
Is he really a Sir?
London is becoming famous for these types of scams and what is the government doing to stop these scams.
