UK Mail Appalling Customer Service

Had to re-arrange a delivery due to a missed delivery attempt. They expected me to drive 60 miles to the nearest depot to collect it initially. I tried to re-arrange delivery to a different address by calling them but was unable to speak to someone and just got stuck in their telephone automation system. I even submitted an online support ticket requesting they call me however the email system closed the ticket immediately saying that the package will be re-delivered the next day (even though I wasn't going to be in!). I find it hard to believe that in this day and age I am unable to easily change where I want my package delivered. Its because of old, antiquated systems that no one in senior management uses or cares about. UK Mail is useless as far as I'm concerned so be warned.

UK Mail Poor service

Uk mail are a poor excuse for a delivery service company! I don't know where i want to start with this company ive waited in for days for parcels to be delivered rang there supposedly friendly customer service team to assist them because they said the drivers don't know where my Address is! get through to rude unhelpfull people then to discover ive been slapped with expensive call charges!ive submitted an enquiry to them on there website as i refuse to call them again then just been sent emails with case numbers and then another email to say the case as been closed! Im infuriated with this company and i think they should be exposed as much as possible, they clearly have taken on more then they can handle probably to pay there staff peanuts who don't give a s#$t about this company. I only dread now everytime i purchase something online now its not i the hands of this bunch of ignorant people.

UK Mail The worst experience ever

I bought an mobile phone and the seller arranged the delivery with UK Mail. I got an email with the delivery timings one day before it supposed to arrive. As an option you can change the delivery to their depot in my case in Docklands- Canning Town, the phone was a present and I didn't want it to be delivered home. Unfortunately when purchasing I didn't have that option. I went to pick up my parcel form depot as instructed on the second email with ID and proof of address. When I arrived they said the parcel is with the driver and I was asked to wait, after half an hour I told them that I have to go home and they called the driver and told me to go home and meet the driver at my house in 15 min. I left the depot and I was about 2 min away from home when I got a call from them saying to stop because the driver is in Cannig Town and he will meet with me there and hand over the parcel. After 2 min another phone call saying that he can't give me the parcel in the street and I have to return back to the depot to get it. I went back and waited another 20 min till he arrived. After 1 hour and 15 min I got my parcel. I won't comment you can judge.

UK Mail Delivery and Delivery person

Friend sent flowers as a birthday gift on 13/11. AS our door buzzer is out, I left a post-it note with my phone number. I was home all day as well. The deliveryman made no effort, left a "while you were out card". I called and went online to use the tracking code on the While you were out card, it doesn't exist. WHY? Because the guy didn't bother entering it, probably. Didn't get my half dead flowers in their beat-up box til TUESDAY. The driver was rude and told me it was my fault. Here is the address I will be complaining to: [protected]@ukmail.com . Don't both with a phone number, it will never be answered, and the online form seems to just say ERROR. These people are clowns.n I ahve reported them to Trading Standard, you should as well.

UK Mail Parcel not being delivered on the day and even the next day when it should be

I have a parcel from O2 which is due to be delivered on Monday, 5th October 2015. Monday, 5th October, I received a txt message from UK Mail at 07:55 saying: "Your O2 order [protected] is estimated for delivery by UK Mail between 12:46 - 13:46". Then another txt message at 12:50 saying: "Your delivery driver has one more delivery to make then he will be with you". I waited for the whole day and there was no delivery has happened, not even a card to say "what happened" or "we missed you" (but it's impossible as I was at home the whole day waiting). I, then rang O2 and O2 has arrange for a re-delivery for the next day, Tuesday, 6th October. Tuesday, 6th October, I received a txt message once again from UK Mail at 08:33 saying the same thing as above but just different time which was between 13:28 - 14:28. Then another txt message at 13:29 saying: "Your delivery driver has one more delivery to make then he will be with you". Again, I have waited for the whole day and no delivery has happened at all, my parcel did not arrive as according to the dates and times that UK Mail has given me through txt messages. And again there was no card has been left to say what happened. When I tracked the parcel on Tuesday, 6th October, at around 18:00, it's just showing the parcel journey on the 5th October but not the 6th. I, then rang UK Mail customer service but it's really taking a long time for someone to answer the call. Rang O2 but they couldn't help but advised me to ring UK Mail the next day. Wednesday, 7th October, tracked the parcel but it's not updated on the UK Mail website. It's still the same parcel journey as of the 5th October. Rang the UK Mail customer service on [protected] and been told to ring [protected]. I rang this 0345 number and manage to speak with man who sounded abrupt, rough and rude. The moment he had known the consignment number, he just said: "we need to re-arrange the delivery tomorrow". This was unexpectable and unacceptable answer at all because I have been waiting since Monday and I needed to know at least what had happened. Not until I asked that I have known what happened. He started asking: "Have you got a brown door?" And I said "No, we have a white door". By this, you can tell that there was a mistake that happened but he wouldn't say, unless you asked and he would answer in a rough way without any explanation. I was expecting that since it was UK Mail's inefficiency, the man should have at least try to say something nice or at has arrange for the delivery of my parcel today because I have been waiting since Monday and the fault was not on my side. I have read other's review about the service provided by UK Mail and most of it were not very nice at all.

UK Mail Parcel not delivered, rude staff

I placed an order with Penhaligans which they sent via UK Mail. The first delivery slot I was given was 25/9/15 between 20.50 and 21.50. Nothing arrived. I was then emailed with a new slot of 28/9/15 between 18.50 and 19.50, again nothing arrived. To my surprise when I phoned their complaints dept on Tuesday I was told the driver had tried to deliver the parcel but was unable to gain access. I told the girl I spoke to that this was a complete lie. I live in a normal house with no access issues. Every issue I questioned her on regarding the delivery process she said she " couldn't comment" or she " didn't know". I did however find out that the divers only work until 8.00pm. I was told that my parcel would be delivered that day (Wednesday) between 18.30 and 19.30. I tracked the parcel online until 19.30 when it showed that the driver was delivering the parcel before mine. At 19.35 the tracker was turned off and my parcel did not arrive.I phoned Penhaligans today 30/9/15 and was told that they had contacted UK Mail and had also been told that the parcel would be delivered on 29/9/15 so it would appear that they lie to the companies that employ them as well as to the customers. I phoned the complaints dept again, again the person I spoke to was really not interested and when I told him about the tracker being turned off at at 7.35pm his attitude was, there's nothing I can do. He said he would pass the complaint on and somebody would contact me. I then received an email saying my parcel would be delivered today 30/9/15 between 21.28 and 22.28. Again I phoned UK Mail complaints dept and pointed out that as their drivers stopped work at 8.00pm I really didn't see how this was going to happen. The girl I spoke to said that the system hadn't updated. When I asked when I could expect delivery she said she didn't know and had no way of contacting the driver to find out. I asked why nobody had contacted me regarding my complaint and I was told that someone should get back to me within 24 hours. Needless to say I am not holding my breath. I have contacted Penhaligans and they have told me that if the parcel does not arrive today they will have to resend using a different carrier. The person I spoke to was very unhappy about this company's complete lack of customer service and couldn't care less attitude. I think this company need to be told that this behavior is unacceptable and completely unprofessional. Their staff all need to be sent on customer care courses. I used to work with an international company and if myself or any of my colleges had taken this attitude with our customers we would have been dismissed Below is the number given to me by UK mail for my parcel. Their complaints line number is [protected] CDL number [protected]

I did not receive my item which was actually my 3 year olds bike for Xmas. I rang up ukmail 13times within 3 day and each time I was told I would get a call back and they couldn't get hold of the driver or the depot wasn't getting back to them. On day 4 they then sent it to an escalation team who rang me and said the same thing they couldn't get hold of them. I then threatened with the police as I believed my parcel has been stolen by a member of staff i believe the driver himself. Today I had a knock at my door sating he had left it ouside my front window on the day it was meant to be delivered. I questioned him why he didn't knock my door or post a note to say where he had put it he said he didn't have time to do it. I know he is lieing as my window has no curtains and i was sat waiting for my parcel alday until I tracked it and it said it had been delivered which I rang up 1 hour after. He couldn't answer my question just kept saying he had a family and he was going to get into trouble and he has had to pay alot of money for lost packages this month. I believe he has taken my parcel himself as he didn't have time to actually deliver it. I believe he come round my house today 15/12/15 to try and see where he could say he left it just to get his story straight unfortunately I jumped up when I saw him looking around the front of my house. I would NEVER EVER recommend this company. They are so unhelpful they don't get back to you. The lie. They are just all round terrible. Now 10 days before Xmas I am 70 less off and also have to try and find my daughter her bike she's wants for Xmas now. Such a terrible company. I will also be reporting this to the police as theft of my property. PLEASE EVERYONE NEVER EVER USE UKMAIL! THIS IS A WARNING TO YOU ALL.

UK Mail Lying about delivery attempts and failure to address complaints

These guys are a bunch of utter monkeys! They don't deliver parcels then lie about it. There complaints department is a joke!, they don't even bother investigating issues as they know they are useless! All they do is close a complaint, and then have the blatant audacity to send a email saying "we are pleased to confirm your case is closed" are they seriously that bad that they don't care about complaints or customers! Will never use them again and also stop buying from suppliers that do!

UK Mail Incompetent and rude

48 hour delivery was placed on Thursday.
Come Monday evening there was still nothing, I had a text quoting the delivery time yet no delivery or card saying 'attempted delivery'.
After speaking to the courier directly the next morning...he refused to attempt a delivery because there was a 2 hour gap someone MAY not be home and said he didn't want to have to carry the parcel to my house with that risk...I said to leave it with a neighbour, leave it in my garden, leave it at the post office, drop it at my work instead...all of which he point blank refused.
After contacting their head office and the supplier I was then guaranteed delivery on Wednesday...after someone waited in all day, still no delivery...I contacted head office again and they said they have 'misplaced' it and will contact me when they find it...no apologies for anything.
May I point out my delivery was for a cross trainer...that's pretty big, how on earth do you 'misplace' something that size!?
I am fuming and will never be using then again. My bets are the rude, incompetent courier has stolen it.

Haha, a temper tantrum? I have actually been polite and pretty laid back about this until they mentioned they have 'misplaced' my parcel. After looking into the company a bit more I have found articles and reviews of couriers taking the parcels or throwing them away. And yes he was rude, I have paid for a service that I am not receiving...if I spoke to a customer the way he spoke to me I would no longer have my job.

Not giving you service is not the same as being rude. Perhaps you deserved the rude treatment.

You cannot just accuse someone of stealing it is a great way to get sued, and not giving in to your temper tantrum is not the same as being rude.

UK Mail Rude, Arrogant, Liars

A couple of months ago one of my suppliers used UKMail to delivery over £1000 worth of stock to myself. This delivery never arrived, tracking showed no information whatsoever. I spent two days trying to get information out of the customer service number but found the staff extremely arrogant and not interested. I was given conflicting information every time I spoke to somebody different. Information varied from "It was never collected" to "it will be with you today".

Eventually at around 7:30pm 3 days after the goods where shipped I get a knock on my door to find a UK Mail driver with my goods. I of course asked her why the goods were delayed and why no scan information was available. I was of course annoyed with the whole situation of know knowing where my £1000 stock was and the lack of care from customer services, but I was in no way rude or abusive to the driver and told her a couple of times that I wasn't blaming her personally, but the company she worked for where disgraceful.
Anyway, I signed for the goods on a bit of paper and she left. I thought nothing more of it.

A few days later my supplier needed to collect some goods from me and arranged with UK Mail to make the collection on a certain day. The collection was urgent as they needed the goods the following day. Needless to say and true to form UK Mail never turned up. My suppliers arranged for DHL to make the collection which was collected the same day.

Three days later UK Mail turns up to collect the goods. I was out at the time, but returned about 10 minutes after they had arrived. My wife told them that there was nothing for them to collect and yet they did not leave and were on my property for approx. 10 minutes before I returned. On my return they had parked their van in my driveway blocking my way so I gestured to the driver to move his van out of the way. He did and I pulled onto the driveway and got out of the car. There were two drivers. The woman who made the delivery a few days ago and a man (who turned out to be her husband).
I knew why they were there and immediately told them both that there was nothing to collect as they were three days late and we had used a decent courier to make the delivery. I proceeded to walk into my property and ushered my wife in as well. However, on the way in I had a clipboard shoved under my nose and told I had to sign the document. I refused and things got a little heated.

Basically this guy had come along because the woman had apparently told him that I was rude and abusive to her when she made the previous delivery. I told him and her that she was lying and attempted to get their details as I would report them to head office. I was then told that they did not work for UK Mail but where contractors and that he owned the business and would not give me any information.
I eventually got them off my property where she should from the safety of the van that I was a f*****g w****r and he was saying I was a f*****g d***h**d.

I then wrote to UK Mail head office to make a formal complaint but emails went ignored until I found an email address for the CEO. Although he did not respond personally, I did get a response which was very dismissive.
They did agree to look into it but basically came back with a couldn't care less attitude of "they said you were abusive so it's your work against theirs" so nothing more they can do. If I wanted to I could report the matter to the police. I think the police have better things to do, so I dropped it.

So two months down the line, I place an order for some goods from an online retailer not realising they use UK Mail until they sent me an order dispatch email.
The tracking information look like this

17/02 Collected
17/02 Book/Awaiting Collection
18/02 Out for Delivery
18/02 Delayed
18/02 At Delivery Location

Expected delivery date says 19/02 so I waited in all day on the 19th. It didn't turn up so I contacted the retailer who then contacted UK Mail. They told the retailer that they had tried to deliver on 18th but I was abusive so they left again.

Any retailer reading this should honestly think twice about using this excuse for a delivery company. They are cheap for a reason, they will destroy your reputation and I for one will look very carefully from now on to see what courier is used for deliveries and if a retailer uses this company they will not get my business. Unfortunate.

UK Mail Non Delivery of Parcel

I find it hard to put into words my distress at the way I have been treated by UK Mail. I ordered an item from a company specialising in bed and bath linen, and was sent various information by them and UK Mail as to when it was to be delivered.
I waited in over 2 days, as varying times of delivery were scheduled and rescheduled, and when nothing was delivered I attempted to contact UK Mail by phone and email.
I cannot overstate my feelings of anger and distress when I was informed that my case was closed, and the driver had delivered my item and I had signed for it. As this was completely untrue, I contacted Soak and Sleep, the original company, and they arranged for another item to be redelivered. I have been waiting in all day so far, and nothing has been delivered.
A request for information from UK Mail resulted in a rude email saying Case Closed and that my signature was clearly legible. I have requested a copy of that signature, and tried phoning. To no avail. I have bought hundreds of items online and have never ever had a problem with any other delivery company. UK Mail is in a league of it's own when it comes to appalling service in every respect. The trouble is, what can I do about it? Making a complaint helps get some of the anger out, but leaves me with nowhere to go. I am recontacting Soak and Sleep who have been helpful so far, but how does UK Mail get any form of censure for what it is doing?

Having contacted the original company who supplied the goods, they have just managed to get the next parcel delivered. The courier turned out to be a delightful woman who admitted that she had delivered it to the wrong address and had it signed for. I need to make clear though that the complaints and query procedures via phones and emails of UK Mail, need to be much improved. The drivers who make genuine mistakes, are being let down by the staff in the office. I received no customer care from them at all, quite the opposite in fact. I was rudely treated and made out to be a liar, accused of receiving and signing for an item, then saying that it hadn't been delivered. UK Mail need to treat their customers with more respect, and if it hadn't been for the fact that the customer care from Soak and Sleep was so good, I'm not sure that the outcome would have been so good for me.

UK Mail Terrible Service

Terrible terrible service! I have been waiting for my iPhone since the the 5th December 2014 from O2 and I have been absolutely stunned by the shambolic and horrendous nature of the service offered! If I was O2 I would be very keen to conduct a review to determine whether anyone else had complained about this company as I bet there has been a few. I ordered the phone on Wed 4 Dec 14 and thought I would give them some time (1st Strike) to get sorted, so opted for Friday delivery. Stayed at home (lost revenue) all day Friday (date of delivery 05/12/14 according to O2) as that was the time period initially stated. Imagine my surprise when I was tested at 11.26 on the 5th stating that the delivery time slot would be 21:07-22:07. Benefit of the doubt (strike 2) so stayed in but no delivery... What? First of all 21:07 is not before 1700hrs and then not to deliver? Sterling work chaps, sterling work.
I complain to O2 and almost go to Vodafone. Next thing a text on Saturday the 6th from UKMail stating delivery would be between 13:47 and 14:47 - yes we are back on. NO DELIVERY (I have since found out that the drive said that he tried delivery - no idea where he was but not at the delivery address which has not physically moved for 200years! "but that is what the scan says" Really? Lies!). But wait - this gets better! I receive a text on Monday 8th Dec 14 saying it will be delivered between 0026hrs and 0129hrs on Tue 9th December (must have been as we have not invented time travel yet surely?). I wait up - but you guessed it...
I informed O2 that they need to review there current service level agreement as my opinion of the O2 brand has been damaged and they changed my delivery address so that it can be dropped at my office. It is now 9 Dec 14 and I get a text stating the delivery would be made at 18:26. Jesus - only one of the four slots have actually been before the 1700hrs stated by O2. I call O2 and state that what was the point when it is a business address and I will not be there. They say they will check and call UKMail who in turn says that they can't get hold of the driver (oh the irony) and that I (yes I) will have to call back in an hour. Obviously sensing my extreme displeasure the O2 assistant says I can ring her back in an hour to do the honours. This I do, but to find out that there is no record of the previous call by O2 to UKMail (they appear to deny a lot) and that my phone is being delivered to my home before 1800 (FFS). I outline the complete ludicrously of this situation and approach to the lady at O2 who states that change of address takes 24 hours and that I should have been told (which I was not and she apologised). I wait to see what happens tomorrow. Bizarrely UKMail says they have only made one attempt but I have at least three texts to say that they were delivering to my home. Admin is not a town in China UKMail...

UK Mail NONE DELIVERY

Purchased goods from Internet for a Birthday present for 7th November 2014. Received email from ukmail informing me that delivery was to be on Tuesday 4th November 2014.
Due to work commitments I re - arranged delivery to the 6th November 2014. Waited in all day for delivery. At 16.45 hrs I phoned ukmail. After being put on hold due to large volume of phone calls to company I finally got through to be told my goods are still sitting in ukmail depot in Runcorn. Explained that goods are for the following day 7th November 2014 for a Birthday present. Told I could go and pick up my goods from depot after paying for delivery. They was as much use as a chocolate fire guard. I ended up having to phone company I purchased my goods from to explain my situation. Now am in limbo for when I will get my goods. I would NOT purchase any goods from anyone who users ukmail as there courier. I have used UPS, FEDEX, YODEL in past and had no problems what so ever. Be warned do not deal with ukmail as they do not care about customer service at all. Now am left with very little to give for a special Birthday. Shame on you UKMAIL.

UK Mail Bad Staff

I have read many bad reviews of this place and now to experience there service for myself. There seems to be something going on with the Croydon management and staff. Items not turning up. Items arriving 7 days late. I think if I didn't complain numerous amounts of times about my item that they said was delivered, they would of keep the goods. Very dodgy people in control of this department in Croydon. Please UK Mail Management have a look into this depot and get some workers that are reliable. UK Mail is getting a bad name from the useless, effortless people that work at the Croydon depot. You have lost one customer anyway.

UK Mail Beyond disgraceful service

This is a delivery service that I will never use again and advise others to avoid like the plague.

They claimed they tried to deliver my parcel 4 times on 4 consecutive days. This is an outright lie. Someone was home on all 4 of those days and the parcel NEVER arrived. No cards were ever left, either on any of those supposed days. They have not responded to a single email and you CANNOT get through on the phone. Finally managed to rearrange delivery for today, however, they would not specify a time. Having waited until roughly 3pm, the parcel still has not turned up so spent about half an hour trying to get through to find out where the parcel was and get this? They told me that the parcel has been returned to sender. No apology or anything. Was simply told that we would likely not have to pay the delivery fee again. By heck am I bothering to use them again. They arrange delivery for today but then go and send the parcel back to sender so I wait here pretty much all day for a parcel that was never going to arrive.

Complete waste of time and incredibly angry by the non-existent customer service. Awful, woeful, abysmal service.

UK Mail Terrible service!

Really unhappy with UK mail and in fact I find them to be completely useless.
I first had problems with UK mail when my package failed to arrive twice when I had waited in especially for the delivery. The response from UK mail was that the package was waiting to be processed for delivery at the depot (no one told me this and I was left both times to work it out for myself whilst waiting in and giving up two whole days expecting it to arrive) I then decided to go to the depot to collect the package and had to put in a complaint as the local depot closed 15 minutes early, leaving me unable to collect the package I had travelled a long way to collect. The man at the depot was rude and abrasive to me and highly unhelpful. He said he was going home, had packed away and put the alarms on and wouldn't let me in despite the website clearly stating the place should be open til 12. Since then the package has still failed to be re-delivered on several occasions. Each time I am not contacted and left to phone up and complain as to where my package is. I then have an alternative delivery address To them with the hope that this would sort out the problem, however the package was still "waiting for further instruction" when I rang up to see where it was. This has now taken up a substantial amount of my time and I am severely unhappy with the service. No only this, when you phone the contact number you keep getting cut off. When you do manage to get through you are passed from one person to the next.
Terrible service all round. Bring back more Royal Mail!
Katie

I was expecting a parcel from sky via ukmail on the 7th Feb 2014.

A week later I get the consignment number off sky and ukmail say it was sent back and signed by sky that morning as the drivers had no access.

So sky resent the parcel (a galaxy tab 3 offered for singing in online).

This was due 24th. So I rang ukmail know 24th to ask progress.. They said it was out for delivery that day.

Later I rang again and they said "the driver attempted but the entrance to flats was locked".

I explained the driver has to buzz my. Flat or he cannot get in as it's a high rise block with high security.

The next following days the drivers failed to buzz my door despite I told them more then once on the phone, I even left a mobile number. (and the door buzzer does work as other people used it)

On the 25th I rang and told them again, and she said on phone redeliver on the 27th, (i wouldn't be in on 26th).

On 27th I found it said delivered.. I rang and they said it was signed by flat ## by some guy, on the 26th (the day there weren't ment to deliver to) at 11:02am.

So I've been waiting weeks, they refuse to buzz my flat.. But happy to give it to a random guy 8 floors below me?

They said "flat ## offered to sign and bring it up to you later, don't know if he said he knew you or anything though"

Now I suspect it's been stolen off this guy.. Why? Because everyone who lives here knows nob do can get on anyone else's floor/landing except your own.. So he would know he will never be able to bring it up.

Naturally I went all the way outside to buzz his flat to calmly ask "Hi I'm calling from flat ### I heard you have a parcel for me"

However there was no answer, I simply though maybe they are work.

Another 2 times later that day no answer, considering curtains had been closed an lights on.

Next morning tried again to find "intercom turned off".. So now there is no way possible for me to contact this guy as I can't get on his floor.

Ukmail REFUSE to help and REFUSE to reply to my emails requesting where to email a formal complaint to.

They just reply, "sorry you are not satisfied with our service. You parcel was signed by a ####### ###### at flat ##"

This was the reply to my. Email stating that their form didn't allow me. To send the complaint when It was over 400 characters, I simply then asked who to email my. Complaint to.

I cannot reply via email, as they reply via a noreply address!

I have contacted them many times but still not answering my question avoiding and coming up with excuses saying how they were "authorised to deliver to neighbour on this type of service"

Thats odd.. Sky are angry, I. Am angry, we both find this unacceptable and definitely NOT AUTHORISED to leave with a neighbour floors away from mine especially.

Oh.. And there's notices up telling delivery services "do not leave parcels with neighbours" on the letterboxes.

I have got citizens advice postal dispute service involved now as ukmail keep refusing to answer my question correctly, and it should been obvious to the drivers to buzz my flat and due to the security and multiple locked doors on each floor, that they should not allow some guy to "offer to sign for me"

Especially as this is a high rise block in an area targeted by drug dealers, thief's scam artists etc as I live rather close to a major football ground, so it attracts tourists and therefore criminals and scams.

This is why the building has basically a permanent lock down unless you live here, or of course buzz the flat to let you in, which they have to meet you at the lift on their floor so you can even get to the flat doors.

Ukmail don't care.. They said I have to contact u depart or use port to give special permission to ukmail to retrieve the parcel.. But there is no such company when I search.. So I tried ringing them back. But now they won't answer the calls. (I rang before trying to email)

I can never recommend ukmail. Police may soon be involved and considering I've had to wait indoors all day every day and complaining every day since 7th then more since 24th, and that I suffer from health issues and stress, my health has gotten worse and it's affected me mentally and physically.

Very angry... Lucky I have tv to watch and catchup on... Felt. Like killing myself due to this c***..

UK Mail Non-delivery of parcel

Day 1 Tuesday - Came home to find a card saying could not deliver because no one home. We didn't know what day delivery was being made and today (day 4) still don't know which of several purchases from different suppliers was being delivered. Card said will be delivered tomorrow.

Day 2 Wednesday - Waited in all day, working in front bedroom of bungalow overlooking front gate and next to front door. No one came. Phones UK Mail, they said driver had tried to deliver twice and now delivery had to be rearranged. They said delivery had been attempted Tuesday and Wednesday and the card had been left at the second attempt so they would not have automatically delivered the following day as contact had to be made to rearrange. I pointed out that this was the Wednesday and that positively no one had attempted to make any delivery. The told me that the driver on the second day had made a note that the house had a long drive, I replied that the drive is 2 cars long and that my car was parked on it all day long. Received apology from person on the phone with a promise to definitely deilver tomorrow, day 3!

Day 3 Thursday - Again waited in all day no delivery was attempted. Phone UK Mail again, rather bored young woman took details and said will definitely deliver deliver tomorrow (Friday). I said we could not be at home at all on Friday so she asked if there was somewhere safe the parcel could be left. I said in the greenhouse in the back garden. She typed this into the computer and said this would be done.

Day 4 Friday - Came home Friday evening to find that, once again, the parcel had not been delivered. Too late to contact UK Mail as after 7 p.m. Will vent my spleen tomorrow but after reading all the complaints on this site I don't hold out any hope of satisfaction. When I find out by process of elimination which supplier had sent the parcel by UK Mail (Christmas presents by the way) I will contact them with all of this complaint and tell them that I will never purchase from them again if I find that UK Mail will be used as carrier. If everyone does this when deliveries go wrong we should manage to put them out of business.

UK MAIL are incredibly bad. I ordered a next day delivery and it is now four days late. I phoned customer services five times. They promised to call back with more information but no one did. One time the very disinterested girl on the phone just hung up on me when she couldn't answer my questions.

I still do not know when/if I will receive my deliver. I regularly use DHL and this is the first time I've used UK mail and most definitely the last.

Words of advice

Never use uk mail for delivery. They are a shoddy uncaring totally incompetent outfit who have no consideration whatsoever for their customers.
I have sadly had the misfortune to deal with them via 02 as i had ordered both a new phone and a new ipad in 2 separate transactions several months apart.
On both occasions uk mail failed to deliver.
On the first occasion having tracked the phone delivery was expected that day.
Having been in all day, nothing was delivered.
On contacting uk mail the following morning, a major task in itself, i was told the driver had attempted delivery but received no reply so left a card.
Presumably this delivery was attempted on the moon and the card left there as no van ever came that day despite what uk mail said. In fact i was accused of obviously being both blind and deaf not to see or hear there van.
I eventually had to call at their depot and collect in person having to take 4 items of id.
The second occasion happened this week with an order for a new ipad.
Again delivery was expected as the tracking had stated' 'out for delivery' from 08. 30.
At 5pm i checked and the message had changed to 'please call'.
I tried for 2 hours and only got their answerphone with a crass comment about 'call back later'
I gave up and tried at 7am the following morning.
After almost giving up the will to live, at 8am the call was answered and frankly the excuses given for non delivery were way beyond the greatest imagination of the best fiction authors in the world.
Excuses such as:
'your road doesn't exist'
'the van was denied access by a fallen tree'
'the parcel must have fallen out of the van'
'it was too dark to find it'

There were others but the worst thing of all:
No apology or any semblance of remorse.

No company like humans is perfect and mistakes are made.
If these are admitted, an apology made and the problem sorted, most people including myself are happy. To be treated like a dirt or an inconsequential piece of matter is not acceptable.
Uk mail needs to learn the art of customer service in all its forms and guises. I for one would never knowingly use them again until they radically and drastically improve,
Use uk mail at your peril unless your happy not to receive your product and enjoy being treated with the utmost disdain.

I booked an important business delivery throb heir website using the account hey had created for me. I wait the entire day that was scheduled for collection and no one turns up. I don't hear anything from the uk mail and when I try to contact my representative by mail and phone I get no response. The following day I try everything, calling year customer service line (automatically hangs up after a minute and obviously over charged) my sales rep, all addresses I can find and nothing. Still have no idea if someone is going to come pick up my delivery... I ve wasted so much time for. Ogling, really shocking. He least they should do is reply to their mails...

I have been trying to get information on when a Dell laptop will be delivered. There is no information in the website or customer communications other than "Wednesday" to suggest when the delivery slot might be. It is impossible to submit a query through the website as there is an error message saying there are unsuitable characters in the comments field (there are not). Having tried to call the 0845 helpline to speak to one of the staff "who are available to help you" (they are not), I was connected but because my query did not relate to a mobile phone, the phone then just rang for 10 minutes (not even a recorded message stating you're on hold). I gave up after 3 goes, then got connected through the mobile phone option to a weary customer service representative who confirmed she could do nothing to help me at all as it wasn't a phone I was expecting. She didn't know the delivery slots either.
How is one to find out when to expect a parcel or do I assume it's between 7 and 7, 9 and 9? What a terrible terrible service.

My parcel got lost! I have been calling them for 3 days now and every time I have been told it would be delivered in an hour! It is already my 3th unpaid day off work because apparently it was not possible to change delivery address! I am still waiting! I wrote a complaint and only got something like "thank you the case is closed" answer !They lie to your face and do not care! Horrible horrible company! Please stay away from them!

I am appalled at the lack of communication and the overall disgusting service I have received from this courier system.
I have been misinformed and basically lied to for in excess of 48 hours with no apology or attempt to rectify the situation.
My parcel, a now missing birthday gift, was re arranged for delivery on Friday 15th Feb. This delivery never materialised and after several 30 minute phone calls, each costing an extortionate amount, I was informed that my parcel, an expensive piece of IT equiptment had in fact "gone missing".
I was promised a delivery the next day, before midday, suprisingly enough that never appeared, despite another hour on the phone, being on hold and then being cut off. At a cost to 10p per minute I find this very hard to justify.
I am now missing a birthday gift and have been housebound for the best part of 48 hours with no apology or phone call to update me.
Pray tell what is the point of providing contact numbers when none of them are used?
How can a company lose such an item?
I am still awaiting the item and I have also made a formal complaint to both syncreon and Apple to inform them of your sub standard service.

Mrs Brenda Knipe

Just had an awful experience with UkMail. A delivery was arranged by my internet provider between 1 and 5pm. I took the day off and stayed home all day. At 4.30pm I checked their website to track my package and it said 'Attempted delivery at 3.38pm'. No one rang my doorbell and my neighbour was also here all day and they did not try her doorbell either. I was fuming! I went downstairs to get the card and no card was left. I tried to call them immediately, their number rang and rang and then the line went dead. I tried many times and it made me really angry! Two days later I still didn't hear anything from them or where my package was. I emailed them to ask to be contacted asap regarding my package.. NO Reply! Then 6 days later, I called them and got through someone. The guy was obnoxious, just repeating 'they attempted delivery at 3.38pm' even though I could see that info myself and I knew they didn't. He blatantly made me feel like a liar and kept repeating that to annoy me and when I lost it ( I shouted to get me a manager) he cut me off. I had never seen myself this frustrated and angry. Unbelievable, appalling service from start to finish. Please do not use this company.

I ordered a phone through Orange. I received a text message on Tuesday 08/01/13 saying that my delivery was due on Wednesday 09/01/13 between 13.30 and 17.30. I was also told that if I was not around when the phone was delivered I would be charged for the cost of the delivery. I took an entire day off from work to make sure I was at home for the delivery which never arrived. In the evening I checked the website which said delivery was attempted at 10.30am. This is outside the time stated on the text message however I was at home at this time and no delivery was attempted, it also stated that a card was left, no card was left at my house.
On Thursday 10/01/13 in the morning I rang UKmail to a very grumpy and not at all useful customer service woman, she took my phone number and said my phone would be delivered sometime in the day (10/01/13). It never arrived, I called UKmail again at 15.30 after waiting for 40 minutes to get through to someone I was greeted by another very rude and miserable sounding woman who said its not her fault and that I would receive my phone by 18.30. She then rang me back at 16.00 saying I would receive my phone within the hour. My phone did not come within the hour and at 18.30 I called UKmail once again this time greeted by a gentleman who sounded very disinterested he said he would call the depot and then get back to me, which he didn't!

Overall I would like to say pretty much all UK companies are now a joke and do not care about their customers, however UKmail is by far the worst I have come across. They fed me lies all day just to keep me quiet and when I rang near closing time they fed me another lie just to get me off the line!

UK Mail Illogical, unhelpful customer service

due to deliver a mobile phone. Ist attempt someone was in but doorbell not used so not heard. Second time failed to deliver in time frame specified. I therefore rang with consignment details to check delivery. They confirmed it was on the van for delivery and would check status and ring back. No call so rang again. Different person answered who refused to talk to me because I wasn't the named person for the package, even though, unprompted, I quoted the consignment number, the correct address and postcode and the same surname. Bear in mind they had already been prepared to deliver to this address and would have accepted a signature from anyone opening the door. They also state on their paperwork that they accept a signatory from a neighbour for delivery to a neighbour's address. I have waited in all day and still don't know if and when they are coming and have no way to find out as the person for whom the package is intended is at university in another city and I can't contact her because she has no phone! This is not a service company and I would not like to buy from a company who uses them .

UK Mail NON DELIVERY

UKMail are a bunch of dishonest cowboys. What is the world coming to when you can't even trust people to deliver a damn parcel! Not only do they not deliver, they LIE and say they tried to deliver. Right so I'm at home off work ALL day, tracking the parcel every 45mins to an hour and I manage to not hear the doorbell even though I am 15ft from the damn door?

I tracked the parcel for the last time at 6.12pm, to my astonishment the website stated "delivery attempted 6.11pm". WHAT? I kept looking at it in astonishment. According to these liars they attempted to delivery while I was tracking the parcel, 15ft from the door. They don't answer the phone, I found another number, a 'manager' wanted to know where I got his number from. He put me on hold then comes back to tell me a card was left at a glass door. Interesting. Nobody here has a glass door, does this glass door have a number?! Oh it gets better, he cannot locate the driver and the parcel is now back in the depot. Yep it took 15mins to get back to the depot which is nowhere near my home. I wasnt aware teleporters were available now, please let me know where I can purchase one.

When asked for a name to direct the complaint to, I was told to send an email to customer services, this was supposedly a customer services manager! Oh and he's not allowed to tell me who the driver was.

BUNCH OF DISGUSTING UNPROFESSIONAL TIME WASTERS!

This is the response I received to my complaint:
Good Afternoon,
Thank you for your email. I firstly would like to apologise for the service you have received from our company and with the delay with you getting your parcel. I would also like to apologise for you not being able to get through to our customer service department we are currently receiving high volumes of calls. I have escalated this to the depot mangers who will interview the driver to see why this has happened. I have also passed this email over to a team leader who will also get in contact with you.
I apologise for any inconvenience this has caused you.

Kind regards,
Bristol Customer Care
UK Mail

Not heard anything since. Did you speak to them? They very cheekily changed the status of my parcel to "rearranged by customer" after speaking to me. They said I'd have it before 12pm the following day...arrived approx 3pm.

They really don't care about their reputation. Hope you get your parcel!

This company is terrible!

Again, I've had the same issue. Three deliveries I've had from UK Mail and I've had to collect two and the third (I'm assured by an automated response service, not a human) will be redelivered tomorrow...I won't hold my breath.

The regular con being employed that I recognise (having been a delivery driver myself, throughout the 4 years I was at University), was done to me today, same as last time:

I got a message from them, thus:

"Your order is estimated for delivery by UK Mail between 14:06 - 15:06"

'Happy days', I think. 'How convenient.'

So I take the afternoon off work, and am home by 1230, to see a (completely blank) UK Mail card. I know this scam...The driver did not write the time of visit, and the number (6539704) on the 'We missed you' card is, until now, not recognised on their system.

I frantically called all of the UK Mail advertised numbers solidly for an hour and a half, all still before my allotted time, in the hope that maybe the driver could be tracked and I'd meet him somewhere.

All their numbers are redirected to the same automated attendant, and there is no way of speaking to anyone.

For the next 3 hours, whenever i enter my consignment number, the system tells me my parcel is out for delivery. Only after the time of the delivery actually passes, does the interactive voice response message tell you that a delivery was attempted.

This has become their standard practice, and it is no coincidence that the option to speak to an adviser has been removed.

Not happy at all.

I purchased the a product and I was originally told that it would be delivered on the 23/09/2015 between 13.04-14.04 hours. It wasn't! I contacted the company and was told that it had been delivered and signed for by myself. When i told them it hadn't, they checked and said that it had been returned to their depot. (Given no reason at the time, but told on my fourth phone call to them that the delivery van had broken down!) and that it would be delivered the following day within the same time scope. Again it wasn't. I contacted them for a third time and was told that it would definitely be delivered yesterday 25/09 between the hours of 14.00-15.00 as i was unavailable any earlier. Yet again it wasn't delivered! I have been assured that it will be delivered this coming Monday. I am absolutely disgusted as to how the company have treated me and will never recommend them to anyone!

I couldn't agree more. They claimed they tried to deliver 4 times on 4 consecutive days, despite someone being home on all 4 of those days. No cards were ever left. They have not responded to a single email and you CANNOT get through on the phone. Spent half an hour trying to get through today to find out where the parcel was (as redelivery was today and I took a day off to wait for it) and get this? They told me that the parcel has been returned to sender. No apology or anything. Was simply told that we would likely not have to pay the delivery fee again. By heck am I bothering to use them again.

Totally - I had the exact same experience today! Took day off work to take delivery, am at home and checking website for updates...only to see, like you, that a delivery was attempted - total liars as I was here. The also claim a card was left, but there is no card anywhere! Really c*ap service all the way around!
