I ordered the Complete Television Series on DVD of Hawaii 5-0. My credit card was charged but I never received the DVD's. When I call the number 1 877 7 TVSHOW, there is an automated answer, but no one ever picks up after that. I understand these people have 3 different sites that have been ripping off people. Beware!

Thank you,
Angeline Nicolopoulos.

I need help! They are slowly closing down all of their sites. They have removed phone numbers, emails, live chats and some of the sites have already disappeared. If anyone has a phone number, address, another name for these jerks or knows what names they use on ebay and amazon. Please let me know. .

I know i read it somewhere. And i cannot locate it now. But someone knows their ebay or amazon names. . .

Please help. Everything i get. I turn over to all agencies.

So to help me is to help yourself as well as everyone else who has to post!

Thanks

I ordered this product for Christmas: Get Smart Complete Series. I was quite disappointed when it finally came. Several episodes are corrupted (start but don't play to the end). One entire DVD ended up being episodes of "Spencer for Hire!" "TVLand" appears in the bottom right corner of all the episodes, indicating to me that this has been taped off cable. They have never responded to my requests for clarification on these matters. I am happy to have the majority of the episodes but not at the expense of the creators of the show. I will await my opportunity to testify at an FCC hearing.

I ordered the "Get Smart" series on February 11, 2007. The series of DVDs arrived a few weeks later. Several of the plastic DVD boxes were broken, the labeling on the DVDs appeared quite unprofessional, 1 DVD was missing and at least 1 DVD was corrupted and could not be played. I phoned up the company on March 7 and they indicated that a replacement series would be sent to me. I checked again on March 20, April 16, May 29, July 4 and July 7. On two occasions April 16 and May 29 it was indicated "they were waiting on their supplier". It was impossible to get them to commit to a precise date for delivery. Finally, on May 29th they indicated that it would be in the mail with 2-weeks. Six-weeks later .. nothing! My credit card company has a 120 day period to make a complaint. I just missed that date. Result=$USD187+ down the drain. Conclusions: TV addicts can not be trusted or believed.

I strongly suspect that someone at TVAddicts.com is stealing credit card info to buy things online.

I placed an order with TVADDICTS.COM online using my credit card. A couple of weeks later, mysterious charges started showing up on my card. I suspected a new store where I had just done business for the first time, because the clerk had asked to see the security code on the back of the card. I had the charges refused and the card canceled.

When I got the replacement card, with a new account number, I reordered from TVAddicts.com. A couple of weeks later, mysterious charges started showing up on my new card of a very similar nature to the previous fraudulent charges. I had NOT done business with that suspicious store or with anyone else who asked for the security code since receiving the new card.

None of the fraudulent charges was very big. From the nature of them I suspect a college kid living in the US. And obviously working for TVAddicts.com.

Totally wish I did research before I bought but it was a last minute xmas gift. Ordered the complete dvd collection of laverne and shirley on 12/12/07 - they billed my card the next day for $100+. They sent me an email in January telling me it was on backorder and have not heard from them since. Tried calling two different numbers that have same stupid message - have left messages on it but to no avail. Have also tried emailing them but they get bounced back as well. Has anybody had an luck with legal action against these criminals?

wow! I am so happy that i found this site by checking up on the tvaddicts via google, and i feel soo sorry for those that got swindled. after this happened to me from another site, i told my wife to always do a check on the company or website you are ordering from. i am inpulsive and tend to order quickly without thinking - i know stupid me-, but now it is either from someplace i know and trust, or i wait until i can get it in person at the local store. i wish all you guys and gals the best in getting your money back and lets hope that the ### get caught and tossed in jail.

That company is a freaking joke. My sister ordered all the "Boy Meets World" dvds, when they arrived it was easy to see they were copyrighted, and poorly done so. 1 disc even had batman on it. then when trying to get in contact with them, they dont answer..

Ive tried contacting the producers of the dvd, but no luck. the BBB got back to me about it, but its such a slow and painful process..

I ordered the Emergency complete boxset because it said that these were originals, advert free, and supposed to come with episode listing, etc. What came was boxes damaged in transit (enclosed loose only in ordinary large envelope with no packing / padding, so of course damage was inevitable), no episode listing, episodes were dubbed off VHS recorder from TV complete with announcer telling what program was next after the end of Emergency episode. After numerous emails requesting replacement boxes (I'm asking for replacement covers only, not the disks), initial replies from them requested me to be patient as they had backorders to attend to. These amounted to nothing after 6 months of monthly reminder emails to them as they don't bother replying . I'm in Australia, so taking legal action is a hassle. If anyone orders from them in the America and receive terrible service coupled with illegally dubbed (pirated) DVDs being advertised as originals, please DO TAKE LEGAL ACTION against them and teach them a lesson, put them out of business, whatever! Fancy being charged top dollars for stuff I could've recorded off the TV myself! Buyers please be aware!

I too have been scammed by tvaddicts.tv. They billed by credit card on November 8, 2007. To date, (03/22/2008) I have not received the two show packages I ordered (Highway Patrol and Rescue 8). I received numerous promises via email and live chat operator 'Jen' that my shows were on backorder and would be shipped next week. Next week unfortunately has never arrives. I was ripped off by tvaddixts for $258.01. I have contacted my credit card company and they have given be a conditional credit for the amount I was billed, pending conclusion of their investigation. I suggest other who have paid by credit card and have been ripped off to immediately contact their credit card issuer for assistance. Perhaps they will be able to get your money back for you. Good luck to all...

I placed an order with TV Addicts on 11/08/2007. Never received and of the ordered items. I got nothing but the run-around from the customer service on-line chat operator. They kept telling me that my order would ship 'next week' The only problem with that is that 'next week' has never arrived. TV Addicts DID immediately charge my credit card. Finally, after receiving no product or follow-up from TV Addicts, I called my credit card issuer and the have reversed the charge of $258.01 and are now investigating my case. ATTENTION: FELLOW INTERNET CONSUMERS::: The site is nothing more than a rip-off. Stay after from them. You will not receive what you order. Another note you should be aware of is that the LIVE Chat operator connection has disappeared from the web page and now I have found that all the customer service lines have been disconnected. BUYER BE WARE!

I orderHighway Patrol starring Broderick Crawford and Rescue 8 starring Jim Davis. My order was placed on 11/11/08/2007. The order was charged to my credit card and they submitted a charge to my account. So far nothing has been received and I have been promised 8 times that my order "would ship next week". The only problem is that 'next week' never arrives. I just tried the 2 phone numbers I have for TV Addicts [protected] and [protected]. Thoses phone numbers are now disconnected. Even when they were working, TV Addicts customer service department never returned any of my calls inquiring on the status of my order. What a rip off. Does anyone have any suggestions? I beleive my next step will be to contact my credit card issuer to see if they can reverse the fraudulently made charges.

I too was scammed. Order The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air DVD set for my son on 1/5/08. My credit card was immediately charged for $8 MORE than what my receipt stated. I emailed, never heard back. Three days after I ordered, I get an email saying it's on backorder. It's now 2/14 and I have nothing. I called my CC company on 1/24 after I found this website (too late) and they are trying to dispute my charge and get my money back. I continue to get emails from them stating it's on backorder. And then today I get a new email saying it's on backorder and that my Credit Card will NOT be charged until the DVD's are in stock and shipped to me. RIGHTTTT. It says if I want to cancel my order, to click, which I did and the page doesn't exist. They also have a phone number listed as Toll Free and it's not. I've replied to every email saying I want to cancel my order and receive a refund. I've left voice messages, I've tried Live Chat. I get no response at all. I also have filed a complaint with the FBI internet fraud department. I've learned my lesson...investigate BEFORE ordering. These people are getting rich off of us s*ckers!

In January 2007, I ordered DVD of TV series Remember WENN, which cost, with shipping, over $200.00. They arrived quickly, but Disk 2 of a 15 disk set was defective and would only pay about half the segments. I went on line and spoke to a woman named "Marie". She said the disk would be replaced "very soon". Well here I am 13 months later and I have never heard from them. I have written, e-mailed and left messages on their voice mail, all to no avail. I would certainly not recommend them to anyone,a threat which does not scare them in the least. Once they have your money, kiss it good-bye.

I am another victim, 8 months ago I orderd GI joe dvds from them and I luckily played a dvd from the middle, well the dvd ended before the show ended. I then decided to play a different dvd and it had nothing on it. 100.00 out the window. I have emailed several times and I get the same answer the dvd's are out of stock right now when we get a set well ship it right out. 8 months later and still nothing. Asked for a refund nothing! I filed with the canadian police as well!

Site News -Updated: Massive Bust in Canada Shuts Down Piracy Ring - Some Sites Named

Were you a victim?
Posted by TVShowsOnDVD.com Staff
1/09/2008

Article Updated on 1/09/2008

We've posted various warnings about "companies" that sell pirated TV-DVDs on the 'net, often disguising them as legitimate sets and selling them to unsuspecting consumers, so it was with great joy that we read about the RCMP busting a major piracy ring in Montreal this past week.

50 RCMP officers arrested 8 individuals on December 19 after conducting raids on two Montreal locations. They intercepted packages containing 5,000 discs over a period of 4 days, and netted 15,000 discs and 200 DVD burners in an operation that could produce 14,000 discs a day. They're also asking people who may have been defrauded by these individuals to contact the RCMP:

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police encourages consumers to be cautious. Counterfeit DVDs are usually of inferior quality. The RCMP invites every person believing to have been misled into purchasing a counterfeit DVD instead of an original copy to report it to the RCMP at [protected], or to contact the Canadian Motion Picture Distributors Association at [protected] to verify the legitimacy of Web sites.

We've received hundreds of reports of pirated TV shows on DVD over the past year, many in the previous few weeks, and we expect the actions of the RCMP to put a major dent in the TV-DVD piracy operations in North America. If you've previously ordered a DVD set that turned out to be pirated material, or are awaiting an order for a complete series set that you feel may be pirated, please contact the RCMP at the number above. You can read more about this below.

Update: An article by Kevin Rollason of The Winnipeg Free Press reports that the some of the sites shut down include DVDAvenue.TV, DVD Store, AllMyFavoriteShows.com and Expediteur. You can read his complete article on WinnipegFreePress.com. The pirate sites used the newspaper as a return address for some parcels they sent out, causing the paper to become flooded with packages returned by angry customers.

Well good news, folks. The jig is up. The RCMP, in partnership with the Canadian Motion Picture Distribution Association, launched a major investigation that resulted in raids and arrests last week. I spoke with the CMPDA rep this afternoon, and at his request I'm forwarding every bit of documentation I have: e-mails, debit card transaction records, everything. The latest article on this effort is found at the link provided below. I encourage everyone to contact the RCMP and the CMPDA and help them accumulate evidence. Monsieur Remillard at the Association is very happy to hear from people like us and will welcome all the evidence we can provide.

Karma! It's a ###, ain't it?

My boyfriend and I ordered Scrubs seasons 1-6 on December 11th. Everything seemed fine. We didn't see anything wrong with the website, and we believed that they were an actual company. We also thought the deal was incredible. Duh. Obviously, too good to be true. I have talked to a person on livechat about five different times. I heard the same thing every time, that they were sorry, and they asked me to please give them a few more days. They told my boyfriend that the reason our package wasn't showing up with the tracking number was because canadapost doesn't update their information very often. What the hell? Now, today, reading all this stuff, we realize we're not getting what we ordered (and if we do, it'll be ###ed up). That's $113 down the drain, and I'm ###ing pissed, to say the least. I don't know what to do about it. I guess I can't get a refund from these people? I can't get a hold of ANYONE.

Well, these scammers are pretty smart. I live in Canada, and when i went to order, I saw that Canada is not a country listed for them to ship to. Would anyone be surprised to know that this is part of their scheme. Since they operate our of Montreal, Quebec, Canada, if they were caught stealing from people, they could easily be prosecuted. BUT, since they "only" scam Americans, and people from every other country of the world, for the RCMP to go after them, official complaints would have to be filed in those other countries, and those other countries' police agencies (FBI etc) would have to request the intervention of the RCMP. That is why they are still out there. They operate out of an ISP in Canada called Videotron: www.videotron.ca - Maybe if everyone were to contact them & complain, they might do something. Good Luck!

Unfortunately, I too have been ripped off by AllMyFavorite Shows.com, aka TvAddicts.tv, aka DVDAvenue.tv, and whatever other aliases they are operating under. They shipped me the wrong discs and they assured me they would replace them with the correct ones. THAT WAS OVER 6 MONTHS AGO, and every-time I make contact with them I get an excuse, but I should not worry, I will get the replacements. Yeah, right. Lately the only answer I get from them to my emails is an auto-reply saying they'll contact me within 24 hrs. They never do.

I have a couple of ideas that I think would help rid the internet of these maggots. I have sent all of my internet contacts a detailed account of what these people did to me. I told them that I didn't know advised them to always check to see if there were any complaints about a company before ordering from them and I explained how to check. I asked them to email all of their contacts a copy of forward the email to all of their contacts and asked them to forward to their contacts, on so on. If everyone who has been ripped-off took the same action, in a very short time, nearly everyone on the internet would be warned about these maggots.

To my surprise, many of my contacts emailed me back that they had no idea that you could check out complaints about a company on-line! That then gave me another idea.

I thought that, if Google, Yahoo and the other internet providers would place a prominent advisory right on their desktops advising internet shoppers that they can check to see if a company has any complaints about them before they ordered, and maybe provide a search-bar right in that warning box, it would save thousand of uninformed shoppers millions of dollars, and deal a major blow to these maggots who are ripping us off.

How many of you would have loved to have known about being able to check complains BEFORE you ordered and got screwed?

I have made contact with Google and Yahoo and made and made the suggestion. Hopefully they will see the merit in this suggestion. It is my belief that they would do uninformed shoppers such as I was, an invaluable service. I know I wouldn't have got screwed out of my money.

If any of you wish any further information on what results I have received about this, you can email me at bandcqxx@comcast.net.

DAMN! I wish I'd seen this board 2 days ago. I just ordered 2 sets of DVDs from them: all 5 seasons of The Equalizer, and the 1 (and only) season of Brimstone. These were going to be Christmas presents for my brother and his father-in-law, but given what I've read so far I'm not very confident. The charges are pending on the debit card I used, but haven't cleared yet.

I have to admit, I was a little skeptical about one thing on their web site. They have a nice splashy statement about how transactions are securely processed via SSL encryption, but the little "padlock" symbol that always shows up in one's browser frame when that technology is being used never appears.

Does anyone know where their offices are physically located? That info isn't on their web site, either.

I had bought the complete series of courage the cowardly dog. i had recieved themalmost 2 months from when i ordered it. when i did recieve it, i found loose and scratched discs in the case. the picture and sound quality was horrible. the episodes were direct ports from cartoon network. pretty much a boot leg version of the real thing. TVaddicts will never see my money again. the items that they sell are not even copyrighted, they are homemade not factory made. it even skipps during the episode. i paid $73 for something i couldnt find anywhere else, but i am still not satisfied. TVaddicts recieved a 2/10 for my rating. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!

Submit a complaint to the Federal Trade Commission Bureau!
I bought 'Judging Amy', the whole box set, and found most the DVDs defective. That was in June 2007. Now it's December and even though they promised constantly to replace the set, the replacement has never arrived.

I have submitted a complaint to the Federal Trade Commission Bureau. They collect complaints and then follow them up if it is deemed necessary. If maybe all of you guys filled in the complaint form (available on their web site), the FTC might consider investigating this company and they would finally get their dues.
