I purchased a black suit (pants and jacket) for work 7 weeks ago. Wore it for a week or two and took it to Troy Cleaners to get a dry clean. They did a good job for a decent price, so i brought the suit back 2 weeks later for another dry cleaning. When I got to work that night, someone pointed out that the suit looked "shiny and ironed too hot." I thought nothing of it. Upon closer inspection, I found scorch marks around the base of the jacket and upper legs of the pants. When I went in to inquire about the marks and what could be done to fix them, I was told to "calm down. We use professional equipment. Cannot do that to clothes. You did this at home." I had not taken the suit to any other cleaners, nor had I laundered OR ironed the suit myself. This is unacceptable business practice, and I'm out a suit. When I took my suit to another local dry cleaner, they said nothing could be done for a mark that deep.
