So, I purchased this great deal to go on the cruise for $94 per person. I got 20 people. After all transactions are made, and gave them the dates, I am told that I need to pay $140 departure port fees, and $107 booking and ticketing fee... Im afraid ive been scammed. I just hope I can get the money back...
Here is something I have found on them:

From a FORMER employee:

To everyone who is a member to any one of the below listed fraudulent companies:

... I wish to say that I am sorry... I had no Idea this company that I worked for was like this. Please take this information and do what you have to do with it.

Royal Palm Vacations, Travel Services USA, United Vacation Network, Suncoast Vacations, Suncoast LLC, World Vacations, Imperial Incentives... and many more names... all the same company... many different lawsuits with Atty generals and the state of FL... All ran out of Tampa Bay... (Largo, FL) actually.

For all of you Royal Palm members... there is NO office in Nevada... we were told to tell you that so you could not find where they were...

Google any of the above listed names, or look on ABC Action News of Tampa Bay... and search any of those above names... you will see big news reports of scams...

They never have any vacations available to you... if you place a request for vacation, they will respond "sorry, no avail" which means no availability... when they never even check. For airfare, we used the same websites that you at home do... travelocity, orbits, and expedia... then we would add a percentage to that price because we had to make some money too... So, all this company does is take your $3000.00 - $6000.00, and your ASC (Annual Service Charge). Then they sit there, and do nothing except to reply to you..."sorry no avail" and continue collecting your ASC every year...

http://www.timesfreepress.com/news/2008/oct/03/chattanooga-travel-agency-scam-victims-asked-call-/

To anyone who is a member of any one of those listed fraudulent companies, ... I highly suggest contacting the Florida Atty General, and the Nevada Atty General... good luck all...

FYI: Christy Daniels is the Office Manager (she was in prison for a few years because she was running a fraudulent business before working for these companies... funny huh?!), Amanda is the office supervisor... and the owner of all those false and fraudulent businesses is... Nick Congleton.

This company is still at it! I just got off the phone with a woman who called to say I had a credit on file and because I was a preferred customer I was entitled to other benefits...so then she transferred me to a man who was VERY high pressure. Within one minute, I had confirmed he had the wrong number and, while my first name matched the person they intended to call, my last name did not - so he proceeded to say I could have HER "fully paid for vacations" if I paid a $598 booking fee + $10-$20/night occupancy tax - to be charged now and booked later. Nope, I don't do that. When I explained I don't even stay in $500/night hotels but prefer motels, he blew a gasket and started yelling at me that I'm low class and "not his type of people." To which I thanked him for his call and stated he was right. I'm not interested.

I bought the $99 4 days 3 nights with 18 months to boom it. I was allowed to upgrade to a 8 day 7 night to Brlize, Honduras and Cozumel. My port charges were $390 per person and we went PRIME time Memorisl Day week. So for everything for 2 was just under $1000 for a state room. We met several couples on the trip that paid $1000 each for similar accommodations. We also met a couple who paid about $300 by purchasing in advance through their cruise club. We were first time cruisers and I was very afraid I was getting scammed or stuck in a crappy room. I spent an HOUR on the phone with them asking a billion questions. They were great and eager to make suggestions for first timers. I was even more paranoid because this was right after several cruise lines were in the news for losing power and people getting sick. Over all I was VERY pleased with Travel Service and felt the deal we got was good. We spent another $1500 on the boat in alcohol, pictures and excursions. So by no way was this a $99 cruise. But if you ask the questions upfront like we did you will see your getting a good deal. Good deal at about 30% discount. I'm going to look into frequent cruisers clubs next time and compare.

This is an absolute misrepresentation and scam. We asked all the right questions and got lied to. When I tried to book our cruise, it was told an additional 200 per person fee for travel dates and an additional 199 per person fee for port fees when I was told It would be up to 99 dollars per person. When I called, the rep were very very rude, short and did not help at all except support the lies their sales people told. Don't use Travel Services, it's a SCAM SCAM SCAM! They lied, it's a scam, don't do it!

If a company gives you a year and a half to use something and you try to use it two years later, that's not a scam. That's just your lack of planning I'm afraid. There are legitimate companies out there running promotions for cruise lines. And there are bandits, crooks and thieves at every corner. The logic that seems to apply here is that if one person (who doesn't follow the rules of the promotion) doesn't get what they want then naturally this is a scam. And obviously if there is at least one person out there scamming people under a similar guise then all related offers therefore must be scams.
I tell my clients one simple thing. If we do not deliver your cruise, you are protected by your payment method.
If however, you fail to plan. Plan to fail.
All of the terms of the promotion are laid out clearly.
I have personally spoken to clients of mine who have gone on their cruises.

I especially enjoyed when someone mentioned Carnival confirming that deals like this exist and that somehow means that Carnival is a scam too.

I too have been scammed. I bought my tickets 8 tickets at $100 each 2 years ago and have made several attempts since then to go on my cruise. Each being unsuccessful. The last straw was today when I called and the woman on the other end told me my vouchers are expired. She refused to give me her name or let me speak to anyone else. She said I was threating her when I said I would file a claim with the better BBB and contact an attorney. She was a smarty pants and when I asked if she was the owner, CEO, etc she said yes... she does it all. When I asked to speak to someone else again she said there was no one...again. So, I asked who the other people in the background were and she said they are helping other caller...so that proves they do have other people there. Never got her name but I sure home Karma gets her. People who take advantage of other and scam people are lower than dirt in my book. If anyone knows of how I can get my money back please let me know. Thanks!

This is a COMPLETE SCAM! DO NOT WASTE $$!I never leave comments but I have on this matter! I've sent numerous emails & voicemails & can't get a return msg back! When I call the # I get left on hold so long it hangs up! I finally speak 2 two ppl today & seems like they hire just anybody! The 1st guy, David Marko, when I tried to explain about not receiving any response back basically called me a lair & became very RUDE which made me RUDE also I asked to speak to a manger & he stated they don't have MANAGERS & them hung up! I called back & explained the situation to another lady & she said the samething! I said I don't understand how a business could be ran without a manger or supervisor she became rude also & when I asked for her name she stated "I do t feel comfortable giving you my name" I asked to speak to someone else & she told me "no there is no one else" I hung up & tried a 3rd time & I get her back, she said "I'm reading your notes & seems everyone youve spoken to you argued & created a problem" I asked how's that when I never spoke to anyone. She was real nasty I told her she needs Jesus & I hung up! Does anyone know how I can go about failing a claim? We also purchased with 2 other couples & they weren't able to boom either!

After seeing this thread I was worried that I made a $400 non-refundable mistake when I paid $99 per person to the lady on the phone who promised me a cruise for "just the cost of taxes and port fees". I just got my cruise confirmation numbers and I can see it booked under my profile in the Carnival web site. (Whew!) In the end I will say that the sales pitch was terribly misleading, but at least I didn't get totally screwed. They lied to me, but they didn't steal my money. In total I ended up paying around $500 per person, which is exactly the same as I would have paid for this particular cruise if I had booked it through Carnival directly. The customer service lady who booked the cruise was helpful and professional. Costs aside I am pleased with their service as a travel agent. What I am not pleased with is the sales pitch that leads you to believe you are getting some kind of a great deal. Not so! Next time I'll just book it direct through Carnival and save myself the worries.

Wow, I just got a call from Paul Burns from Travel services. He was a typical salesman, well rehearsed and a bit pushy. He was polite though right up until he asked me if I had any other questions. Then I asked if if today was truly the only day for this promotion because I couldn't afford to pay anything today. His response was, "you don't have the $196 needed today. I told him that I don't and before I could ask another question he quickly said thank you and hung up on me !

It's definitely a scam, when you ask the representative to send you a confirmation e-mail, he just replied he wasn't in front of a computer !
What I'm more concerned about is that I called Carnival to have more information about this company and they are far from being aware of this company more aggravating they kind of encourage you to go further stating this sort of promotion is possible...It's a real shame, Carnival should be informed of this situation to be able to defend its customers.

DON'T GET FOOLED!
My husband was cold called from Travel Services U.S. and he thought maybe they had called us through one of our credit cards perk deals or something to that affect. After paying for a trip for 3 in Dec 2011 I looked online and could not find any info on this company and noticed NO virtually no contact info/trademarks or anything on all the paperwork (- soo many RED FLAGS!) and only online did I find this site of customers reporting them as fraudulent!) They also were being very difficult in booking dates for us too...so I definitely Isuspected we were being scammed by Travel Services U.S.! My hubbie did a chargeback with our credit card co. (we barely made it before the allowed time you can do a chargeback with our credit card (of 60- days)). NOTICE Travel Services U.S. won't make any travel confirmations for you past 60 days - repeating this OVER and OVER to you- coincidence? I THINK NOT! We reported Travel Services U.S. to our credit card company as a fraudulent company. We were reimbursed- yay!

I probably lost $900 to this scam. I stopped paying the monthly charges.
They called me and told me that Travel Services Unlimited went out of business and that another company now owned them. I think they said International Travel something or other.
I told them since they went out of business I wasn''t paying anymore.
They still try to send bills to me, but they never send final notices of payment.
Very strange. Until they can prove to me that they are legit and not lying about their services and their services can live up to what they promise, COUNT ME OUT!

I was scammed too. My story is the same as everyone elses. Unable to cancel. Unable to refund. My dates were even confirmed and was called back to ask me to confirm agan. Now those dates cost more. I quit right there. Filled a complaint with the BBB, they received zero response. Chase couldn't do anything because I'd signed the agreement, but after some hoopla gave me back $100 even though they couldn't recover the funds legally. Go Chase, down with Travel Services US.

I got a call yesterday (5/9/2012) from a travel agent claiming he works for www.mytravelservicesonline.com and said I was picked as a winner of a promotional "giveaway" and that all I had to pay for a 4day/3night Bahamas cruise from Miami, Fl with Carnival/Norwegian, etc is $95/pp and port fees. He said the offer is good only today and that a credit card given over the phone will reserve for you a cabin (or cabins for as many as additional 15 guests at the same offer ) so long as you book the travel within 18 months... what a scam!

Rene Ricafranca,
Could you tell us what website you gave your credit card company to document that travel
Services was committing fraudulent activity and get your payment to travel
Services refunded? Did the credit card company give u a hard time or question you about why you were disputing the charge so long after the charge was processed on your card? Did they tell you of there was a time limit to dispute a charge? Would you mind telling me who your credit card company is that refunded it? I am just wondering if I have the same company or if I try to dispute it if I can tell my company that your company successfully disputed it. You can email me at cjw640@aol.com, I would really appreciate it! Thank you! - Christina

I answered the ad, It sounded to good to be true but I've gotten deals on Book it.com that were steals and several other sites also. I sent my fee for double occupancy because I'm a Widower and have no one to travel with me. I'm retired and living off my savings, investments and a tiny bit of Social Security, so things or rip-offs like this hurt.

We were told by the salesman that because we were sailing fr Long Beach there was an extra charge, the total being 199$ per person. We asked several times if there were any other fees or surcharges and were told no. On the first of 3 rediculous forms we found a clause that said port fees and surcharges were not included. We called to dispute this and the teller said the same thing as the salesman. Now that we want to book the trip we are told we need to pay an additional 240$ per person. If the extra charges are more than the trip, should that not be disclosed up front? "Extra fees" does not nearly convey the possibilty that the bill will become more than double what was advertised. This is clearly predatory and fraudulantly deceiving-especially if there has been a clearly recorded history of complaints with many attorneys' generals and the practice continues. I for one will do EVERYTHING I can (legally) to make sure I get my money back and these tactics stop.

We were solicited by phone by Angel Ramirez of Travel Services. He said we had been selected for a free cruise with no blackout dates, and we just have to pay taxes and port fees of $94/person. We were told that this offer had "no strings attached, " and was valid for multiple people. We were asked to select a date for the cruise that was at least 60 days in the future and will get our confirmation two weeks before the date requested. This is a clever scam technique since sixty (60) days is also the deadline for contesting a credit card charge as fraudulent.

Believing this was a completely credible offer, we chose March 16-19, 2012. A payment of $188 was paid on Oct. 14, 2011 for my wife and I. Another payment of $188 was made on Oct 28, 2011 for our two sons.

A couple months later, Travel Services notified us that our selected dates of travel were considered to be in "peak season." and that the promotion we had booked was not applicable for those dates. This was not previously mentioned to us, and we were under the impression that all dates were eligible for selection. We were then asked to pay an extra $271.95 per person in order to secure our chosen time of travel. We told them we want to cancel. but
were informed our payments are non-refundable.

We researched Travel Services reputation online and found out so much information that they have a history of scamming people in this same manner. The method being used to scam us is the same or similar to the scams
reported online by a lot of people.

On December 25, 2011, we filled up an online complaint form of our credit card provider and provided them with
two websites documenting the numerous complaints. On December 27, 2011, we were CREDITED on our credit
card the amounts we paid the scammer, Travel Services.

I purchased a cruise in Feb. 2010. I paid over $2000 for 12 people to travel and today I had to pay another $3, 689 to finalize my cruise. I called the cruise line to check prices on my dates of travel and the price was cheaper if I booked now with them. Travel SERVICES US is a scam and I should of listen to my husband 3 months ago!
Please be ware and don't fall for it! I am $3000 in the hole because I have to pay everyone back that were traveling with me. It also comes with shame!

I was also scammed by these people today. When you pay, they just send you a generic letter on a generic web site. Their scam is about TIME. You think you have a cruise, and by the time you figure out they are scamming you they are long gone. They make you request a cruise 60 days in advance. They send you back fake letters or don't get back to you or give you the impression you're booked for a cruise when you actually aren't.
Then tell you it's full or charge you more fees. If they do ever give you a cruise, it's one they bought on a discount that you could have done yourself.

They also hide the name of the company until you bought from them when it's too late to look it up. They told us "Travel Services" and left off the US so you can't find them on search.

This is NOT from a FORMER employee. I have done extensive research in this matter and what I have found is that the person claiming to be a FORMER employee and provided all of the details of Mr. Congelton & company. Travel Services was shut down by the Florida AG and they filed for bankruptcy shortly after : http://bankrupt.com/misc/flmb09-20902.pdf

My best guess is that there is someone who was close to that situation that decided to pick up where Mr. Congelton & company left off and is now scamming customers by phone. Mr Congelton's original scam was to do this in person by renting rooms in large cities and advertising these seminars that showed you how to never have to pay for vacation locations again. The reason I feel this phone cruise scam is not being perpetrated by the same people is that this is the first time it is being done by phone. Also, why would a company continue doing business in the same name when they are on the radar of the AG of Florida?

It is also my best guess that the letter from a "FORMER employee" was actually posted by the new copy cat scammers to help conceal the identity of whoever is really behind it. It led me on a goose chase and I wasted nearly two days researching all of this.

The only reason I got involved in this is because I can't stand it when someone calls my cell phone trying to sell something. Was never going to buy anything but wanted to personally let the caller know they had broken the law by robo calling my cell phone. When I called the number back, I got nothing but a busy signal. I did call back the number that an operator gave me and the people were extremely rude and eventually hung up on me after requesting a copy of their do not call policy (which they need to provide by law if asked).

The best thing to do is to never give out personal information and remember the saying that my father always recites: "If it sounds too good to be true, it is."
