false offer-NOT a free trial
Complaint Rating: 97 % with 30 votes
Company information:
159 Douglas Ave.
Oakville, Ontario
Canada

Same issues as others.
Got charged a large amount on my credit card, when I am sure that the online info. stated that the trial bottles were free, and that only if you continued with your account would you start to be charged.
Contacted them yesterday, and they say they have processed the cancellation, but are telling me that I am still responsible for the payment of the "trial" bottles.
I am demanding proof that that is actually the case, but will have to see if I get a response.
I haven't tried the product/s( because my pharmacist advised me that they might interfere with medications that I have to take), but it sure sounds like they are a scam.
All I can say is ..BEWARE!!!

I fully agree with your comment. And in fact, I think they change the terms and conditions that are visualised on their web site. And they never actually send these terms and conditions with their shippings. Actually I wander if one is responsible for paying what ever if they never received any written confirmation of the order and even less were sent the general conditions. Also, how an ammount can be charged on a visa card when no invoice for this ammount was sent beforehand. It is complete fraud and just stilling info about visa card numbers.

I have been stung in exactly the same way by this supposedly free offer. I can't afford to be paying out his large amount of money for something I didn't order. This is t I don't know what to do about it.

Yes I have also been had by this company. I cannot find anything with terms and conditions on it and the paper work that came with the "free samples" doesn't tell you anything. I tried to ring the phone number to no avail. Can anyone tell me what to do? I have cancelled my card in the hope they wont be able to take any more money.

I answered the add from a magazine so initial contact was by phone and there was no mention of the large amounts of money they would STEAL from my account. I returned all the pills that were sent to me asking for my money back but I have not heard a thing from them. Is there a lawer out there that would help all of us get our money back?

i was scammed too and i dont know what to do and because of the time difference in australia and uk it's just hard to get hold of them on the phone
25 days ago by   Julie and Steve 0 Votes
VIRGH If you are in Australia, and your cc has been hit, contact your bank and put in a fraud complaint. That will start the ball rolling and they will send you a form asking you to state the details of what has been charged to your account and if you have ordered the product. Well worthwhile doing even if it for a small amount. Here is an email addy to contact me for further discussion if you want.

These folks are a SCAM!!! They try to pass off that they are reputable but they are a joke and losers to the folks that are out there trying to really help folks. If you want to get a hold of the Trading Life losers call this number 1-888-325-8623 ( toll free ) . Call them. In Canada the time difference is 7 hours if you are in the west. The times that you can get these pathectic forms of life... 8am-8pm.

Contact your cc company, or your bank, however you paid for a supposedly "free trial" of pills. Let them know about this. If you are past the time of being able to get your money back it sucks. But if not, nail these losers right in the butt!!! Get your money back and let everyone know..TRADING PLANET, LTD ...are SCAMMERS!!! LOSERS!!! The lowest form of life!!! Good luck !!!

Bank of Montreal MasterCard was absolutely USELESS in handling my complaint over Trading Planet Limited. It was not until I spoke with MasterCard International, and got some solid advice from one of their customer service managers did things start to turn my way.

First of all, most major credit card companies have a consumer advocate appeal process. I'm not talking about the issuing bank of your credit card, I'm talking the "mother ship." For MasterCard, the email address is consumer_advocate@mastercard.com. I'm sure Visa or American Express would have something similar.

Next, if you live in North America, contact your local Better Business Bureau. It may seem pointless to launch a complaint through a North American consumer advocacy office, but I got results. Not only did the BBB get an email address for Trading Planet, but they launched a complaint on my behalf citing much of my documentation.

Trading Planet does NOT want the consumer contacting them. They deliberately do not send you an email confirmation of your trial order because they do not want you, the unsuspecting consumer, to know what is about to happen to your credit card in the next 30 days or less.

Trading Planet does not indicate any other means of contacting them on their packing slip, other than the number indicated on their website. Through MasterCard I was able to get both an 1-800 North American toll-free number, and a 1-800 fax number. Despite calling the company numerous times, they only picked up my call when MasterCard direct transferred me to their 1-800 number. Coincidence? I think not.

These people will only get put out of business by consumers taking action against them. Save every scrap of documentation you can, and take some time to investigate what sort of consumer protection agencies or bureaus can help you.

My claim for 3 charges of $119.02 still remains unresolved, but I believe getting the BBB involved was an excellent decision. Continue to press your case and don't give up until these b*stards give you your refund.

Absolutely agree with all comments - I've been chasing refunds since May 2009 with no assistance at all from either Viv3labs (who took my original order) or Trading Planet Ltd (who have started to deal with my refund demand). They recently asked me for account statements to prove that payments had been taken by them and that no refund had already been made. Their order records are clearly non existent if they require their customers to do all the work for them. I've still had no response as at November 4 2009, and will now take legal action against them.
Never use these two companies again.

This company is attrocious! My Sister has recently had dealings with Trading Planets and yesterday she noticed the large sum that has been taken from her bank account of around £150.00. She spoke to her bank customer services about this (Lloyds) who passed her to Card Disputes/Fraud Department - can you believe it, the automated line for Lloyds TSB says 'if you are calling in connection with Acai Berry please press 1' - they say they are getting 400-500 calls a day about this company scamming people and there wasnt a lot of help they could offer her if she didnt have a cancellation number! We were given a number to call by Lloyds and they let us use their phone to call them (my sister having drained £10 credit on her mobile hanging on for them only to be cut off!!!) - they gave her two different numbers that may have been cancellation numbers, they were completely vague and she said the girl she was speaking to was foreign and so hard to understand - she had no faith in the call being successful at all but wants to know that they wont be taking more money from her. Tonight we have found this website (http://tlcinvestigations.co.uk/index.html ) set up by someone who has also be scammed and revealing other peoples experiences with this dodgy company. We now fully intend to pursue this matter for a complete refund and cancellation.

I recommend everyone pursues for a full refund using the website i have posted on my previous comment for guidance and lets take these scumbags right through watchdog!! everyone keep posting your experiences/results and lets kick up the biggest fuss - companies like this and the greedy b***ards that are responsible need pulling into the gutter!

Same issues as most of you.
I sent for a "Free (?) Trial" sample of Life Cleanse and paid with my CC and was charged £4.25 P&P.
As I have diabetes and taking various medication I contacted my Chemist who advised me not to take them.
As I didn't place an order I thought that was the end of the matter, but on downloading a statement on 16th Oct Health Focus had taken, without authority, £75.17 was taken from my CC account.
I contacted my CC company to dispute this transaction.
On 6th Nov I received "Colon Cleanse" and an invoice for £82.95 which was taken from my account again without my knowledge.
When I rang them, on 0808-238-9830, I asked more than once for the website address but was completely ignored also the woman hung up on me.
That say's a lot about the company. Maybe every body should keep ringing the FREEPHONE number and put the THIEVING B*****D's out of buisness

e-mails from them. E-mail me if you want copies.
