TracFone Wireless cell phone

Out of the clear blue sky, my tracfone has been updated. It installed a new keyboard which is fine. But now I can't open pictures that have been texted me. It says to download. When I do that, it says downloading, but nothing happens. Before I could easily receive pictures. I cannot open my account to see how many minutes I have left. This phone does not consistently ring no matter how loud the settings are.

TracFone Wireless tracfone wireless

I hav been dealing with straighttalk/tracfone 4 over 3 years now . I hav purchased 3 phones . I hav had 26 replacement phones . 25 of 1 model & 1 of a diff model . I've had my hand burned 3 times and upon returning 2 my bedroom I found my bed smoldering and a 3' diameter scorched area on my bed . I saved my room from going up in flames . 4 the last year I've been trying 2 get both my defective phones replaced . The company has drug their heels and never replaced either . Now both r out of warranty and their response is "2 bad buy a new phone " . I believe they r crooks . I also hav a second # with a diff company that I've called them on because I can't make many calls or use internet on my tracfone . I can't loose my # so I kept paying the monthly service even tho I'm severely limited on use . Is there any help u can offer ?

TracFone Wireless activate and transfer number

Tracfone more like Trickfone. Absolutely the worse display of customer service I have ever encountered. I purchased a smart phone for my dad for Christmas and tried to activate it 12/30/16. I activated many phones in the past through the website with minimal to no issues. But now overtime you try to do something you get a error message to call customer service. I'm thinking no problem whets few extra minutes to make sure that this is done right...boy was I wrong. After calling in someone was on the line in about 2 minutes. She saw where the activation was in progress from the website and needed to transfer me over to the dept that handles the activation. Sorry but isn't that number that is supplied. After waiting over a hour I hung up and called back. Only to on hold for a additional 35 minis. That is completely unacceptable on every level. So I waited a few days just trying to give the process time and nothing. I decided to call back today(1/2/17) and see if I could get a answer thinking that maybe they were short staffed because of the holidays. But no today is worse and they tell me that the process is complete. How is this possible and I cant make a call or receive a call. This was after being on hold for a hour. So I request that they transfer service back to my previous. I get told that they cant do that because I need a new SIM card and they can send me one in 3 to 10 business days. There is nothing wrong with the card it currently has, its only been out of service for like 2 days. I decided to just go buy another phone similar to previous one. I hop on the website thinking that things are better on there and its the same BS! Furious is an understatement. I call only and tell the rep that everything and all she can say is I'm sorry but that dept has a high call volume and that's why it takes so long. I informed her that I get where she is coming from but this ridiculous and anything over 30 minutes is unacceptable. I guarantee today is the last day that Trickfone will get any of my money. Oh yeah and thanks for ruining what could have been a great Christmas gift.

TracFone Wireless activating new phone

I just bought an Alcatel One Touch Tracfone and was trying to activate it online and when I entered the serial number on the red activation card it tells me it was already associated with another account. Then I called their customer service line to activate it and the automated service told me the same thing. Then I talked to a customer service representative who again told me the same thing about the serial number on the red activation card. I told him that it was a brand new phone and has never been activated so he tells me to give him the serial number from the back of the phone which come to find out is different from the one on the activation card that came with the phone. I thought we had the problem solved and that I could now activate my phone but oh no. He then tells me that the sim card with the phone is expired and I'll have to wait 1 to 9 business days to get a new sim card before I can activate my phone. I tried calling back to talk to another twice but lost connection with the first one and the second onde I talked to was some idiotic woman who obviously doesn't understand a word of English and didn't have any business being a csr. She kept telling me to take the phone back to the store and ask them why the activation card wasn't right. I kept trying to explain to her that they don't package the phones and would have no idea, but she couldn't seem to comprehend that. The phone itself only cost $15 because it just a cheap little flip phone which is all I wanted, but I also bought a 60 minute airtime card which is non-refundable. I'm really upset over this and don't really want to do business with Tracfone anymore but since I bought this airtime card I guess I'm stuck getting another Tracfone but I will be taking this piece of crap phone back to the store today.

TracFone Wireless customer service and overall business

I ordered a phone and plan on Tracfone's online store on Dec 2nd, I notice that the plan was not what I was looking for so I cancelled the order the next day online. I was sent an email on Dec 2nd confirming my order and on Dec 2 & Dec 5th confirming my cancellation. I waited about nine days and emailed a customer service rep inquiring about the refund. I was told it will be returned in about 72 hours. Two more days went by, I called customer service and was told it would be another week. After about 7 business days, I still don't have it. On Dec 23rd I call again, this time, they can't find my info when I give them my Order ID #. I the give them my Request #, Return #, and the Phone's SKU #. Finally they find my order and tell me it will be refunded in 30 - 45 days. I ask to speak to a manager, the rep on the phone tells me that she is a manager, I ask to speak to another manager and she says " I'm not allowed to transfer calls to managers". I ask, Why can't you transfer calls when you ARE a manager. (I just wanted to get an explanation about the hold up, because when they took the money from ME, it only took seconds). She mumbles something and tells me to hold while she "looks" for a manager. I waited approximately 5 minutes. She gets back on the line and says there no manager available. I hang up and call back. When the rep asks me what is my call about, I tell him that I just need to speak to a manager. He tells me to hold, this time I hold about 7 minutes. He gets back on the line and says that he will transfer me to a manager. I wait a couple of minutes and the next person that picks up is another customer service rep. He asks "How may I help you. I tell him, once again, I need to speak with a manager. He tells me to hold, I wait 5 minutes and he gets back on the line and tells me no one is available, and also states, my refund should arrive in 30 days, without me ever explaining my issue.
As you could see, this conversation with these reps just went on in circles ( I trully felt like an Order Number), No one I talked to couldn't or wouldn't explain why it's taking so long to get my refund and one rep would pass the buck on to the next without communicating the issue I was having. This has got to be the worst display of customer service ever. But what's sad is the fact that after I recived my refund, I "would have" ordered another phone and plan. But because the of their lack of quality in customer service and in business altogether, I decided to take my business elswhere. I'LL NEVER SHOP HERE AGAIN AND I WILL WARN MY FAMILY AND FRIENDS TO AVOID "TRACphony" AT ALL COSTS.
Sincerely,
Order # 145113

TracFone Wireless lost minutes transferring from 2g to new 3g

I bought a 1 year plan to add to existing phone. I tried to add the new plan by the internet web of TracFone to existing phone but was unable. The web site did not allow me to add because the phone was a 2G and I would be receiving a new compatible phone in the mail. I waited days and did not receive the phone. Today was the last straw...the man on the phone told me that I would not receive the phone for last 60 BUSINESS DAYS and if I did not get a new phone by December 31st and add additional airtime that I would lose existing 2391.10 minutes. He told me that I would get a discount at Walmart. Went to Walmart and they had no idea what that man was talking about. After several phone calls and supervisors I was told that I would lose the 2391.10 minutes that was on the 2G phone. This is a rip off.

TracFone Wireless tracfone is the most terrible company

I have bought a TracFone and purchased a service plan. For some reason they did not activate my phone and when I contacted customer service they made it even worse. Their rep claimed they did activate my phone! I asked him to check again and he said he already checked and there was nothing wrong. I don't know, maybe I did something wrong, but in that case it would be nice if they had explained that to me. They were not interested in helping me. They are the worst ever!

TracFone Wireless ripped off my minutes

I transferred my tracphone (having trouble, wasn't keeping a charge) data..phone # with 2178 minutes to my granddaughters Android, that had 2067 minutes, both were on my acct. I was never told I'd lose my grand daughter's minutes, until today . This transaction has been going on since 12/1 and 5 reps. Told I'd get them within 24-72 hours, that the 2067 minutes would have to be applied to my account manually..which I found strange. Finally, after the 72 hour wait, I was apparently lied to, and I'm not getting them.i was told by 2 techs I would get the minutes restored. This is totally wrong and I'm filing a complaint with FCC and with the Florida State Attorney Generals office Monday.

Apparently the multi million dollar lawsuit they had to pay out in Jan. 2015 didn't teach them a lesson...but I'm NOT going to let them rip me off! 😡😡

TracFone Wireless tracfone did not transfer all my accumulated minutes to new flip phone.

I had accumulated 5, 859.10 minutes on my old flip phone. Tracfone notified me that service was being upgraded in my area, and I needed to purchase a new phone by 31 Dec 2016. I bought a new LG 442B flip phone at Walmart and called tracfone to activate the new phone. However, they transferred only 598.70 minutes. I called back this morning, and they informed me that the minutes had been "consumed." They agreed to add only 400 minutes to the total. Therefore I lost a total of 4, 860.4 minutes.

TracFone Wireless stolen minutes

I purchased this phone in July of 2016. I have the 3X Talk, Text, Data and Carryover unused minutes plan. I've had TracFone service for some time now and all of a sudden I could not use my phone service. I had around 120 or so minutes at the time when I renewed a purchase (due to my contract I had to every 90 days) on October 20th. I purchased the 60 minute card (which translates to 180 minutes of actual time added). I verified, and re-verified that this was the case that 180 minutes had been added to the phone. NOW, come December 1st, I try to use the phone and it hangs up immediately as soon as I try to make a call. I call the customer service agent and he says that there is nothing wrong with the phone--I have run out of minutes! I am NOT a big talker. I get on and off the phone in usually less than 5 minutes. Only rarely do I call my family back West on that phone and spend like 30 minutes on the phone with them. It is inconceivable that I have spent 5 hours on that phone and burned up all of those minutes in a little over a month! Remembering that at the end of the first three months, I had two hours worth of time still on it! I requested a refund on the phone, thinking that it did not work.

During the first quarter of 2017, we also lost minutes on 3 phones my family owns. We have used tracfone for 4 years and this is the first time this has happened. Each phone lost about 1, 000 minutes (we bought the one year card with 1200 or 1300 minutes for $100 each). That is close to $300 lost! Tracfone's customer service people were very polite but they do not seem to be authorized to do anything to resolve the issue. Instead they have to transfer me to their Fraud Department. I have talked to different people in the Fraud Department and they do not seem to care about their customers; one of them is actually very rude. I am now looking at getting regular phones for the entire family. Too bad coz this works perfectly for us. Besides my family, I have also introduced Tracfone to my parents, siblings, and in-laws; they all switched to Tracfone when I told them how much I save every year. But now, I will have to warn them about the stolen minutes and recommend they another carrier.

TracFone Wireless company stole phone minutes

I purchased a phone and service with TracFone. I have the 3X Talk, Text, Data and Carryover unused minutes plan. I've had TracFone service for some time now and all of a sudden I come not use my phone service. TracFone stated they had deactivated my phone and changed my phone number without my knowledge. I added more minutes and I found out my phone number had changed and all my minutes (over 1000) were gone. Tracfone stated they had deactivated the phone and changed my phone number, but I had been using the phone in July 2016. I had also bought and paid for a new phone card to add in July 2016 as well. Tracfone changed my phone number and stole over 1000 minutes from me after I had already paid the company for this service. This is really unethical and unfair business practices by this company.

TracFone Wireless stolen minutes

I had a 2g phone I had been using for the last 6 years, and every time I tried to dial out it would say this phone will no longer be able to make calls after December 31st. It would then automatically call the tracfone service reps in India and charge minutes hours actually. They kept me on the phone for hours and burned all my minutes up and then lied to me that they were going to replace them and left me with 0 zip nada none. They are thieves and liars, and speak very poor English.

TracFone Wireless did not transfer all my data

TracFone ported my number from straight talk. I had a ZTE tracfone . I already had 44 GB on my TracFone. The ST number was on unlocked phone. I decided to go to one phone and it was going to be tracfone because it was the best phone. I added data from my work allowance. The night of the port I had 44gb after the port only 233 mb . Not even 1GB. Talked to them 3 times . At first they said I did not have 1 GB. Then they said it showed 34Gb . Then they said 13 but just gave me 10. A multimedia million dollar company steals 20 GB data. I even have a pic of tracfone app showing my data, text and minutes before the port. To show I had that many they do not care. Some I am stuck with this sorry company for some months

TracFone Wireless tracfone

I have a TracFone smartphone. I have had it for years without activating. I need just a one time use of a phone number so I bought a card to put time on it. Well come to find out TracFone needs everything including the Sims card number. Problem is getting the Sims cards out involves one of two things. One is to break the phone just to get the Sims card out for the number or two break the Sims card just to get it out which either option is out of the question. I have taken the phone to Walmart, Meijer, boost mobile, metro PCs, sprint, Verizon and best buy. No one can get the Sims card out in one piece. And customer service won't add the remaining til I get the Sims card number. How can I? Waste of time and money on a piece of worthless technology. I won't ever get a tracfone again. Worst company ever

TracFone Wireless download for a product failed, got charged for product twice

I attempted to purchase an app with tracfone airtime. The first download failed, but I was charged for the product, which I did not receive. I attempted a second download, thinking that it would just complete the download without charging me a second time, but I was wrong. I got my product, but I was charged double, when the fault was with the service. I simply want my airtime refunded, which comes to a total of 44.9 minutes.

TracFone Wireless prepaid minutes

I have a Android smartphone for a year now. As to the crappy out of the country customer service, the service allover is very poor.
I have noticed over the last few cards purchased online are being used up a lot quicker.
I buy online for the triple minutes. But, every time I have to beat them down for the minutes. Some say I don't get triple when some do. You never get same answer. Even the card says things that the plans don't say.
To me that's misleading customer.
This was a gift, I would have never signed on to such a ripoff company.

My thing is, why the heck are they deleting minutes I have? I bought 90 mts and they say used up in 10 days. I don't even talk on phone. I use text or email. They want me to keep buying more cards. I'm done. I'm stuck with a phone without a sim card, and only tracphone can add on. Waste of 100.00.

I want my minutes I purchased. I added its time and they took 58 mts from me. They say I cant track mts used on each call but can check "periodically"...sure.

TracFone Wireless lost minutes

September 15, 2016
Bought a new tracfone- old one did not always connect clearly. Had over 400 minutes and 46 svc days left. Could not transfer online...talked over 1 hour online..result...said they could not transfer minutes since I was downgrading phones. I was left with 00 minutes and 45 svc days on new phone. Got online and 'chatted' with customer svc (easier to understand language) Told them I needed at least 60 minutes because I was left with none and had no way to contact anyone in case of emergency. Did give me 60 minutes. At no time did anyone tell me to begin with I could not transfer--only after new phone had been activated..then all minutes were gone. If I had known this I would have suffered thru the old phone and used all minutes...I'm senior citizen on fixed income..No one gives me a phone...I have to buy everything myself..this is lost money...it is wrong.

TracFone Wireless lost minutes

My tracphone lost minutes 4 times over a month and then the phone stopped working. Tracphone sent me a new phone, but cancelled my phone number, minutes, and days of service. I'm out 753 minutes, 600 days of service and have no useful phone. Tracphone told me to buy a new airtime card and get a new phone number. I'm going with someone else. NO MORE TRACPHONE!

TracFone Wireless customer service

I merely attempted to transfer my current phone number from an old cellular device to a new cellular device with a 1200 minute triple service plan. According the Tracfone's website, this is supposed to be done "easier than I think". I suppose my thought process was too simple! After all, I've been a Tracfone customer for nearly two years and had upgraded my cellular device before, while keeping my same telephone number. This attempt to transfer my current phone number to my new device was ABSOLUTELY HARROWING!

In the beginning...I received and activated my cellular device, with a 1200 minute triple service plan, according to the instructions that came along with it. Instructions stated to call customer service to get assistance with a transfer if you want to keep your same telephone number. I did that the very next morning and the representative said I needed a SIM card and one would be mailed to me within 24 to 48 hours. TEN days later, I received the SIM's card and as instructed call customer service back to get assistance. After deactivating my old cellular device and activating my new cellular device; we learned that the SIM card I received was TOO LARGE! Tracfone DID NOT send the correct size for my cellular device. The representative asked me to "take a pair of scissors and cut the card down so it would fit and to be sure not to cut any of the gold bars". REALLY! Well, I did and it STILL DID NOT WORK! No SIM card detected...Emergency calls only... The representative said she would send another SIM card immediately and to call back once I received it. I requested for her to transfer the service back to the old cellular device as the new cellular device would not work without a SIM card and I did not want to be without cellular service for another TEN days. Flustered and frustrated; I told her that the last SIM's card took TEN days to receive. She assured me that it would only take 24 to 48 hours to receive it. Well, USPS was working in her favor; as, I did indeed receive the new SIM card in exactly 48 hours. I got home as saw that the new SIM's card had arrived and I called Tracfone Customer Service Immediately. The representative, instructed me to insert the SIM card into the new cellular device and she would place me on hold 2-3 minutes for the transfer to be process...Tracfone representatives ALWAYS say "may I place you on hold 2-3 mintues to process". It's more like 30 minutes in 2-3 minute intervals. After completing the transfer, we tested the new cellular device to ensure it was working properly...it was NOT. She placed me on hold once again for an additional 2-3 minutes totaling 65 minutes until the problem was corrected. HERE'S IS WHERE IT GETS EVEN WORSE! I could not place any calls. The representative told me "there was not any call minutes available". I said "What?" That can not be; we've just activated this phone with 1200 minutes. What happened to the minutes? She said she would have to transfer me to another department. TRANSFEERED to another department... I explained the representative what all had just taken place. Of course, I had to hold for 2-3 minutes for him to review the account. After all that, and the account being confirmed, the notes on the account being read, and confirming the transfer of the current phone number from the old cellular device to the new cellular device; he said that I had no call minutes available on the new cellular device because the old cellular device did not have any call minutes. My response: that's why I transferred the current phone number to the new celluar device and service plan of 1200 minutes. AGAIN HOLD FOR 2-3 minutes. 20 minutes later; his response as there was NOTHING he could do due to the transferring of the old device to the new device before/after the new cellular device was activated/deactivated. WHAT!?!?!?!?!? I requested to speak with his supervisor...15 MINUTES later...supervisor not available...I said "I'LL HOLD"...all I've been doing anyway...same guy says "Mam, there's is nothing we can do; due to the new device being deactivated prior to the transfer of...ME: hold on / wait a minute/ you are the same guy I've been talking to...originally you told me you did not have authorization to do anything and now you're the supervisor ...you're not being honest with me...let me talk with your Manager or someone who has authorization to fix this problem! He tells me to hang up and call 1-800...I said NO! I will not hang up and call back...let me talk to the C.F.O., the V.P. the President...the Executive Board of Directors...someone who has the authority to fix this problem tonight! If I get disconnected, I'm going to be extremely upset! 15 minutes of that, he wants to transfer to the Head Quarters...I told him that was fine...don't let me get disconnected! Make sure someone is on the phone with me before you release the call. I have to go through the ENTIRE SPILL AGAIN. This lady is telling me the same thing...NOTHING she can do...I again respond...call the C.F.O., the V.P, the President or the Executive Board of Directors. She advised I call back Monday morning...I said ABSOLUTELY NOT! She places me on hold to find someone who has the authority to fix this problem. She comes back and offers me 370 talk minutes...REALLY!?!?! I paid for 1200; that's what I'm expecting to receive. She places me on hold yet again to verify the usage of the minutes from the time the phone was first activated...remember... the phone would not work...Then she says there is nothing more that can be done. I said you have the capability to track every minute, text, and data used...use your system to see what Tracfone employee took the minutes and give them back to me and then I want to press charges because some Tracfone employee has stolen my minutes. I paid for 1200 minutes and that is what I expect to receive. Then I remembered that I took a call for 30-45 when I first received the new device with the old number. I humbled myself and said to her that I'd remembered doing that. She placed me hold again 2-3 minutes. She then said she could place 1000 talk minutes back on my cellular device. I then thanked her merely for being RESONABLE. After 2 hours and 38 minutes of going back and forth with Tracfone from my landline...they were only willing to place 1000 talk minutes on my cellular device. I reminded her that I had the Triple Service plan. The number of minutes, text, and data triples in number. She agreed to place 1000 data minutes as well...3600 text minutes was already showing on the account...transferred form the old cellular device. I told her I would agree to that because it was RESONABLE. It wasn't exactly correct...but it was RESONABLE...I wasn't asking for any additional minutes...of which I believed was deserving at that point...however, the 1000 minutes was RESONABLE. 2 hours and 38 minutes is NOT RESONABLE in solving a customer service issue... of something that is advertised at being "EASIER THAN I THINK".
