Today's Matchmaker of Sacramento LLC review: Fraud and Deception 14

This company is terrible. I pre-dated my credit card. I called them a week before the card would be accessed and told them to cancel my contract. They told me that the contract can not be canceled. So, I called my credit card company and canceled my card. The credit company gave me another card. Now they are harrassing me for payment. They say they are sending this to collections. I called the number they gave me 918.523.0574 Ext. 9017 and I get no answer. The attorney general of Oklahoma needs to shut them down. I will sue them in small claims court. See if I get a response then.

You can sue in Sacramento Superior Court small claims division for breach of contract. That is what I plan to do if they do not refund my money.

Dealing with an affiliated company in Meridian Idaho. Tried to cancel within one business day and they said they are entitled to keep half of the total $4000 I paid. I have yet to get a refund of any type. They still tried to set me up after I cancelled. I am finding many other businesses tied to Vice President Mike Carroll. There was also a news piece done by NBC Bay Area titled "Consumers Feel Duped by Local Matchmaker", in which there were more complaints, along with an interview with Mr. Carroll. He continues to set up shops all over, and from what research I've been doing, there are many more complaints out there. Difficult to tie them all together with all the different business names used. Pretty simple I think, if he was legit, why are all the different names necessary? This company needs to be shut down and stopped.they are scamming people. I am going to do my best on my end to blast this information. You would think that with the amounts of money that is being scammed should have some sort of legal ramifications for these companies, and partners in their LLC.?

Correction Salt Lake City Matchmakers, LLC is not listed in the phone book as having a good address at that address and on the Credit card slip it has a Oklahoma phone number as its phone number. Is that unbelievable? It is true. They use VIOP phone lines, voice over internet protocol, to further confuse and frustrate those wishing to cancel their membership. Calls from Salt Lake City Matchmaker LLC originate from Sacramento, Ca supposedly but they come in on a Salt Lake City, Utah area code 801. As I said they can be anywhere in the U.S.. You might want to call M___ C______ not that he will care, he claims to be the VP of Operations, it does mot say, Vice President, I would not trust him, but if you want to let him know what you think about what a Fraud this Blind dating Company is, give him a call, his number is [protected] ext 201 of course you will most likely be put on hold while he is located, he could be somewhere else in the U.S. Not that it will do you any good, but who knows maybe M___ really wants to hear from you just about how unhappy you really are about being ripped off by all of the various names that this Company supposedly goes by, but not Texas Matchmaker. Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott took care of that problem and the judge kicked them out of Texas, and I believe they are related as the unlawful mode of operation (MO) appears to be very similar or the same. They are also out of business in Atlanta, Ga The Lady that got her refund and the News coverage helped put and end to that fly by night operation. Maybe M___ C______ VP can enlighten you as to how they are some how similar, the same or different but the rip off is the same.
Be prepared for an ear full of BuLLoney, which ever way he tries to justify this as an honest above board operation and I would be careful if I were you believing anything he has to say about it, unless you are a Bull only fan or a fan of BULLoney./s/ You might get the real persecive on Texas Bullshist moved to somewhere else, where there is real Bologna/Bullogna. /s/ B.S. for short. Any way you cut it, but it, it is Bull----, just the same by a different name. It is not in every state, certainly not Texas. Maybe we can help this Bull what ever name it goes by from expanding further, by getting a refund before it goes out of business like it did in Texas, when that Intelligent, honest Judge called it for what it is, and essentially kicked Texas Matchmaker out of Texas and told them not to come back you are not doing business in Texas. State Attorney generals in the other states that they operate in should follow Texas' lead and ban them and the U.S. Attorney General Should also follow the Texas case and ban these operations on a National scale, before they move some where else to open shop, with the same Bull___ by what ever name they chose to call it, and demand a refund for any person that has been financially damaged, including supplemental and enhanced damages for willful and flagrant violations of the Law and using deceptive dishonest business practices to illegally take advantage of and exploit Consumers and cause them financial damages and harm, , with little or nothing to show for it, other than being Ripped Off..and that is just wrong and the reason there are State and Federal Laws to protect Consumers from this very same kind of exploitation, dishonest and deceptive business practices, which is unfair and needs to be done away with.. Case in point two incompatible dates, two phone calls no dates, cost $1800.00 no matter how you look at it, that is a RIP OFF! That is approximately $900.00 per hour for a date. As far as I am concerned, that is overly excessively priced and a Total Unadulterated RIP OFF, no mater how anyone can try to justify it, except M___ C_____ Salt Lake Matchmakers. LLC or Salt Lake City Matchmakers, or what ever name it goes by, , VP of Operations, he seems to believe some how this is justified. I think it begs the question, is unfair, wrong, illegal, and needs to cease and desist right now, permanently and be treated as Intentional Criminal Exploitation, with full penalty under the Law if these dishonest persons responsible are convicted of violating the law for unjustified personal gain. I think we should call for as Class Action to be filed on this as I believe there is no jusrification.for it and it is clearly illegal. If you have been Ripped Off you should pursue a claim for a refund so we can have enough support for a Class Action to be filed in this matter and for this Abuse to be stopped now. Don't put it off, your support is needed by filing a claim for a refund, that is the only way we will succeed in stopping this illegal and Abusive Exploitation and justified.refund for services not given as indicated in advertising and otherwise, by whatever means you have been treated unfairly with deception and dishonesty, by what ever name this Company goes by and/ or where ever they are. Lets STOP this now like they did in Texas, put it in the proper perspective of being a RIP OFF, so others are not Exploited in the same or similar manner. get your justified refund now, if you have been Exploited, before this so called Company, whatever name it goes by closes up and leaves with your money and no service or little service rendered for which you have been unjustly RIPPED OFF. DO IT NOW before it is to late, don't sit on this, DO IT NOW! We have to show that there is a pattern to stop this, File for your justified Refund claim Now, if you have been RIPPED OFF and Exploited! Don't delay filing your claim for a refund, before it is to late. Your support is definitely needed NOW to stop this NOW..

e love is listed at the same address as Salt Lake City Matchmakers, LLc in broken Arrow Oklahoma. But Salt Lake City Matchmakers, LLVis not listyed in the phone book as having a good address at that address and it refers back to Saly Lake City, Utah complaints. Does it make you wonder why? It is just another one of the boondoggle tactics to try and give you a big run around and make people untimely if they want to cancel. What is the point of sending a cancellation to Broken Arrow Oklahoma, when it refers back to Salt Lake City, Utah? Just more red tape and BS, this will all catch up to them if we pursue it.
Lets all pursue a refund and pursue it until we all get our money refunded. I have not heard of a single person yet, male or female that has had any success witrh this so called Blind dating company. What a SHAM and a pitiful shame.

There is nothing good to say about this so called Company. They also go by Salt Lake City Matchmakers LLC but do there so calmed matchmaking out of Ca Singles in Sacramento. They deliberately engage in false advertising and deceptive business practices. They do not have a sign posted at the office that explains their refund policy, which is required by Utah State Law, they do not have there refund policy on your Credit slip you sign, which is required by Visa. This is intended to have the Consumer believe that they can not get a refund. They claimed they have an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau, when in fact they have a D+ raTing and are not even accredited with the BBB, and they do not answer complaints because they care less about you who they are Ripping Off. DON'T BE DISCOURAGED, COMPLAIN EVERY WHERE YOU CAN! They care less about you as a customer. BS. Once they get your money it is a whole different story. They are very overly Rude and Ignorant, and threaten people with turning them over for Collections. Which is against there own policy, to make it even worse, this is the kind of creepy females they supposedly promote, and they are not honest, and very RUDE and unrefined. They have not lined me up with or introduced me to anyone I'm even remotely compatible with. They won't let me see pictures of who they ARE introducing ME to.This is no more than a BLIND Dating DIS-Service and a complete absolute RIP-Off ! The first two women I was introduced to I had nothing in common with. I l;et them know about my dissatisfaction. There goes $900.00 down the drain for nothing.A total waste and misrepresentation by this so called Company. I was later given two numbers of females that this person said wanted to meet me. I called both of them the first one we arranged a meeting, then she sent me a text with the lame excuse, she needed to take a friend to the Dr., she would be back in touch when she knew better when we could meet. Have not heard from her since, even though I sent her another text. The other one said she was going out of town and would get in touch in a week when she returned. It has been over a month and I have not heard from her. The overly rude female that threatened me told me these count as my matches. I totally disagree, I am not paying $900.00 for two numbers, for two Woman I couldn't even meet and I'm not paying $900.00 to meet two other women that I had nothing in common with, that is $1800.00 I am out for nothing I am interested in and they are trying to pocket my money illegally. I suspect this was a deliberate set up by this very rude and ignorant female, to further try and steal my money by any illegal mean possible.
I will not stand for this illegal deceptive, dishonesty and stealing my money for practically nothing at all, at least nothing that I would be interested in, and they do not care, and just want to change the subject.. This so called Company is up in the night. They deliberately violate the National Do Not Call Lists and solicit persons who have their name on that list, in direct violation of Federal Law. They do not care if you are dissatisfied even when you bring it to their attention. I encourage anyone that has been ripped off to file a police report, file a Visa Dispute if you put it on your card, file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, your State Consumer Protection Bureau, your State Attorney General's Office, the Federal Trade Commission, the Federal Consumer Protection Agency and get the word out to everyone you know, not to fall for their false advertising and lies, .I believe that this so called Company is interrelated with Matchmakers of Texas. The Texas Attorney Generals office sued them, got a l, ot of money in restitution and the Judge kicked them right out of Texas. My comments are not spam they are the factual Truth so if this gets marked as spam it is likely from this so called Company that may have set this site up. The only way that we can do anything about this Horrible disservice of a so called Blind Dating Company, is if we stick together and everyone of us complains enough about them, some thing has to be done about there illegal activities. Stand up for yourself and don't be pushed around by these thugs, what they are doing is illegal, dishonest and despicable. You won't get a refund out of them unless you pursue it to the max and that is what I am going to do and doing. I have filed a Police report and I am going to submit supporting documentation of their illegal, deceptive, bad business practices. I have filed a Visa Dispute, which of course they denied and I am going to persue it as far as I can, and even to court if need be. I'm documenting my Complaint to BE filed with the State and Federal Consumer Protection Divisions. I highly encourage any and all of you to do the same. Lets follow the lead of Texas Attorney General, Greg Abbott and the State of Texas. Put this so called Blind Dating Company where it belongs, Out of Business and paying everyone of us a refund, but you have to pursue your complaints or this will not happen. Do it now if you haven't already and don't put it off there are time limits. I asked her are you telling me it could take me ten years to get these 8 introductions I paid $3600.00 for and she snobbishly replied, that's right. Now she has supposedly been promoted for treating me in such an undignified manner. The fifth person sounds exactly like her with a different name, I suspect it is really the same person, and/or if not maybe her new job is being lined up as a non member paid by this Bogus so called company for members to call to rip them off out of their money.. There is only one term for that Fraud, which is theft by deception. if you have been ripped off by this under handed so called Company, they are not going to give you what you paid for, go for a refund and pursue it, you won't get a refund if you don't do everything you can about this Scam!. Incidentally, they use VOIP phone lines, voice over Internet, protocol, and can be any where in the country. Have you noticed when you call you are put on hold while they locate who you are calling for? I have not been able to call the person direct one single time. I am on the fifth person now. Do you think this kind of mentality is going to get you or me an introduction that we are really going to meet someone we are compatible with, like they have told us we would? In my case, they have been a total failure so far with a zero batting average. That is an F in my reference book, what about yours, lets compare notes on this Bogus so called Company. Think again about that, I don't think that is going to happen come hell or high water, so get filing your complaints and documenting them right now for a refund, it may take you awhile to get it. You can get the news involved to, that is what a Lady in Atlanta did and a year later she got a refund, even though she thought that is wasn't going to happen.. Get working on it now for your refund or it isn't going to happen unless you rightfully demand it and don't be shy or discouraged by all of this so called Compagnie lies and threats. Lets all expose them for the thieves that they are and demand a refund and keep demanding it until we get it, we will feel much better when we get our refunds.. Don't put it off, get on it right now! You should also report them to the Division of Occupational and Professional Licensing, (DOPL) as they are not properly licensed to be committing Fraud and stealing people's money with bad deceptive, unfair fraudulent business practices which should be brought to the attention of DOPL and insist that their business license if one exists be revoked and they be cited and fined for illegal activities and sentenced to jail and if no license exists that they be cited and fined for operating an illegal Fraudulent business without a license, and given a jail; sentence as their premeditated activities are deliberately illegal, as far as I can tell and that is my opinion and advice and if they threaten me again that is going to be another complaint and I am not going to accept what they think they can force on me again either. Good Luck, lets show them we are not going to take this we are going to get a refund whether they like it or not just like they did in Texas.
The judge didn't buy their line of hog wash and saw if for what it is BS and Fraud. So you can use that as an important reference in your complaint,
as I believe they are related..

The biggest FRAUDS ever. After my first review, I was called on the phone from California Singles and they threatened to sue me for slander. Slander? The truth hurts. They tell you what you want to hear. Many red flags went up and I was vulnerable and they took advantage of my vulnerability. Bad News. Don't believe them. And the customer service well let's put it this way They need to put a diaper on their face because that's where the crap is coming out! I never got a phone call from the first 3 men they tried to have call me. That was the first 3 months after signing my contract for $3, 000 in the California Singles Walnut Creek office. They did not compensate me. During the 4th month I went out with a man with terrible odor. I couldn't get the smell out of my nostrils for 3 days. I almost gagged. The next two dates over the next 2 months were 5 inches shorter than what I said I'd go out with. Nothing against colored people, but I told them no blacks. They called me and offered a black man to date on 3 occasions and I finally said, Is that all you have? I had not heard from them for a 3 or 4 months and called to ask why they stopped calling me with dates. They said they thought I was still going out with the last date. Their protocol is I call them right after the date to tell them how it went. I did my part. I let them know I was dissatisfied . They did not acknowledge that I made that call. So I gave them a bad YELP review and they threatened me and told me they would not be refunding my money or giving me and calls for a date for the remaining 6 months of my contract. SNACKS with a capital S.

The first 3 men never called me and it was not made up to me in any way they said it would be. The first date had terrible odor. They did not follow my requests for a certain height. They only men they sent my way were 5 inches shorter than what I said I would date.Three dates total with 3 men. They quite calling me for the remainder of the 6 months on my contract with them. When I asked them why they dropped the ball, they said that they assumed I was still dating the last guy. I could not have been in all truth because I called them and told them it did not work out . I was following thru on my part of the contract. Then they said they seen what I put on YELP about them and they were not going to compensate me or have any further business with me. No refund for the remainder of the contract was given. 6 months I paid for something that I did not receive from the Walnut Creek office.

BEWARE! This place is the worst place ever... If you never want to find love and you like to just throw your money out of the window this is the place to go. They rip people off of there hard earned money this is all they do for you as their service. Other than that I cannot tell you what they do to satisfy any customer's. They send you around to a bunch of different people in the office tell you they have someone for you and that is a joke. They never look at your profile and then try to set you up with hobo's, really come on I can do better than that all on my own. DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY OR YOUR TIME BECAUSE YOU WILL BE VERY DISAPPOINTED IF YOU DO. You are better off to just go out more and meet people on your own. Save your money for a trip or something fun for yourself because if you think you will get love thru these people you will be sadly mistaken. :(

I was scammed by E Love in 2012. E Love, alias Today's Matchmaker, is now doing business as California Singles. They take on the name of the town, i.e., Sacramento and add "Singles" to the name.
They are not registered in California as a Corporation or as a LLC. BEWARE!

The service is unprofessional to say the least. They get you in the door and prey on the fact that you are incapable of finding "dates" and that they can do so much more for there "members" then any online dating site available. Well, I would assume with an asking price of 5000 and up they should be able to beat any dating service out there. Not the case.. my first date was a joke to say the least and my second supposedly date managed to call two weeks later and we never once met in person. The initial evaluation is a large scam to say.. I could do better myself..no thanks. Hence forth I have moved out of the contract miles and they are fighting me in regards to the mileage set forth in their contract and are asking for certain types of proof that I have moved. The contract states If you move over 50 miles from one of their sites you can be reimbursed your membership.. of course minus monies..no doubt.. I feel very sorry for any other sucker that falls prey to the scheme of bologna. I have submitted what is requested following the contract and await a return call..which is a joke also..I will be taking them to court if my monies are not returned..too bad we cannot file a class action suit to close them down..best of luck

I totally agree with everything above. Bad company with horrible follow through. They go by several names, seem to move in and out of a community. You get moved around from matchmaker to matchmaker, they don't do anything by computer; cards only! They're scammers and they know exactly how to extract your money and leave you feeling dirty for wanting to work with a personal matchmaker! Use Match.com or other; at least it's cheaper! Do not sign, and if you did and you go home and read these, [redacted]s and Yelp, send that letter to their corporate Oklahoma office overnight! Do not do it!

I have had exactly the same experiences as the above-referenced individuals. One is brought in, asked to plunk down $500 with an incredible balance -- all while being told that the staff will be extraordinarily specific with their choices of dates for you. I had to wait an entire month for my first match. He was 45 minutes late, arrived dressed in black like having arrived from a funeral and literally shouted in a public place just as we were sitting, "Sooo, how do you like Elove?" I was mortified. He began to rant about how horrible the services were. I only had fifteen minutes to spare and ran out of there. The next "date" was over an hour late! Again, another non-compatable individual with more complaints about Elove than interest in me. Also, again another, out-loud announcement that I was meeting him from a dating service. I immediately called the company, attempted to cancel my membership, left several messages to no avail. Two months later, I contacted them by letter to cancel. I had been told indirectly that "I was very bright and . . . there just were no eligible men out there for me, " coming from a staff person in Texas! I was aghast. My calls and letter were never followed up upon and two months later, I received a letter from a collection agency in the amount of over $4, 000! I have been fighting this company for over two years now and I am extremely disappointed. My next destination will be with the Better Business Bureau. Total scam: I cannot even identify them currently because they continue to change their name And do not provide their location on the website!?!? Very odd.

Recently I signed up with this company in Modesto, CA who has changed its name to California Singles which is owned by Today's Matchmaker of Modesto llc... I put $500 down and am financing the balance of $4095 over 2 years at $215 monthly. I specified that I did not want to date any men with children at home and that were shorter than 5'10"... My first and only date was with a guy who had two children at home - 15 and 19 years-old, was 5'7" tall - I am 5'8" tall and wear heels. I have many interests and like numerous activities... He had no common interests with me and would not even get from behind the dinner table and walk around! When I complained to the "matchmaker" - I was told that if he really liked me he would have walked around and wanted to drive on a short trip the next day if he was really interested in me (He had plans with his 15 year-old daughter all day)! There were complaints online about this company from men also! The gentlemen I met also had been on numerous dates where he obviously was mismatched with women as well as he discussed his other "dates' and complained to me that "he never thought he would be dating at his age" numerous times and "women wanted him to raise their kids' NOT! I also was not interested in raising his kids either! All this money being obligated and they passed me onto another matchmaker who said she had the "perfect" man for me & would call me early this last week! When I did not hear from her, I followed up - she could not even remember me, took forever to find my file, then told me "oh, too bad he found someone and has gone "on hold for now" I will call you back in three weeks"! I told her obviously she did not have a very big pool of compatible men in my age range and I thought this whole thing was a scam... She said she was not obligated to provide me a date every Saturday! I told her in one month they had not even come close to a barely match!

Stay away from this company! They have letters that I feel are fake...this is a scam! No real attempt has been made by them to match me up with someone even close to my profile card and I was not being ultra picky either reg. appearances...
