T.J. Maxx customer service

I Attempted to return a shirt with tags still attached to garment and manager valarie at the Fordham road plaza location was rude and refused to do so, I handed her my id without her asking she turned me away leaving me an unsatisfied customer I went to a different location the same day and was helped with returning the item I called the store to let her know about her bad service and she hung up the phone. I will not be shopping at this location as long as valary is the manager there. This location needs a secret shopper because they lack professionalism.

T.J. Maxx - lucas luggage

I purchased a piece of Lucas Luggage at the TJ Maxx store in Winter Haven Florida in April of this year to be used on a trip in the fall. I went on the trip as planned but the Lucas Luggage developed a rip and interior protrusion midway through the trip. I had to use duct tape to keep the luggage secure for the return flight. The luggage had a 5 year...

T.J. Maxx I have no idea what happened to tj maxx

I shopped with TJ Maxx for years and loved this place! But my recent experience was very bad and I don't want to buy anything from them in the future. My item arrived damaged and I returned it for a refund. That's actually the end of the story. I sent them item back, they said I'll get my money any time soon, but I never received anything. Then they said that they did refund me and literally called me a liar. I have no idea what happened to TJ Maxx, but they changed in a bad way.

T.J. Maxx disrespectful customer service

Complaint about manager and employee at Store #1342 Hyattsville MD. Shopped there on October 4, 2016 at about 8:30 pm. When it was time to leave the store at 9:14 pm the doors to the mall were locked - even though the store and the mall are open until 9:30 pm. I had my 5 year old grandson with me and didn't want to walk outside around the mall that time of night with him and the big shopping bag I had. The employee told me they would not open the gate to let me out. I asked for the manager. Manager Desiree tried to avoid me by going in the opposite direction when the employee told her what I wanted. The employee came back to tell me the manager said NO they would NOT open the gate to let me out. I had to go follow the manager across the store to talk to her. When they refused to let me out, I took my bag back to the register and dumped out the nearly $300 in items I had just purchased and asked for a refund. The employee at the counter LaToya turned and walked away saying OH NO! I DO NOT HAVE TO DEAL WITH YOU! I said I'm sorry are you refusing to wait on me? She said YOU GOT THAT RIGHT, I don't have to deal with your attitude! Another employee must have advised her to come back to the register but by that time I was putting my items back in the bag. I asked her name - which she PROUDLY ANNOUNCED is LATOYA... I will NEVER EVER EVER SHOP AT THIS LOCATION AGAIN and if I don't receive some gesture of apology and notification of action taken by senior management, I will happy to remove TJ Maxx from my shopping options in the future.

It is your responsibility to know what time the doors to the mall close. Most malls close all side exits except the main entrance about 30 minutes to an hour before closing. Once the doors are locked, they can not be opened unless of an emergency. Next time, don't go shipping right before the mall closes.

T.J. Maxx comforter

I went to check out at TJ Max and when the cashier rang up my sale it was way higher than I expected. When I questioned the amount it was determined a comforter I purchased had two price tags and I had not noticed the higher one. A employee from the bedding department told the cashier to honor the lower price and walked away. Then I was told by another employee that a customer had apparently changed the price tag and the store would not honor the price then proceeded to pull the lower price tag off the item destroying it. At this point I asked to speak to the manager who also indicated the price tag had been tampered with by a customer and TJ Max would not honor the price on the comforter. I asked the cashier to verify the employee from the bedding department had said to honor the price and she said she was not sure. I was so embarrassed and humiliated standing at the register with three TJ Max employees announcing the price had been tampered with on the item I was trying to purchase and making me feel like a thief. Needless to say I did not purchase andI will never shop at TJ Max again.

Why would you feel like a thief for them saying someone had tampered with the price tags? Did they say you tampered with it? You would only feel like a thief if you had done it. As for confirming with the employee about honoring it the manager already said no. The employee has no authority to override the manager. Just accept that a customer was being dishonest and move on. Everywhere you can think of to shop has had someone screw up pricing. If you stop shopping everywhere that has errors you will have nowhere to shop.

T.J. Maxx return service

I shop at Tjmaxx often wherever I am. I travel a lot between Tennessee and Ohio. Last year I tried to return a jacket that I had purchased earlier at a store in Kentucky to the store at 493 Kemper Road, Cincinnati. (I shop at this store in Ohio a lot). The manager stated that it was not in their system so she refused to return it. (The original tags were still attached). I later took it to the store at Bridgewater Falls Plaza, 3445 Princeton Road, Hamilton, OH 45011 and they immediately returned jacket with not even a comment.

On Friday, May 13, 2016 I wanted to return a backpack (again, the original tags were still on it) to the Kemper Road store and again was told they would not take it because it wasn't in their system. So I went back to Princton Road store and they immediately returned the backpack without questioning me about it.

I understand if you have an item more than 30 days, the store will give you a store credit to be used at a later date. That is perfectly okay with me, but I have a problem when stores treat you different. Can you explain this to me?

My husband suggested that I cancel my Tjmaxx credit card because I was upset over this last situation. But almost all the stores I shop in are very accommodating and I enjoy the selection and prices that the company offers. It appears to me with my experience, that Tjmaxx has a problem with a manager that may need more customer service training. Just saying!

Anyway, obviously I will avoid shopping at the Kemper Road store. I will not support their bad attitude. Especially since the people/manager at the Princton Road store is so nice.

Thank you for allowing me to complain. I don't do this often.

This is not uncommon. Just because the store is a chain does not mean they all carry the same product. If they carry it, they will accept it back. If it is not in their system, they can not make it appear. Many products are sold regionally to specific stores. Every chain store is like this. Next time, don't buy something out of town that you think you might not want to keep.

T.J. Maxx customer service

I will never purchase anything from TJMaxx, Marshalls or Homegoods as they are all TJX Companies.

My husband and I purchased a box of boxer briefs. The package had been previously opened. AFter being stared at by the sales reps while looking at the items *my husband is hispanic with tattoos, I am caucasian, we went to the front to purchase the item. Since the box was previously opened we asked the clerk to please check the item for us to make sure it was all there (this is something they are supposed to do anyways to make sure we haven't stuffed anything else into the box). She just tossed the box to us and said go ahead. I told her "I do not want you to think we are stealing". She just said pff..and go ahead again very rudely.

I purchased the product, asked the store # from the next cashier so I could call and make complaint. She gave it to me after giving me a very nasty look. I went online to the website to file complaint and conveniently everytime I tried, it kept kicking me out for "time of inactivity". I called the customer service # and am put on hold for over 15 minutes.

T.J. Maxx cashier was very unpleasant

After waiting in line for 30 minutes (two cashiers), I was finally able to reach the register after a third cashier was able to call me up. The cashier (unable to see her name tag because it was backwards), advised me to move my things from her machine. I advised the cashier to I was only removing the items from the doggie basket I was purchasing to make it easier for her to ring each item. She repeated her request as if I was not moving fast enough. I explained I didn't like how she was speaking to me and she was being un professional. She ignored me and began humming to her self. My last item, the doggie basket, had no tag. She stated I would have to wait. Her supervisor overheard and told the cashier to suspend my transaction and have me wait to the side for a price. The cashier mailed and said" Step to the side please". Out of frustration I left the items on the counter.

As a consumer, I don't feel I should have to accept such behavior from an employee. As a TJmaxx card member I am even more appalled at how I was treated. I have lost confidence in the TJMaxx experience. The cashier did not demonstrate remorse, empathy or any consideration for the length of time I spent waiting in line only to wait again for a price. I was not even given the courtesy to wait while the check. My transaction was completely suspended and disregarded.

How hard is it to just dump the basket on the belt so she can ring up your items? You are not the only customer she has waiting. It was not rude to ask you to empty the basket. I am so glad I do not work retail. I see enough people like you just out shopping.

T.J. Maxx very disappointed

I have been a customer for years now. I have returned few items and always received my money back. Recently I purchased a pair of pants from T.J.MAXX online shop. Several weeks passed and I received nothing, so I contacted customer service and asked what was going on. Unfortunately, there was no response. I wrote them over 20 times and still no response. These people are completely ignoring me! I don't know what to do, I'm starting to get nervous. I never had any issues with this company. So this is the way they treat a good customer? I'm done with this website!

account number: [protected] This is the second tie I have been receiving lte charges. I complain about the first one but then my monthly payment was suddenly raised to $35 vice $25. Ok. This time the bill was late in coming and again there's the usual lte fees of $35. Now my payment was raised to $83! I am a senior citizen on fixed income and I can't afford all all these abuse. I can't pay that amount so here's exactly what I am going to do. I'll just quit paying you. PERIOD. All the bills I'l ever get from you will just automatically go through my shredder. Out of sight. Out of mind. Just send my account to bad debts and forget about it you. I intend to settle overseas where I was from originally and whether my credit here is bad or not doesn't mean didley over there. So why don't you shove these bills where the sun don't shine? Or in my shredder if you prefer. Thank you very much.I have plenty of room in my shredder.

T.J. Maxx problems with returning items.

On Feb 3 2016 I went to this store to return 5 items.2 Nike Destroyer M65, one Nike running shell, 1Under Armour Ayton pants and The North Face Mens Jacket. The lady took this jacket to scan and she called 2 Managers Kate and Temur to check on them. The jacket was $29. It took them about 15 minutes to scan the items and they came to me and told me that the price and tags don't match any of the jackets I bought.I was standing there and I forgot to mention that two of the jackets were the same, and they have the same barcode on the receipts and the tags. One of them went on clearance for $69 another one went for $49 because I bought it one week later.I shopped at Tj maxx for 20 years and NOBODY EVER TREATED ME LIKE THAT. I WAS TREATED LIKE A CRIMINAL WHO CAME TO THE STORE WITH FAKE TAGS.
THE BOTH OF THE MANAGERS WERE VERY RUDE. I FELT LIKE I WAS DISCRIMINATED AND HUMILIATED. I WAS SO ANGRY AND I TOOK MY STUFF AND WENT TO
ANOTHER TJMAXX STORE WHERE THE MANAGER SCANNED THE ITEMS AND SAID OK TO MY RETURN.MY QUESTION IS HOW AND WHY ARE KATE AND TAMUR ARE THE MANAGERS IN THAT STORE.THEY SHOULD APOLOGIZE TO ME AND SHOULD BE FIRED OR RETRAINED. THEY SHOULD BE TAUGHT HOW TO HANDLE PEOPLE LIKE ME WHO DIDN'T DO ANYTHING WRONG. I JUST WANTED TORETURN THE ITEMS I DIDN'T WANT TO KEEP.

It is possible the items in question were the same brand but different models than what were showing in their systems. As I explained to another poster, not all chain stores carry the same product. If your return scanned in their system as a different product, then they are right to question it. I am darn near positive they were not insinuating that you were a criminal. I firmly believe that all returns should be done at the store in which you buy it. It would save so much of this type of aggravation. People think a store with a name should carry all the same stuff and can't understand when they don't ad any issues are automatically labeled bad customer service. Honestly though, would you be willing to lose money on something you did not sell?

T.J. Maxx good luck getting your order.

I have shopped at T.J.Maxx for years and never had any issues. I have literally spent thousands of dollars buying their products. I have returned few items because those items were defective, and everything was fine, they always returned my money. But two months ago I purchased a pair of leather pants from their online store and just a few hours later I received a confirmation email. Everything seemed fine. It actually takes them two weeks to deliver the package, but when two weeks passed and I received nothing, I’ve started to get nervous. I sent them a message asking what was going on, and there was no response. I wrote them 5 times and still no response. It is now January and still nothing. They ignore all my messages. I don't think I will be going back.

T.J. Maxx returning a dress...

I was humiliated by a manager, Tony. I took a dress to the store with all the tags ATTACHED, just as it had been delivered to me, along with the shipment receipt detailing the purchase information that proved the dress had indeed been delivered from www.TJMaxx.com. I wanted to exchange the dress but since there were none in the store I had no other choice but to return it and ask for a refund back to the credit card I used for the purchase. However; The dress had a LORD & TAYLOR tag, along with other tags, I did not find that strange because I am used to buying high end- high quality merchandise from TJ MAXX. I was even a bit proud that I scored such a bargain; a dress that another store was also selling for what I'm sure was a lot more than the $29.99, I had paid for it. The cashier said it wasn't theirs because of the Lord & Taylor tag. I pointed out the dress info on the shipment receipt and so she asked one of the managers (Tony) for a tag, that would allow her to credit my account. Did I mention that my Credit Card it the TJM Rewards Card? No brainer right? Well Tony decided that the dress was from L&T and that he was not going to credit my account for merchandise that didn't belong to TJMaxx. He then told me that if I really did get the dress from TJMaxx.com, that I should mail it to back to them for a refund. I was about to leave the store when I realized that I could look it up on my Smart Phone (thank God for modern tech, it substitutes common sense) and there it was my irrefutable proof, because everything else evidently was not good enough. With cell phone in hand loaded with newly acquired proof, I spoke to different manager and within seconds my account was credited. BTW, I did not get an apology from Manager Tony, whom from now on I will refer to as the Grinch at TJ Maxx. I can think of more horrible names, but since he lacks the spirit of Christmas, the Grinch is perfect, for now...

T.J. Maxx manager

On Friday December 11, 2015, a female manager grabbed another employee's lanyard and yanked it off of her neck. This manager is continuously degrading and disrespecting other employees, by the way she talks to them. We have had several complaints on this person from other customers that have witnessed different things that have been heard. I feel that this person needs to be watched before something drastic is said. This manager has been moved around several times due to this same situation.

T.J. Maxx store opened half hour late on black friday

On BLACK FRIDAY, 11/27/2015 my friends and I were waiting for the store to open. We got there at 6:50 am and the store was supposed to open at 7 am that day. We waited until 7:35 am and then finally gave up and left because no manager was there to open the store. The poor employees had to stand outside and wait in the freezing cold weather and I felt terrible for them because it was very cold! There were 5 of us looking forward to shopping that morning and they lost our business because we did not return.

T.J. Maxx poor customer service and discrimination

I went to the T.J Maxx on the 28th Street last evening to return a product. I couldn't find my receipt but I did have the product tag with me. Usually when this happens the cashier asks for a drivers licence and then would issue a store credit, which is fair and understandable... And I know this because this had happened to me before at this same location. However this was not the case last evening! Both the cashier and the store coordinator (don't remember their names) had extremely poor customer service. It was like they had no idea how to read and enter my drivers licence information into the system because my drivers licence is issued in Canada... Which had never been an issue before with any other cashier at this same location! After waiting for a good 20 minutes, the store manager Jessica finally showed up at the counter, with a very rude tone she told me that she can only accept returns from people who carry valid American ID or an American passport! And that they never accept Canadian ID at their store! Now someone please tell me if it is fair to be treated this way and that this is not a case of discrimination. I'm extremely disappointing and hurt and will never return to this store.. I will post this on as many websites as I can to make people aware of what is happening at this T.J. Maxx store.

T.J. Maxx rude customer service rep named jayna

I called to speak about receiving a statement stating my payment was not received by due date. I have a copy of the check I wrote to the company, but the very rude and unprofessional person I spoke to claimed the company didn't receive it. Fine, I can call my bank and see if the check cleared. The very rude person seemed to find it very difficult to make a note in the summary regarding the situation. She further and rudely, and forcefully, in a demanding voice stated, " Your account is nearly 37 days old" Well, duh, that is why I tried to call and clear up the matter. There have been lots of personal things I/'ve dealt with including a funeral. I called as soon as I could. Who the heck do they think they are dealing with at this place? How rude. I mean, I;m going to cut that card up immediately. And when I do get it straight, I'm thinking seriously about contacting the better business bureau. Train your folks better. Not everyone is a lying cheating person. Not me. What an awful experience. Never again.

I'd invite anyone reading this to Click on What's Wrong With You"'s name. Look at all his derisive nasty comments. This clown has been here every day for months clearly trying to make himself feel superior by putting other people down. Bully. And a closet late evening drunk would be my best guess. Likely a pervert too. And bad for business for Complaints Board. Who wants to post here with this sort of nastiness trolling around.
