I purchased a t touch solar in late december 2016 at the victoria & alfred mall in cape town, south africa:

Tissot short battery life (

Good afternoon,
I got my Tissot (serial number 11JA0035083, watch reference T063610A, watch sales T0636101603700) around 4 years ago, bought in France.

Since I got it, I already had to change its battery twice and I now have to send it a again a third time despite its last service being done on 23-Nov 2015 (see invoice attached).
The second hand started moving every 3 sec, sign of a dying battery, around 01-Apr 2017, not even 18 months after it was fully serviced in Southampton Customer Service (repair [protected]).
This is far from the 2-5 year battery duration you are currently advertising on your website.

Given the price and reputation of your products, I'm quite surprised and slightly annoyed I have to go through this kind of procedure.

Therefore, as it's still under last service 24 month warrantee, I took my watch today to SIAUD (11 Rue Masséna, 06000 NICE), one of your authorised dealer in Nice, France for them to send it back again for repair. I do hope your customer service will, this time, identify the cause of such short battery life to either solve it for good or declare the product faulty if need be.

I would also like to use this opportunity to bring to your attention how quickly your leather straps wear down despite any contact with water as I have to change mine as often as the battery.

In order to restore my confidence into your brand, I truly hope you will take my comments onboard and consider waving any potential repair costs along with offering a new brown leather strap.

Thank you in advance for your time.

Best regards,
Enzo Giusti

Tissot warranty

As per Tissot's policy it provides international warranty for materials and any defect free of cost for two years. In Bangladesh Kallol group is the authorized dealer of Tissot watches. I bought my watch from USA from an authorized dealer which provides international warranty. However, in Bangladesh I talked with an authorized dealer they replied that they only provide service warranty if they fixed something they will charge me. I think it is against the Tissot Warranty policy.

I would like Tissot to investigate the matter and consult with the authorized dealer regarding it.

With Regards,

Tissot is one of the most misunderstood watches, on their low end products (under 1k) they make most of their parts in China while using mostly ETA movements and thus some unprofessional and uneducated retailers "jump the gun" and yell FAKE, they have no clue !

You need to send it in to Tissot directly and get that in writing if it is to be a real claim! otherwise your are yelling wolf along with that agent who probably does not know a thing or 2 about the "Swiss made" laws and probably does not know watches either.

FYI; there was a recent change to the law and now it is 60% of the components value that must be made in Switzerland and not 50% as up to last year (2016)

Tissot tissot tradition perpetual calendar t063.637.36.037.00

Hi,

I bought this watch on Feb 14th, 2017 from Singapore, Raffles City Mall Tissot Standalone Outlet and realized that the perpetual calendar doesnt work for "Monday". I gave it back to the same outlet on March 1st, 2017 for a replacement and I was told "not possible". There were only two Mondays which went past post Feb 14th - and the moment I realised I gave it back for a replacement.

I cannot provide the documents as the entire box along witht he watch and the invoice, warranty card is lying at the place I bought it from - It seems it'll be sent to the service centre and I'll get it back only after 4 to 6 weeks - ridiculous!

I'm so disappointed that I was denied a replacement for a watch that is faulty from the time I bought! I need a replacement as the product is as good as DOA if its faulty when I bought.

My email id is [removed]

Thanks,

Cheytan (removed)

Tissot reliability/long life

Good day.
My wife purchased a Tissot for me as an anniversary gift in 2014.
Within 1 year, I had to replace the battery, which I did at the watch shop we purchased the watch from.
By the end of the second year, the watch was no longer keeping time correctly.
I took the watch back to the shop, they checked the battery, everything was good.
The watch then kept time for another month and started to lose time again.
I took it back. Now, the watch is out of warrantee...of 2 years. I took it back to the shop who then sent it in.
They want to charge me R1850 to repair the watch.
We purchased a Tissot. Not a Justin, not another cheap lucky packet watch...a Tissot...since 1856. Surely, by now, the watches manufactured by Tissot are of exquisite quality. I expected a much longer life span for this watch. I don't understand why a watch of this high standard could only last a year. I also don't understand why you only provide a 2 year warrantee on your watches if a watch of a lesser brand (Fossil) can offer a longer warrantee. Perhaps they have more faith in their brand?
I would like to know from you, Tissot, what can be done about this situation. I am losing my faith in Tissot because the brand doesn't last long enough to outweigh the cost.
I would appreciate a repair at no charge, with a guarantee that my very well kept, immaculate, 2 year old watch will last me longer than just 2 years. Perhaps I am the lucky one that got the runt of the litter.
Kindly let me know what you can do please.
I don't see a place to put my details.
My name is Malcolm Holden

Tissot prc200 t17.1.586.42 chronograph

I had bought this watch on Saturday 10/19/2013 from a greek luxury eclusives e-shop. One year later I' ve started to observe that my watches time sometimes was totally wrong . I didn't want to believe it was a malfunction so I gave it a chance and have the battery replaced in a local watch store. One year after the same problem was emerged and I did the same. A month earlier I replaced again the battery and after a couple of weeks the indicators started running like Jusein Bolt. That was the final point that I understood I owned a piece of garbage. Then I sent the watch for service in Athens and they told me that I needed a new brand mechanism costing 180 €. So Tissot guys saled me a defective product for 306 €, which lasted through malfunctions for only about 3 years and 2 months and now ask me to trust them again and waste my money for a short life product. The only thing that l' ve regretted, is that I've never used the warranty because I believed it was a battery issue. I ask for a better service price because it's the company's faulty make.

Tissot prc-200 quartz watch

On 2010, I purchased a prc-200 quartz watch in a store called kilates in san pedro sula, honduras since the very beginning the watch presented a problem by losing 7 seconds each day about 3.5 minutes per month, I request you to fix this problem in order to honour this prestigious company and the money I spent believing I was purchasing an exellent product.

Tissot tissot watch & repair services

Dear All,

I have purchased a ladies watch on 30th June 2014 in Vilnius, Lithuania for my birthday and have chosen TISSOT T033.210.22.111.00 (serial number 12BN0389930).

I have been so excited and thought it will last me a lifetime! A little I knew back then...

During the 2 year warranty, this watch has failed 3 times and I have to bring it to local Tissot dealer to get it repair! Unfortunately every time it has only been temporary repair without removing the actual fault at first place!
The local dealer UAB “Norkada' has failed to provide a sufficient repair to me as their client and have only replaced battery on 3 occasions without even investigating the fault first. They have not resolved the issue and have used the warranty timeframe to cover up the problem by replacing battery only.

It's with the heavy heart I have to say that my watch has failed again on 23rd September 2016 due to insufficient repair and lack of attention and customer service from both Tissot and their local dealer and I am no longer able to claim this from the warranty! I cannot express how sad and broken heart I feel after discovering that my beloved watch has never been repaIred properly and that UAB “Norkada' as a local dealer has been unhelpful and lacking the general knowledge in th service level of so well recognised name as Tissot!

I would like to speak to someone at Tissot who would be able to help me replace this watch (which has been nothing but trouble) or refund my money back. Could you please recommend the best person/ team to talk to?

I am already seeking legal support and your response would be greatly appreciated.

Kind regards,

Diana Bubeniene

Tissot gents watch

I received a tiscot watch as a christmas present 2015, it was purchased in switzerland in december 2015.In october 2016 the watch stopped. I took it to a local agent who informed me that the battery had failed and it would cost £50 to replace. As the watch was under 12 months old I sent 3 emails to tiscot with no reply! I feel this is very poor customer service and would look for the faulty battery to be replaced under warranty

Tissot tissot t-touch expert solar

I bought a tissot t-touch expert solar in june 2016 and noticed a defect in the display by july. I returned it to the retailer and was told it would take 6-8 weeks to repair, this is ridiculously long. Since i handed over the watch and the warranty card i have heard nothing.

The watch was aud 1500 and is the first watch i have ever had to return. So much for a quality brand!

I went to their website to submit a complaint and ask for a repair status but could not tell if the message was even delivered. The site never moved off the form or indicated a successful delivery of the message.

Tissot watch

Sir,
I have bought tissot t0494171105700n (barcode148868964053, price 15094.34) watch on 21/12/2011 from malabar gold and diamonds (malabar retna mahal pvt. ltd, 20/90-d) for the marriage purpose of my daughter. but unfortunately the watch has stopped working within 6 months of use. I was working abroad, so because of that I was not able to contact with the malabar gold and diamonds till 2016. after contacting them now the showroom officials cheched the watch and informed that the machine of watch has some problems and it has to be replaced and replacement will cost more than 8000 inr. but I can't afford this big amount. so as a loving and passionate user of tissot I am requesting to help me to solve this issue and repair my watch as it is so precious to me.
I hope u will take my issue seriously.

Tissot tissot ballade

I bought a Tissot Ballade watch in India at a tissot store. I bought it for around Rs.22000 with a 2 years warranty, it worked for 2 years and 1 month only. First itself I had a issue in the stem and they told it was a small prob and rectified it. Now after the warranty I took it to another service centre and they claim that the stem is gone and I need to replace it which will cost around Rs.7500. I use this watch very very rarely and would have used it for around 50 days only. Is the quality so worse that an unused part like the watch stem gets worn out within this period.

Tissot t-touch ii/bad quality & horrible customer service

In 2004, I bought the Tissot T-Touch in Tripoli, Libya for 700 LYD (516 USD). I enjoyed the watch and had to replace the battery 6 years later, which was excellent.
In 2013, I realized a crown was missing and went to the Swatch Group Service Center in Korea to get it replaced. They said it would cost 210, 000 KRW (179 USD) to replace a single crown, which I was OK with, since I had a terrific time with that watch. However, they said they wouldn't be able to secure that particular crown, because the watch is reaching end-of-life status. Instead, they suggested I take advantage of the T-Touch Exchange program, which would get me a new watch for 284, 000 KRW (242 USD). It sounded like a great deal.
So when I did get the T-Touch II (I had not been informed that I would be getting a different model) in a plastic zip bag (no box) with the user's manual and the following note saying that although the watch was waterproof (not even water resistant), it would not be so after 2 years, I was fairly amused.

I simply took this to mean that T-Touch II was an inferior model to T-Touch, and avoided water.
In 2016 (3 years after I got the T-Touch II), I went to the Korean Swatch Group Service Center and paid 20, 000 KRW (17 USD) for battery replacement. A couple of days later, the rubber band snapped off,

so I went back to the Service Center and paid 287, 000 KRW (244 USD) for a titanium bracelet. Then I asked for help with the altimeter, as I was having doubts as to whether it was working properly. Staff took a look and said that the altimeter wasn’t working, the watch wasn’t waterproof, that the watch had a circuit issue, and it would cost 230, 000 KRW (196 USD) to run a circuit test to figure out what was wrong and fix it. I found this to be totally outrageous: these watches are sealed for water resistance, and the only time the watch was opened was when the battery was replaced at the service center a few days ago, meaning that the watch never was water resistant in the first place. After some unpleasant hassle, they settled for 110, 000 KRW (93 USD) and didn’t charge shipping for once.

To wrap things up, I bought a watch for 516 USD and Swatch Group drained 596 USD from me for a defective watch. I was sold an unqualified product in the guise of a promotion, unless there is no OQC process. I would suggest Tissot Korea to refrain from using the term Bang Su (waterproof); it should be Nae Su (water resistant).

Tissot palmed a china made tissot by swatch group store?

I bought a TISSOT PRC200 Powermatic 80 watch (model T055.430.16.057) on 2nd May 2016 from Hour Passion, Zurich Airport. They claim to be Swatch Group store. Before buying I inquired if the watch is China made. I was told that the watch is genuine and Swiss Made.

I now notice that the Serial Number is not engraved on the case back between WATER RESISTANT and STAINLESS STEEL, where it is supposed to be engraved. This space is empty. This can be seen from the picture uploaded. There is only a QR sticker which displays the serial number. I have written to the Dealer but there has been no reply. I have left messages on TISSOT website under 'Contact Us' but there has been no response yet.

Also, at the time of buying the sales person asked me if I wanted the box. This surprised me as they are supposed to give with each and every watch.

Also, the User's Manual is of 'Analog Quartz' (seen in picture here) instead for 'Automatic'.

Also, the Warranty card bears Chinese language (seen in picture here)

Also, I am not given the Hang Tag of the watch on which the serial number is mentioned.

Also, the box is not the usual long rectangular with Red and Black metal logo. They have given me a small square three fold box

Also, the leather strap is not marked 'Genuine Leather'.

All this leads me to believe that the watch in all probability is China made and not Swiss made. Hence I seek full refund of my watch.

My main point is .. why is the engraved serial number missing on the case back ? The same can be found on all the watches of the same model as well as other models of TISSOT ?

Tissot watches are actually made in China. The movement is cased in Switzerland. That is enough to comply with the "Swiss Made" rule.

Tissot this is my second tissot watch.

My wife gave me this classic automatic leather band tissot. She knows i love this brand. Is my second one . First one is "automatic". I want to know why the second one, the "automatic" stop working /moving when i put in on my nightstand at the end of the day/overnight... Do automatic watches need a watch winder box to keep the system working...If "yes" is the "versa brand, watch winders box"... $49.00 at amazon will correct the situation. I do not think nothing is wrong with my. Brand new tissot... Before i go to tissot for guarantee purposes, i want to inquire and look for easy solutions. I went to the internet/amazon and there are all kind of box winders...Are all this for "automatic watches"?. Help !. I do not want to waist money and time.

Tissot tissot watch (tissot tradition perpetual calendar quartz)

Two years back with very high hopes I bought a Tissot watch (Tradition, Approx USD 450) coming from a regular family I had a save up to buy this watch. This was bought from a distributor shop named Hours Choice in Doha, Qatar.

But to be extremely dissapointed in two things
1. Strap lasted for a shorter time than a cheap watch which I can buy at a shop beside a road.
2. Watch stopped working and was sent to repair to be found out that there is an IC issue and that it has to be replaced
Total cost Qatari rial 625 (USD 170)

This is absurd when my Tissot watch stops working after just above 2 years. When any cheap watch will let for many more years.

I will not do the repair with this absurd cost and this will be the last Tissot watch I buy ever. I looked after this watch with much care but the product was of such low standard that it broke in about 2 years.

Thoroughly dissapointed customer

Tissot product and customer service

To Whom it may concern.

I purchased a Tissot watch from cancel walk in 2012. (Don't have exact date as store has warrantee card.) Value was +/- R3000

The watch was loosing time, so took it into Canal Walk for repairs in July 2013, repairs took a two months. Then three months later the problem started again. I again took the watch in and this time while I had to wait longer, they informed me that they replaced the inside of the watch. I was happy at the time as I assumed this issue was over. (From second repair I only received my watch back around January as the supplier closed for Christmas - understandable)

Last year November the watch stopped completely. Took it to a jeweler and was informed that there was no pulse on the watch and should take it back to the supplier.

So handed my watch in on the 16.11.14.

To date I still don't have my watch. In the last 2 years my watch has been in for repairs a total +/- 9 months.

I understand that items needs to be sent to suppliers and that twice my watch was given in just before Christmas, but I am now over this process.

I have even started looking around to purchase a new watch else where. I find myself in a difficult position as I spent a lot of money on this watch, but don't get the chance to ware it.

I have heard from all my friends and family that Tissot is a good brand and that this is not normal.

I still want - Need a watch... Please can you assist with this complaint. I have been into the store once and called twice to follow up. There was one voice mail saying that my watch is still at the supplier.

I now find this unacceptable. (Just been informed that watch needs service and will cost +/- R650 - This is very strange as this is suppose to be a branch new watch)

I am also going to put my complaint forward to the Complaints Board for Tissot)

Please can I rather have my money back or replace the watch, or give me another watch. Something that works and will not need constant repairs.

I just want this to be over. Please can you assist.

Thank you for your time.

Kind Regards

Tarryn

Tissot does not work

I bought a Tissot PRS516 about a year ago from Dubai. I have no idea as to why its not working now. I watched some of the help tutorials and read some articles to see whether I'm doing anything wrong. In fact, I have done the perfect winding and there is no physical damage, but it works only for a couple of seconds if I shake the watch. I'm very disappointed now after being changed to Tissot from Titian. I have used Casio, Titan, Wester (may be inexpensive brands) watches and my titan watch work even now, even though I bought it over 12 years ago. I hope you would respond me to solve this issue. When I ask the dealer in Sri Lanka they said to bring the watch, but to simply check they wanted 03-04 weeks. I think that's absolutely insane.

Tissot warranty not honoured

My boyfriend bought me a new Tissot watch for Christmas and the pearl face shifted about 30 degrees after 14 months. It was purchased with a 2 year warranty and when we returned the watch they said that I'd hit it with a blunt instrument on purpose and it was not covered under warranty. I'd had it on my wrist the entire time, so seems unusual that I would be unaware of this impact. They're refusing to honour the warranty and they are the only place that I can fix the watch through, since stores will just send the watch back to them anyway!
Tissot's customer service is awful. They are really mean, nasty people and speak to customers with terrible condescending tones. They've accused me of hitting my watch with a blunt instrument on purpose and will not honour the warranty. Absolutely disgraceful! I will never buy another Tissot, not because the quality of the watches is pretty poor, but because their staff are such awful people that make me so angry I want to jump out the window. NEVER AGAIN!
