On 19th December after a wait of 10 hrs we took off from Birmingham airport Uk.
We were to fly to Lanzarote in the Canary Islands Spain. As we were about to land we were told that we would have to divert to Gran Canaria, the next island. We were also told that the whole of the planes luggage had been left at Birmingham but not to worry as after a night in Gran Canaria we would be taken to Lanzarote and our bags would be there waiting. The next day we where taken to Lanzarote guess what, no bags. The Thomson staff had us fill out a form with contact details and a phone number and once again we were told that the luggage would be here next day.
We were not given any help with toiletries etc. We were given a number to phone about the luggage. After trying several times of ringing this number no one answered.
It is now WEDNESDAY 22nd December and still no luggage. I phoned Thomson in the UK on there help line and asked about the cases. I was told that some had been sent on Tuesday 21st December but that the rest were still in Birmingham waiting on a list being sent
to establish what cases belonged to which people?
This is very poor service. How was the plane allowed to leave without cases? No one seems to know where the cases are. For people on a one week holiday they may as well pick them up from Birmingham on the way back home.
I would ask people not to use Thompson if possible as they do not deserve the custom.
