Thermador Bad service

I have had problems as soon as the 1 year warranty expired. I had spent extra on what I thought was a good brand. 12 years ago there weren't that many around. The display panel stopped working early on. The next year the simmer burner stopped working and I was running on 3 burners. We had the "authorized" repairman fix the burner(for $700.00 and her didn't replace the broken knob!) Borrowed another knob and it worked for about 6 months, coughed and died again. Back to 3 burners. The final blow, I turned on the self cleaning oven, opened it the next morning and the glass door shattered! Out shopping now, never for a Thermador!

Thermador Wall Hood

The product is one of Thermador's Professional series wall hoods, model PHE42US. We have had it for just over a year (the warranty period) and last week it started to run on its own intermittently for a few seconds. You cannot turn it off manually while it is doing this. I disconnected the power to the blower and the power switch still flashes intermittently indicating that it would run again on its own.

All Thermador would do is to refer me to a local repair service, after all they have my money for what they sell as a premium product. We have an entire kitchen of their products and have had problems with the induction cooktop and had difficulty in getting assistance from Thermador in determining how to trim out the botton of the refrigerator and freezer.

Bottom line is you should think long and hard about buying anything from Thermador. Our experience with mearly $20, 000 of appliances has been very poor.

Thermador Bad barbeque

I purchased a barbecue a little over a year ago. The hardware holding the ignitors has crumbled but in trying to deal with their parts center i was told instead of buying the $1.00 part that holds the ignitor i had to purchase the.

Whole ignitor system, and would have to have a serviceman come to the house and install it. I called the service center and was told they would call me back. They didn't and when i called back i was told that there was no record of my call. I was spoken to rudely and to someone with absolutely no patience. This product is expensive.

It should be better made or at least sell the parts that are so easily broken. Im disappointed in the way this company treated me and i wouldn't buy another one of their products.
