we also put out an internet request for an engine for 1 of our customers vehicles(2.8 pajero). we were contacted by fredie who said he had a fully tested engine with full warranty...so we proceeded to order the engine. we were told delivery would take three working days but in the end it took them two whole weeks before we got our engine. when it finally arrived our mechanic was literally shocked at the state of it (bits broken, sump damaged,rocker damaged,manifold bolt sheered off). we phoned parts plaza nad they catagircally refused to take the engine back.. in the end we had no choice but to fit it.
when we came to install it (after many hours fixing it) it turned out that this was not even pajero engine but from a mitsubishi delica. it took us an extra 5 hours swapping over the parts..we finally started the engine and all we heard was tak.tak.tak.tak. from the engine. we again phomed parts plaza and were told someone would get back to us ...10 phone calls later and still no joy..so we arranged our courier company to take the engine back and were expecting a full refund....as yet we are still expecting (6 months later). we are definateley taking this to court and have initiated proceedings. DO NOt TRUST UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES...THIEVES LIARS THIEVES LIARS & THEIVES
