To make this time share disaster story short - My wife and I were invited to go to a presentation for Villa del Palmar. It seemed like such a great deal. We went to talk about it outside and my wife burst into tears because it's been really hard for us and we wished we could afford such things. They promised us a job if I bought this membership but it seems that was not true. I went and said this to one of the reps, and she immediately informed me "absolutely no problem, you can come and get a job here". I live in Guadalajara so that seemed to be an option. She even said "send the particulars and I'll get onto your work permit". Now, we are not really hearing back from them. I sent a text to another rep, an American, asking what was going on and telling him that I had a strange feeling about this - please just let me know if this is false intentions instead of having me wait around for nothing. He texted me back the next day saying he'll look into it with the HR person, and that 'strange' feeling I have is good excitement, not bad. It seems that I really got bamboozled. Shame on me. I should have waited till I got the job and then maybe signed up. But she said that everyone that works there is a member first, so we could not get a job unless we signed up for this deal. I am trying to find how to cancel this and get my refund back. I understand that there are a lot of scammers out there that take advantage of people in my position. But I also understand that there are some people that really help us. If anyone can give me some ideas and directions, I would really appreciate it. Thank you for any attention to my matter, David
