IAM WRITING THIS COMPLAINT BECAUSE I HAVE BEEN A VICTIM OF THE PURSE FORUM IN THE PRADA HALL OF SHAME. I WAS ACCUSED OF SELLING "FAKE" HANDBAGS ON EBAY BY PRADA PSYCHO & MISS FIGGY. I WONDERED WHY THESE PEOPLE WOULD WRITE SUCH NASTY LIES WHEN ALL THE BAGS I SELL ARE AUTHENTIC. I DID NOT REPLY TO THEIR ALLEGATIONS, BUT REPORTED THEIR THREADS TO THE PURSE FORUM & REQUESTED THE THREADS BE DELETED. THE P/F STATES "PLEASE DO NOT INTERVENE TO CONFRONT A TROLL OF RUDENESS ON THE BOARDS, JUST USE THE REPORT BUTTON TO ALERT THE MODS & LET THEM HANDLE IT FROM THERE". "IN THE MEANTIME, JUST IGNORE THE POSTER UNTIL A MOD CAN INTERVENE". "ALWAYS BE RESPECTFUL WHEN YOU POST A THREAD & TREAT OTHERS AS YOU EXPECT TO BE TREATED". " THIS IS AN OPEN THREAD & EVERYONE IS WELCOME TO PARTICIPATE". IT IS NOW 6 MONTHS LATER & THE THREADS REGARDING MYSELF ARE STILL IN THE HALL OF SHAME FOR EVERYONE IN THE WORLD TO READ. I HAVE CONTACTED THE PURSE FORUM SEVERAL TIMES, I AM STILL WAITING FOR A REPLY, HENCE IAM WRITING TO THE COMPLAINTS BOARD & WILL ALSO BE CONTACTING THE PRESIDENT OF EBAY. I FEEL SORRY FOR THE PEOPLE WHO POST SUCH DISRESPECTFUL THREADS ABOUT OTHERS. THEY OBVIOUSLY HAVE NO LIFE & ARE JEALOUS OF OTHER'S SUCCESSES. THEY JUST CANNOT COME TO TERMS WITH THE FACT THAT EBAY SELLERS CAN ACTUALLY ACQUIRE AUTHENTIC ITEMS. WHILST I HAD LIVE LISTINGS ON EBAY, I RECEIVED SEVERAL MESSAGES FROM DIFFERENT PEOPLE ACCUSING ME OF SELLING FAKE BAGS. THEY WERE REPORTED TO EBAY & IT WAS LATER FOUND THAT THIS WAS ACTUALLY ONE PERSON WHO HAD THREE IDENTITIES. ONE PERSON IN PARTICULAR ALSO HAD THE ORDASITY TO GO INTO MY FEEDBACK & CONTACT MY CUSTOMERS TO ADVISE THEM TO REPORT ME AS I HAD SOLD THEM A FAKE BAG. I HAVE CONDUCTED SOME RESEARCH & INVESTIGATIONS OF MY OWN & HAVE DISCOVERED THAT THESE PEOPLE HAVE INFORMANTS IN DIFFERENT COUNTRIES. THEY ALSO DELETE PORTIONSOF CONVERSATIONS ON THE THREADS (COPY & PASTE) & ADD THEIR OWN INFORMATION. I CANNOT BELIEVE HOW MANY GULLIBLE FOLLOWERS THEY HAVE, THEY ARE ALL SO RUDE. THEY CLAIM TO BE EXPERTS IN AUTHENTICATIONS, HA HA...AS THE DISCLAIMER ON THE PURSE FORUM STATES - "THE EVALUATIONS POSTED BY THE PURSE FORUM'S MEMBERS ARE ONLY OPINIONS THAT STEM FROM PERSONAL EXPERIENCES AS SHOPPERS & COLLECTORS. THEY ARE NOT LEGALLY BINDING OR PROFESSIONAL AUTHENTICATORS & ARE NOT TO BE TREATED AS SUCH" WELL, PURSE FORUM, YOUR "MOD" ISN'T DOING THEIR JOB VERY WELL. EVERYTHING THE PURSE FORUM INDICATES THEY STAND FOR DOES NOT REFLECT THIS WHEN YOU GO INTO THE HALL OF SHAME. OH WELL, WHAT GOES AROUND COMES AROUND - I GUESS ONE DAY THEY WILL END UP WRITING SOMETHING ABOUT SOMEONE WHO MIGHT JUST TAKE ACTION FOR DEFAMATION OF CHARACTER.

effenhaute3,

Heads up... It is very unwise of you to contact the sellers and buyers of fakes, on ebay. It is a total violation and is considered 'auction interference'. You can actually lose your account for this, if you are caught doing it. The only thing that is allowed is for you to report the listing(s) . Period.

I also agree w/ you OHU. Short and to the point!
Vapor: I've never contacted a seller via eBay messaging and called them "thieves", "cheats", or "scammers".
I only send messages to those that you mention that might not be aware they are selling counterfeits. Those that believe they can purchase these high end designer bags from "wholesaler" websites. I obviously made an error with "Fakeme" here.

FAKE ME... FYI... selling counterfeits is illegal. Complaining about being reported on ebay for selling fakes is akin to calling the cops when your drug dealer rips you off. Don't want to be reported? Don't sell fakes. It's not rocket science!
You should be thankful someone tried to warn you that your stuff was counterfeit. They DO arrest people for selling counterfeits.

Lauren, what type of forum are you starting? If you want a forum to blast the purse blog, there are already quite a few.

Fakeme:
Your listings were reported and removed for one reason: They were listings of counterfeit bags, PERIOD.
And those eBay sellers that list and sell counterfeit bags are scammers!
I am not a troublemaker. I am not "immature" and am certainly not jealous of sellers that sell counterfeit handbags.
Yes my 100% feedback is private. eBay does not allow it's members to sell and have private feedback. eBay will not allow you to list anything with private feedback. My feedback is private because it is 100% from purchases. I do not want just anyone - family, friends, or complete strangers viewing my purchases. It's that simple.
A few years ago I was scammed with a fake bag. I spent a lot of my time researching and educating myself on counterfeits so it wouldn't happen again.
eBay encourages it's members to police themselves, so yes I do peruse the listings and report counterfeits to help others (unsuspecting eBay buyers) from being scammed. It has nothing to do with competition. I have never sold a Prada / Gucci / or Fendi bag. I will continue to spend a few minutes every morning to help remove listings of counterfeit bags.
Finally, I am not a member of the purse forum.

WOW! That is almost the same type of email I recieved from an Ebay Seller Member for my items I was selling. This happened twice yestreday and today that they targeted just my listings and flagged and reported them to Ebay. Of course Ebay never does anything to protect the seller when they are getting harassed by these so called "PURSE EXPERTS!" I also was recieveing rude emails from this ebayer and I even reported this person to Ebay as harassment emails and still NOTHING was done...instead of investigatiing, they believed that Ebay member and still deleted my items! WTF! These people really need to get lives...how could you be that inmature and jealous to sit on Ebay and look for peoples postings to flag and get deleted. I even had a purse with no STOCK photos with a bidder get taken down because of so called "Violation." Yea okay sure whatever! This is the Ebay member hat kept harassing me: EBAY MEMEBR ID: effenhaute3, oh and they so call have 100% rating as a seller but hides their feedbacks...hmmmm interesting! Here is one of the last emails I recieved from this member before I reported them to Ebay: Please review my about me page. Do you really think that individual ebay sellers can purchase Prada/Gucci/Fendi/Chanel bags "wholesale"? Please do not be naive. If that was the case, and we could purchase bags for 1/3 of retail, there would be no need for their boutiques. Correct? No you did not do your research. Call Prada and ask them if your so called "wholesaler" is an authorized distributor. They will laugh at you. If you still don't believe me, then have your bag professionally authenticated. Our post photos on the purse forum. O better yet, google your supplier or do a search there. By the way, the authenticity cards are easier to fake than the bags are! - effenhaute3...beware of this ebayer and others who do nothing but target, stalk, and get your items taken off just because they suck as sellers and get jealous!

VAPOR 111 is 9624 judge,

Yeah, so what is your point ? You [censored]es from the ebay purse board just can't comprehend anyone who ever sticks up for a seller on ebay. That's because you are all so busy discrediting all of them but YOURSELVES, so you can eliminate the competition.

Well, get over it! You have no point. judge was correct to agree with this seller. It's not the seller's fault that the buyer moved. DUH...

Did it occur to you that the bags you were selling are indeed counterfeits?

You are aware that you cannot purchase authentic Prada bags "wholesale" correct?
You are aware that the "wholesale" internet sites are a big scam correct?

The font on your tags are wrong and the hardware is wrong. Counterfeiters cannot get these two parts of the handbag correct.

vapor111, u have spent lots of time criticising others for being mean to sellers because said sellers "mistakenly" listed fakes. Is this the kind of "nice" post that you make?

from December 2009- buyer had incorrect address in paypal. This particular poster ATTACKED the buyer mercilessly:

Guess you should have changed your address then, huh?

Sorry, but Ive had that issue. Buyer cant remember to change their address, then blames it all on me. I have no sympathy what-so-ever for a buyer that cannot update their address. Its not hard to do.

Oh, and I believe you can file something with the PO for that theft.

I remember my first " Jessie Check " here in MN ( governor gave out a rebate of sorts for 2 years in a row ) The state had it in their records that they shipped to my new address, yet, when it came down to who got my check, and signed it, it had gone to a very old address.

I had to file with the PO some type of theft form ( because it was addressed to me, that person could not open my mail, however he did. Its a federal offense ) However, with your case, how would you be able to prove it?

While this is the buyers error, it seems that OP is not trying to blame the seller for the situation, rather go after the people he believes has his item.

You may want to contact the policy and run the story by them, see what they think.

Either way, will this seller get the pos they so richly deserve, even though buyer cant remember to change their address? Probably not, Im betting neut at best.

The only problem being, how will this person prove that those people really truly received said item? I guess he could sit outside their home, and wait for the PO person to show up to deliver mail, and give them the third degree about a certain package, but what are the odds of that happening and being able to prove?

Wow, I didnt think I would get lynched in the replies. I blame no one, except the people who kept the merchandise. The seller has been awesome, and actually has refunded me half of the money and gave me some bottles of wine for the other half, since he did send it to an uncofirmed address, and NOT the one that I specifically noted when I paid through PayPal.

Thanks BabyLove, for the suggestion. I guess it would not hurt to go to the police and see what they suggest.

For the record, I informed the seller that if I do get the camera (i know, slim chance), I would return the money and merchandise to him. There are still some honest people in the world.

The replies in this thread appear to come from sour folks who are looking to take out their frustrations on buyers, instead of addressing the issue at hand. Its Christmas people.

We are sour because, buyers like you, who are too lazy to log into PP and change your address, get their purchases mailed to the wrong address, then it comes back on the seller.

As for you, you made off, too lazy to change your address officially, yet, the seller gave you a full refund so to speak between money and product.

Just sick. Buyers like you make me sick. You should have refused both the money and the product since it was fully your fault.

Have you gotten your lazy butt over to PP and fixed the address issue yet?

For that matter, how long ago did you move? If recently, too lazy to fill out the change of address form at the PO? If its been over a year, you way too lazy if you havent made it to PP to change the address.

I really loved the " sellers honest mistake " give me a break.

When a seller hits print label from Ebay, it takes you to PP, where that info is already filled in. Had you fixed the address issue before you paid, the address would have been changed. However, you being the laziest person that you are, you couldnt take the minute it takes to change your address.

SAD just sad, and now seller is out the camera, the money and other product.

Gosh, what a great buyer. Just the type that Ebay needs on Ebay...

I am a great buyer, just look at my feedback, all purchases.

By the way, to the person that asked if i had 'gotten my lazy butt over to change my address', you obviously didnt really take the time to read my original post as the answer is there. You 'at home merchants' just read what you want to read and some how get off on being tough on the web.

*****Incidentally, the address is probably 5 years old. I never removed it but its not my default address so Im still not sure how the seller got it as I have made literally over a hundred purchases without a problem. The paypal screen defaults to your confirmed address but i can change that to a different one (my office address as an example) if I so choose. That wasnt the case here so its still a mystery as to how that address was selected as the mailing address.

If the address is 5 years old, why havent you deleted it off your account? Too lazy? Or were you planning on moving back there?

When you go to pay for your item, you should always verify the address. PP has glitches. That is not in any way your sellers fault.

And why on earth would you send a message to seller correcting the address, if in fact, the correct address was showing? Oh wait, you forgot to check to verify the invoice / payment notice was showing the correct address?

Buyers like you cost us money when you cant verify addresses. Then you have the gahoonas to take money and product back from the seller for your screw up? Stating it was an honest mistake on the sellers side? You make me sick. Like I said, you should have refused both because of YOUR error.

And Yeah, you have 100% feedback as a buyer. Jee, like every buyer has 100% feedback. Doesnt impress me one single bit.

----------------------------------------------
did anyone count how many times 9724judge told that buyer how sick she was of buyers like that? is no one allowed to make a mistake?

again, here is the full thread:

Sorry this happened to you, but you are not alone NO, IT IS NOT RIGHT. It is a scam. We have discovered that the purse forum (tpf) and the ebay purse board 'gang' use those boards to manipulate handbag sales for themselves.

They will often claim that other sellers are selling fakes, even if they are not. There are several other topics on this complaints board regarding this matter. This has been going on for a very long time.

Last fall, many of us decided it was time to do something about them. We were able to get the ebay purse board under control. There isn't much we can do about the the tpf purse forum.

The good news is, and we know from our own experiences, not many ebay buyers, are members of the purse forum. The bad news is, there is no way to prevent these competitors from emailing your buyers and trying to cause you problems. They deliberately scare and intimidate buyers into believing they are the only ones who sell authentic items, and we have found that they are in fact, selling really good knock offs! It's a total criminal scam.

Perhaps you can refer your buyers to this complaint you have posted, and this other link as well. ..

The Purse Forum — Fraud & harassment from the purse forum on ebay

Much of what has been going on is explained there. Once you have these creeps on your back, it is like being infested with cockroaches that are very hard to get rid of. They just keep bugging you and your buyers.

The best way to protect yourself and your account is to get your bags professionally authenticated. Then they can't touch you. You can contact Caroldiva.com, or My poupette.com. They are both accepted by Paypal and ebay as valid authenticators.

Best of Luck.
