The Dump Customer Service

Me and my son went into The Dump, Oaks PA for a rug as they were having a sale. Upon entering I noticed a sectional that caught my eye. We sat on the sofa which was extremely comfortable. We were approached by Liz (Elizabeth) the salesperson. I explained that I came to the store for a rug, but the sofa caught my eye. She then said the sofa was high-end but her manager was wanting to get it sold and with it being the floor model she would give a discount. I looked the sofa over and it did not have any visible damage. However, I was unsure if it would fit along my wall due to the length. To make a long story short I purchased the sectional on the contingency that I be allowed to go home and measure my wall. If my wall is shorter than the sofa, I will be given 48-hours to cancel the order (I should have taken a pic with my phone). Keep in mind I had to put a down payment of over $700 (20%).

Well, when I got home I measured and unfortunately my wall (71") cannot accommodate the sofa (91"). So, I then call the customer service number the next day to cancel the order... fast busy; tried a second time... fast busy; and tried again... it rings until I get a fast busy. Really? I then go the to company website to get an email address. I sent an email to [protected]@thedump.com requesting cancellation of the order just to have a document trail with date and time. Thereafter, I started to search the reviews on this company and found this website. OMG! So, I call my credit card company to get info on what to do next. This is my story.

The Dump loading warehouse

I was so disappointed in the Dumps "new Policy". I had no problems with my salesman, waiting on a day for them to deliver my mattresses was not an option.I came in my own truck, I was advised by the salesman, that when I got to the back to pick up my merchandise they were not going to put it on my truck, because of a new policy.I misunderstood him, I assumed they were not going to tie it down, not load it.I am a 67 yr.old woman, how was I supposed to load 2 mattresses ? Schocker, I was inform by the manager of the Dump in Houston and the warehouse person, that they could not help me.Thankfully 2 men were waiing on teir mattresses and helped me. This was so upsetting to me, because this should have been handled differently.When I spoke to the store manager he was veryyyy rude, and said because they had been sued, they could not help me.So people please pay attentin.We are paying for someone else's mistakes.If I had know that I would and should have went elsewhere.

The Dump reclining sofa and chair

January 2010 I purchased a reclining sofa, two matching reclining chairs, and also a 5 year warranty suggested by the sales person. On November 6 2014 I contacted the warranty company Guardsman to report the sofa was falling a part and was told to fill out a claim form and send pictures of the damage, in which I complied. I received a letter shortly after stating that because I did not contact Guardsman within 5 days of the damage they could not repair the sofa. I have gone back and forth with The Dump and Guardsman's to try and get the soft repaired or replaced but to no avail. Now 5 years later and an expired warranty not only has the sofa broken but one of the chairs has completely fallen apart . I guess that that's the reason the warranty is 5 years because the furniture falls apart exactly five years to the date. Now I'm out of money and will have to pay to get the sofa and chair repaired out of my own pocket. The Dump and Guardman's Warranty has the worst customer service or repair policies ever. I will never shop or recommended the Dump because they are truly a dump

The Dump sectional, two bed frames,1 mattress and foundation

November of 2014, my husband and i went to Dump location on 2860 S. Highland ave, Lombard, Ill 60148. We were introduced to James one of their sales representatives. who immediately took us to where the sofas was. James never disclosed that the sofa and pillows was made of feathers, other than it was a great product, and it just came in, and it was made by one of California best artist.

My husband and i paid $5, 068 on the items, which include sectional, two bed frame, 1 mattress and foundation. we set a delivery date, on the delivery day, they did not bring the other bed and frame, because they said they didn't have it in stock, but that wasn't disclosed to us during the transaction, if it was, we would not have bought it or paid for it. during this time, my husband and i went back to the store after calling repeatedly without any responds from the store. When we got there, we told the store manager to cancel all our orders and to come and pick their stuff from the house. He said that he will get to the bottom of the problem.

At that time we were filled with regret, and buyers remorse. We live in Skokie, Il, there are furniture stores like Smittes, Thomasville and lots of other places we could have bought these items. On the second time of delivery the same items, and after many trials with the same bed, they set the bed up and left. My family and i traveled out of the country in Dec 5th and came back in January 5th 2015. Sometimes in April, we started noticing that when you sit on the sofa, its not firm anymore, you have to place one or two of the pillows on the cushion before you sit, and when you sit on either one, you can feel something poking you, when we take it out, we noticed its the feather. meaning that the cushions is part foam and path feather, and inside all the pillows were feathers.

One Saturday during that week, as i was cleaning the girls room, the mattress in their room fell off the frame, without anybody there. When i called on their dad to check it out, we found that the two by four was very short. in june/july, i noticed that the foot bed frame in our room is also separating, i went back to school this summer, and it was a lots of work. i was unable to contact Haynes Furniture. But in the middle of my summer classes, i called and spoke with Ms Beverly Clancy in the customer service, and send her pictures of the cushions, pillows, and the bed, she said she will order new cushions and pillows but the beds is not a defect.

When i contacted BBB and customer service, they wanted me to contact either the supervisor or manager of that store to resolve the issue, if it is not resolved, i should contact them back. The instruction took me back to Ms Jessica Saucier, their account manager. I sent her all the photos, she send somebody by name Charles from US Quality furniture to my house on August 4th, the guy took pictures of both bed frames, and said for the other bed with split foot board frame, they should give us another bed frame, the second bed need two by four that is long enough. but he's not sure what the company would say or do.when i spoke to Ms Saucier, i told her that for the sofa, we want another sofa, she said the only thing they can do is order another cushions and pillows since we have had the items for almost a year. which is not true. For two bed frame, she said its not a defect.The first delivery was November 30th 2014, the second one was December 1st 2014.Sales order No was #560LGW232/#560LGW232A.we noticed this issues with all the items less than seven month, it not even a year old yet.

I'm going to forward all my correspondent emails with Ms Clancy and Ms Saucier to whoever is going to review this case, but is it fair to spend $5, 068 on items that lasted for six-seven months? we ran across this site in the process of filing with BBB, and decided to file another one while we proceed with our state/BBB complaints.my weight is 166lbs, my spouse is 132lbs, is it possible to break the foot board of the bed with those weight? What about the other bed with a short two by four? did we cut shrink that too? and how would somebody in their right mind would want to spend money on bed frame twice?

The Dump Services

I purchased a Birkline massage chair 2 years ago and it stopped working. I called to ask if they could recommend someone to repair the chair. It costs me over $2000 to purchase.. They said that Birkline was out of business and they could not do anything about it. She kept arguing that the chair is out of warranty. I knew that just wanted to find a repairman but this supervisor "Malita" was rude and looking to argue. I just didn't want to throw $2000 out the door. They told me if they sell a product and manufacturer goes out of business they can offer NO HELP.. Insane for a company of that size to not back merchandise they sell.

Please have her forward it to me if possible at todd@nxgenauto.com. I am sure I was a bit frustrated a swell. I spent over $2000 for a chair that I can only throw away. Like throwing money out the window. It is not her fault nor mine... But after calling several [places yesterday I found parts are not available any longer. I will also try and call her back as well..I had been on the phone with the retailer "The Dump" and they had already upset me before calling her. I am sure she was trying to help...I hope I did not cause her problems.. Thank you for the response.

Melita was not trying to be rude, but she did have to tell you that your piece is out of warranty with us, and that Berkline was not longer in business directly. We also do not work with any local repair service in your area and that is why she referred you to your local phone book, however, Melita has been digging into the issue further, and has found more information for you, but can not reach you. The Dump rude staff

The staff at dump furniture Irving is very rude. Some times Sales persons are very aggressively follows you. and they Treat people unrespectfully while other times Dump Furniture staff totally ignore. They Pick and Choose Customers to help and show furniture. In reality their furniture is way costly when compare to other furniture stores and quality is not that great.
Their offers are horrible. They say Free Shipping but we have to buy something of worth $3000 and that is ridiculous.

The store manager at the DUMP on 1345 w Elliot Rd Tempe AZ 85284 was rude to my wife and I. A no exchange policy was not communicated during our sale and one day after the purchase when we tried to just exchange for a bigger size our multiple phone messages were ignored. On Wednesday, November 23rd we went to the store to find him on his cell phone. He had no time for us and flat out refused to work with us in the exchange of our product for the right size.

The Dump bad services, awful production

I placed the order on the website of the company The Dump Oaks. The seller promised to deliver it within several days, but the delivery was delayed and no one warned me about it. They delivered completely different order and when I asked the driver to take it back, he refused and told me to wait the phone call from this company. Of course no one called me back, and I started to contact the customer services. They were useless and didn’t help me. These people are scammers and liars, who take money and provide nothing. Please post your comments about this company.

The Dump product not delivered

Entered the Dump Store in Oaks, PA to select items for purchase on January 26, 2014. Items were paid in full on the same date. Items included sofa, love seat, headboard, foot board, rails, mattress, box spring, dresser, and a rug. All items except for the rug (which was taken by myself on 01/26/14) were scheduled for delivery on February 4, 2014. On February 4, 2014, the delivery drivers arrived late. The headboard, foot board, and rails were brought into the home; however, the rails delivered were not correct. The delivery driver asked to see a picture of what the bedroom set should look like to verify that he had the incorrect pieces. I showed him a photo from the Dump website and it was clear the pieces did not match. He called the customer service number to notify them of the incorrect items. The customer service person on the line needed additional proof to verify the items did not match. I took photos of the items in my home and sent them to both the delivery driver and the customer service representative. She too verified the items did not match. She instructed me that someone from the store would give me a call the next day to supply me with my items and reschedule delivery. The drivers proceed to take the headboard, foot board, and rails back to the truck. I never received a call. I called the store on 02/07/14. I went back and forth between customer service and the store until I was notified of a re-delivery date of 02/14/2014 (19 days after original purchase). Of course delivery was rescheduled again due to the snow to Wednesday, February 19, 2014 (24 days after original purchase). On February 19, 2014, the delivery drivers did in fact arrive during their scheduled time frame. The headboard, foot board, and rails were not on the truck although the notation to ensure that all the pieces were to line up was on the order form. The delivery driver of course called his manager and this person had no idea what the problem was and stated that he would look into it and a manager would return my call later in the day. To date, no manager has reached out to me. In addition, that person requested that I have the delivery driver call customer service. The delivery driver and I completed a call to customer service rep who was very nasty and inconsiderate on the phone. She informed me that her computer records stated that the item was still "in transfer". She explained that she was sending information out and someone would return the call the following day to explain further. From the previous experience, I doubted that would happen and still hasn't. I called customer service myself later on in the day for additional information only to find that they were closed to the customer base on Wednesday's. I did not have the direct access number the delivery drivers use. I called customer service again today, Thursday, February 20, 2014. I was connected to someone and I immediately asked to speak with a manager. She obtained my information and placed me on hold while she found one. After 10 minutes of holding she stated a manager was still unavailable; however, she looked into my records and stated that the item is listed as in transfer but no one at customer service would be able to give me any information to the exact location of the item or a projected delivery date until the store is open on Friday. I stated that was unacceptable and she stated that she could not help me - I would have to wait. 25 days after purchase and paid in full - I still do not have items ordered nor can anyone give me any information about where the items are or an estimated delivery date. In addition, I cannot return the item or the Dump will charge me a restocking fee of 20% of the item cost. Overall, worse experience ever. Customer service is rude, unresponsive, and the delivery is horrible.

The Dump buyer beware

Don't expect good customer service at the Dump in Tempe. If you do, you will be disappointed. Their tag line should read--The Dump--we will mislead you every time to make a buck. Be sure you know what you are buying, because you basically sign away all your rights for a refund or exchange when you walk out the door. Some products are well made and high quality. Other products are poorly made and won't last. Kind of think about it as buying from a used care salesman and you will have your expectations set to match what will be your experience. It is clear they don't care about your loyalty. I will go back but only to make purchases where I am comfortable accepting less than perfection. This is the first time I have written a response online to a shopping experience, so you can tell I am pretty disappointed.

The Dump deceptive trade

high pressure sales, price of poor quality furniture is the same as the better quality furniture, (so you better know your furniutre or you will get ripped off). I could not find the discounts that were advrtised on TV. I bought a rug and was told i had 5 days to return it. And I did return it and was told there was a restocking fee of $50.00. no one told me of that when i bought it . I even called ahead prior to returning to the store to make sure that there would be no charges. then they told me i had the wrong credit card with me, but i knew it was the only one i had used.. i had to call my credit card company and dispute the charges. I will never go back . they are aweful to deal with . even when picking up the merchandise they would not let anyone sign but me, which was inconveient and they would not load till all the paper work was completed . which slowed us down .{ ps the price of the rug was way too much. thats why i returned it. after price comparing when i got home. Home depot was cheaper and closer to me .}

The Dump false adervtising

I heard a radio ad stating that the Dump would give out $100 gift cards to anyone who showed up to the store on Friday the 15th.The ad said there was no minimum purchase required, no strings attached. In fact, it gave the example of finding something for $100 and getting it for free!

On the day of the event I and several other people stood outside to get our gift cards. When the doors opened the sales staff did not know what we were talking about. They acted like they did not know a promotion was going on. Later on someone came over with some cards that said $100 off a $199 purchase. We told the person that was wrong and they told us this is the offer they were told to pass out. I talked to a manager who told me that the higher ups played a copy of the radio ad and it was for $100 off a $199 purchase. I asked the people had they heard the ad on the radio and they all said no. They had only heard it in the meeting.

When I arrived home I filed a complaint to the better business bureau in hopes of getting the $100 gift card that was offered in the advertisement. Instead I got this response:

I should get the $100 gift card with no minimum purchase because that is what The Dump offered. A company cannot offer something in an advertisement and then not provide it just because they don’t want to. There was not radio or public apology to consumers for the confusion. Instead they had their customer service representatives say that I was wrong and that no such ad existed.

I PURCHASE A ITWIM QUEEN SIZE MATTTRESS, MEMORY FOAM, THE COILS ARE COMMIMG THROUGH THE MATTRESS, I CALLED CUSTOMER SERVICE SEVERAL TIME, SPOKE TO CATHY STILL WAITING FOR THE PAPERWORK TO COME IN THE MAIL ALL SHE DOES IS EMAIL ME THE FORMS I CANNOT PRINT OUT..THIS IS BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE ..SO CALLED 10 YEAR WARRENTY...I GUES I WILL CALL NBC10 NEWS THEY MAY HELP I KEEP CALLING CUSTOMER SERVICE NO ONE IS ANSWERING.PURCHASE IN APRIL 2016 FELT THE COILS COMMING THROUGH IN AUGUST 2016 DONT BUY HERE POOR WORKMANSHIP

The Dump restocking fee on wrong order delivered

On 2/27/11 I purchased a table and chairs & arranged delivery for 3/6. Chairs were the wrong ones. Delivery man called customer service who said we could return the order without a restocking fee, or keep the table until we found out if the proper chairs were available.

I chose to return the whole order, and the delivery man confirmed with Courtney that there would be no restocking fee. He confirmed it for us on his paperwork, which we photocopied. After a week of going back and forth with C/S, not getting answers on availability etc. I was told they could deliver what they believed was the right product, but not during a delivery time acceptable to me. My husband even asked if they could guarantee it was the correct product and was told by Kim that they wouldn't guarantee anything for us.

I was told I was being charged a restocking fee if I didn't take it. The fee is for the table only, as the chairs were wrong. However, they won't break up the order and let me take the table. So, if it is one complete order, why was I charged a restocking fee? Customer Serivce was RUDE and would not budge. DO NOT SHOP THERE! THEY DON'T DESERVE OR APPRECIATE THE BUSINESS!

The Dump refund

Went to store, ordered a mattress, salesman upped the price at register by $100, says he quoted us on Queen, not King..price was still reasonable so I wrote a check for full amount, was to pick up mattress the following week when it was in stock.
Researched The Dump and the mattress manufacturer, Dormia on the net...too many negative comments, decided I didn't want to go through with this order, called the Dump's toll-free # very next day, Sunday. Was told we would receive our refund check in 7 -10 business days. Day 8, no check, called cust svc, they say the check was processed, give it the full 10 days. Day 10, no check, call cust svc, they tell me I have to speak to the store that I made the purchase, their business office would assist, spoke to business office same day, they said wait another day for check then call us back so we can call corporate for you. 2 days later, no check. Called cust svc again, they are corporate, they tell me check processed on 12/5, call business office in PA. No one will tell me if business office in PA has my check, or mailed my check or will hand me a check. Because they are only open 3 days a week, I now have to wait to the end of the week to even speak to the business office. I doubt they are going to have any more info. Many many complaints through the PA Better Business Bureau and the Houston TX BBB about this co. The largest # of complaints: refunds. I want the store to make me whole ASAP. I expect I am going to have to cause a ruckus at the store if I don't get satisfaction. This is absolutely ridiculous. Just because they are a national company with multiple locations DOES NOT mean they use good business practices.

The Dump rude & dishonest management + deceptive sale tactics

I spent almost 2 hours working out with sales person for my dining room furniture we liked. Decided to go ahead and place order for self pickup. Also made arrangement for truck for next day as it was bit late that evening and I was there in store for more than 3 hours with my 1-1/2month boy.  During all these process, sales person went back and forth to his manager 4 times but never told us that he is selling floor model at same price as new. He didn't even tell us also when he was charging my credit card. I happen to look at his computer screen and realize that its a floor model and I confronted him regarding the fact.

At that point he realized that I caught him selling me the floor model as brand new boxed item so he went back to his manager.After spending another 30 mins, he came back and told us that manager doesn't want to give any additional discount on this price as its already low price which you can find elsewhere.

I told him and his manager that I am not looking for floor model so forget about discount. At that point, manager told us that they didn't have new one for the particular item so take it or leave it. I was so furious that I have spent all this time and you have no honesty to disclose the fact that you have only floor model for this item even after you make transaction on my credit card neither you have listed it as "floor model" on that item, what a scam! At that point manager asked us to leave the store as he knew that keeping me there will worsen the situation and might effect the sale as people around us listening to our conversation.

I have never seen this kind of rude, dishonest and deceptive tactics any where else so far.

I can never trust these people and for sure, I'll never walk in to that store location again ever.

I went to the Dump to get a sectional for my living room with this promotional letter they had sent me saying no money down, no interest and no payments for 12 months, there was anywhere in the letter stating that it would all depend on someones credit score. I spent with the sales person about two hours after a long day at work supposedly their computers were down that day. Well I come back the next day to get my sectional, the computers were working fine the sales person prepares the paperwork and in no moment he is honest with me about not getting the no payments no interest for 12 months. I take the paperwork, and then my husband came to pick them up because that was our arrangement. Well 4 weeks came by and i receive a bill with interest and a payment due. I called the number on the bill and it was like a game from accounting to store to sales person. Well I decided to pay it with my credit card which had no interest for 1 year. Then I wrote the store manager a letter to state what had happened, how unhappy i was and how i felt that i was cheated and used. They decide to call me back and apologize for the so call miss understanding and offer to send me a gift card valued at $50 dollars which i never received. I do not recommend this place, they are dishonest, all they care is about making their commissions and quotes. I will never shop at this store ever again and won't recommend it to any friends nor family. Horrible experience I should have kept the business with my old furniture store.

The Dump bait and switch

Please be very cautious in dealing with The Dump furniture outlet.
If you are shopping at the Oaks, PA location, please avoid making your purchase from Gigi (Georgia), a sales associate. She plays the bait and switch game with your furniture purchase. She is quite willing to compromise customer service and quality. We purchased a piece of furniture that was to be shipped from the factory and she substituted a floor model without informing us or putting it in writing. The furniture wobbled and the delivery people left in a hurry to avoid having to return the furniture.

We have filed a dispute regarding payment for this piece of furnitue. We also have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. This Dump definitely is a store where you shop at your own risk. And if you do decide to purchase a piece of furniture from Gigi, you at least know the risk you are taking.

We purchased a adjustable bed from the Dump and when it was delivered there was no remote or cord. We get conflicting stories from the delivery guysand customer service who was extremely rude and rufused to identify himself.

My wife and I recently went to the Dump in Oaks, PA to purchase a King Mattress and Box Spring. After many days of going back and forth, we decided on a bed. We layed down the credit card and spent close to $1100.00 on a mattress, boxspring and bed frame. The sales accociate named Stacy (a man) said it would be ready to pick up on Saturday (7 days after purchase). On that following Friday ( 1day before pick up) Stacy called me to tell me our Mattress and boxspring was not on the truck. After complaining to him and the manager they gave me $80.00 back for the bed frame. We decided to wait another week for our mattress and boxspring. Again, on the following Friday (the new pick up date) i recieved another call from Stacy telling me that once again my purchase was not on the truck. Flipping out, my wife and I went to the store and started raising hell. After many hours of complaining, the manager claims that they have our mattress in back, but only 1 out of the 2 halves of the boxspring was with it. After much deliberation, and several refunds, we decided to still go with it. they even offered a new half boxspring as a loaner until ours came in. After leaving the store to get my father in laws pick up truck, we returned to the store to pick up our stuff. After getting the product on the truck (after checking serial #'s) my wife noticed something odd about the mattress. we went into the store to look at the floor model. It was a completely different mattress even though the numbers were the same. The dump claimed that they get a different pattern than the one on display, but it was the same mattress. after measuring the depts of both, there was almost a 1/2" difference. the pattern was different and the color was different. I flipped out and went out to the truck and litteraly started throwing the stuff off the back of the truck. I demanded a full refund and the manager was doing everything to keep me quiet. After the refund process, the manager told me not to be mad, but they have another mattress that she believed was supposed to be ours. I followed her back to the storage section of the store so she could show me the mattress. CAN YOU BELIEVE IT WAS THE EXACT SAME ONE THAT I JUST THREW OFF OF MY TRUCK. I only know this because of the rip on the packaging that I put there trying to compair serial numbers earlier before. What a bunch of idiots. The only good thing I have to say about my entire experiance at the Dump was the 2 men in the pick up area who were very nice and Steve, Probably one of the nicest sales people ever. Other than that, the rest can go to... Well, you get the point. DO NOT SHOP AT THE DUMP. THE PRICES MAY LOOK GOOD, BUT YOU ARE NOT GETTING WHAT YOU PAID FOR.

I purchased a dining room set from Dump in Oak, PA from Gigi also. They shipped the chairs but, were unable to find the table. When we called we kept getting the run around that the table was in inventory but, couldn't be found. We still do not have the original set, table was never found, Gigi would avoid us and our questions. We ended up ordering another set and still have not received it yet. However, the Dump called me to tell me my payment is late and would I like to make a payment? I explained, I hadn't received the merchandise yet and you want me to make a payment. There is something shady about the Dump's operation, customer service is zero and indifferent. Unless you can carry the furniture out the door the day you purchase, I would be leary of buying anything there.

The Dump service and sales

The dining set which I was going to purchase was on the floor. Another couple also were looking at the set. The salesman said they only had 2 sets on hand so I told him I would like to purchase it right then. He wrote up the order and told me it was in the warehouse. Then I picked out a coffee table and 2 end tables and purchased them as well.
The salesman did some computer searches and said the tables were also on hand in the warehouse.
He took us up to the front of the store and turned us over to the clerk who wrote up the final order.
The delivery was set for the following week on a weekday .
The store is only open Friday, Saturday and Sunday but the delivery was scheduled for mid week .. I was told I would receive a call confirming the delivery date.
The charge for the purchases appeared on my Visa account the Monday following the day I ordered.
When I had not received a confirmation call I thought I had better call them to be sure of the delivery being set up
I couldn't get anyone in the store since it was a week day and finally after searching on the web I found a customer service phone number.. I called and spoke to a person in another state. This person told me my furniture was on Back Order! When I said I was told it was in stock she said she didn't know anything about what the people in the store told customers. When I asked when it would be in stock she said they may not get more of that particular item at all but that she would have no idea when it would be there if they did get more. I told her to credit my account which she said she didn't have the authority to do but that she would email the store informing them of my complaints.
They had charged my account without even having the furniture and not only that the sales person assured me they had all of the pieces in the warehouse!
It took several days and several attempts to contact the people in the store where I purchased the furniture to get to talk to someone and then they told me I would have to talk to a manager ... there was no manager available... bottom line the only way I could get my money back was through my Visa. Thank heavens the Visa people removed the charge .. If I had used any other method of payment I would have been in big trouble.
What a "DUMP" it is... very poor and should not be allowed to do business ... they are scamming people.

the dump call to give me my window, no one on the another line, so tommorow i will call thier lousy customerservice & get the run a around again. Almost 2 month wait for the right box spring to be delivery, but they cash their check right away with no probler. i am disappoint in them never has a problem before. This will be the last time for me to buy anything their again.

The Dump defectife mattress

Dealing with the Dump has been nothing but a nightmare. I first contacted the Dump customer service about my mattress in January of 2010, only to be given the run around by the customer service department. I wrote letters and issued a complaint to the BBB and finally the store manager said we could exchange the less than a year old defective mattress for a new one. Well they only said that to shut us up and to get rid of the complaint with the BBB. The king size mattress has indentations(its sinking on the right and left side and the middle is as good as new) as to where me and my husband sleep and squeaks really loud when you get in and out of bed. You feel springs poking at you in your sleep. I have horrible back pain from this mattress and have been going to a chiropractor over it. When we purchased the mattress there was a 10 or 15 year warranty on the mattress. The bedding manager Beau, gave a hard time and showed us some other mattress that was not ours. He said well its the model number on the receipt. I said well that is not our mattress at all. I then had to go all the way back home, take pictures of the mattress and bring them back to show him. This store is nothing but a SCAM. We were then told by sales person Brad that he would order us a new mattress and he would call when it came in.. Well 3 weeks went by no one called. So I called them and they told me it was in and the deal was we had to transport our old mattress back and they would give us a new one. Well the joke was on us. My husband loaded the old one on top of the car and brought it all the way there and then they told him that there was dirt and urine stains on it? I never knew either of us to pee the bed and the dirt was the size of a dime and it was from loading it on the car. So they were going to try to re sale it this defective mattress. A used mattress being returned to the manufacture due to it being defective should not matter if it had a speck of dirt on it. The dirt occurred from the transportation from our house to the store. This store is horrible and sells used mattresses. Our mattress was probably used it makes me think. They have greatly inconvenienced my husband and I and now we are stuck with a horrible mattress to sleep on and basically threw 999.00 out the window.

please go to the federal trade commission and your attorney, s general office. submit copies of everthing to them and explain what happened to you.I have been scammed on a mattress that cost us $4400. and am going after them. they are robbing people and need to be stopped.

The Dump - bogus employee sales

I have worked there now 4 weeks as a sales person. The store is new to Tempe AZ since Jan 29th 2010. We were all told (over 100 sales people hired) that the salary was 10.00 per hour at 30 hours a week. (only open Fri, Sat and Sun) that the average person in the other stores made 80-100k. What a scam, and waste of time. Not to mention that it's totally not...

The Dump pick-up wait time

We were out shopping last weekend and bought an item that we were going to take home with us and found out that there was a 4-4.5 hour wait for pick-up! That is so ridiculous! The Dump should warn customers of a long wait time so that we don't waste our time shopping. We would have turned around and left had we known the wait time was so long. We have spent thousands of dollars here, but we won't ever come back. They should really hire some new people in the warehouse or get their act together if they want to keep their customers. Nobody wants to wait 4.5 hours just to pick-up a piece of furniture.

The Dump all around bad experience

We purchased a king mattress and box spring from The Dump on 11/14/2009. Paid for them, checked to make sure they were in stock and scheduled delivery for 11/21/2009. When we had not heard from them by 4 PM, I called to see where the delivery was. Customer service told me the matress was on back order and would not be delivered until after 11/25. A short time later, the delivery crew showed up with only the box springs! BIG PROBLEM! We had already disposed of our old mattress. When we went to the store to ask for a refund, we were asked to leave or they would call the police. Everyone was very rude and we got NO satisfaction. Following our visit, we made several phones calls to their customer service deptartment and were finally told they would refund our $1750.00 in 7-10 days, minus restocking and delivery charges and of course we had to return the box springs. We were warned about them by another major retailer, that they indeed used Bait and Switch or delivered sub-par materials but didn't believe it. Well, now we do!. We will take them to civil court and no doubt win but WHAT A HASSLE. Please, if you want quality and good customer support, don't go to The Dump, the name fits...

Same thing here in Irving Texas: bait-and-switch, lies, defective products, poor disclosure... and on and on. I wish that I had my money back. This was an EXPENSIVE lesson to learn... but we'll move on. Learn from this: stay AWAY FROM THE DUMP!

Absolutely agree! Similar bad experience..same day as a matter of fact..11/14/09 at the Dump in Oaks, PA. Purchased a $2, 800 mattress & box springs & expected delivery on 11/27. Paid $109 for delivery but no removal of old bedding was included! Day of delivery (after we had moved our old mattress) they called to reschedule saying the truck broke down. Later when I called customer service to complain I was told the mattress was on backorder. Lot of good that did us with our old mattress on the Living Room floor! After arguing with them for 10 minutes, they said they would do something they never do...give us a $100 store credit. Big deal...then one week later they are advertising free delivery and $100 store credit if you buy something that weekend!

Then the delivery was set for 12/5. Tried to cancel the order so we could go with someone else and were told we'd have to pay $374 for restocking fee. Decided to keep the order rather than give $374 away. Then when everything arrived on 12/5 the mattress was soaking wet and stained in one corner. Also one of the box springs. Sent the whole order back..totally frustrated!

So here we are with $2, 800 on my credit card for three weeks with no merchandise. Just called the credit card company to dispute the charges, which they will do with no interest charges, thankfully. Glad I used credit. I'm done with the Dump...never set foot in the place again. Like my wife's friend said "Why to you think they call it 'the dump' anyway?"
