This company website was found when i was searching for a (nikon) camera on line. I called the company and asked where they were located...answer was Brooklyn, New York...but i have never been able to find an address. The price for the camera was the lowest i found on line (too low i guess) and although i wanted NO accessories...the salesperson was tenacious in trying to get me to purchase accessories and an extended warranty, etc. As the conversation continued i began to feel the salesperson was a little (too slick and also prone to exaggeration) saying the battery that came with the camera was cheap and only lasted (20 minutes) whatever that means. Still i already had batteries and memory cards and a camera bag, etc...from my old nikon camera and i ONLY needed the camera. Finally i placed the order giving my amex info. After the conversation i has an uneasy feeling and searched this company on line and found NUMEROUS complaints all of which were recognizable based upon my conversation with this company. Also i never got an email to confirm my amex order, and amex received NO notification from this merchant of this transaction. I called back over a period of 4 days attempting to speak with the salesman or the customer service department about my concerns...each time i reached the SALES line and began to tell them of my concerns they hung up or abruptly transferred me to a customer service numer that never answered. It seemed my experience was the same as many who have posted complaints. I know the camera business is full of bait and switch and snake oil people and i am going to guess this is one of the professionals at tricking customers. Just a guess...but if i am correct then at least PART of their business name is correct. Caveat Emptor for sure...and WHERE is the attorney general...i will send a copy of this complaint and LINK to the NY State attorney general and the NYC dept. of consumer affairs and i advise everyone with similar experience to be heard. Amex already knows about this but a crafty merchant can go a long way before being cut off by its credit card providers.
