Here is the e-mail I sent to Tracfone:

After 3 attempts, I finally got through to a "service" rep. on 9/11/07. Could not hear her at all--too much background noise and she came through very quietly. This was the case on a friend's phone too. After 15 min on hold and 1 hr trying to hear the codes she was telling me to enter, the service rep told me my 824 minutes would transfer to my new phone within 15 minutes of my hanging up. If she could take care of it without my entering the codes, why did I spend 1 hr trying to hear her??--which was never successful. Codes were never accepted. Now I have lost the 824 min on my old phone and have 0 min on the new. THANKS FOR NOTHING! If I don't receive the minutes I paid for, I will pursue outside agencies (gov't, etc.) to advocate for me! Here is the "helpful" reply from Tracfone: In order to better assist you, please contact one of our customer care representatives at 1-800-867-7183. I actually tried again (crazy!!) and spent 45 min in a computer loop holding/transferring and trying to get a person. The computer told me my cell phone was activated--end of story as far as Tracfone is concerned. The problem is I have ZERO minutes and I paid for a years worth of service and I'm supposed to have 824 minutes!
