I tried to upload themes to my wordpress sites after paying $60 and it will not work. They have not responded to my queries and there is no contact number or instruction manual. They suck! Don't do it!

Customer service is as good as they reply in 24 hours, with No helpful update every time! The wp theme has a price tag of $1 but you have to be a "member" to purchase, meaning that you will pay $30 as membership/credit. I bought BlueLine which looks beautiful but does Not have the functionality you see in their demo. I asked for a refund, was politely told it is a bit late (they were right) and gave me a new version of the theme which is as bad as the old one. Don't be deceived by the looks of their themes.

I spent an hour choosing 4 templates only to find that the minimum purchase is $30, so I had to go back and go through all the templates again.

Then I discover that many of the templates I chose were missing from the shopping cart and had to do it again.

Then I thought I was making a purchase and found that the items were still in the cart. THERE IS NO instructions on buying from them. What I did was just put money into their site then I had to finish the purchase but tech support help because it is not intuitive.

Then the templates don';t work and I ask for my money back. Then after asking again they finally tell me that I have to unzip the files, then zip one of the folders and upload that one, not the original one.

That one uploaded and installed but I found that there were NO options available. I could not even change the header image. So the "100 configuration options" that they claim is available for all their templates is a LIE.

I credited my account with $30. This is basically $30 sunk cost. I downloaded a first template. I discovered it was not possible to customize the navigation bar. (On the other hand, any free wordpress theme would allow it). Then, i downloaded a second template. When i rolled over one button, i had white strip in the middle of my button. If you are a webmaster and if you look for wordpress templates don't go to templatesold.com. Avoid it at any price.

Simply stated: Templatesold.com offers what they cannot expertly service. Therefore, buyer-beware.

You will have success with your blog or website template purchased through Templatesold.com ONLY if that template (or "you") meet ALL of the following criteria:

1. You are proficient in setting up your template "right out of the box", and require no additional support regarding your template.

2. Your template is free of "bugs" and never requires additional technical support that you cannot personally provide.

3. Your website never generates an error message relative to your template that you cannot resolve yourself.

4. Your technical expertise is more competent than that of Templatesold "Support" (which by definition implies that you don't really need Templatesold Support, and would be very wise to avoid creating a Templatesold Support Ticket: do so at your own risk) .

5. Your time is not important to you, and wasting your time is a trivial matter.

6. You do not mind never having your Support Ticket addressed or "fixed" correctly the first time... or the second time... or maybe even the third time...or...worse.

7. You possess exceeding patience if a Support resolve breaks your website and Support hedges responsibility for this outcome.

8. You are a natural-born masochist.

In conclusion, if you meet ALL of the aforementioned criteria; you will have a thoroughly enjoyable experience with Templatesold.com.

I purchased a hosting account from BlueHost and in their control panel they recommended TemplateSold. I splurged $59 and signed up for a year.

Turns out, all the templates on the site, every single one of them, is sold old that they look they were designed for WordPress 2.x. Contrary to the promise, none of the templates support Custom Menus, Home Page Control Panel, Slideshow etc. Not one of the promise made on the templates page is delivered.

Even the versions available on the website are old. If you complaint, they send you an "Update". Which of course turns out to be equally non-functional.

Website development is not my core competency by any stretch. I should have read these reviews before forking over $60. Once I paid I attempted to download a template but apparently the website had logged me out. I tried to sign on again to no avail. Reset my password...tried again but still no access. The people who perpetuate this type of fraud are ###.

I tried purchasing templates from this site. Looks like a good deal, but so many problems with the purchasing and downloading. I did get very prompt help from customer support, but nothing they suggested worked. Complete waste of time for me.

The themes do not work. Period. And I have emailed through the contact form twice, no reply. DO NOT USE TEMPLATESOLD.COM.

I think the templates are plaguerized and taken from other sources and have not been updated for current versions of Wordpress. They mention mobile phones as a delivery, but there are no mobile enhancements. You have to be a coder to use these templates, because you have to make file changes in order to use them. Definitely not for novice users, and still a lot of work to integrate these templates into a site. Even the HTML versions are not valid code - they are just sliced up photoshop graphic files.

I wish I had seen these reviews before joining. I have downloaded several templates and starting to work with them. The Aqua theme has bugs...There is a default Home page on the nav. that is not linked to a home page. The attributes panel does not have a MyHome option as stated in the directions. The two tech support responses have been irrelevant to my problem. They now say I might have to do some back-end coding. The site is down as often as it is up. I'm still waiting to sign on to try to download a new version of the Aqua Theme...Very disappointing.

I just bought a template from the same guys templatesold.com and Brandy I have the same problem, their support is completely wack. They take long to respond and sometimes the emails just come back with promotions instead of solving the problem. I tried to get a refund but that has been in vain too. Still trying to figure out what the problem is.

Just wondering if any of these complaints were ever resolved? I am guessing the answer is no, since I recently encountered the same problem and am waiting for them to respond tot he problem of all the photos (from the demo, no less) simply appearing in a list rather than rotating. Additionally, the readme text file says to activate all the widgets prior to installing the template - the widgets are all outdated and broke the site. I have fixed everything except the rotating slide issue.

As for uploading themes - the read me file says to use ftp, not the uploader module inside wordpress.

I purchased the HighWood WordPress template from TemplateSOLD.com and installed it as directed by the instructions. However, when the installation was complete the template was completely off. The javascript slideshow would not rotate the photos, it simply listed them in an awkward list. It showed the images incorrect sizes and none of the margins on the CSS file lined up. The display template on their website was 100% different than the one purchased. When I requested that they look at it, they told me to consult my web designer. When I gave them step-by-step directions of how I installed it they shrugged me off and told me again to go to my web designer. This template has improper coding, and I can prove it.

I had to change the Style Sheet:
Line 51: #nav1 ul { margin:0; padding:155px 0 0 0;}
Line 52: #nav1 ul.sf-menu li { position:relative; float:left; line-height:90px; padding:100 1px 0 0; text-align:left; }
Line 77: #columns { margin:0 auto; padding:25px 0 0 0; width:970px; }
Line 215: #slider { width:970px; padding:0; margin:0px auto 9px; background:url(images/slider_bg.png) bottom center no-repeat; height:300px }

The blog didn't even post blogs! It only posted excerpts! To fix this, I had changed to Single Post file:
Line 34: div class="post-content"
Line 35: ?php the_content(); ?

The images on the template were not sized properly, I had to change the Slide_Block file to show a single image with proper size:
Line 5: img src="/images/simple_img_1.jpg" alt="screen 1" border="0"

I had a couple questions for these people BEFORE I purchased and they responded to me immediately. I then purchased the download package for $60 and activated my account. I tried to download a template but it would always want to charge me. I sent them a few e-mails and then suddenly no response. Their system is down more than it is up as well. I will ask for a credit to my card and see what happens, but I am assuming I will have to deal with the credit card company to have the charges reversed. I think these people make money on the folks that never take the time to follow up and get their money back. All the years that I have been alive and I still have not learned that if it sounds too good to be true, it isn't true. This Company is a SCAM.

Regarding templatesold.com: actually, the charge was pending on my credit card account for a few days, then went away (should I thank them? ha-ha, I wish I knew how, they never respond to messages). Perhaps there is no need to contact PayPal, as the charge authorization is not yet the charge itself. Check your account. It'd probably disappear after a few days. Not that it makes any sense, but at least I must give them a credit for not charging me for a failed download. I stopped all attempts to log-in, it's a waste of time. Also, they do PPC advertising. Can you guys believe it? - they are paying for clicks which don't bring any business, since their system is not working. Never seen anything of the sort. I wonder if something happened to these guys. On a humanitarian note, I'd call the police so that they check if there is anyone alive there. But again, I have no idea who or where they are.

I have had the same experience with templatesold.com. I cannot log in with my username and password. When I try to contact them, they have not responded. I have filed a complaint via PayPal, since the $60 has been paid. I am also due a $10 refund because of the special they were running. There is also no phone number. It's been 3 days, and my themes cannot be downloaded. I hope PayPal can resolve this issue.

I've had the same issue with templatesold.com - cannot download my WordPress theme, cannot even log into my member area because it doesn't recognize my login info which had been created shortly before that. When I try to contact them, the system doesn't recognize my email address, either. But apparently they do have my email, because I received payment confirmation - they didn't have a problem with that! Quite a way to do business.
