I came across the website www. Tel2name.com. I decided to check this website and indicated the phone number of my friend from alaska. It provided info, but it was inaccurate. It was easy to use, but it was total fake. I really don’t advise other people to use. The info is fault, so you won’t get any info about the person, you search for. As well as post comments about this company, ‘coz it might be very useful for other people.

I checked some of the phone numbers I know and Tel2name gave false names for the numbers. The numbers are supposed to be in my area yet every mame given sounded very foreign or made up. This is a scam.

I was looking for the names of people who were texting me and it was annoying. I put in a couple of the numbers on the group text and I got names and addresses. However when I put my own cell phone number in, it gave the name of someone I have never heard of and an address in a nearby city. Do not use this to find anybody.

Yes, I checked the names and numbers of friends and relatives in several exchanges in our area of rural/small towns. All of the numbers were there but the names were incorrect - and none of the people I saw on the list actually live here! They take random numbers, add a street name that is legitimately in the town/area, and add a name not associated with the number. I wonder if the names are real people. There are a lot of names that I would consider "foreign" (acknowledging that many people in the US have names that might be considered foreign), and those names would be very rare in SW Indiana.

I am worried that these listings are being used for some nefarious purpose!

This free service is worthless. As others have complained, the numbers do not match the names or addresses. Even though this is a free "service", doesn't the scam fit the category of fraud? It should be removed.

This is obviously a randomly generated list. I'm from Winchester, NH (603-239-xxxx) which has a population of around 1700, but there are exactly 10, 000 names since all numbers are filled in. Although the streets names are legal, the names are totally random generated, and the numbers don't correspond to the correct streets. I know many of the people in the town and nobody is listed, even those who have been there for decades. Also, Hinsdale, NH has some 603-239-xxxx numbers but the town doesn't show up in the list. There is a small ad on the site for Spokeo where you can do a reverse phone lookup for 95 cents.

Don’t waste your time on the website www.tel2name.com. I tried to search on the website, but the website showed error all the time. I tried different methods of the search, but it was completely useless. Don’ waste time, ‘coz you will get nothing from them and waste your time. Also post comments and reviews about this website, ‘coz it might be very helpful.

This site purports to list virtually every number sorted by area code, exchange. However, not a single listing is correct. I don't see how this could be considered a scam, since the site has no ads, requests no info, charges nothing... but it is certainly a magnificent waste of time, more for the person who put the site together than for the people who use it one time and quickly learn it has absolutely no value. If you want reverse lookups, you'll have to pay for them.

I did the same, and actually search for my number, and numbers of people I knew, and not one of the numbers I searched had the name of the actually owner of the number. Not sure what their agenda is, but the tel2name.com data is absolute crap.
