TAG Heuer tag heuer indy 500 formula 1

Bought a Tag Quartz Indy 500 back in 2008. Since then, it has cost as much in maintenance as the actual watch itself. It is on batter #6 I'm the 9 years I have owned it and barely touch the chronograph unless it's to show someone. After getting one of the battery replacements done at Ben Bridge jewelers (sent to tag) in San Diego while I was stationed out there, the watch comes back and within about 6 months the silver sub-dials had tarnished over because the watch was not properly sealed. I take it to a Jared when I moved to Jacksonville for the military and send it in for an estimate. Tag calls me and tells me it will run approximately 450$ even though they were the ones who damaged it. Then when I receive it back, the chronograph come internally cracked and will not calibrate properly. When I call Tags headquarters, not only would they accept responsibility for any do the damage that has been done to this watch, but they deny ever having it sent to them for service. I'm in the market for a new watch since mine is now in-operable. I would love for this company to give me one good reason to buy another one of their products after this horrendous customer service experience with them.

TAG Heuer tag heuer formula 1 watch

I bought a Tag Formula 1 watch from Macey's 34th street NY back in Sept 2016 whilst on honeymoon. I travelled back to the UK with the watch and the receipt of purchase. Yesterday I noticed that the small dial on the side of the watch which controls the hour setting was missing. There was no reason for it to have gone as nothing unusual had happened that could effect the watch. The watch other than this defect is in perfect condition. Now the watch does not work at all. I called Macey's and they told me that without a filled out warranty doc they are unable to take any responsibility despite the fact that I have a damaged watch and a valid receipt of purchase. it is a treasured possession as it is a honeymoon present. I did not think about paperwork and warranty's whilst on honeymoon and traveling internationally and to be honest you would not expect such a quality brand to malfunction in this way after just 4 months. I am so disapointed with the situation I find myself in. Please can you advise on how this can be rectified?

TAG Heuer bad quality and customer service

I am a loyal customer of Tag Heuer for 30 years. Bought an automatic TH in April 2016 and it stop working after 8 months. I demanded a replacement and my request was granted. After 1 week, the new replacement watch stop working. Wrote to Switzerland customer service but no reply. The local office has been giving excuses. I have lodged a complaint with the local authorities. I am seeking a full refund. Enough of TH. There must be some problems with the quality. Even Switzerland office is not replying my emails. It's a nightmare. Even a China make toy watch I bought for my niece lasted 1 year.

If Switzerland being Tag Heuer's head office do not reply and act when a complaint is lodged, it tells a lot of about the company.

TAG Heuer watch

My wife purchased a tag for me for our anniversary about 5 yrs ago. a month ago it stopped. I sent it to tag. After 3 weeks they got back to me to let me know if would be 700 dollars to fix it. ITS A 2600 dollar watch and they want 700 to fix the crown (somehow they say it's stripped) and to polish the bezel. Dont plan to ever buy another one. it will sit in the closet from now on...

TAG Heuer a watch purchase and repair complaint

I purchased a brand new watch. The battery stopped after about a week. I took it back to the jewellers and they sent it to Tag Heuer. They changed the battery under warranty.
The battery then leaked and they denied ever having it before and said that they dont use that brand of battery. I then paid for the repair.
I know it when to Tag Heuer as it was mailed back from them directly in a Tag Heuer padded service case.

TAG Heuer twin time carrera

My wife bought a watch from a Houston TAG Heuer Outlet in Houston Address 29300 Heampstead Road Suite 406 Cypress TX 77433 at a price of $2475.00 on 6/5/14. It was the worst purchase in our life.

From the get go the watch needed winding and frequently stopped. So we went back to the shop and encouraged my wife to return it. The salesman explained that it has to be wound 30 times as it did not have reserve power. Got frustrated with the match and id not wear it for over 2 months. My wife was sad as it was a gift for our wedding anniversary. So I tried to use it again with out any success. Finally we took it back and the sales man changed it for another one on 9/8/14. The watch not sure if it was the same and again it stopped even after wearing it all night. We took it to a neighborhood watch which services TAG Heuer charged us $50 for shipping. It came back from the factory and there was no change. Finally we took it back to the outlet it was send back to the factory for fixing this time they said it was magnetized. The factory gave a 2 year guarantee and said it is fixed.
I tried to wear the watch again but again it stops, for no reason the time is off several hours despite following all instruction the factory representative told me to do. I have given up hope and asked my wife to trash it finally. She would not to do so and states will continue fighting for her rights as a customer.
My suggestion to all will be DO NOT BUY TAG HAUER BRAND WATCH and definitely not from an outlet

TAG Heuer tag heuer watch

I had bought a tag heuer watch and was told that once you wear it and it starts to work it would not need to be winded for 48 hrs. Even though it is worn during the day its stops working during the night. We tried various options and then started to wind it each day even though we had been told it is not required. The wind bolt came off and we got it repaired and we mentioned the problem of winding it and the shop keeper assured us it is working fine, it is 3 months after getting it back and it is not working properly again. It stops working every night even though it is worn during the day! This is not acceptable for the amount paid for the watch and despite bringing it to the service center notice, we would like to complain about this.

I have also the same problem - bought the watch 2 months back - they are now telling me they would send it to service center - which would take another 25 days to repair!

TAG Heuer carrera 17 - cav511a - service scam

I have been an owner of TAG for 28 years, and own 4 wonderful watches. My first, 3000 Professional bought in Geneva, then another Professional 200 meters 10 years later, Link 200 meters, and then I spoiled myself to a Carrera 17 CAV511A - Serial No. 1745439. Awesome watch, love every bit of it until moisture got into it while showering at a Spa. I immediately bring the watch to service, and was quoted £400 in Cardiff. The watch is sent in, and the quotation suddenly reaches £1, 050 - for a full service! Upon enquiring why the sudden jump, they apparently said that TAG Heuer has determined it needs replacing of the face, which also then in turn requires to replace the hands "just in case" that the enamel corrodes or deteriorates, and cannot warranty the watch. I mean - all that stainless steel and it will corrode after a day or two of moisture without any evidence of any? Secondly - the outfit in Cardiff clearly saw the moisture, and were none the wiser on the quotation regarding the face/hands. So it clearly shows TAG Heuer Service is hiding behind its retailer to try to upsell service to their customers. No evidence of any damage to the face was determined. No training or communication to set expectations given a moisture problem was made at the Cardiff retailer. I mean, do you honestly believe that just because we can afford your product, that you can then situate yourself by holding the watch hostage and leaving it in disrepair unless we agree to your terms without cause? I seriously hope someone contacts me since I have lived and enjoyed your product for 28 years - and I have a good 28 more years left in me to remind TAG Heuer that this customer experience is UNACCEPTABLE! Kind regards.

TAG Heuer indy 500

I purchased the Indy 500 two weeks ago from Jareds Jewerly I was told it had the luminous hands and dial that statement was true the problem is it Only luminates for 20 mins called Customer service was told that was true that all tag luminous only light up for 15 mins you have to set the watch under a light in order to get it to luminate then you only can see it for 15mins paid $1500 dollars for this do recommend buying anything made by tag of Buying anything from Jareds their employes have no idea about the product they are selling I will sell this watch and purchase a Luminox which you can see the time all night long.

Recently sent an out-of-warranty Formula 1 to NJ for repair thinking it would be a seamless & quick transaction; boy was I WRONG; it took 2 months to get Maintenance 1 done. The TAG customer service website and communication was pathetic. Don't waste your time! Take it to a registered jeweler and have them repair it. The entire transaction cost $123 USD. Think about this if you're considering investing in a TAG.

TAG Heuer watches

Yes My husband and I both have Tag's. Never again would I waste money. Both watches cost over $3, 000. My husbands had to go back for a battery. Yes it was done quickly. BUT we had to return it as the watch had not been properly sealed and as we dive and it is a DIVE watch to 300m ( or so it says on the information and dial) it got water in it. According to Tag it was our fault as apparently my husband must not have done up the screw properly!He hadn't touched the screw/winder. They fixed it for free as they should have but it did take some whinging from me. Mine has gone back for its second battery replacement. I was quoted over the phone $130. Sent it off, hadn't heard form them for a week so rang them and then they sent me an email to say the quote was now $280 as there was something causing it to go flat. The last battery was changed 2 yrs ago and to me that is a fair time for a battery. The watch has now been gone for 5-6 weeks and it looks like I wont get it back for another 2 weeks! Appalling service. The tracking system they gave me doesn't work so you have to ring up to find out about it! Used to have a cheap watch 'Seiko I think- no problem just it ran out of life after 10 yrs . Think I will buy this again as TAG is just not 'cutting the mustard ' in customer service or after care service. Buy another brand would create a lot less stress!

TAG Heuer scratches and damages on my watch

Yesterday I received the watch back from the Tag Heuer Service.
I can't believe that after waiting for 30 days I have to find out that any Shopping Mall Mr Quick Fix would have done a better job in terms of opening and closing my timepiece. This is very frustrating.

The rear case was flawless when I sent it in. But not only there it is full of scratches now, I have also additional scratches on the housing and the bracelet, that have not been there before.

They really must have treated my watch like the last dirt.
I never expected this from Tag Heuer!

Although after my complaint they sent me a FedEx label I decided not to send the watch back in because I lost all my confidence in them.
Most of the scratches are so deep, that they couldn't be polished anyway.
I lost all the joy I had with this timepiece and I am really sad.

UPDATE Sept. 28 2015: The Store Manager of the shop where I purchased the watch forwarded my issue to the CEO of TAG HEUER USA and he personally took care o get my issue resolved. So although the Servicer was messing up, the Company does not let their clients down.

After saw lot of horrible reviews online about the poor service from the Tag Heuer US service center in NJ like the one mentioned here, I am very hesitate to send my Tag to here for a maintenance service. Just wondering if we have any alternative option in the US.

TAG Heuer fraud

Mayor's Jeweler's at Dadeland Mall has very rude staff and they don't return phone calls.
After having a Tag watch repaired there 2 times prior with no problems, the 3rd repair was a nightmare. They took the watch for a band repair in August 2014 and not until November when I called for status did they tell me that Tag would not repair the watch since there wasn't a serial number on the watch. They advised the watch was not purchased from an authorized dealer. This watch was authentic and was purchased from one of the largest retailers of Tag's in Dubai. I have the original paperwork including serial number which matched the # on the back of the watch prior to them removing that number or swapping the watch. After another 7 months later, Mayor's did nothing. They failed to acknowledge that they have one or more employees who are committing fraud. They tell you they are sending the watch to manufacturer for repair and actually sending to "their" repair facility.
Be careful if you have Mayor's repair any precious piece of jewelry or watch. They have employees who will swap out your authentic pieces (probably even your diamonds) and return a piece that is really not yours.

TAG Heuer failing watches

Never buy a Tag Heuer watch.
I bought one, than bought a second one for my sons 18th then again for my second sons 18th.
When each watch reached approx 2 yrs old and were returned for a battery replacement EACH ONE was found to need a new movement.! These are $2k+ watches!
Each time Tag Heuer presented me with bills of around $700 as each watch was out of warranty, by almost 4 months in the oldest one.
I refused to pay every time.
These are not fit for purpose.

TAG Heuer too many malfunctioning

I have two Tag Heuer watches. Each of them stopped working. I mailed them to the company for repair and it costs $400 each! Two months later they both stopped working. I sent one back and it was supposedly repaired. It died three months later. I sent it again and they asked $435 to repair it.
I just dumped them both.
Buyer beware. the quality of Tag Heuer is way below any cheap watch and the cost of lousy repair exceeds that many cheap but reliable watches. There is no point paing over $2, 000 for an unreliable watch that has to be repaired continuously for over $400 every round.

However the customer service of the attendant/sales person at phoenix mall Bangalore was so pathetic... No respect to customers. That we had to move out the shop...
So, we moved out and decided to go into fossil...

If you buy a Tag Heuer watch, just understant that you will pay for the watch again over the years with over the top maintenance expenses. It costs $155 just to change the battery. They won't tell you this until you send them the watch.
Very expensive to buy, even more expensive to own.

TAG Heuer Black coating comes off so easily

My parents purchased this as a graduation watch for me £4, 450 ( approx US$ 6, 800) within the first month the strap stitching started to come undone but critically every time I wore this beautiful watch and it came into contact with a desk or anything firm the black would come off only pin head marks on the edges of the case but after a while too many marks and envisaging what it would look like in 10 years I started not to wear it for fear of ruining it ( I wore it at work behind a desk) TAG say its all accidental and not guaranteed, they seem to suggest I wear a cover over it ! Anyone else on this planet experienced this problem ? I would never buy a TAG or recommend a TAG to anyone. I use to think of them as prestige. What a joke. When my parents purchased it they were told by the assistant that it was black titanium carbide, anyone know what that means ?

TAG Heuer watch out

Watch out for tagheuer watches- i got one two years age- it keeps stopping -- i send it back seven times, they say nothing is wrong and and send me directions on how to wind it. The store in king of prussia pa is very understanding but they have to send the watch to a place in nj that is not really tag heuer . They tried to send it to a real tag hewer place, but it ended up in nj again

TAG Heuer poor service

I sent my wrist watch for service to the above authorised dealer on 18 April 2014 for what i thought would be a battery change. To my horror, the dealer called up on 22 April saying that the watch needed complete service with new movement. This was especially disconcerting as the watch had had a complete service with new movement from the same service center less than two years ago. I cannot believe that Tag Heuer would service watches with the expectation that they would need complete service every 1.5 years or so. Very, very disappointed...cannot make up my mind whether i am more unhappy with the dealer or with Tag Heuer!

TAG Heuer poor customer service and quality

1. It has been just one year since I bought my Aquaracer Caliber 5 watch. The security clip has come off loose. I find the quality of the watch not worth the price. Many years ago, I bought a replica Omega Sea master for a fraction of the price, and that seems to be still going strong without ever having any issues.

2. I have got my watch fixed from Tag, and have been trying to reach out to them and have left numerous messages, but the response has been pathetic. None of my calls have been returned. Appalled at the level of service from a company that sells premium products...I will never buy a Tag again...

I will never buy a Tag again, paid $5000 for the watch and it keeps loosing time. I am now waiting 14 weeks and still have not received my watch or any feedback. I am very disappointed, I bought a $1000 watch now and it is a much better, hassle free watch.
