I began my employment with Sun in May of 2008 and at that time I had an awesome supervisor. My supervisor left the company after a month and I received a new supervisor. From the start I was wardened to watch my new supervisor and to make sure that I got everything in writing from him. I had corrected my supervisor due to wrong information and direction that he had given me. I was not rude, but I didn't want to do the wrong thing and loose my job. From that day forward nothing that I did was right by him, he made false statements about me and made a racist comment to me. I called HR so many times and told them about the comment as well as things that he told me and wanted me to do that was against policy. They did nothing to him and he finally got his way and fired me. I lost my job because of false statements and a racist comment, how is that right. The company knew about all of this but they chose to stand behind him rather than me. I thought that Sun Communities was a good company and I was happy to be a part of them, I was wrong.

Discrimination against a mentally handicapped applicant. Refusal to do business because of insufficient rental history. Completely okay leaving three children homeless in order to house one person in a 4 bedroom home who isn’t handicapped.

Can someone please explain to me why the camp store, food counter and swimming pool will not be open until Memorial Day? Our season starts April 1st. Why do we not have the pool and the store etc... Shouldn't it be open when the season starts? It's like paying for two month of nothing... Please explain, thanks!

Weeds have taken over dogpark and park outside of dog park. Coyotes hiding in tall grass. Tons of mosquitos and bugs. Used to look beautiful when Stu was here. Never get answers just run around where our money is going.

This has been an ongoing issue with this Sun Communities park for the last 35 months; however, the attached pictures are an accurate assessment of the dire situation as on 5.14.2019.

My husband and I lived in Woodland Park Estates in Eugene, Oregon from October 2013 until October 2018 when we sold our home to move to Bend. Our experience with the management at Woodland Park had been exceptional. The manager was extremely prompt in returning calls and even better at responding via email. Her responses were always favorable and professional. I typically find in the property management industry (which has been my employment for the past 25+ years), is that those that complain so loud and rudely have been caught and corrected for doing things they shouldn't be doing and going against the rules & regulations of a community that of which they signed when they moved in. Follow the rules and you will most likely be left alone. Our experience with Sun Communities was very favorable.

Sun Communities in Anderson appears to engage in harassment . We did have an African American girl in the office for a short time . I overhead people coming out of the office using racial slurs because she has to deal with people complaining about being written up for violations of community compliance. I have not seen her. Makes you wonder if she was removed or put in a different position for racial reasons. I suppose one can never know. I live right behind the office so I hear almost everything people say coming out of the office. I it so sad this day in age these things happen.

My wife and I bought our home in march 2010. we own it free and clear. when we moved in our lot rent was $455.00 per month as a lease wit a 5% increase every year. the increase is always on the last years amount so it increase actually more than 5% over a period of time. our current lot rent is now $711.00 per month. if I live long enough it will be over a $1000.00 in 5 more years. this company is driving us out of our home with no consideration of a price freeze at a point where you have to give up your home due to not being able to afford the rent. a free house for sun communities.

Park place in sebastian florida is a 55+ community with about 600 homes that charges $722/mo lot rent. this lot rent is something you pay regularly for the community facilities and amenities, after purchasing the manufactured home on the lot owned by sun communities. for the past year the community has been undergoing renovations that have significantly reduced the facilities/amenities provide to the point of having zero facilities/amenities available yet we are still forced to pay the full lot rent! for the months of june, july, and part of august we had zero facilities available, no pool during the hottest florida months. the management said they they didn't want to shut down the pool in the winter because the "snow birds" would complain. there is very little consideration of the year-round residents regarding most matters. I did some homework and found that under florida statutes there is a provision for implementing a reduced monthly lot rent commensurate with the reduction in facilities/amenities provided by the mobile home park owner e. g. sun communities. when I brought this up to park management I was told that I had better keep paying the full lot rent or eviction will ensue! what a rip off! when I contacted sun communities corporate office I was told that the no one was available to address my concern but that I could leave a message and someone would get back to me... no one contacted me. sun communities is just another corporation taking advantage of the physically and financially frailest demographic! the corporations can blatantly violate contracts, disregard state statutes, and rip off vulnerable populations with no negative repercussions while while the individual who is being violated has little recourse. this is truly criminal activity. the majority of residents here do not have the physical energy, financial resources, or legal acumen necessary to exercise any recourse that may be available. i'm looking to get out from under the thumb of the sun communities corporation and strongly advise anyone exploring 55+ communities to steer clear of this corporation.

I live in sun homes community and have many problems with them. this last time the acussed me of not paying my rent I proved to them that I did. they are always complaining on my house can't have anything but curtains up no blankets to keep out the lights. my husband works thirds but everyone around me has blankets or sheets why not get the others too. I had damage to my roof I put up a blue tarp they told me to take it down um no thanks I don't want more damage to my house. I live in coopersville mi and they are only interested in money also they will get the rent when I get it back in the mail we can't afford to pay it twice like they want. I am also disabled on limited income they know a lot of what they want done I can't do.

In october of 2015 we purchased a lovely home in a sun community in coarsegold california. we rue the day we made that purchase. since that time we have endured two rent increases which total $65.00 per month, this is price gouging at its finest. we have a manager who has never managed a manufactured home community and does not have a clue how to interact with the residents. we recently complained about our neighbor at the back of our home not using there storage shed for storage, rather storing christmas decor behind their shed so we can look at it from our home office. we were told that there is no rule that keeps residents from storing their crap in their back yard, yet last year the former manager inspected each space for compliance, what the heck was she looking for? we are sick and tired of sun communities and are about to sell our home just to get away from them. our concern is that the homes in this park which should be selling for a minimum of $100, 000.00 and up, are going for $75, 000 or less. these are beautiful homes all are made of hardy board and most have garages made of the same material. the setting is gorgeous, however sun communities is doing there best to lower the standards of this community, raise rents without providing documentation as to why they are being raised and doing their best make this a dumpy trailer park no one wants to live in.

Dont ever move into any sun community unless your only other option is death, stubbletrees [protected] comment 100% incorrect, I was lied to about price, came in to sign lease and was told, oh its 25$ a month more then you were told because of shed, oops our bad, then its gone downhill from there, my neighbors all quickly warned me how fake management is and harass many, so from day one I kept yard clean, grass mowed and rent always paid on time for 4 years, my reward was many petty/ridiculous written complaints from my garden hose not being wrapped up properly, to the beach towel illegally hanging on my porch for a couple hours, or 2 of my cars tires were 3 inches off the driveway, but the worst, I recieved a 24 tow notice for having an inoperable vehicle because a tire on one of my cars went flat,, unbelievable, I put air in the tire drove it to the office and asked them if it looked inoperable, what if I hadnt noticed stupid tow notice within 24 hrs? be pre warned, management pretends to be nice,, they are not, they will throw you and your family into the streets in a heartbeat.

mine is not a comp;aint I just what to thank u for all the work u r doing to our park it was much need, nt. There has been quite a few through from some of the pepole here but they r the one that dont what to listern or follow the rules of the park. We have good mangement and office personal right now compare to what we did have they r helping to make this park better the ones complainting r the ones who use to work in the office or their family member got kicked out for non payment of rent and mangerment try to work with them on that . U have speeders here that dont think the 10 mph apply to them. Now the manger and office personal r talking about leaven cuz of what these few peploe r doing and sayin and I for one am tried of it if anyone should go it should be the ones causing the problems and we would have a much better place to live and not have to deal with them being here if they r so unhappy. I just whated to let u know the mangerment is good here and dont what to lose them they r doing a great job. spanish main rv fla

Absolute worst experience with apple carr, sun communities, after the receptionist left (she was amazing) we received an eviction notice after being told, via email, that if we resigned our lease for a second year that we would receive three months rent free as the "rent special" was overlooked when we originally moved in and that they left us literally homeless for two months prior to us (me and my daughter) due to "unexpected delays" in the previous tenants moving out and wanted to "make things right", which at the time sounded very generous. However, unknown to me... After we resigned our lease and the awesome receptionist quit, the generous gift was surprisingly was forgotten, and I received a notice of eviction so I tried calling the office (nobody answers now that there is no receptionist) and no answer, I emailed the manager and never received a response, which I assumed due her being overwhelmed that it was taken care of... Approx a week later I received a copy of the previous eviction notice taped on my door with a handwritten note stating we had to vacate by noon the following day. Now I was panicked and angry... I called the corporate office and left several voice messages that afternoon, again no response, so I emailed them and never heard a word from them. Approx 2 weeks later, my daughter hears a banging on the door and was scared so she was hesitant to go to the door and then there were people peering in the windows and the banging continued so she finally went to the door and was told she had to leave the house immediately as they were locking us out. She called me absolutely in hysterics and was trying to explain to me what was going on so rushed home and tried calling the office the entire way home and once again... No answer. I go into the office and the manager tells me that we had plenty of time to get our stuff out and that we were being evicted unless we came up with two months rent and court costs... Which apparently court costs are $1500.00 because thats what was added onto the amount of the rent. And we had to come up with money within 2 hrs but she would be so kind as to open the house back up until 5pm so we could get our stuff out... The entire house in two hours. And I again asked about the email I had received a year or so prior stating that if we resigned we would have 3 months rent free, she just went on and on about how they never do such a thing and I was pretty much crazy. So after I tried begging, borrowing, pawning and every other attempt to get the money and was unable to get it in the form of a money order or cashiers check before 5. So back and forth conversations, asking if we could have until the morning to get the money and another copy of the "gift" email and I was told absolutely not and they would be there at 5 to lock the doors... Well 5 rolled around and nobody showed up until 6pm with a police officer who stated that we had 12 days to vacate the home and that was very generous of them to give us that much time so we were to leave immediately and they house would be unlocked from 8am until 5pm the next day in order for us to get our stuff out if the rent wasnt paid. Now, we were told specifically that if we paid the money the next day we would be all set to stay... The next day I had the money, called the office to make sure someone was there when I brought it in and was then told that following us leaving the manager talked with the corporate office and they decided that because we had been evicted the payment would not be accepted and we just needed to be out within two hours but she was going to again be generous and let us have until 4:30 to get what we could out and the rest would be on the lawn the next day and if there was anything left by the time we got there we could get it then. Mind you I explained we had absolutely nowhere to go and that everyones story had changed continuously through this process... The person who talked my daughter and locked the house up stated we owed approx $2000 less than what I was told when I talked to the manager and that we had five days to get our things out of the house, we were told several times by the manager and the police officer that if the payment was made the following day we would be able to stay.. (not that I was very happy about ever living there again but like I stated above, we had nowhere to go and was in a bind), that story changed and so we scrambled to get our stuff out and ended up being told we had a half hour to get our stuff on the lawn because the house was being locked up. Just a few added notes... We had my 2yr old grandson that week and we had to wake him up in order to leave when the police officer showed up and because we had nowhere to sleep that night we had to take him to his moms, he was crying and screaming that he didnt want to go bye bye and we had to fight to get him into his carseat all while the manager, maintenance guy and police officer all watched and giggled to each other. I was told that there isn't any laws in place stating that they cannot force us out when we have a toddler living in the home or that they needed to give us any notice to vacate the home and that they were being more than accommodating by giving us 8 hrs, on a weekday with one truck to move out. This company is an absolute joke and let so many violations take place and never do anything about it, but as soon as it comes to money.. Boy they are right on it. The manager tried on two other occasions to get "extra" money out of me because of an oversight or whatever excuse she decided to come up with and usually if I contacted the corporate office they would take care of the situation. Not this time, they were pushing me purchase the home after the first year lease was up and when I didnt fill out there paperwork to do that they were doing whatever they could to get us out... It worked. We are again homeless and desperately looking for a new home. They are all about the money and it is so apparent in this place. It is a clean park and has several newer homes with nice lawns so I was hoping for a good experience after being desperate for a place to get into quickly after a very painful divorce of 23 yrs of marriage that came as a complete to utter shock to the entire family so I thought we would give it a try even though it was very expensive. The first month, there was a stabbing 2 houses down from us (the office had no knowledge of this when questioned), homes and car continuously being broken into, speeding vehicles, drug dealings, domestic violence with police involved several times, and many other things that are against the "rules" but again when questioning the office by neighbors (as I always kept to myself if it didnt directly involve me.. Mind my own business) the office had no knowledge of any of this. I was told on several occasions and have emails from the manager that we were great tenants and how they enjoyed having us staying there... That didnt last long after not buying their home. I was called and emailed several times six months prior to the lease being up asking if we were planning to renew or our best option would be to purchase the home... I never responded as I didnt even think I needed to worry about it at that time. So anyway, as you can tell it has been a horrific experience with that place and I will have a great time trying to get a lease anywhere else as I have an eviction on file. Be warned... Stay away from sun communities they are greedy and dont care about their tenants at all. Thank you for listening to my story and I am sure some will judge me but there is way more to this story than I care to share at this time.

Worthington arms was sold out by sun homes to a property company called
Umh properties, inc. we as tenants were never informed of this sale. this new lease they are inforcing requires us to purchase $100, 000 worth of homeowners insurance. that's double what the price of my house is. I own my own house through a private broker, that installed the mobile home back in 2007 when we moved to worthington arms, in lewis center, ohio. thanks to sun homes not informing the lot of us residents, that the park was under new management, we now have new rules which are ridiculous. I will be doing a huge amount of research in reference to the bi-laws of owning my own home and having wa dictating to me how much insurance I have. I currently have the state required minimum, through state farm. even my agent says it's ridiculous. I also, am seeking legal counsel because wa wants us to have them phyiscally added to the policy. y'all can shove it, not happening! I will be seeking legal advise, and going to see what recourse we can take to file a class action law suit against sun homes, in southfield michigan, for not letting us know that wa was being purchased by another company! they are raising the rates so high here, that people can't afford to stay. i'm pretty sure, that's not right either, by law. worthington arms, is the worst trailer park, owned previously by sun homes. sunhomes, mark my words, you haven't heard the last from me!

Racist!... the management at the community in houston, tx have different rules for different races. they are more welcoming if you are hispanic and will bend over backwards for you. if you are white, they are cautious when deealing with you. oh, and if you are black, you are treated like a second class citizen. you will be exposed... I may have to call ice to do a sweep of your area...

You wish that was the case, is all. this was my experience. I have nothing to lie about, I have a great job and am completely competent. I pay my rent.in my case with them, in which I can only speak for my experience with sun homes, they are 100% incompetent. this was our first experience living in a trailer park, and never again will we, this atmosphere, and obviously property management, (which was turned over three times in one year) is not for us, which is why we moved. I have all documents that support what I have said, is true. I feel very fortunate to now have an actual house, with a finished basement so we can feel safe when there are storms, and a huge fenced in yard for my children to play. i'm wonderfully happy though, that you enjoy living in your trailer park, best of luck to you!

I know that the sun homes property I am at is not like any of the above complaints. the people posting complaints on this board, I am sure, did break a rule, committed a violation, or has been continuously late with rent, to the point that management had to intervene. you will find the majority of people that complain about anything are angry because they did not get away with something. the park I live in is well maintained, well managed and fair. I have spoken with our maintance, community manager and the regional vice president, all great caring people. I would be no where else.

I have to agree with Stubbytree. I live in the Saralakes Community in Sarasota FL. Our district manager Brandon returns calls within hours. He listens and works with us to solve problems if they arise. I've had some disagreements with my community in the past and he has listened and worked with me to help resolve problems that he feels warrants it. Our community is well maintained and overall, any complaints I've had are minor in nature. Perhaps our community is just lucky to have Brandon as a district manager and not all district managers are as easy to work with. I wouldn't know but no major complaints have gone unattended here.

You are not being honest. I can just feel it. We own a home and violate nothing. We have watched managers change every few months, employees that are considerate, that do build relationships instead of combat zones are either pushed out by the attrition method or they are fired. There is no private security, drivers haul [censored] through the park narrowly missing children and pets, daily, all day, all night. Loud parties, guns, drunks and general ghetto like attitudes, and as long as you're a minority in our park, you can do no wrong. Sun Communities does raise lot rent yearly, so no one made that up or is having that happen to them because of a "violation." Renters have it the worst. Because we own our home and I am a bulldog when it comes to ignorant, incompetent, law breaking management, we don't get it so bad. The new "manager" is a rabid, ignorant, defensive, abusive nutjob. I watched how she treated a new office worker for all of about 5 minutes and knew she was a sociopath at best. Sun Communities thinks they need to hire ex cons or your old high school bully. Why? The manager they pushed out was caring and sweet, that does not mean that Sun Communities as a business entity is caring and sweet. If you have speed limit signs, enforce those as vehemently as the yard mowing or the parking. No one dies if yards aren't mowed. I have been here for less than two years, haven't had an accident since I had my first car 30 years ago...some dick doing about 40 in our 15mph streets smashed into my truck, drunk, a loser and no insurance. Nearly 6, 000 bux in damage. That's pretty telling about the parks, the people and the quality of "rule enforcement", so sure if you like anarchy and being extorted at every turn. Sun Communities is the place for you. You better pray you don't have a problem because Sun does not give a rat's [censored] about you.

We have lived in sun home community in newport, mi do not live in elizabeth woods! please be warned! this company is completely and I mean completely incompetent. my family and I have been served eviction summons and notices every month for 6 months because they have claimed they "lost" or "applied our rent to another account on accident" (-I was told this verbatim) luckily I keep all rent receipts, and also had to provide them with the original mo receipts (which I made copies of, because these people obviously cannot be trusted with, well, anything!) now, they are saying I am responsible in paying over 500 dollars in court fees because of their incompetence? not only has this been happening to us, but the company has turned over three times to new management in the year, yes year we have lived in this community! they also want to charge you 65 dollars if the lawn is not cut in time or to "their standards"? my husband used to own his own landscaping company a few years before his accident, and I will not destroy my lawnmower to cut wet grass after 3 days of rain... also, what you have been reading about them unfairly raising rent every year is true, this is why we are moving asap. I am not paying 1200/month for a manufactured home with an incompetent management company. I can rent an actual house with a basement and full backyard for that amount, and have actual privacy where my home is not so close to the neighbors there is no privacy in my home or outside... I am so surprised there has not been some form of a class-action lawsuit against this company! they should not even be allowed to run/manage or own anything. my 6 yr old could probably do a better job then them, seriously. this company is a joke. do not bother contacting their head office in southgate, they are of no help to you either. you will be better off moving and living somewhere else, trust me.

We've been living in rudgate manor of sterling heights for almost three years now, last year sun homes took over management. it has been a nightmare! we have asked several times to have things repaired, that they are under contract for, and to this day remain undone. every time they cut our grass they cover our cars in debris and leave tire marks in our yard. last week they moved a new home home in. maintenance decided they needed to use our parking spots to work on the new home across the street, when my husband came home he simply pointed to the spot, as if to say "can you move please?". maintenance shouted at him saying "find somewhere else to park!" when we called the park they said there's nothing we can do, just wait until there done. (mind you we pay monthly for two parking spaces, one home, and one shed. also there are two empty parking spaces at the vacant home for them to use.) this week snow came for the first time, and after our recent experience with maintenance suddenly our street was not plowed, just every other street. the prospective home buyer came to see the new home and got stuck! after some warm weather and another freeze its now a sheet of ice almost a foot thick with pocket holes. and any action on management to fix any of this? no. we will not be with any sun home community ever agian!

Stayed in a sun homes community in davison, mi back in 2007 up until 2010. m my husband list his job in 2009 but quickly received unemployment which was more than enough to cover our $575 rent payments. we noticed that two days before thanksgiving, several neighbors were moving out. now typically this wouldn't be alarming except, there were more than four families. well the day before thanksgiving, my husband gets an eviction notice that stating that we had to move as well because we were one of many who had at least one court eviction for the entire year and that anyone with one or more had to leave. even though that happened at the beginning of 2009 and even though we paid over what was owed a week later, we had to move by the 1st of december 2009; really? I was in the middle of cooking, family were there and I was 7 1/2 months pregnant with my fifth baby. we tried asking if we could begin the purchase process and they vehemently denied us. we had no money saved because we paid our bills (them included), and weren't behind at all. after two months of moving out (slept in our van for a couple of nights, hotel, and finally found suffer home), we receive a bill for $2, 400+ which is now on my husbands credit. they first said early lease termination by tenant, than it was, we were behind several months even though we had rent receipts to prove it, unfortunately no lawyer to sue. truth is, even if we could've sued, the lawyer retainer fee and other fees would have been more than that bill. sad that they get away with these bad business practices and easily screw with people's livelihood.

I currently live in a Lansing Sun Community. I can say that I have only ever been treated with respect. Their repairs, me needing a screen door because the wind blew it off, may take a week or so to get done, but not the major issues. My pipes recently froze over the weekend and they had a contractor out there within twenty minutes. When my furnace quit working in December, they installed a completely new one. Our roads are plowed, speeding is only an issue at the entrances and management/employees are courteous.

Sun communities is bad. sycamore village in mason was a nice clean place to live. now looks like the slums of detroit. and the manager said she has told them to clean up there sites but they wont do it. and that is all she can do. really. the snow plowing is so bad you can not see to pull out on the main street to leave the park. and there has been a number of accidents one next to the school bus stop. when kid were waiting for the bus. was told not going to spend any more money on salt or snow removal this year. if you think sun communities. is thinking of your safety and not your money think again. and the staff here drives up and down the roads all day and passes trash in the road and will not pick it up. I an talking like where accidents have happened in the park because of the the snow piles. and when the maintains man just sits in the office all day because his back hurts him. money well spent? and if you move in this park you better keep your things locked up now. before sun communities took over it seemed to a lot safer to a lot of us. we will start attach photos from now on. thanks and good luck.

Sun communities is bad - cider mill village in middleville, mi do not live there. I put money into my house to make it much better than when I moved in. nice paint, plants in the yard and still received notices written notices for stupid stuff. then when they sent my evection notice for no good reason other then I would not "cash in" my lease credits that they asked about a month before receiving my notice 30 days before evection and 12 days after it was signed. then I leave patch all holes repaint any wall that had to repaired and the only damage found on my move out damage to siding and skirting. I receive a bill for damage to the skirting, they had to patch holes - which there were none and had to paint the walls - get fricken real - these people are crooks. they also sent me a bill for living there for two days after the signed move out check. very dishonest manager there lie to your face - must
be why he works for a company like this cuz no one would hire him.

While I did the suncommunities on line bs app for the office coordinator position at their traverse city mi place, kings court, then came an offer for a telephone interview, and another of their bs craptest online about "hitting other people!" cannot even post the words I said, because this site is big brother! (that was over at indeed.com and I just c&pd over here!)

Alrighty then, the stupid dumb zombie non person had the nerve to not call me at the appointed time, waited for 2 hours, then e-mailed her. she said we could re-schedule for the next day, being yesterday. waited again, but meanwhile, I researched everything I could about the company and the people who live there. adds up to a big zero plus zero. this is all over the united states...

non person zombie had the balls to tell me when I finally called, "we are looking at other applicants, I just cut the beaatch off, and more bull crap, and I just said" fa*& ya"! enough of your f (*&^% around. number one, who in the he@ dares to to waste your time and effort to even get hired by these looney tunes! look her up, she has only been there 3 months at the home corporate (southfield mi) office, jesus jimmy crack corn,, why could you not tell me that it was a robot you were looking for, and furthermore, eff you! reviews I read from all over the country, then talked to some people in the community itself, here in tc mi and the overall response was"you do not want to work here, or for the matter, any of their lots!" most are trying to get out! but of course, if you do not have a land property, what will you do?

Enough said! just look at the high turnover of employment, and this gals name is on linked in, google sun communities (southfield mi) and you will find it! as the new hr generalist! girl don even know how to use the telephone, skype, etc...

Number 2, I am so mad that I wasted my time to even entertain the idea of working for this band of hooligans! ugh> and now this review site is giving me a headache, saying I have inappropriate language... duh! maybe I should spell everything correct! hah! so what is it, report your experience or not! the other site I was on, where I found the job to begin with was indeed.com, hustlers, hucksters, whatever yah wanna call it... this is my take, imo only, but have read enough to know, freaking effin idiots... they are worse than anyone, and I will make an effort to check out the ceo, got his name too!

Thanks to all here for providing real consumer info!

I have been harassed, subjected to loud music, intimidated, lied to, lied about, accused of stalking, had a ppo taken out against me (by the person doing the harassing, intimidating, playing the loud music), and threatened (by a sun community lawyer). why? because I dared to complain to the park manager, the regional manager, the vice president of sales, and lastly, the ceo of sun communities. all I can say is, if you are having problems, start your paper trail! take pictures and get video evidence whenever possible (check your state's penal code before proceeding). if you make any complaint be sure it is in written form and sent via "certified mail" with a "return receipt" so you can prove they actually got it. unless you have actually been present when the park manager has done or said something wrong, do not repeat what you are told without using the term "allegedly". good luck to everyone. we are out of here!

Sun communities are the worst! they are no better no matter what state they are in! they raise the rent every year. from the home office down to the management in the parks they do not care. they do not do what they say they are going to do. background checks - there is a sex offender in our park! they don't do anything about people that drive fast through here either. do like the others before don't rent a lot or buy, lease place from and don't bring your house in either!

Highpoint in Delaware is no better. We have a manager who doesn't care about anything but her pay check! Like all others rent is raise each year and the services go down. Thank God we had a mild winter because NO ONE here knows how to plow! They can't even cut the grass or pick up leaves! And try to get a answer to a question is like bashing your head against the wall unless you want a lie. They know they have you by the short hairs because it cost so much to have a home moved. So take this as a warning. DO NOT RENT or BUY from Sun Communities! They promise you the world and give you incentives to move in, but then they hit you with the big bag and you realize your living in the roach motel. You check in but you can't check out!

Sheffield estates in auburn hills mi is a terrible place to live. sun communities raises the rent every year, unfair and too many unnecessary rule violations are given out. do park managers have to write out so many to make corporate happy? the roads are not well plowed ever since sun communities took over. a lot of homes for sale and/ or moved out in the past few years. residents are getting sick of this park and learning the grass is really greener on the other side!

I agree with the complaints about sun communities. they are horrible and don't care about anyone! they have nothing better to do than raise the rent every year in a bad economy. I want them to show the residents the justification behind the rent increase. do something about the people driving too fast in the park. (this includes the mail person delivery drivers even the manager and snow plow driver!)
