In May of 2015, I hired Stop IRS to represent me in an IRS Tax Audit because I had done some mistakes in my 2012, 2013, and 2014 and the IRS has selected me for an audit for those years. I used the H&R Block software and I did my taxes on my own for those years. I had a couple of mistakes claiming my Army National Guard expenses and miles since my military unit was 526 miles away from home. I live in Douglas, AZ and my military unit was in San Diego, CA. I did this commute every month because I was not able to transfer to the Arizona Army National Guard because I did not have the qualifications to transfer and I had to attend a specialized military occupation school in order to transfer to another state. So when I received the letter from the IRS stating that I was going to be audited, I got worried because I have heard bad stories about IRS Audits and people always say to get legal representation before you go to an IRS Audit. Since, I have never been audited, I started worrying. I decided to hired StopIRSDebt because the company came on my google search. When I first hired StopIRSDebt, I spoke to a Steven and I told him about my problem with the IRS. Steven informed me that I should not have a problem because my tax problem with the IRS was simple. I asked Steven if I should contact H&R Block so they could represent me during my tax audit since I used their tax software. Steven advised me that H&R Block would not do anything for me at my tax audit. Steven stated that I needed legal representation and amending my tax returns would not be a good idea. Steven stated that StopIRS would represent me at my tax audit and would take care of me for a retainer fee of $3900. Steven also stated that my case should take approximately 90 days to get resolve with the IRS. So I decided to pay the $3900 retainer fee that they asked for (what a big mistake). I asked to submit pay stubs from my Army National Guard Unit and from my full time employment with the United States Border Patrol, also they requested my bill expenses and credit card expenses statements, in addition, I submitted military orders, statements from my military unit stating that I do not get pay for travel expenses, lodging or meals for the first and last day of travel, and drill dates for each year I attended training with the San Diego, CA Army Unit. I submitted the IRS Letters to Stop IRS indicating the time and date of my tax audit and the name of my IRS Tax Auditor. My Stop IRS case manager Kathryn who refused to give her last name stated that they would represent me on approximately June 2015 on the date and time of my tax audit with the IRS. However, on the date of my tax audit, I received a call from my tax IRS auditor asking me why I was not present for my tax audit. I told my tax auditor that I had sought legal representation through a tax resolution company and they had told me that they would represent me during my tax audit. I told my tax auditor that I would get back to her as soon as I spoke with Stop IRS. I immediately contacted Stop IRS Debt and asked them why they were not at my tax audit and Kathryn and Steven stated that they will contact my tax auditor for an explanation and that they had made a mistake. At around this time I was pretty disappointed with Stop IRS Debt, but decided to give them the benefit of the doubt. Kathryn assured me that they were working on my case and that my IRS Tax audit reconsideration was going well. Months later, however, I kept getting letters from the IRS stating that I owed almost 30k and the IRS statement letters stated that nothing had been done to credit me for the expenses I incurred while being a member of the army National Guard drilling in San Diego, CA and traveling 526 miles one way. I contacted Stop IRS and spoke with Jade and told me that they were still working on my tax audit reconsideration and that was going to take 12 to 16 weeks to process. So I decided to call the IRS and they told me that Stop IRS had done nothing on my behalf. When I called Stop IRS, I asked for a supervisor but Jade my new case manager state that she was a supervisor and that they were working on my tax audit reconsideration. I asked to speak to my attorney working my case but Jade stated that that was not necessary since the attorney was working my case. Months went by and I kept receiving letters from the IRS stating that they were going to garnish my assets and wages. In May of this present year, I decided to call Stop IRS again, this time I called Stop IRS 1800 number and asked for the vice president, the operator provided me with the telephone number for the StopIRSDebt Vice President Jacob Miler so I contacted him. During my conversation with Jacob Miller he stated that he was well aware of my case and that he knew that numerous mistakes were done and that he was going to make sure my case was taken care so he referred me to a Todd Lewis and said he had two attorneys working my case and stated he was going to take care of my case from now on. Jacob Miller stated that I had to submit a travel mile log and expenses receipts, I told him that I had already submitted paper work with all the travel expenses I incurred for those years and asking for mile travel logs was kind of late. It was like starting from the beginning. On approximately July 5, 2016, I said to Mr. Miller that according to the IRS nothing had been done for over a year and that I wanted a full refund since nothing was done about my case dealing with the IRS. Jacob Miller then stated that he was not going to refund me my $3900dls. I told him that I was going to file a claim with the Better Business Bureau. A couple days’ later Mr. Miller contacted me and stated that he would refund me $500dls but I had to sign a contract stating I would not file a claim with the Better Business Bureau or any other Agency. I declined his offer and stated that I would file with the Better Business Bureau. Mr. Miller then stated that he then would not refund me any money. Mr. Miller company Stop IRS Debt lied to me many times and never provided any effective services on my behalf. Their deceitful practices are very questionable and require attention so they can be stop scamming people out of their money. I have saved all the email they wrote to me as evidence of their deceitful practices.

I had the EXACT SAME PROBLEM - to the tune of $6400! They are crooks, scammers and I've hired a lawyer. They closed my account without even telling me unless I paid them more money, They must be stopped. If you go on glass door and read comments from former employees, it all makes sense. They lie, use fake names, the whole deal. Horrible people...horrible company,
