State Farm storm coverage

I just saw an add about State Farm insurance company helping folks after storm.
That is far from truth, a tree came down on my house, took 2 floors and hale of deck during storm.
Person assign to my case contacted me 3 month later, he would not return my calls. emails, text.
He finally contacted me after 3 month and telling me he can not help and pay me for what it cost me to fx the damage since it has already completed..
He expected me to live is a house with hole in the roof for 3 month. My agent could not do anything, so she kept playing golf :-((

The only paid for 60% of what I spent..
Do not be fool by all these ads, after 16 years i cancelled them. They could not care a bit in regard to my actuation.
Change them, do not join them.

State Farm no help, no support. so stay away from them

Don’t deal with the company www.statefarm.com. When I faced some problems and decided to contact the company, the rep spoke in rude manner with me. He was unprofessional, arrogant and rude to me. It was nightmare to communicate with this person. I only wasted time when I called them, but the rep only diddle-daddle and hasn’t provided any support.

State Farm unresponsive to claim

Diary of a State Farm vehicle damage claim:

Friday, 3/20/15 – I called State Farm claims and told them that I hit a rock on the underside of my 2012 Prius and had it hauled to Precision Toyota service department. They took my info and emailed the claim number.

Tuesday, 3/24/15 -- Kent from State farm called and said that he wanted to come to the house to see the car. I told him about the 3/20/15 report and that the car is at Precision Toyota in Tucson. He said there was a miscommunication. He apologized and said that he would look at the car at Precision tomorrow.

Friday, 3/27/15 – Precision Toyota called to say that State Farm has not authorized repairs. One week after the claim and counting.

Monday, 3/30/15 – Email to State Farm, “This claim was filed 10 days ago. As of Friday, Precision Toyota had not started repairs on the Prius because, they say, State farm has not authorized repairs. This is unacceptable. Do I have to sue State Farm to get my car fixed?”
3/31/15 I received no response from State Farm to my email. I tried to call 3 times and was put on a long hold. I tried to check the status of the claim at the State farm website and got a message saying, “Technical Error. We are unable to process your registration request at this time. The system is experiencing technical difficulties. Please try again later.”
Unlike a good neighbor, as far as I can tell State Far is not there.

State Farm poor service

I have a complaint in regard to my agent Ed Melendez and his assistant, Mary Ellen, in the Dunedin, FL area. I signed up with State Farm/ Mr. Melendez approximately one year ago. On Feb 1, I bought a 2005 Audi in which I was financing. I didn't find out about these problems until I was in an accident, Feb 16, 2015, but when I called State Farm to report the accident I was informed that I did not have collision, roadside service, or car rental. The other driver was charged with careless driving and was found 100% at fault, but they refused to fix my car until they received a police report. Realizing it was their/Ed Melendez' s mistake that collision was not put on the policy, State Farm went ahead and paid to have the car repaired. I was inconvenienced by being without a car for two and half weeks and having to pay a $500.00 deductible even though it was not my fault. I have since hired an attorney to handle the case against the other party. Meanwhile my agent has not handled my case appropriately and mistakes have been made and are continuing to be made on my account, everything from mailing important info to the wrong address to lack of coverage. I have called and emailed them and have not received any reply. I am going to be changing insurance companies on the first of April because of the treatment by State Farm. I just want to bring this treatment to your attention.

State Farm non payment of valid claim

To all current State Farm Policy Holders and those considering switching to State Farm Insurance: PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING. This is a true account of what transpired starting on October 20, 2014 on Shoreline Blvd. Corpus Christi, Texas in the early evening. My son who is a member of our Armed Forces was driving back to base when the right front tire of his car a Veloster Turbo struck a construction pot hole approx. 18 inches deep that was not marked without any warning signs being posted. The car bottomed out so hard that the tire left marks inside the wheel well. The oil pan and cars framework had scar marks and dents. Also the right side windshield cracked. Further damage included the bottom of the turbo inter-cooler being bent and the the bottom of the fender housing hade road gravel jammed into it. What we did not know at the time was that the turbo waste gate assy had pulled loose. After this road collision the car went into limp mode and my son was able to get back to base only 5 miles away. The next day he started the car and was on his way to the Hyundai dealership to have the car checked. He drove approx. 1 mile from base at about 30 miles an hour when the wastegate assy came loose and one of it's hoses fell on the spinning CV axle and was ripped off the car. This caused the turbo to boost out of control and before he could shut the car down it blew a connecting rod thru the engine block. He than proceeded to contact State Farm and was instructed to take it to one of their Gold service repair centers. For 2 weeks we waited for the engine to be replaced and thought everything was fine. On the third week I receive a call from the repair shop saying that State Farm had cancelled the claim and would not pay for repairs. We waited another week while the car was being put back together. When we then received the Hyundai back it had not been put back together properly. State Farm then informed me that it was not their problem. The reason they gave for refusing the claim is that they said they had never seen this kind of damage before and said it was not possible to have happened. We took the vehicle to a second ASE certified repair shop for an estimate at our expense. Their report stated the pothole caused all the damage to the engine. We submitted this report along with pictures of the damage and a download from the cars ECU which showed turbo wastegate failure. It took them 3 more weeks to deny the claim a second time for the same reasons. The cost to replace the engine with a used one parts and labor is $6800.00 plus the cost of a new windshield. Also we have had to pay approx. $650.00 for the use of a rental car for my son. Is this the way that State Farm treats it's customers that serve to protect their freedom to do do business?

State Farm unethical, negligent, thief

This review is for Henry Rodriguez himself and how he runs his business. Note there are a several wonderful, caring, honest, trustworthy agents on staff. Henry is not one of them.

Henry is a THIEF. Plain and simple. He is unethical and dedicates his time solely to how deeply he can hurt his clients and just how badly he can trick them. Henry has zero integrity. He is a liar, a ###, the lowest of the low. His intelligence is questionable...has anyone else noticed the typos and grammatical errors in his "About Us" or his idiotic scripted responses to complaints on this Yelp page?!

Henry personally stole $1274.44 from me on 1/6. Perhaps he wanted to get himself a new big screen TV in time for the Super Bowl. I'm not sure why he felt that he could get away with stealing from me. Newsflash Henry, you can't! After 4 weeks of patiently waiting for Henry to do the right thing and return the money, I am now forced to take this into my own hands. On 1/30 I spent the majority of the afternoon on the phone in vain with Henry, supervisors and representatives from State Farm's billing department. I was insisting that my money be returned immediately, that very same day, so that I could avoid going into overdraft, feed my family and pay rent this weekend. I was told repeatedly that this could not happen. I had received a refund check for $177.62 the week prior and was told that additional refund checks had been mailed out to me on Monday. It was Friday and I had yet to receive anything. I was basically being told to just shut up and wait for the remaining $1098.

Henry called me back around 4:00 pm, without any of the supervisors on the line this time. He first congratulated me on putting up such a good fight, which I found odd. I shouldn't have to fight in the first place and what, he thought I would just sit back and forget about the $1098 he still owed me?! He then proceeded to make a deal with me: I would wait until my mail was delivered the following morning, just to be sure that no refund check arrived. If by noon on Saturday I still hadn't received anything, Henry would personally go to the bank and deposit $1098 into my account, so that I could pay my bills this weekend. Henry insisted that I had to keep this to myself, that he would get fired if anyone found out about the deal we were making. Henry made a big show of how much he cares and how badly he was trying to help me, he gave me his personal cell phone number and told me to text and call him if I ever need anything. We agreed that I would contact him at noon the following day if the check didn't arrive and he needed to go to the bank. I am a woman of my word and I expected Henry to be a man of his word. BIG MISTAKE.

I received nothing in the mail this morning and immediately called Henry at 12:03 to let him know. He didn't pick up. I texted him to let him know. He didn't answer. I tried calling again, again his cell went to voice mail. I then called his office and was told he doesn't work Saturdays. I called his cell repeatedly for an hour. I could tell he was there because, perfect example of the [censored] he is, half the time he would reject the call after a few rings, instead of letting it ring all the way to voice mail.

At this point I decided to dial 1-800-STATE FARM from my home phone to report Henry. Upon discovering that one of their agents has owed me over $1, 000 for 4 weeks, the supervisor I spoke with was immediately shocked and apologized profusely on behalf of State Farm. When I continued my story, explaining how the situation had been mishandled to date and mentioning the lack of integrity, lying and shady "deals" being made the supervisor was thoroughly appalled and disgusted. He was taking notes to file a complaint on my behalf just as Henry called my cell phone at 1:37 pm. I told the supervisor that it was Henry and I wanted to answer. I could barely even say "hello", Henry immediately started screaming at me and accusing me of harassing him, informing me that he no longer wanted to deal with me and that I needed to approach State Farm customer service directly from now on. I let Henry know that he was on speaker phone and that the State Farm supervisor who I was currently speaking with and who would be filing the complaint against him could hear everything he was saying. A few seconds of silence and...click. Henry hung up, like the coward he is.

Henry has breached State Farm code of conduct and his actions are unforgivable. He should have his license and franchise privileges revoked, and should be in no way, shape or form associated with an honest and legitimate company like State Farm. State Farm's code of conduct states: "At State Farm, not only do we do what is legal, but we also do what is right." THERE IS NOTHING LEGAL NOR RIGHT ABOUT HENRY AND THE WAY HE CONDUCTS BUSINESS.

This agent is unethical. He has allowed his workers to do Cheek swabs (DNA) to get Life Insurance Policies. In other words, people are getting life insurance policies without the swabbing of their own cheek and then the signatures are being forged. In addition, he also uses a grades template to change grades for good student discounts. If you kids worked hard in school to receive good grades, they are getting the same discount as kid that will potentially not graduate due to poor grades. He simply changes the grades with a template. He is both a liar and a thief. He continues to be under investigation for all of the unethical things he has done in that office. ZERO INTEGRITY! State Farm knows all this and this agent still works for them. Shame on State Farm!

State Farm lies

On 12-13-14 my vehicle was hit and totaled by a State Farm insured. I called them on 12-15-14 and was told they needed my vehicle taken to shop which we did. The shop then assessed the damage and said it was a complete loss. I called State Farm again and was given a settlement figure which I accepted. The next day State Farm sent IAA out of Kentucky to pick up my vehicle. This was approximately 2 weeks after accident. Not sure b/c I wasn't notified. I went to get my tags and it was gone. I have called and talked to everyone except the claims rep who never answers her calls or returns them. I have been told that the PO Box was not a valid address and it was returned (my power bill goes there with no problem) So I gave them my second home address and they said it was being sent out that day, it never came. Then I was told on 1-20-15 that it was overnighted on the 16th. Long night b/c it still didn't come and when I called on 1-21-15 that it was sent out today, when I got mad I was told let me call you back after I make sure, then when I got the call it is being sent out today. So who knows? The point of this is that I have been without 4x4 since 12-13-14. They have my car but not the title

State Farm policy handling

I was involved in a car crash that was determined to be the other person's fault. State Farm sent me a letter accusing me. Turned out she was under insured.. Now or the last there years the have hired a lawyer to do everything to keep from paying out. But State Farm dose not watch there lawyers. The are out to line there own pockets. The deposition that they do they ask all sorts of questions that do not have anything to do with the crash. They want to know where you were born, were you went to school, who you dated . It seems to me all the info the lawyer is collecting is just lining her pockets. This is pretty pathetic After all this is settled they probably will raise my rates. I will go some where else. I have been with the for 30 years. They sure treat the own clients like s****.

My car was stolen, they receoved the car, however, all my personal items in the car was stolen and State Farm is refusing to pay me for them. This is the worse insurance company ever. Since when do they not pay for your personal property?

They said I have to file it with my homeowners insurance, how about I don't own a home to have that type of insurance.

I am an insurance broker and the information described is correct with State Farm or any other insurance company, you should read your policy for further details on what's covered in your auto or anything you attach to your car that does not come from the factory.

I left State Farm last year. I paid my local agent for six months in advance with a money order and he lost it. He told me it was my problem, even though I had a written receipt from him and he was the one who lost it. My car insurance almost lapsed until I was, thankfully, able to track down the regional field agent, who helped me get my payment posted but it was only because I worked day after day to find out who was the boss to which he reported.

I, honestly, would not recommend State Farm Insurance to anyone. The stress I went through over the alleged lost payment and almost losing my car insurance was not worth it.

State Farm failure to pay full amount on insurance claim

I have had State Farm for approximately 1 year now. I recently had a cracked windshield and wanted to get it replaced per factory specifications. State Farm attempted to get me to take my vehicle to underqualified glass repair shop. The shop was not even aware of the necessary parts required to fix the windshield or the correct procedure to do so. I brought this to the attention of my agent Jennifer Hubbs. Mrs. Hubbs seems to be a very nice person and has a very courteous office staff. However she advised me that she was at the mercy of the national office and had no control over how much they would pay on my claim to fix my car correctly. The claim center or third-party agency that handles glass claims for State Farm was rude, inconsiderate, unprofessional, and I even got the bonus of listening to her finish her lunch as she attempted to work on my claim. This claims professional and I use that term loosely, wanted to put cheap inexpensive parts on my vehicle and not fix the windshield correctly as required by the manufacturer. I paid rates approximately 25 percent higher then the other big three insurance companies because I believed the hype that State Farm was a first class company tha would not hassle you when the occasional claim arose. This is without a doubt the most frustrating and infuriating experience I've ever had dealing with an insurance company. In the end they refused to make matters right and I was out of pocket over $300 on top of my deductible to simply have my car fixed correctly and as it was before it was damaged. Throughout this process I was forced to spend at least 8 hours of my own time researching and educating State Farm on the proper way to fix the windshield (I mistakenly thought that's what I was paying them to do)? I was extremely horrified to find out that a company such as this did not even know the necessary parts to fix something as simple as a windshield. It was also troubling that throughout the process more of the various people I spoke with had a predominantly careless attitude and talked to me in a childish and condescending way. I cant even imagine what this would have been like if I would had a house fire or something more significant. Do yourself, your family, and your friends a big favor and stay as far away from State Farm as you can unless you want to gamble with your possessions. I would like to say there was one agent during the process that truly cared about what was happening & tried her best to make things right, but was eventually overruled by her rude, inconsiderate and pompous supervisor. I will stay away from State Farm for the rest of my life and make sure I warn family members and al my friends of this experience so that someone else doesn't have to get ripped of and go through what I did.

State Farm state farm screwing over elderly

My mother & father have been using State Farm for Home & Auto. About 40+ YEARS! She would never file a false claim. She has roof damage. They stated on the first inspection they would get in "trouble" approving an organic roof replacement on the first visit. SO already the claim was set to be denied. Person said he approved an oranic roof replacement & almost got fired. I request second inspection, Contractors find even MORE damage than these supposed experts. I call back & Yvonne their boss says too bad she agrees with her employees assesment of no roof damage. BIG surprise. The vents were approved, siding approved, car damaged...I mean there is significant storm damage. The state farm inspector guy even broke shingles off! They are STILL refusing to pay. I wonder if it's because now that my father has passed they feel they can get one over on an elderly lady. She has 13 kids and convinced a ton to go to state farm. Disgusting that no one puts this company in check.

State Farm buisness tactics

State Farm auto adjusters used delaying tactics - demanding body shop install original trunk the
shop knew it would not right. Five trunks from Ford, were all damaged and returned. Ford would not fix them. So the delays caused me to exhaust dollar allowance for rental car.
I had to Pay $312 out of pocket to return rental ad drive my own other car.
I had to get involved with other personnel to elevate State Farm to agree to extra cost for body
shop to search for trunk.State Farm delayed first attempt o select other source.
First source caused delay because they would not approve extra cost. Approval now by State Farm is delayed because supplement to claims is delayed by demanding E-mail from body shop
for claims review. This after sourcing a trunk that fits then car detailed
like I got it from the Ford Dealer. I am aware that Farm Is being sued in other states from practices like this.

State Farm altering policy to increase competitors rates

I had state farm for nearly four years and had nothing but issues with them for the last two years I had them. First off they tried canceling my emergency roadside after having used it on one of my two vehicles a total of five times in almost four years. After about three months of calls and threatening legal action for "breach of contract" I was finally contacted and told that state farm was wrong and that my emergency roadside would continue. Ever since it has been a complete nightmare. I was in an accident on 7/18/13 in which the police report states that I was not at fault...therefore state farm originally listed it as "not at fault" in their system. Upon having another accident on 5/4/14, which was not entirely my fault, I told state farm that after the claim was said and done I was going to be switching companies due to their lack of customer service. The accident was listed as 100% my fault since the other person involved got back in his vehicle and drove away before I could get any of his info. I had gotten several quotes from other companies when state farm tried canceling my emergency roadside. Now all of a sudden since I say I'm leaving, the quotes I am getting from the same other companies have tripled. I found out that the reason why is because state farm had altered my account and listed the previous accident from 2013 the same way in their system as the recent one from 2014...which was listed as "at fault". Now my quotes have gone from being about $130 to being about $550. State farm to this day denies that they have altered my account or that it is even possible. I have written proof that they have. If the accident from 2013 had been listed as "at fault" originally my rate would have increased when my policy renewed, which it did not increase. My rate did not increase until after the second accident, getting a newer vehicle, and telling state farm that I was done with them. I have filed a complaint with the oklahoma insurance commission but apparently state farm has paid them well to look the other way. The bbb wouldn't investigate anything due to the oic "investigation". Does anyone know who I might be able to contact that might do something about all this BS?

Insurance companies, like people, don't really care about explanations and excuses. They care about dollars. They had to pay for your accidents so they are allowed to charge more for your insurance. If dozens of people make complaints about a certain insurance company violating the applicable, the state board can remove the license of that company. The state board isn't a place where people can appeal for lower insurance rates. You have a local representative to your state government, who may be interested to hear your ideas about changing the law, but will also not be able to adjust your rate.

State Farm unauthorized charges

I canceled my auto insurance policy with State Farm on 5.21.2014, which included 2 vehicles and home owner insurance. For 3 months they have continued to draw out money without authorization and refuse to return it. I have called them on several times to get this resolved, only to have agent Julie, working for Agent John Crumblin, in Hiram, to hang up on me, each and every time, saying there is nothing she can do. I've asked to talk to her boss, which she has also refused to do. I live off a small retirement and the amount taken from my account is robbing me of food. They owe my $247.77, which was taken illegally. My vehicles are: 2004 Mercury, policy number 601 7821-F11-11B; 2000 Nissan #655 5673-D15-11; Homeowners insurance #11-B1-J443-3. Thank-you for any assistance you can give me. Contact me at my email address: [protected]@yahoo.com. My present address is 991 Bobo Rd, Dallas, GA 20132.

State Farm employment

Do not go to work for State Farm (I am a new employee but have been there for two months). They pay chicken feed plus pretend that you will make a killing selling new auto policies (in addition to the chicken feed) when in fact the commission scale is very small. It is all ###. You sit for hours watching boring training videos and the trainers, for the most part, are narcissistic egomaniacs that push a product that is in reality screwing alot of people.

State Farm termination of policy

My fiancé was a loyal customer of State Farm Insurance Company for about 15 years. As a reward for this loyalty he just got a letter stating that the policy will not be renewed. The given reason is that there were too many claims none of which he was contacted or questioned about. And how many is too many- 3 in 5 years( we live in New York!).Besides, isn't it why premiums are sky high anyway?Customer service for you.Ha-ha.
