Four weeks ago, I applied for a payday loan of $200. The idea was that I pay them monies toward this loan when I receive direct deposit. I opted to pay them the $200 and $60 interest in full on November 3.

The agreement stated that I needed to contact them that I wanted to pay this in full three days in advance so that they would not instantly re-instate the loan of $200 each month plus an additional fee.

I totally did everything by the book, e mailed and contacted by phone that the $260 was to be taken out on November 3. That I fulfilled my end of the agreement and they receive their $60 interest.

On November 4th, my bank account was overdrawn and in the negative. United took the money out as agreed on November 3. There were insufficient funds to cover the $260. And United added another $50 overdraft fee, . And another $30...

I immediately went to my bank. They told me that a company named StarterCreditDirect deducted $99.00 from my account saying that there was no signature required and I authorized them to do so.

I called them immediately when I got home from the bank demanding they re-imburse me for the $99.00 that caused me to bounce five checks at $35.00 each, United's charge of $50 late fee and another $30.

They claimed I gave them permission to take the $99.00 and it went on and on ... I was enraged!!! I told them to make good on this as I would go to the authorities, Massachusetts takes these crimes and scams seriously.

Right now, I am in the red with my bank, payday loan service, my own personal bills that are not going to be paid. My mortgage cannot be paid because I do not have the money to cover the note and will not be able to until I clear up this mess.

I am so beside myself!!! I applied for a payday loan and in good faith had the monies to cover their interest and this is what has happened.

BE CAREFUL OF PAYDAY LOANS. THEY ARE INTERTWINED WITH A NUMBER OF COMPANIES UNDER THE GUISE OF HELPING YOU. YOUR ACCOUNT WILL BE ATTACHED AT THEIR DISCRETION AND YOU HAVE NO RECOURSE!!!
