Contrast and comparison... Please read below. I'm forever perplexed.
7th avenue and 23rd street - huge location. At 8am everyday there is a huge line and sometimes one person doing register, coffee, and snacks. If you are lucky somebody comes back from their smoke break (you see them standing right by the front door) and you have two people behind the counter.
6th ave and 24th street-smaller location. Because of the above I sometimes will try this location. This is even worse. This place is half the size and over staffed... And the line is still just as long. There must be 4 to 5 employees behind the counter bumping into each other. The lady at the register gets my drink wrong all the time. Tall iced coffee sweetened. It never comes sweetened-I have accepted that and given up that option. She also writes down the coffee cake I buy every morning and places the bag to the side for the person in charge of snacks to place in the bag. The bag sits on the counter half the time or falls on the floor. If you can interrupt all the laughter and personal conversation behind the counter, you might be able to remind them of the order you just placed and paid for 10 minutes ago. This place us seriously like a saturday night live sketch. I try and find the positive in everything, but this place really needs some major overhaul.
Starbucks management please help! This is really tarnishing the way I feel about such a wonderful company and success story.
rude staff with ridiculous logic
The staff is very rude. When asked to heat the cold sandwich for few seconds, the staff rudely denied saying they don't offer such service. One thin guy with glasses who had ridiculous behaviour seriously shocked me. The other bald african-american guy with a beard was also rude. Normally, starbucks service has been good everywhere. They should seriously check the quality of their staff and stop hiring stupid people.

I just walked out on a shift. I have worked for starbucks since september after getting laid off of my tech virtual work job. I thought starbucks would be fun. I train well and was offered to be higher on as a shift manager. I declined, it was during busy holiday times and didnt want to step on any toes of former employees. The management and I agreed that come january I would start my training.
I am a fast learner and was being told that I was excelling and doing great for the first few months, then out of no-where my manager (brandee) comes to me and says I need to come out of my shell, stop being depressed and that everyone here thinks you hate it here. I work with only two people each week and get along great with them. They have told me im doing great and exceeding expectations so to hear brandee tell me this was very upsetting. I got the rest of my shift covered for the evening and approved by brandee because I was no feeling well and was now very frustrated at the huge sharp turn of direction. The next day I come into work and am ridiculed on how horrible the closing shift did the night before because the lack of knowledge of the person that came into cover for me. They wanted an apology. One was not given. Each employee should know how to do each job and if a manager approves an employee to cover that shift for me should have known better. Fast forward 4 weeks later. I have made an effort to smile and greet customers (more so than the shifts) and have even developed relation ships with our customers. I have sold promotional items well and always go the extra step to satisfy each guests visit. Again today as I came in im told that I intimidated a young partner (who I never work with) at the register to give me a fee drink. All I did was ask if the drink was free because I was working that day. She said nothing and rang me up but then followed up with the manager who came down on me to do the right thing and again said the 90% of the store (I work with only 2 mind you) said I am miserable and unhappy and don't want to be here. My manager asked me to explaing whats going on in my private life so I told her about my wife upcoming breasts cancer exam that we are worried about, and legal charges that have just been dropped due to no criminal evidence available.
I feel very violated and upset that the one place I could go and stay busy and connect with people (all while do the job correctly) would dare to tell me that I don't want to work there let alone provide me with examples or names of people who have said these things. I have been in customer service for 5+ years and have never seen such a horribly run management communications disaster. They even went onto my facebook page to scan me out and look for negative things about me. This is too crazy.
As being in upper management in other customer service industries before I would highly advise the removal of the current management at this location. Employees have often come fourth with knowledge that they have had to deal with some off the same stuff I have had to.
This lead to my decision to walk out of the store. If I am seen as some one who does not want to be there than guess what? I dont!

Oh never mind, wrong complaint, anyways notice how this child has an issue with everyone? I stand by when I called her a hypocrite, why does she want to know who reported her that is none of her business, yet she thinks her privacy should be respected. It works both ways. If she wants her privacy respected then she had no right acting like a child and demanding to know who reported her for not liking her job.
The person who wrote this was not treated unfairly. The child writing this complaint needs to learn that they cannot just take a break whenever they feel like it. The management makes a schedule and if everyone felt like going on a break when they felt like it who would be there to help the customers. If the issue is she is hungry she should have had mommy prepare her breakfast, or lunch before she started working. I am sure in school if she is hungry she cannot just eat whenever she feels like it, she has to wait until recess or lunch. Same thing at work.
It sounds like you were treated very unfairly. I am a former Starbucks employee of 7 years, and I know from experience that sometimes an employee doesn't win the juvenile hangout/popularity contest and so they try to get rid of them. Seeing how you did nothing wrong they use the tactic of making you so miserable that you quit. I am sorry this happened to you.
It also sounds like the store is under poor management. Maybe you were sullen at work once or twice, everyone is, we are all human. Sometimes our grandmother dies, etc, etc.
I will have you know as a current customer I would much rather have a sad barista make my drink CORRECTLY and with KNOWLKEDGE of how to treat espresso than a happy go lucky college kid with no knowledge of coffee handing me a $5 cup of garbage tasting liquid in a cup. I have worked with several of these types, they even flat out tell you they hate coffee and never drink it...what?! Coffee is an ART!
Also the problem seems to be you not everyone else.
Why do you want to know who reported you when you have an issue providing private information.
It seems like you were the one that was causing problems and claiming everyone else was. You are pretty much of a hypocrite, you complain about the other managers asking you about your personal life yet you demand to know who made complaints about you. That is none of your concern, You want your privacy protected but don't care if you violate the privacy of other people.
lasers at counter gives headaches!
When I go into a starbucks store, I am hit with a laser when standing in line.
This causes immediate headaches.
The remedy is easy, just dont point at the customer line... But no...
The laser moves around and ends up facing the eyes of the customers in line.
Flooring maintenance in and around
I recently moved to shenzhen, china and regularly visit starbucks around my vicinity called coco park.. During my 3rd visit I just stepped out of starbucks to use the restroom and I slipped because the floor was slightly wet and slippery. There was no sign board of "caution wet floor" nothing at all.. I ended up with a broken wrist (fracture) and a dislocation.. Its been more than 1month I have a plaster n also suffering from pain.. Only maintening the interior of starbucks is not important, they need to maintain the flooring in and around as well... I couldn't blame them because it didnt happen inside starbucks.

terrible service and disgusting drinks
I regularly stop in this starbucks primarily for convenience however I am always disappointed 9 times out of 10. I have changed my route and leave ten minutes earlier to avoid this location as much as I possibly can however sometimes it is the easiest. The service is absolutely terrible. I have complained to corporate and the general manager. It is not just one person it is all of them but maybe 1 or 2. They don't say good morning, they are rude and when I bring my drink back because it was curdled or I bring my food back because they gave me something I didn't even order and waited 20 minutes for it, they are put off by their mistake. The service and quality at this location is that of a complete dump. I wish someone would focus on making this location better, it is very busy.

poor service - bad product
Last week they forgot the caramel in my caramel macchiato, and it was tepid. I called and they said to come in next week for a replacement. Today I stopped by, but the crew just gave me a blank stare when I mentioned the issue. I requested extra hot today and had to explain that I wanted skim milk with a skinny drink. My drink was warm not hot and nowhere near extra hot. This is two weeks in a row. I love starbucks when they do it right, but I need a good cup of coffee for the money, i'm paying for coffee worse than a corner store.in fact, i'll go to 711 and get my coffee next time. At least it will be hot and fresh, and the dark roast will have a punch, unlike my last two macchiato's at starbucks in linthicum heights, md.

My niece was studying on her computer and called me crying because the female manager and her male friend were making lewd jokes about her sitting with the back of her computer facing them and they claimed she must be looking at kiddie porn or something illegal because these two couldn't see her screen and she was sitting by herself. For your information, idiots, she was working on a school essay, not trolling the web for twelve-year-old boys. Get a life!
She refuses to use her computer at any place besides her college library or at home now because of this treatment. She used to love starbucks but refuses to go back there, again. This took place in the fall of 2011.
rude employee
This happened at the starbucks branch at the eaton centre (downtown toronto)- this is the branch within the bookstore - indigo chapters. I stood in line like everyone else and when my turn finally came up I made said "hi" and made my order but the customer service agent behind the counter completely ignored me - until her colleague noticed and took my order instead. I knew that she noticed me because she actually saw me approaching the counter and looked down and kept looking down - she was also facing me and standing right in front of me. This was not only insulting but it was also completely embarrassing. Never again am I gonna shop at that starbucks branch.
gift card never received
I ordered a Gift Card in April 2014, which was never received. It was supposed to be a Mother's Day gift. Mothers Day came and went, and nothing. I called customer service more than three times, and spoke to someone different each time, and each time they took the information wrong (wrong address, wrong billing address, the funds were changed to Canadian funds instead of remaining US funds etc.) The last time I called the representative didn't know what she was doing either, and kept asking me the same questions over and over again. I asked to speak to a manager, she kept going back and forth without transfering me to a manager. I finally got a hold of one lame manager, who had an attitude, and kept repeating that we always change the funds into the currency of the country it's going to, which wasn't true, this isn't the first time I was ordering from them, so he didn't know what he was talking about, and he was never appologetic about the situation and when I said go ahead and cancel my order, he said it's up to you what you decide to do. Really? Is that what managers say when handling situations like these? How low class of starbucks, to let their' employees treat their' customers like this. I guess they really don't care about their' customers, maybe they've made enough money and reached the top that they let it go to their' heads. Well whoever owns starbucks I can't wait till you go under. There's no way you can treat customers in a low manner and expect us to go and buy your products. I will never buy another starbucks coffee, or a gift card again, and I will tell all my friends and family to do the same. Remember, karma's a b****, and yours is on the way. To hell with you Starbucks.

I believe the manager treated me with disrespect, by calling the police on on me for something so minor and minute, it was very offending, in a way pinning me with something so calluse, felt like she was useing her employees in her own best interest against me, considering taking legal action in discrimination lawsuit case, Starbuck's need to contact me with a full investigation on this situation before a more serious violations are eminent !

waiting for order
Ordered two tall mochas' waited up to 20 min, while 3 other empolyes walked around doing nothing. Also i was told that they had no salt for my orignal order which was salted carmel mocha. I was going to order two pastries then i look at them and they were either falling apart or crumbling on the plate or looked extremly old and hard.

I wasted my time and money
I made an order through starbucksstore.com and was so disappointed with the services. I paid for my order and the seller sent me this tracking number. I checked it all the time, but the status of the purchase stated that it is sent. I made order 2 weeks ago, but I still haven’t received it. The customer service team was helpless, they only promised to check everything and called back, but they didn’t. I wasted my time and money.

The start of the issue was a terrible cup of coffee purchased in Maine while on a road trip. I don't expect perfection but it was a big disappointment to hit the road and find my coffee absolutely full of grinds. What makes the matter worse and causes me great dissatisfaction with Starbucks was that I TWICE wrote to their customer service folks, providing all the requested details and asking for a response. Twice, I received no reply. I think it is a problem to serve an inferior product but it is an even bigger problem for the customer's voice to go unheard.

I was just saying the other day how I have never had bad service or product at Starbuck's. Maybe they didn't answer because some coffee grounds in the coffee is really no big deal and certainly not worth writing twice AND complaining here. Grounds happen!

Before I start my complain I would like to introduce myself: my name is Dr. Ahmed El-Sherif, 39 years old, specialized in Hyperbaric & Diving Medicine. I used to visit Starbucks (Maadi, Corniche El Nil) too frequent with my fiancé where the last time was on Monday, April 1st at 11pm. We ordered our favorite drinks, sat on two close sofas, and started having some talk surrounded by the usual great atmosphere where I normally was holding her hand and from time to time kissing it, too! The atmosphere was suddenly broken by a guy (Ahmed Khaled Mohamed) moving chairs and tables next to us, cleaning, staring at us, and disturbing the whole atmosphere. We first thought it was unintentional as we knew they close at 12 am and 10 min would be more than enough to do the whole thing!
A few minutes later another guy came and rudely asked me to have some talk with him but I rejected saying "no, I'm busy!". I got angry as the only thing came to my mind was that I kissed my fiancé's hand! She didn't understand what the guy wanted so I had to explain to her and she turned too much upset about the whole situation. I then dropped her to the car and went back to see what went wrong, hoping I misunderstood him, and when I asked him (Ahmed Adel Mohamed) he answered impolitely that the way I was sitting was improper! At that moment I turned mad at him and the other guy, and the third one (Francois) was calming me down and apologized for their way. The next day I met the Area Manager (Mohamad Higazi/+[protected]) to see what they would do to punish him and if he was not to get fired, at least an apology to my fiancé would be enough. The area manager could not promise to fire him nor make him apologize, saying that they had no right to fire him as the Labor Law protects him no matter what he did, giving an example of another guy that stole money yet they could not fire him! He also said they had nothing to control their staff attitude due to the culture they come from which is always unpredictable and therefore he apologized on their behalf, which was not enough for me, believing that if this is the way they would deal with things the guys would never be blamed for mistakes and therefore would continue the same attitude with others..
For me and my fiancé, Starbucks was a perfect place for a perfect coffee to have, and it used to always be our break-station no matter where we go, specially with the quality of service we thought it was providing. After this incident I think it will become a place for extremists to control it their way..

I went for my regular afternoon jolt and ordered a total of three coffees to take back to the office. After they were served I asked for a tray since I had to walk a couple of blocks back and they were large coffees. They couldn't find any trays behind the counter and since they were busy they never offered a solution. I had to leave one of the coffees behind and lose the money. Bad enough, but I complained to Starbucks on their site and did not hear a peep from them even though I use a self restoring card and have been a loyal costumer. They have lost their way!

store manager - store #5867, issue in returning produce
It purchased a coffeemaker, Verismo 580 on 12/31/2012 for $150.00 and tried to return it on 1/3/2013 but the worker wasn't sure what to do with the transaction so she advised me she would contact the manager and get back to me. The purchase was taken from 3 different credit cards (in which 2 of them were on a Visa Gift Card) the other on my personal Visa Card. The manager called me on the 1/4/2013 and originally told me that she would only be able to give me store credit for the purchased price. I told her every time I had ever purchased any thing from Starbucks it had to be either cash or credit card and, why was it that she could only give me store credit? She said that making a purchase with my visa card is not considerated cash so; therefore, she would not give me cash back. I also asked her why she could not give me credit on my personal credit card or gift cards? Then she changed her story and told me she could give me credit only on my gift card and not on my personal Visa credit card. So, therefore, I asked her why she did not put the purchase amount on all three credit cards as it was originally purchased. She said as long as put the amount on one of the cards used was sufficient. But she still refused to put it on my personal Visa card as requested. Why?
I also have purchase 8 café lattés and milk pods kits for the Veismo coffeemaker which I did not have a recite to go with the purchase so, therefore, she would not give me store credit. They were all in the original store condition as when I had purchased them from your company.
When I left the store I realized that I had left my original recite behind and when I went back for it she told me that I didn’t need it. I continued to insist that I did need the recite, but she told me she needed it too. Anyways, finally she retrieves it out of the garbage and gives it back to me. Then she said to me, “Well, I am done and this is the end of all of this.”
In all of the years I have dealt with Starbucks I have not ever had a person that was so rude and not willing to accommodating me what so ever. I have always found Starbuck employees to be friendly and willing to please.
I told her that I would not ever return to Starbucks again and I have been one of your best customers there is. I have spent a lot of money at Starbucks, as I am there almost every day of the week and sometimes even on weekends. Her only response was, “Well, I guess that’s the way it goes!”

First off communication is essential in resolving these issues.
No tby any means taking the store or managers side I have to ask why you choose to communicate this to us in English when it is obviously not the language you communicate well in.
You also set yourself up for this with the multiple methods of payment.
Quite honestly I would have offered you no more than store credit for all the confusion you would have caused with this transaction having been within the past 3 days. Did it not work or did you just decide you did not want it so bad? or are you low on cash? Maybe you should get your obsessive compulsive spending in order..
I may have given you consideration as a valuable customer(assuming that is actually the case), but no greater than any other.
You seem to be, like so many other American consumers, convinced that you are the center of the universe. Youre no! You created the nightmare transaction and then recinded the transaction so quickly that I would question the motive. and at least wait a reasonable time for the dust to settle. Or you can have Store Credit.

I was in you store of 506 N Sullivan Rd, Spokane Valley, WA of NOVEMBER 13, 2012 AT 0700 to get my ushly coffee for myself and my mother, Well there is Lady there that has Blondy hair and is rude as hell.
Today I order my coffeee, she charge me for two still got the order wrong then my mom went complain and the Blondy lady charge my mom again. I'm not happy at all, she just luck I'm sick cause I would of told her where to stick it.
So this lady charge us 16 for two coffeees everyone else there is so nice, if this isn't address your gonna to loose this cosmur
poor service, unhealthy environment
I have been in this Starbucks on 7/18/12, 7/20/12 and 7/24/12. I am there almost everyday during the week. Each time I have been into the dining area it has been unbearably hot. I understand from staff that there is some problem with the AC but this seems to be a long term problem. I notice there has been no attempt to make the atmosphere more pleasant such as portable AC units or fans in the dining room. I do think that there could be some attempt made to cool the area by bother means.
I also noted outside food being brought into the restaurant and flying insects. I think these conditions may be outside the health code and the temperature that employees are working in outside the norm for the industry.
It is impossible to reach the manager. Her card has the store #, a number for your VM which requires a password and is useless for LEAVING a message a email address that does not work. Mail bounces back. I started out not so upset. But after 2 days of trying to reach her I am livid.

lousy experience
We spend a few months of the year in Ga. We always go shopping at the Pavillion when I'm in Ga. The Starbucks at the corner of Hwy. 85 and Pavillion Pkwy. is my preffered coffee stop, or atleast it WAS. The last time we went in there we were helped (I use the word help loosely) by a woman named Christy. She was very ruud and not much help at all. I will never go back. I always order the same thing, my order never changes. When we received our coffees the one I ordered was wrong. Christy insisted that I ordered the wrong thing, I know I did not. She argued with me for 10 minutes and made me look like a low life in front of other customers. She did make me what I ordered after all that BS I took from her. It could have been much easier than it was and Christy could have handled it better. I will never go back.

This complaint is specifically for the down town- tagamoo - branch, since ramdan and this branch is getting down in a very strange way, first the new staff is not properly trained. Now the quality of the drinks are getting very bad! The staff are always in a bad mood, my drink is always the same, caramel Maciato, it is the worse ever in this place! You really need to watch what is going on with this guys.
I bought a cup of coffee at Starbucks. It was so bad I couldn't drink it but I was on the road. I returned it four hours later. I was told they only guarantee their coffee in the store. I used to go to Starbucks to get good coffee. Now maybe I will give up coffee.

Two restrooms have been out of order for two weeks. The door handle on one restroom and the other who knows. People stand waiting to get in and there is no one in there. I am there everyday supporting Starbucks. Please, lets get something done there.
Stopped at the Oaklawn location near Evergreen Park Il. both suburbs of Chicago & purchased some goodies, Sad to say I was not happy with the brownie. Don't get me wrong it was very good, but for what it cost I feel taken/robbed. At a cost of over $2 for such a small piece is just wrong in my book. Just an F.Y.I.

Hey I can see that sometimes the coffee machine might have a bad cup. Next time do what I do, Ask for a fresh cup of coffee or ask how long the current pot has been brewing. ALSO, ALWAYS take a sip before you leave that way you know it is just how you want it. We are all human so we have to expect some mistakes sometime right.
