Star Market, Ashburnham Marketplace Grocery Store review: Knowingly selling rotten food

Frozen food coolers have been non-working for 6 days now, going on 7. Reported issue to owner 5 days ago, and every day since. Today he just smiled and said "yes, I know", to which I responded people are going to get badly sick. Again he smiled and said yes, it's been broken all week and the food is no good, but if people choose to buy it, they are welcome to buy it. Yet the ice cream is leaking everyone as warm milk, the pizza boxes have slime leaking from corners, the sausage meat smells horrid, the list goes on. There is at least 40 feet of frozen food cooler that the internal thermometer read 47-48 degrees for the past 4+ days. There are NO signs anywhere saying the coolers are out of order and food is not for sale. Coolers are fully lit and people are buying the food.

This is not the first time this has happened recently, but it is surely the longest it's gone on.

They also keep their meats out days past the date for sale, then they flip the steaks and chicken and repackage with new dates, then when that date goes by, they grind the meat to Hamburg and or cook the stuff to a finished food and put it beside the fresh meat for sale . It's utterly disgusting. I know for a fact they do this because I have been told by a worker that he is made to do it.

I have said something to the management several times, but they just smile and say I do not have to buy it.

Yes, these are very strong things I have written, but sadly all true.
