Stamps.com Service

I have the stamps.com unopened. Realized when it arrived that my business was not large enough. Plus middle of Covid, Have contacted site and requested how I could return product, unopened. Attempted to return via mail deliverer, also brought it to mail center and post office. Just found phone number this morning, but would like to have in writing receipt. Current bill 80.00 dollars. Thanks for courtesy in this matter

Desired outcome: Unopened container returned, no charges, as it has not been opened or used.

Stamps.com Unable to cancel membership on-line.

I have attempted to cancel my membership the same day as I realized this was not the United States Postal system. Each attempt resulted in the display of an error message. I ended up calling. The person assured me he would send a confirmation email - never arrived. Supposedly, this site is endorsed by the USPS. Are they? Surely no government agency would endorse such a corrupt site. I have ended up closing my credit card I submitted, for I know they will attempt to charge it.

Previously when I attempted to log in and could not I had to call. I am not sure of the mental competence of the person I reached for they could not spell the simplest of words and had to ask repeatedly what I had said. I believe my diction is stellar.

Desired outcome: Cancel my membership.

Stamps.com Unauthorized billing

I called the customer services says they would cancel the subscription and even agreed to refund me the fees but will not send an email to that effect.

Desired outcome: pending

Stamps.com Misrepresentation

I ordered a free product from Stamps.com but cancelled the very next day. They sent the stuff anyway along with an $18.05 "handling fee". I have tried in vain to get this refunded but they refuse. I have asked to have postage to return what they sent me but they refuse. Their Customer Support Team is a total waste & they kept me "on hold" for over 30". A lousy company.

Desired outcome: Refund my $18.05

Stamps.com Stamps.com

Stamps.com never notified me of any recurring charges or service fees. They send fliers in the mail to sign up, and nowhere in the process is it disclosed that there will be a fee. To activate the account, you must call and provide a credit card. They give you a month free so you don't know you've signed up for some recurring fee. Their website hides the service plan fees separately from where your charges and orders are tracked.

Stamps.com Ordering stamps online

I needed some stamps and was told I could order online from the post office. Stamps .com looks a bit like the post office but I after awhile I realized it wasn't and left without ordering anything or signing any agreement. A month later I got a $17.99 charge for a service fee. I called and they agreed to stop any future service fees but refused to refund the current fee. I had to report the fraud and get a new card number which is a bit of a hassle since I have this card on file many recurring charge accounts.

Desired outcome: Just refund my $17.99 stop pretending that Stamps.com has any connection to the post office.

Stamps.com Did not sign up for this service

I just noticed today that there is a charge of $19.40 from Stamps.com; I checked further on my Discover card charges and noticed I have been charged that amount going back to September 8.

I am 80 years old, retired, and do not order stamps, packing materials, and whatever else the company is pushing. I did not sign up for this service and want it stopped and a credit issued to my card.

Desired outcome: credit to my card

Same thing happened to me. I signed up for a free stamp trial and immediately canceled it...this was 2 months ago, and what do you know, a charge for $17.99 just appeared on my Chase card. On line now with Chase to dispute the charge. Tried to log into Stamps.com using the id I setup with them ( I use a password manager so my ids and passwords are all there) and it said it was not a valid id/password. Tried hitting the "change password" link and it said I had to call them to do that and wait until Monday. Total scam!

Stamps.com Monthly fee

I was charged a fee out of the blue of $75.20. When I called to ask about this they told me that it was a monthly service fee. I did not sign up for a monthly service fee plan. They claim they sent invoices by email each month to pay these "monthly fees" but when I went back and searched my email, I did not have any invoices from stamps.com. So one day they just charge $75.20 with no notice or email. Not cool. This included service fees. Why would I sign up for a service to mail that has a monthly service fee and then when I used the portal (which wasn't often) I said NOTHING about owing money to them. The representative told me that since I closed my account their is nothing they can do about refunding any money back. Of course! What a joke. I will not use stamps.com again or recommend to anyone.

Stamps.com Trial account

Back in april, 2020, I decided I needed to find a mechanism to get stamps for personal use because of everthing being closed for "Shelter in place" for the covid 19 situation. An internet search led me to Stamps.com. I applied for an account. on April 24, they send me a letter welcoming me giving me account id number 8190058. I attempted to access the account via their website. was unsuccessful, tried to call customer service, but was met with a recording that because of the covid 19 volume of calls their service was unavailable call again. frustrated, called again waited, finally talked to a person who didn't seem to understand my issues and she hung up on me. then I got an email saying we were unable conclude dealing with my problem on the phone did I want to explain. I wrote a email explaining my problem. they emailed back saying they needed my account number and personal information to cancel the account. Frustated I wrote a letter indicating my problems that I had never accessed the account because of website problems and that I wanted to cancel the account and a refund of my money the $17.99 they had charged my credit card. I sent a copy of the "welcoming" letter. whiuch included the custumer id number8190058, I repeated these same requests in an repeat email sent in June 2020. thI received an email response 6/23/20/20 indicating the account had been canceled It said "we have closed your account today"..."stamps.com fees are processed at the end of the each cycle. We have waived a service fee to prevent a final fee from being processed. You will receive a confirmation email shortly." On that very day my credit card was charged anothwer $17.99. To date I have not received a confirmation email, nor have I received any refund of the $17.99 feesb I was charged on 2 occasions. So I am very frustrated. I appears to me this is just a fraud or a scam to liberate people from their money, What I would like is is the confirmation letter confirming that this account has been permanently closed and a refund of the 2 monthly fees charged me @ $17.99 apiece or $35.98. a check or refund to my credit card will work
thank you

Stamps.com Unauthorized charges

I received a flyer in the mail in December advertising free stamps by printing at home. This information was very unclear, but I wanted to check it out. I went online to check it out and see how it worked, so I had to create an account. I tried to print the free stamps included, but it didn't work right and I just decided it wasn't for me. I had no idea that they were charging me every month for the account. This was very unclear, and the account wasn't even being used. I normally pay attend to subscription type accounts, but this was very misleading and they did not even communicate with me since December. I deleted my account once I realized I had been charged for 3 months. I called customer service, but they were not able to refund me. I am normally not one to complain, but I feel very mislead and scammed. I would like my full refund back for those 3 months. I was charged on January 21, February 18, and March 16. I did receive $9 refund for the month of March.

Stamps.com subscription plan

Accidentally automatically enrolled in monthly subscription service four months ago and only recently noticed the charge on my credit card. Not able to cancel subscription online. Called customer service and was told plan was canceled but it is still active. Unable to remove my credit card information from profile online. Stamps.com charge made to my bank account

I had signed up for the 4 week trial and on the second day I called to cancel my account. They had sent me a confirmation code which all this happened over a month ago so I no longer have the email but I wish I did because today I got a charge of $17.99 to my bank account by Stamps.com EVEN THOUGH I HAD ALREADY CANCELED MY ACCOUNT AND NEVER USED IT! And of course I tried to call as soon as I found out a charge was made(11pm) but today is Friday and after 6pm so they are closed and they have NO after hours support so I won't be able to call and complain until Monday at 6am. Very bad company. This is a scam! I want my money back!

Stamps.com unauthorized credit card charges, difficult to cancel the service

Stamps.com charged me a monthly fee for 2.5 years without sending any notification emails or receipts to make me aware of the charges—I just happened to spot it one month on my statement.

It was impossible to cancel online—I had to email their "customer service" and they only cancelled it after several rounds of going back and forth over email. Email responses take several days. They completely ignored my multiple requests for a refund—didn't even bother to refuse the request, just ignored that I even asked for one at all. It seems to be a company policy to ignore refund requests—I contacted multiple customer service agents and every one of them completely ignored my requests for a refund.

This is hands down the worst customer service I've ever had from any company I've ever dealt with.

Please take my advice and STAY FAR AWAY from Stamps.com, you can get a better service for free from other companies like PirateShip (and they actually provide helpful and friendly customer service, with quick responses often within a few minutes.

Stamps.com Not Reliable!

I thought that this company could help us in our new business. I was completely mistaked. this company built a simple software that just cause you problems and waste of money. I shipped an envelope that never was delivered to the destination and my option was the USPS insurance... For sure I could never get this money back because they don't give you any support (of course, they want to sell you their own insurance). Second problem... I printed an international postage and my local postman took the package. The package was 1 inch larger than standards, and the postman brought the package back. I had to cancel that postage, print another updated and correct one and give him to take it to the post office again. I asked for the refund of the wrong one, now I knew that they refused to pay me back! Dearest Customer, try another way to ship your merchandise! Go to hell with your dawn refunds policy Stamps.com! I'll cancel my account asap!

Stamps.com Cannot cancel Stamps.com

I signed up for Stamps.com under a promotional offer of free postage after a trial period. From the beginning, it was NOT as promised. It took over 2 months to get 'free' scale. I never received my 'free' postage from promotional offer. I have emailed 3x now asking for cancellation of service and refund of fees. Never heard back from 1st email request, 2nd email request said CALL! I do not have access to a phone since I am home bound recovering from injuries. On 6/29, they took out monthly fee AFTER I had requested them to stop service and OVERDREW my account. Now, on 7/4, Stamps.com is trying to hit my account again for a monthly fee. I have never used their service or their scale. They suck!

Same thing here! I have tried to cancel, but they say they cannot even find an account for me, BUY I am getting billed for 2 months worth of stamps that I didn't order, nor sign up for, or even GET!
Today I am going to my bank, getting a new debit-card, and just giving up on stamps.com ever taking care of this!
I am also turning the charge over to the bank fraud department to get my money credited back to my account.

I originally went on the site in response to an ad for picture postage. I was interested in purchasing stamps with the pictures of my children on them. After going throught the site, i canceled to order because I could not get enough information about HOW to get the stamps. I soon after had another baby and my husband took over the credit card statements. We were charged every month for 6 months before he discovered it and asked me about it. I called to complain and they said "too bad". They told me it was like having cable, you get charged even if you dont watch it. I told him that I never signed up and he told me that I had recieved emails. Never one. The next day, I received my first email letting me know that the account was canceled. They are still charging me. Everytime I call, its the same answer. Too bad. What kind of company is this?

I have had VERY similar experience, except I have yet to get through to a real person (hold hold hold), although I have emailed several times! I have no idea how they got my credit card number! I have at least 6 months of unnoticed charges - for absolutely NO SERVICE OR PRODUCTS... I can't even use their service if I wanted to - I'm a Mac user... And to top it off they got a AA rating from the LA BBB - guess they have LOW standards!

Stamps.com let's start a class-action lawsuit against this company

This company never notified me that they would charged a monthly service of $15.99 for the same services that you can get for free directly from USPS.com. Stamps.com not only block you from buying insurance directly from USPS so you have to purchase insurance from Stamps.com instead.
Stamps, com is using the same tactics like from the good old credit report dotcom, and many other outfits on the Internet using confusing information and lured you into signing up for services that would cost you a monthly fees, and try to buried this monthly service fees into the stamp purchases, so you can not tell if you are paying this monthly service fees.
If there is a lawyer out there, let;s look into this company's practices and see if we can make the lawyers rich.
We need to stop stamps.com from charging others for services they have no idea that they were being charged monthly.
I can be reach at [protected] if you want to know the details.

I've been trying for months to cancel my account. It's almost impossible. Today I received the latest bill from them. This is hopefully the last communication I'll have to send them:

Hey, Stamps.Com
In all my years of purchasing services online, I have never been so disappointed, and have never had to jump through so many hoops to cancel an account (I usually do not get so fed up to spend the time to write letters either.)

I want you to cancel my account immediately. I have records of the emails that I’ve sent to you requesting this. I actually sent you a check on November 10, 2011 to pay off my balance, with a note requesting that you cancel my account immediately.

It is now December 3, and I just got another bill from you. I try to call you but your ridiculous phone system does not have after-hours options, and doesn’t even give callers the ability to leave a voicemail.

I would actually love it if you dropped the charges altogether—as I have mentioned several times before to you through email (because your call center does not accommodate my schedule), I have a Mac, and cannot use the services I’m being charged for.

However, I suppose if you just took the $XX.XX that I supposedly owe you for not providing me with any utility at all, I would be fine with it as long as you stop sending me bills and didn’t contact me again. That would be worth it to me.

I started writing this letter by hand, but then decided to type it so that I can send copies to Consumer Affairs, and the Better Business Bureau.

By the way, as you may have noticed I’m paying the USPS extra so that I have proof that you got my communication this time. The USPS should be ashamed to have partnered up to do business with you.

I am requesting for the last time for you to CANCEL MY ACCOUNT IMMEDIATELY.

Stamps.com Fraudulent and deceptive

I went to the Stamps.com site to find out what their services cost and whether their software worked on mac's. I had to create a login to get the information. By then they considered me a customer and started charging me for the service without me confirming I actually wanted to use it. As soon as you send for the "free" kit you are signed up. I thought they were just confirming that I wanted the service but no, they were charging me for a service I didn't want.

I decided that their price was too high for my small usage and would not have signed up. I don't know how they got my credit card. Ordinarily I stop at the point where a website asks for a credit card.
I don't want to retrace their website to see how I fell into their trap.

They won't let you cancel online. They make you call during Their business hours. They say it is for security but the "security questions" they wanted verified could have been asked online. Finally I called to cancel the service. They still expect me to pay for 2 months of service I never used.

Stamps.com Filling Out a survey for game points.

So my husband filled out a survey for Stamps.com so he could get some points for a game he plays. He never included anything other then his e-mail and name. Just yesterday we get an alert from our bank that we had a withdrawal from Stamps.com. I asked my husband about it because he has signed up for things before and not told me, but this time it wasn't something he signed up for.

After talking a bit he said that he did take a survey for them but he never remembered giving them anything other then then his e-mail and his name. Well from just that they were able to get the bank information and other information about him.

Apparently there was also a "trial period" that apparently came with him filling out the survey. Like I said above last night we were charged for it. So warning NEVER fill out a survey for stamps.com they will some how get your information and charge you for a service you don't want or plan to ever use. The only good thing was that after calling the number on the website and got a refund but that isn't stopping me from warning the rest of you about this.

Hi NightPrincess88,
Stamps.com would like to apologize for the customer experience you encountered. It is important to note that Stamps.com NEVER offers any form of incentive to complete a survey for our company. If we do conduct a survey, it would be sent to our existing customers asking them to comment on our software features or alert us about possible new features they would like added to the software. That survey would come from Stamps.com and would not include any reference to a third party like you stated... "points for a game he plays."

From the experience you described, it sounds like a third party sent you a survey and misrepresented itself as Stamps.com. As I stated above, this would be an unauthorized action and would NOT BE APPROVED by Stamps.com.

The only way to sign-up for a Stamps.com account is to come to the site and manually input personal information including credit card details. In our account registration process, Stamps.com describes our billing process in detail including how our 4 week trial works. Based on the experience you described, it sounds like someone fraudulently used your personal information and signed-up for a Stamps.com account without your knowledge.

So we can better assist you, could you please call our Stamps.com Customer Support team at [protected] (open Mon-Fri, 6am to 6pm PT)? Our support team will research your account and determine what type of action needs to be made.
Sincerely,
Eric
