Sprint continued billing for expired phones

in august of 2014 I was going into alcohol treatment program. I was paying for 2 phones for my children. I could no longer pay for those 2 lines. Sprint said I had a contract until august and October of 2015. they would not work with me to reduce my $25.00 each or $50.00 total per month for 2 lines not used. they then said just put them on hibernation and that would not cost me per month. I did, only to find out by accident that this method did not take time off my contract period. so I resumed paying the $50.00 extra.
Sprint billing on paper and online, nowhere does it tell you when your contract IS up. so I called and found the my contracts where up as of the original dates of august and October 2015. that I was not penalized for putting them on hibernation. so I ended up paying $250.00 more for combined 10 months of service.
the worst part is the horrible customer service. they will not work with me, will not compromise, they purposely confuse you and then not make it easy to find out your expiration dates. they will not respond to my complaints.
I want a $250.00 credit for 10 months of phone lines not used, because you did not tell me the phones contract had expired. after you had confused me with false info on Hibernation plan.

Sprint billing, I called and cancelled a line was still billed for that line.

I cancelled one of my phone lines and was still charged for the line for three to four years. Sprint customer service reps are not always veracious. I did however speak to one lady who was very nice and admitted that Sprint had not abrogated the line even after I called.
I canceled my service, paid up the entire bill, Sprint had the nerve to bill me again and what was included in the bill, the line that had been canceled, which had been discussed and re-discussed. I got a manager on the line that sounded like she was in the Philippines, put me on hold for twenty minutes and came back on the line and verbally expressed, yes I see that there was no activity on the line for years, however I cannot fully determine if you canceled the line so I cannot approve credit and even though you canceled, we are still going to bill you one last time.
Did she not hear herself speaking and how irrational that sounded, that I would call and cancel service for the line however I don’t want the line canceled. After seeing how the company had taken advantage of me, the last bill should have been waved, of 173.92 as the prior rep had said would happen.

Sprint does not have good sound business ethic and looks at only bleeding the public in any way they can. A company needs more than a good product, they need strong business ethics and morals, truthful trained customer service reps and managers. Looking forward to now saving money at a different provider, so beware Sprint is not truthful when it comes to taking your money.

Sprint fraud, advising customer of a "better" plan

Dec 2015
Westminster California authorized Sprint PCS store
Upgraded to the iphone forever plan at $5 month for being a loyal sprint user. We have been with Sprint for over 15 years.
James the sales rep instructed my husband that to get the best deal he would open 4 lines for flip phones (we currently have 4 lines on the account) and reduce our monthly unlimited data to 20GB as one of the existing lines has minimal usage. Our monthly rate would be reduced and the phones could be inactivated.
Unfortunately my husband went for it.
Wrong - first bill was over $400!
Tried to resolve with customer service over the phone we were instructed that it has to be done by the store.
Went to the store and James worked on it and instructed us to pay $344
We are not delinquent.
Called customer service again as we now have a bill for over $600 to include activation fees on the 4 lines, insurance and taxes. They suspected fraud activities at the store and would elevate the concern.
No resolution
Called the store again - spoke with Tatiana the assistant manager. She was at least will to help. All other avenues to resolve this and to try to understand what the sales rep was doing was met with dead ends.
We even got a call from India from Dolly who was trying to verify our employee discount since we worked for Chase Morgan, Well no we do not work for Chase. Again was this part of a greater scam?
This is a crazy and very unethical method of doing business. It is very upsetting and disappointing after being with sprint for so long.
No one wants to deal with this, We have been lied too about the elevation process and at this point I am not sure the bill is straighten out.
We cannot talk to anyone, we cannot work on the website as we are "delinquent" Sprint has clearly changed their attitude with regard to customer service.
James was no doubt up to something to cushion his numbers.
We need to have a full refund for the 4 additional lines ( why 4 flip phones?) insurance taxes etc refunded. We need to go back to our unlimited plan - and we would like James reprimanded for his actions. My husband trusted him as we were at an Authorized Sprint PCS store.

Sprint prepaid phone card

I have a prepaid phone card with Sprint for several years and today I tried to make a call and was informed my account had expired. There is still money on this account and I used the card just two days ago and it worked fine. I called the # for service and was told my account was expired and cut-off.

Sprint deceived into signing phone leases!

I am a Sprint customer for the past seven (7) plus years. Last month when my most recent two (2) year contract with Sprint ran out, I tried to purchase three (3) new phones in a Sprint store that were advertised online at a promotional price. (I have proof of this promotion). When the Sprint representative started to activate the phones, the prices did not show up as the online promotional price. So he called Sprint customer support and the phone support personal mentioned that the promotional price is only for online customers and not valid in the store. So I refused to get the phones and mentioned to the phone support person. He then told me that if I get three new phones on a lease contract, then Sprint will give me a loyalty discount of $10 per line per month. So I accepted and leased the three new Iphones on a lease contract. My first bill came and there was no loyalty discount on it, so I contacted Sprint and I was told by a representative that loyalty discount takes 1 to 2 billing cycles. (I have proof of this chat with the representative). Then the second bill came without the loyalty discount so I contacted Sprint again and now they told me that the loyalty discount is not compatible with the plan that I have. I talked to the supervisor and then the manager online and they are refusing to give me the loyalty discount. I believe Sprint deceptively made me sign up for a lease contract and now reneging on the loyalty discount.

The loyalty credits are compatible with the legacy plans. As long as you didn't change your plan to the newer plans you should get your $10 credit per leased device. Legacy plans include the data share 1500 or the unlimited my way. Hopefully I was able to help.

Sprint wireless service

When i was ordering the phone on Nov 27th 2015 they never told me they are leasing the phone and I do not own the phone. They get you to order somehow and later cencellation is a big ordeal. They did not provide the the details of agreed upon rates by email and conveniently increases it after wards. Due to black friday they said i have $9.99 on per month as cost of phone but later they said its $16 something per line. I returned the instruments at Sprint store due to changes in their terms. They continued to send me the bill even after 2 months and claim i have the phones. It took me many phone calls to get them to agree i returned the phone. When i asked them to say this in an email or a text message they refuse to do so. One of the most frustrating experience.

Sprint unethical behavior

I am the manager at Great Clips, which is located next to one of sprints corporate stores, I am also a customer of sprint. We understand you sell electronics and like to demo them for your customers but, should a young child getting a haircut hear the words "Back that ### up", through the walls. You could choose a more appropriate station to help your demos. As a sprint customer I know that your customers can be in your facility for hours at a time, you are supposed to have a public facility available for them, we do not appreciate having to clean up after your customers. Again your customers are in your stores for a period of time, they should not be blocking our place of business for hours upon end. Extremely fed up

Sprint billing

Sprint gave me a $200 credit on my bill and since we had just upgraded our phones and plan we thought that was the reason we got the credit so we paid the $8 bill they sent us and life went on as normal until the following month when we got a $500 bill because someone decided the credit was invalid and now they are threatening to shut off our service because we didn't pay the amount we should have. I'm not sure how in supposed to know what to pay if sprint is not competent enough to bill correctly

Sprint shady business practices

I was looking to help my daughter change cellular carriers from AT&T to either T-Mobile or Sprint because she needed unlimited data. On October 12, 2015 I made calls to both carriers and T-Mobile came in slightly higher in monthly charges but a better overall rating in call quality in SoCal. They mentioned for my daughter Grace to have her contract bought out, she’d have to turn in her old ATT&T iphone. I then called the Radio Shack-Sprint store in Santa Monica 2008 Wilshire Blvd, Santa Monica, CA 90403 and spoke to the Sprint manager, Tyler. He put together a plan for my daughter and flat out told me she could get her contract bought out and “still” keep her old AT&T iphone. That was attractive because she could sell the phone and use it towards her Sprint bill. He told my daughter the same thing in person about being able to keep old phone while having contract bought out. Long story short, she had some issues with dropped calls in Malibu where she frequents. She was planning on returning the phone before 14 day trial but since she’d be able to sell her old AT&T iphone, she was going to put up with it. That’s when we found out that to have Sprint buy out the phone, you absolutely have to turn the phone in. This is not what Tyler said and he allowed me to record him at a later date where he admitted he was given incorrect information on the program. I have a big issue with this because he is a store manager and should know better about the program, especially concerning buyouts, etc. Whether this was intentional or unintentional, it was not fair to my daughter to provide incorrect information and for him to think it's ok to chalk it up as misinformation he was given. I see online that several Radio Shack Sprint reps like him have given incorrect information leaving customers frustrated and angry. We returned the Sprint iPhone and she switched back to AT&T. Sprint went and referred my daughter's account to GC Services collection agency. Granted, this was probably before the phone was received but I will so extremely angry if when phone is received, Sprint tries to charge ETCs on her account. There was blatant fraud here committed by the store manager Tyler. I mentioned this when calling to Sprint care and spoke to Deborah- reference #QQPH36W. I am certain other Sprint salespeople are doing the same thing nationwide just to sell plans. Intentionally providing false information to sell plans. I need Sprint to do the right thing and not charge any ETC's. B. Bene

Sprint sprint's cut your bill in half program. sprint stole my prior cell phone!!!

I tried Sprint's cut you bill in half program which had a 14 day trial period. I turned in my Verizon phone a Galaxy 5 and Sprint was to payoff the amount owed on my Verizon cell phone ($399) and I leased a new Sprint phone. I had problems with their service dropping calls during the 14 day trial period and so I returned the new Sprint cell phone back to them and paid them the amount I owed for service during the trial period. I asked for my Galaxy 5 phone back and was told it was sent to a warehouse and they would try and get it back. They told me they found in it the warehouse and would send it back to me. Well, after 3 months I still have not received it back and now they say they cannot find it and I am getting the go around between the Sprint store and their customer care department. Neither are getting the problem resolved by reimbursing me for the $399 that I had to pay to Verizon. In essence Sprint stole my Verizon cell phone from me! This happened at the Sprint store at 8460 Farm Road in Las Vegas, NV. [protected] on September 8, 2015, it is still not resolved. I have spent hours and hours on the phone with Sprint without any resolution.

Sprint customer service/billing

I have been a customer for over 15 years. I have also been paying for the insurances on my phones since then. However, I have never used it because it was cheaper to get a new phone rather than get the same phone and pay $150 for deductible. My phone bill has recently sky rocketed due to extra add-on charges for data being assessed plus the insurance and taxes on top of that which ends up being a total of $100 plus dollars in these extra features. Now that I'm behind they will not honor a payment extension and require that I pay half of the balance due, plus I want them to remove all these extra add-ons but they won't because I cannot pay the $227 they demand yet my bill is coming out and I will get charged a late fee plus the bill and those extra charges. I was on hold on and off for 2 hours and on the chat and the reps tried to tell me that insurance on my phone was like a car insurance! Go figure! Nothing was resolved other than upsetting me and trigger me to look elsewhere for a better plan with better reception and better customer service. Very disappointed with Sprint and their customer service skills!

Sprint phone replacement insurance policies sold by sprint

When we purchased our 4 iphones phones through sprint in ladera ranch, california (october 2014 & may 2015) we were told by both the manager and sales staff that it is advisable to purchase the phone replacement insurance plan offered by sprint as "if anything happens to your phone during the course of your contract with sprint, sprint will replace the phone for no charge". We inquired as to different scenarios which would require replacement, this included dropping the phone, cracking the glass, losing the phone, battery issues, and so on. We were assured that if you purchased this plan, "anything and everything is covered, no exclusions, no down time for repair. Just bring the phone in to any sprint store and it will be replaced for no charge". We purchased the plan for all four phones. One of the iphone 6's fell from my hand this morning and landed on the carpet. The entire screen splintered into a spider web. No worries said my husband, we have the insurance plan through sprint. Just take it in and get it replaced. I took my phone to the sprint store in ladera ranch. The manager indicated that yes, we had insurance but no, they were not required to replace and/or repair the phone at one of their repair facilities. Instead, what I would be required to do was to contact their insurance carrier, assurion and assurion would overnight a new phone to me upon receipt of which I would return my damaged phone to them in the envelope provided. I asked if the phone I would be getting from assurion would be a new iphone 6. The manager indicated that it was not a new phone but rather a "certified" refurbished phone. I stated my phone was exactly a year old today and was in pristine condition. Are they going to replace my phone with a phone in the same or better condition and a year or less old? She said she did not know and I should contact assurion directly with that question. Okay. Not pleased but we decided we would give assurion a call. Called assurion, during the "hold" recording, it was stated that you will need your credit card to pay your "deductible". What? We paid for an insurance plan, we were never told there was a deductible. I spoke with james. James indicated that in order to proceed I would need to disable certain programs on my phone including find my phone. I asked if they were planning on transferring my data to a different iphone during this call. He stated no, it was company policy. I indicated that prior to proceeding I needed to ask if the replacement phone was the same year model, the same year age and the same condition as my iphone (with the exception of the cracked screen). He indicated that assurion does not guarantee that you will receive the exact same model, year and condition as your phone. They may not have the exact same phone in stock and if so, they will provide you with a "comparable" replacement. James, please define comparable. Does that mean a newer version, older version or a completely different phone all together? James indicated that this was up to assurion and by releasing my phone and making a claim, I was agreeing to this policy! I then asked if he could please check regarding a deductible as we were not told by the sprint employee who sold us the plan that there was a deductible. James indicated that the iphone6 was a "tier 1" phone and the non-refundable deductible was $200! Fyi it is $150 to get the screen replaced at the apple store and takes 5 minutes. Plus, there is no deductible and, you get to keep your own phone. If there is anything wrong with your phone, anything (other than the cracked screen), apple will generally replace your phone with a new phone for no charge. To summarize, we did not release the phone to assurion for repair. We will be sending a letter to sprint regarding their false representations of the insurance policy that was purchased as had we been given the actual facts and not a lie, we would never have purchased this insurance, ever. We feel extremely misled by sprint. Their peddling of this plan and the manner in which it is sold is intentionally misleading and a willful, malicious act toward the consumer. This insurance plan is a complete rip off! It has been cancelled.

Sprint no service and no help

I have been a Sprint customer since they came to NYC. Last week I noticed that I had no service where I live. I have 3 phones all different types of equipment. All had the same problem. I called Sprint Tech support. After being told my call would be answered in less than 30 seconds (10 Minutes later). I got tech support who walked me through doing trouble shooting things that I already did. The tech told me it was a Samson's related issue. I told her that I had 3 phones not all Samsung and they were all having the same problem and it changed when I left my neighborhood. I might as well had been talking to the wall. So she would not open a trouble ticket and told me to call Samsung. I did just to ask if there was any known issue even thought I knew it was a waste of time, considering that I have 3 different make phones. Back to Sprint. More time than the same stupid trouble shooting. Finally a ticket. They see a cell site is underperforming in my area. Just to check it out the re triangulate my phone to the second nearest site a my reception appears again. One problem. If I leave the area the cell will try to connect to the closest cell again. I would use wifi calling but it is not stable on the Galaxy 5. So I have to wait for the ticket to be addressed. Three days later still no service. Call sprint. The ticket is closed and problem is fixed. No it it's not! Call again same stupid trouble shooting same same again a ticket and a promise that a tech ( engineer will call, that day. Good luck. Two days later ticket closed. Problem solved. Still NO SERVICE. Call again ask to speak to a supervisor. Instead they send me to retention. Even more insane. I get told by someone "Tom" how great Sprint is and they are spending 5 billion dollars to rebuild towers. How if I go to Vz or Att it might even be worse. I say "I don't have any service". How much worse could it be". At that point he tells me there is nothing he can do and disconnects. How can this be service? I can't get any! All I want is a working phone. I would leave but it is not that easy I have fees. I didn't want to leave but feel Sprint itself is so embarrassed by what it can't solve it creates a bigger mess for the customer! It is time for the company to take some responsibility or go bye by !

Sprint refusal to stop service

I called Sprint on April 24th, 2015 to have my phone service stopped. I had not used it since March 18th, 2015. After some questions, they said it would be shut off at midnight, April 24th. The bill was due May 4th, which I paid on time. I also received a full bill for June 4th, which I questioned, but paid on time. Then I received a bill for July, so on June 29th I visited the Marion, Indiana Sprint store. After much haggling, they said it would be shut off at midnight, June 29th, acknowledged that I had called Sprint to cancel on April 24th, but said I would have to pay the July bill. I refused. I keep getting monthly phone bills, July, August, September, which I have been ignoring. Now they have turned this over to collection. Sprint should have cancelled my account on April 24th as they said. I will not pay anymore into Sprint.

Sprint iphone 5s locked to sprint

I purchased few months ago from ebay a new IPhone 5s locked to Sprint US. Phone was never activated on Sprint network. Based on Apple DB information the phone was a replacement.
I tried to contact Sprint many times to unlock the phone to be used in Canada. It is like talking to the walls, same excuse that the phone must be activated in their network in order to be unlocked. I asked them to provide me an option how to do that in Canada where there is no Sprint wireless. Same answer, they can't. Same answer from Apple. My frustration is that all this locking business is just a dirty game between those carriers and Apple. It is a shame for both those 2 companies to treat people like they do. If those phones are considered "illegal" by Apple and Sprint why are not blacklisted so people will not buy it. Those are not cheap phones.
Apple should be also regulated by the government to stop all this locking nonsense. In fact Apple control all the unlocking in their DB.
I regret every day I purchased an iPhone, such an hassle compare with an Android phone.
Thank you for reading this,
Cris

Sprint device protection

My Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 has been water damaged which is covered under the device protection plan. To date I have paid $195 in device protection for this device alone. I call and file a claim after having to go to a store to get the number. They say my claim is approved and ask me for $50. I didn't have $50 at the time. So now about a month later I have the $50 and I call to have my tablet replaced. In the meantime I am still being charged for service to this device including device protection for a device that no longer works. After going on chat to get help since none of the numbers provided have real people, I get a number that is automated and keeps saying the phone number I entered isn't valid. That's because Im not trying to replace a phone. Also, I am getting warning messages for going over my limit on my shared data plan because we are using our phones to do the stuff we would normally do on the tablet, which is now broken! While speaking with the agent at Assurant, the company who provides my device protection I learn that I also have to pay to ship my old device back to them. So lets add it up, $195 paid in device protection, $50 deductible, one month of service to non-working device, $50 and postage. That's $290, minus the credit of $80 they say they gave me to cover this is a total of $210 to replace a device that I can buy brand new today at Walmart for less than $100. To cancel all my services and leave Sprint forever? $459.19! They can to straight to hell!

Sprint I cut Cold Turkey when they sent me an erroneous bill for for 2 months of cell phone and internet usage charges for $1400.
Advice - Do what I did ! Get them on the phone and argue your point and make your statement about how they screwed your bill and your life up ! Tell them you will seek counter measures to reclaim my credibility ! Report them to anyone using their services and boycott them ! They are a rogue un-American company ! Hope this helps you !
