Southern Energy Homes know nothing about customer service. I bought one of their homes not even four years ago now. Late within the first year the roof started leaking through some light fixtures. I called the salesman when I started experiencing these problems. His suggestion was to hire a roofer. I tried calling the customer service department to tell them about the situation but never could get through to anyone within the first year. Once I did get through to someone they told me that the house was out of warranty but to send in some pictures and they would review it. I've been in the house for 3 and half years and have mailed three sets of pictures and a couple of letters. They are denying my claim and trying to quote the owners manual to me saying that I have not kept up with yearly repairs on the roof even though I have. It was leaking so why would I not try to repair it?
This company does not seem to care about safety. My family is living a moldy fire hazard and Southern Energy does not care. This is a horrible company to buy from. I wish anyone trying to buy a mobile home would give me a call first so that I could tell them the whole story about my ordeals with this company. DO NOT BUY A SOUTHERN ENERGY HOME UNLESS YOU HAVE A DEATH WISH. If you have questions or suggestions I will be more than happy to reply to them through gmail. a l l 4 b g b @ g m a i l . c o m
