Do not be fooled, this is a puppy mill operation. Yes, it is on a small scale and is a newer facility but is located on a huge property all by itself. The owner arrived in a golf cart when we came to see a puppy. Her website shows her home which is no where on site. Dogs appear to be left on their own for long periods of time. Mothers of puppies were jumping up and down in their feces. We gave her a deposit on a puppy that would not be ready to leave for a month, even though we had concerns about the truthfulness of her website. When we asked to see the father of the puppy he was brought out from the back of the facility and was shaking like a leaf, obviously not used to being around people. Even with all of these bad signs we were desperate for a malti-poo puppy. Unfortunatly a week later we had a tragic family illness that would require me to move in with a family member. I notified Martha that I could not take the puppy and would like my deposit back until the situation was resolved. She refused to return my deposit even though I offerred to pay her ad fee. She was as nasty and unconcerned as anyone I have ever met. I even asked if my deposit could go toward a future puppy and she never returned my email. I never signed a contract with her and she had plenty of time to resell the puppy. I found her to be a terrible person to do business with and want to warn future buyers to think hard before you give this person your money. Her warranty for her dogs is also deplorable.
