I made the mistake of choosing South City Packers Movers (http://www.southcitypackersmovers.com/) when I got a job in Bangalore and had to move my household goods from Delhi to Bangalore.
South City Movers Packers insisted on premium pricing and 80% advance under the promise of delivering great service.
After not getting my goods on the due date, I checked up only to be given the drivers number and left on my own to fight it out with the driver. The driver said he does not care about south city movers and packers and demanded extra money.
Before getting the business, South City used to attend or return every phone call from me, however after getting the 80% payment they stopped accepting my calls and even disconnected calls when I called from a different number.
Out of the 15 items, 13 were damaged. They charged 3% of goods value as insurance fee but gave only a scanned copy of the insurance cover note and did not accept any request to file a claim when the goods were recieved in damaged condition.
When finally I was able to get through to their manager at the time of delivery, he said that please make the extra payment to make the driver go away and he promised refunding the amount the very next day into my account. Since that day, the manager is not is never available on the phone and the extra money I paid has still not been returned to me.
Finally I have :
80% of my goods damaged
Been made to pay more than the agreed amount
Excessive mental tension for a week
I hence suggest everyone to not use South City Movers Packers even for free.
