Sony Headphones - poor quality

I bought my Walkman around 4 months ago after much debate on choosing Sony over Apple (my previous choice over the years). Keeping my faith on Sony's high quality audio products I bought my Walkman. The initial month was great but over the 2nd month the headphones provided with the Walkman started to fail and after a week or so stopped playing on one ear (My Apple headphones though inferior in quality lasted me more than a year). Considering that Sony supplies quality premium products I was assured that I would get it repaired or replaced. But Alas! Sony service center representatives do not think it is part of the warranty and refuse to give me any consolation whatsoever. I have lost all faith on the SONY brand if this seems to be service and quality of products provided by your company. Apple was my first choice and now I think it should remain my ONLY choice.

Sony - defective product

I purchased a Sony Bravia flat screen television (model KDL40S4100) in Novermber 2008. Today, the televison stopped powering up. I contacted Sony Esupport by telephone. I advised the representative that the tv would cut on, and a second later would shut off. The tv's standby button was flashing red. I was instructed by the Sony support technician to unplug...

Sony Nightshot Plus Problem

This is not exactly a complaint, but a post to get suggestions from users or manufacturers to help me.

I have been using the Sony Handycam model DCR-SR4o for over an year and quite satisfied with it. But, of late, whenever, I switch it ON, I get "Nightshot Plus" indication and the picture quality is not at all satisfactory.

Can someone tell me how to overcome this problem?

Sony Customer service product reliability

The yellow light of death is a result of some chip falling off the board because it over heats and the solder melts because the system can't handle the graphics. Shouldn't this be a recal for ps3 systems? Nope instead Sony wants to charge you 180$ to send it in and fix it. Is it just me or is Sony the worst company in the world in dealing with customers. Not only do they make a product that is unreliable at best they don't even try to correct the issue. With all the warning labels being put on games and movies theses days how hard would it be to put a warning label on a game saying your ps3 will fall apart Sony won't do anything to help you, instead bend you and try to get more money out of you...

I bought a refurbished ps3 system 45 days ago. I was told it had a 1 year warrenty from sony. It worked fine for 40 days. Then blueray reader stopped working. I contacted sony tec service they told me send in the unit for repairs. The only problem i have is it will cost 99.00+cost of repairs. the unit cost me 245.00 . that is more than a brand new unit would cost. Game Stop says to bad . I feel that both sony and game stop both suck. No one wants to know any thing and i have a ps3 that dosent work.

i purchased a 60gb sony ps3 in S.A. in May 2017. Whilst playing with the machine in October 2017 it switched of with the game still inside.The machine was taken to the repair agents I.C.S.S. in November 26 2017.

The machine was then left until February 2017.When i made enquiries only to be told that the company had closed.I then made 50 phone calls where i have proof of the calls.I had then reported my complaint to Sony S.A. and was informed Robin Serabro that he cannot do anything as the do not have the machine.

When the machine was purchased it contained pamphlets of the customer care repair centre as I.C, S.S was the authorised agent.The machine was taken there for repairs from previous repairs of my PS 2.

After my machine was handed in November 2017 and made enquiries in regards to the progress of the repairs only to be told the company was going into liquidation.

After being informed of this i later learnt that there were no authorised personnel in the country to repair it.

To date i had made numerous enquiries to the whereabouts of the machine and is now falling on deaf ears.

I went to asda in romford to buy a ps3 console i stood in the que for 20 mins at customer service with the box to buy the console only to be told there is none left.The deal was if you buy a game you get the console and game for £154.99.I was very upset and let down because it was still out on the shelf being advertised there was about 3 cases on the shelf and a big box advertising the deal so it lookd as if there was 3 consoles left to sell. I would like someone to get back to about it please yours faithfully c.rose

1 April 2017 - Sony released an update which removes the "Other OS" menu option. I don't have much money and the reason I bought my PS3 was because it does everything in one box (Bluray player, dvd player, Games console, media streamer, computer).
I use my PS3 as a linux computer daily (I am now) for web/email/office. Because Sony are removing this functionality means I need to go and buy a new PC - or not install the updat and lose other functionality.
If they are removing features that were selling points, and even advertised as such, should they not be responsible for ensuring alternative facilities are available for those that paid for and used these features?
There should be 2 versions of the update so that people such as myself do not lose functionality they use and need. That way people could choose to have the option or not.
There is suggestion that the reason this is being removed is because of security issues. If this is the case then why do they not address the security issue rather than removing functionality?
What to do ... whatever I choose will leave me out of pocket in one way or another and all through the fault of Sony.

Sony's customer reps were very rude. They hung up on me twice. I wanted to speak to a customer service rep in regards to a shipping issue. I am never home to receive packages, so i tried to make arrangements. They were not helpful, and the manager named NATHAN was particularly rude. He said Sony could not help my situation, and became IRATE. This made my blood boil. Shame on Sony for having such incompetent employees. This is behavior unacceptable especially for a manager. Nathan needs to be reprimanded.

I PAID R6000.00 FOR MY CONSOLE THAT IS UNREPAIRABLE.I CAN GET A REFURBISHED ONE FROM SONY AT A ADDITIONAL COST OF R2900.00, ALL THIS HAPPENED WITHIN 2 MONTHS AFTER WARRENTY.I ENJOY THE PS3 BUT IT WORKS OUT VERY EXPESIVE TO MAINTAIN.NOT VERY HAPPY WITH THE WHOLE STORY BECAUSE I THOUGHT SONY WAS A RELIABLE MAKE.

This is so bogus! Where have you ever heard that you've won a lottery, but you have to send money for fees, taxes, etc..., so what, they can afford to pay out millions on the one hand, but on the other hand, they apparently cannot afford the "processing" fees...
What total nonsense! Don't be fooled by these con men...Life is a circle, the seeds they have sown, deceit, anguish, misery, etc...they will soon reap...it is a fact of life that I have seen come to pass time & time again. May God have mercy on your souls!

Recieved this eamil yesterday after responding to the SMS message, note with help of gmail, if messages have after sender address...via.com at the end this means it has been sent via thirdparty or social networking group so CAUTION required
I have pasted the whole email, but what really opened my eyes as a likely scam is the request for Passport number date of birth etc, you dont need these to get a job so why!, to claim a prize. Ask yourself why so much personal information required prior and why not formulate a phone meeting to clarify especially if there is so much on offer even lotteries commissions have a more secure proceedure and are not invasive and personal detail seeking!

Sony Grievience for not entertaomomg warranty

I had purchased a cyber shot DSC-s950 from symphony Indore M.P dated on [protected] vide Invoice No. sw-9619 .
The shutter of camera stop functioning in July 2009 . I had sent camera through "Pankaj Refrigeration Rewa (M.P.) (Authorized dealer of "Sony Products) to your Jabalpur service centre to entertain warranty. In august 2009 Mr. Naveen from Jabalpur service centre had told me on my mobile that your camera will be replaced send the original documents and accessories given to you with the camera. I had sent all the documents and accessories to Jabalpur service centre through Pankaj refrigeration Rewa.
After parsing a period of one month when I made customer to Mr. Naveen for my camera he told me that your camera is damaged and camera is coming back from Indore without repair because warranty is void. When the camera will come to him he will return it to me. I got my camera back without repair in November 2009 from Pankaj Refrigeration Rewa(M.P.)
My compliant is that my camera got damaged during it transit between Jabalpur to Indore. My camera was not damaged till it reach up to yours Jabalpur service centre. On the basis of which Mr. Naveen had asked me for sending of original documents and accessories of camera for replacement of camera. Whatever damage found in camera I am not responsible for that. That's by I am entitled for getting warranty given by your company.
Hence kindly take necessary action to repair/replace my camera on company's cost and feed back about proceeding/Action.

Sony warranty not covered

I was told I was buying a warranty for a 1 time bulb replacement on a Sony DLP KDSA2000. The bulb went out 12/25/2009 and the warranty out 12/01/2009. Warrentech states they can not do anything and to call Brandsmart. I called them several times without resolve. I am so disappointed in all the money I paid for no assistance at all. I have a non functional TV and no assistance.

Sony Mother Board defective

I want to file a formal complaint to Sony Consumer Products regarding their defective Mother Board of the LCD TV Bravia X Series.
I bought 3 televisions of Sony for the first time in my life as I never trusted the products of Sony. Somehow the sales manager of Sony in Muscat convinced me that I am buying the best TV and it is not from any place but from Japan. I bought 46", 40" and 32". 46" Tv started giving me trouble by showing starts like on screen through out till you switch it off. My complaint to Jumbo Electronics in Muscat who are the agent of Sony was made sometime in November and now it is more than a month my TV is with them. Can you believe not once I was called or received any email from them that my TV has a faulty Mother Board. When I called them after a month to check why the TV is not repaired and sent back I was told their is no warranty. I bought the TV in May 2008, it was just 17 months and the mother board fails? I have used Toshiba, Sharp, Philips, Panasonic, Grundig, Telefunken etc and have never experience mother board spoiling in 37 years.
I spoke to the service manager and he said that there is no way he can replace the mother board unless I pay RO.150/= I bought the 46" for RO.1300/= which is double the price available in USA. Can you believe that we pay such high price and still we get absolutely bad service and attitude of the agent and their service manager?
My question is why was I kept waiting for a month and why was the TV not replaced or repaired and sent back home? Why should I pay for the faulty mother board? The TV is just 17 months and was hardly used as we were using 40" most of the time which is in the bedroom. They should have honoured their mistake and replaced it with respect giving respect to the customer and politely sent the Tv back, replacing with new one or even with the new mother board.
I want to make this complaint formal to Sony Corporation and want them to take immediate action in this matter as my TV is with the agent in Muscat. I really regret buying Sony TVs and from now I will never ever buy any of their product nor will recommend anyone.
Honestly when I spoke to the service manager after a month of silence and when he told me that mother board was faulty, I told him why did he not email Sony Japan about this matter and I am sure Sony Japan would have asked you to replace the TV not even replace the mother board? His answer was they will not replace the TV nor replace the Mother Board free of cost as he know their answer. So he kept my TV in his custody for more than a month doing nothing? What can you say to such ridiculous answer given by such responsible staff of Sony Muscat? Does he think that he is talking to a kid? Honestly we don't have any authority where you can make your customer service complaints in this country or I would have gone to the Ministry of Commerce and filed a case against Jumbo Electronics for keeping my TV with them for more than a month. Please do reply if this complaint has reached Sony Japan

I purchased a sony 40" LED 2 months back and last week the TV got problem. Service Engineer took my TV to Service center.
I don't Know when they will return back. Also there is poor response from them. They were not saying what is the problem with the TV.
I would never recommend any one to purchase Sony products.

Sony Sold Broken Tv

On christmas eve, I read about this deal that best buy was giving on a Sony 40" LCD + Song BluRay Player + Sony 5.1 Surround Sound System for an amazing price of almost $1, 300! I wanted to buy it right away so I called and the stores were closed so I call the 24 hour service and the systems were down so I had to wait until the 8AM on the 26th when the store who has the package deal opens. Well what I did was actually leave my place at 7:45AM Saturday morning and got out to this best buy and right away found the package and yes it was their last one. The full package was their last one because they had only one box of the theater system left but there were still tv's and bluray players. It was an amazing feeling at the store to get this deal that not many other stores even had because of one part of the package already sold out. I noticed that the sound system box had some damage on it and the sales associated made a joke about how these packages are treated when they are being shipped but that this units are packed up really well. We paid for the units and even set up that best buy rewards program and we got a free $10 gift card since our total came up to almost $1800 which we also put on our Best Buy Credit Card to take advantage of their 0% special financing.
We took the packages home and surprised our parents very much so and I slowly went into the process of setting up the surround sound system with all the wirings and speaker set ups on the walls. It takes a bit of time for all the measuring and hiding of those monster cables that I also had bought ( I really don't like the cables what come with the speakers, too tiny and cheap looking with no shielding of any kind). Now if someone takes as much time and dedication in setting up their surround sound as I do, they understand the amount of time it takes to make sure the speakers are at the right height/distance/volume before anything else.
After dinner I was finally ready for the LCD TV. We took it out of the book and put it on it's stand very carefull and I screwed in the screws to hold the stand in place. I put the tv in my mother's amoir and plugged it all up. My family was very excited to see how everything looks because this LCD is not only 1080p but also has 240Hz which makes the picture just outstanding to see.
Well guess what... we turned it on and saw a HUGE crack looking colors everywhere sort of thing and right away turned it off and inspected the tv. There were NO marks on the screen of the tv except for a little scratch near the middle towards the top of the tv. When turn it back on and there it was... a HUGE crack on the inside with NO marks on the outside. Right away I called Best Buy and spoke to a lady and she told me to bring it back in. It was 9:30pm and at this time I was very tired and I told her that if I am coming back in now that I want another tv (same one) or something extremely similar, nothing less. My brother helped me pack up the tv in it's box (showed no damage on the box at all) and we right away put the tv into the car and left for best buy. We literally got there at 9:58 and I parked the car outside. Went inside and I told another girl that I was here for my problem with the tv. She knew the story so she went to check with a salesperson on another tv that was similar because she said that they don't have anymore units of that model. While waiting we decided to just walk around and look at the tvs on display to see if I can find the one that we bought. Eventually I did and saw a box sitting there all by itself. Right away I went to find the girl and I asked her about this box and the salesperson with her came and looked and said that yes that is our tv. NOW at this point after what had happened I asked the salesperson if he could plug in the tv just so that we can check to make sure that there is nothing wrong with it. After he opened the box and removed the tv out of the box, he was about to plug it in and turn it on when this other man walked up to me. He asked me what had happened to the original tv and I had explained to him my whole day. He flat out told me that he is not returning the tv. I had asked him why and he said that there is no damage on the box. I told him that of course there is no damage on the box and that there is NO damage on the tv except for a small scratch which is not close to the location of the huge crack. This was apparently the sales manager which I found out later on when I asked him who he was because I wanted to talk to someone higher than he is and that was the general manage who was not in. He continued to tell me that he will not exchange the broken tv the store sold to me and that we are not getting our money back either. I kept asking him that this does not make any sense that why is this happening to us. At this point it was approaching 10:30 and the sales manager gave me one option of leaving the store with my broken tv or he will call the local police. I told him to call the police because I am not afraid at all, I was not there to cause any problems and that store was the one who sold me a broken tv. He did call the police on us and I had called my older brother who was listening in on the whole conversation over my cell phone and he had told me to leave and to see if corporate will be willing to help since this sales manager was being completely rude and inconsiderate towards customers who don't spend a couple of dollars at the store but nearly $1, 800. So they wrapped up our broken tv and brought it outside which at that time the police had shown up as we got to my car (which was parked right outside the doors of the store). The sales manager told the police officer that there is no problem anymore that we were leaving. At that moment my brother made a comment to the officer asking what is the law regarding a store selling a broken tv? He didn't hear him correctly so he walked up to us and asked what was it he had said so I explained to him very briefly what our situation was. I explained that we were not there to cause a problem but that this manager was being very rude to us and being completely inconsiderate to how upset we were for spending this much money for a gift for my parents and how upset we were that our first LCD tv was broken. The office told me that he has had problems which this store too and that he had stopped shopping there all together. He felt really terrible about what my brother and I just went through there but that when a manager says to leave the store that we really have to leave the store.
We got into our car and we drove home very shocked and upset that out of all places this happened at was Best Buy... we got home at nearly 11pm and explained what happened to our parents who then were in shock as well.
I really don't know what to do at this point, I am going to call corporate but I don't know how should I even go about getting this issue solved. I have never felt this cheated before in my left and it really hurts that our present to our parents was broken and I never even thought about check it at the store before buying it. My emotions got the best of me but now I know that if I am to ever buy something from a store to make sure that product works properly. Yes I did actually go and check out the BluRay player and surround sound system to make sure that they worked.
So now it is nearly 2AM and I have this broken 40" LCD TV in my garage and not sure what course should we take now. I know that we didn't pay almost $1800 for just a bluray player and a surround sound system by Sony.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sony Sony Bravia 55 inch LCD TV

I would like to file a formal complaint against Sony corporation for their unwillingness to replace a defective item.
We purchased a Sony Bravia 55inch LCD TV on 10/1...on 10/8 the item was received, and on 10/11 we installed it in our home. On 11/24 we noticed an issue - after having an authorized repair technician come out, it was determined that we needed a new radiation sheet, and display panel. On 12/1, both items were ordered - then, we waited, and waited, and waited. Multiple phone calls were made to customer service, parts, etc - I have 2 pages of names/dates/notes of who I spoke to. On 12/16 we were contacted by Sony offering us a refurbished unit. Based on the fact that we feel the item is defective, we don't feel we should have to accept a "refurbished" unit when the one that we purchased was only 6 weeks old at the time that the issue arose. The unit came w/ a 1 year warranty, and we also purchased a 2 year extended warranty, which does not appear to be worth the paper it's written on!
Sony is not willing to come and get the unit, issue us a refund - nothing - this is all they are offering. To compound the issue, now that the order has been placed for a refurbished unit, we have to wait 2 more weeks for the order to ship, then we have to wait for the shipping company to get it to us. We feel that we are getting the run around, and multiple phone calls to "customer service" are pointless - all they can do is apologize, and offer understanding for the frustration we feel.
I just feel that a company the size of Sony can stand behind their product a little better than this!

Sony Poor Quality TV, Customer Realtions

After $3048. 12/30/04 and 3 years out of warranty, finally getting to Customer "Relations" if one can call it that, offered absolutely no concern or assistance with a $200 Projection Lamp sold everywhere else from $80. This in and of itself is a Hi Def proof of their abject lack of responsibility and true customer concern. After some 50 Sony years, they're cooked with me. Never again. "Angie" could hardly speak English, offered absolutely nothing and further even said she is the highest level of customer relations after my "5" years out of warranty. She doesn't even know English arithmetic. The TV usage was nowhere near the 4, 000 hrs quoted as this lamp's approximate lifespan. Goodbye and good riddance, Sony. You might want to check out Apple's Customer Relations. Sony's is a joke, and the Phillipinos who run it are of course, scripted, but their poor use and understanding of English is pathetic.

Sony CORRECT SERVICE CENTER

SONY DVD RW, i purchased it in april in Hyderabad, MODEL NO- AD - 7220S. it is having warranty period, Now it is not opening (power indicator not blowing). Then I went dealer shops to ask about the services of sony, they gave sony servicing address across HYDERABAD city(BEGUMPET, BOWENPALLY, ABID). When I went there, Simply they are saying for system DVD WRITER, we are not giving service.

If service are not giving, why they are giving warranty.

Pls help me in this issue.

Sony dishonest sales tactics / not authorized sony dealer

I placed an order for a camera on 9/24/09 from Abe's of Maine. It was in stock and received a confirmation email and order number after the order. The next day, I received a voicemail from "Phil" from Abe's of Maine to confirm the order. Phil also sent me an e-mail posted below. When I first called Phil, I got voicemail. Then, when I called back, I waited on hold for about ten minutes. I finally reached someone else who tried to tell be that the battery that comes with this very expensive Sony camera is no good and that they would sell me a better "no memory battery." When I declined the battery, he began to sell me a memory card. I replied that I was happy with the battery that comes with the camera and I was happy with keeping my original order. The sales person was very short with me after that and it made me very uncomfortable about my order. Hopefully, I will receive what I ordered. Now, I really wish I would have bought from an authorized Sony reseller. DO NOT BUY FROM ABES OF MAINE!

I purchased a notebook computer through Abe's of Maine. I think they called me, instead of me having to call them, but I don't remember. In any case, when I received the call they tried to up-sell me a bunch of other things. I actually chose to go with their warranty, which I just found out today was through a company that is called RepairTech. RepairTech has dropped off the face of the planet and left a lot of people with broken goods and empty wallets. I am very upset with both RepairTech for cheating me and Abe's for suggesting and selling it to me. Avoid Abe's of Maine like the plague.

I agree that the email and phone call were strange and probably entirely unnecessary - I used Paypal to pay for my order, and got a similar email to the one above. When I called back, they said they needed to confirm my home address for billing (which shouldn't be necessary with Paypal). Ultimately, got asked to purchase an upgraded memory card, battery, and warranty as well, so I think it was just a sneaky way to try and get more money.

Sony Worst service, defective product

I bought the Sony Home Theater system DAV DZ-390 IN Aug 2009, from Home Town, Noida. After 5 week of use, one day it failed to operate give "Push Power Protect" error in the display. When I contacted the Sony, they promised in 24 Hrs Sony service person will visit my house. But it took 4 day and repeated call. They took a week to take the system for service, as it can't be serviced onsite.

My nightmare started after this. I used to follow up regularly, they give once excuse after other. After 9 week they said my system is serviced and delivered the system by some illiterate labor, who just let the system in my house. When I connected, I was horrified. Sound quality was just like 1 watt AM radio (instead of 1000 Watts RMS or 10000 Watts PMPO) with lots of noise DVD and USB not working. I again gave the complaint and this time also they took 10 days to take the services. As of today, it I haven’t received the system. Now they have promised to deliver the system on 29 November. I am really feed up with Sony and have given them an ultimatum that if I don’t get it on 29 Nov, I don’t want the system.

I am also trying to file a complaint with consumer court. If any one can help me, I will appreciate it. I am prepared to pay for this service also.

Sony Non charging

The sony ericssion hand set W 302, IMEI No. [protected] which I had purchased from M/s Univercell, Chennai, vide Inv oice No. UTN 749565 on 14th december 2008 with warranty period of one year has found charging problems during october 2009 and I had contacted the sony ericssion service centre at Thrissur( Room No 35/3376, Punjab national bank building Kuruppam road Thrissur )for repairing on 13-10-09 . On checking the set they informed that the set cannot repair and warantee does not cover the part which became out or order. As Iam not satisfied with their reply, for better inspection I had contacted the sony ericssion service centre at Cochin on 9-11-09 vide work order No. SE 309 ACH 11174 . But they had returned the set with the following remarks. " system connector wornout, charging track damaged, set not repairable, RWR scratches on panels " .
The problem of charging is happened during the warantee perios and I think that it is the responsibility of the company either to repair or to replace the set for which I had paid nearly Rs. 8000/-towards the cost of set.Early action is expected within 15 days from the date of registration of this complaint.

Sony CS series Fan Issue

I bought my vaio laptop in February 2009 from a local store. Its model is VGN-CS190. After a few months it started getting stuck and hung and the fan produced a lot of noise. The issue remained like that; infact after a few more months it started getting turned off automatically. When i used to switch it on again, sometimes it didnt start, and sometimes it did. I went to my seller. He told me about the CS series very common fan issue and that your fan needs to be replaced. Since it was in warranty, i availed the opportunity and got my fan changed after approximately seven months from purchase. A month later after repair, the fan has again started producing lot of noise and sometimes it gets stuck as well. It has not yet again started to switch off automatically due to the fan issue, but i know it will happen again. I have used other laptops as well and they are quite and calm. Mine on the other hand is very noisy. I have spent around Rs. 90, 000/- on it and i expect the best. Kindly do reply to this complaint at your earliest and please bring me a solid satisfactory answer. I bought this expensive brand as it speaks for itself but now i repent on my purchase. Please do something, either give me a new one or give me my money back... Awaiting your response..

Sony lay a way

I was paying on the due dates for my laya way but missed one
payment of Nov 4 2009 and as a result I had to make a payment
today Nov 16, 2009 or Kmart was going to put my layaway back in
stock. When I asked why could I not pay on the Nov 18, 2009 date
which would have been my final payment plus the payment I missed,
they told me I had to make up the missed payment today which I
think is rediculous since I planned to pay the whole thing off on
Nov 18, 2009 I have had layaways at other stores and even if I missed
one payment, they always, always allowed me to catch up on the
next due date. Why can't KMART have the same payment policy on
their layaways?

Sony Noisy fan

Dear Sony Vaio,

I am Ma Thet Mon Aye and I am writing this letter for the sake of your business.
I am an international student from Myanmar who is now styding in UCL (london).

I have bought VGN CS36GJ in this June 2009 in Singapore before I set off to London . And after 4 mths, I got the fan noise problem. It is really heavy noise that it irritates me alot.I am a computer science student who chose Vaio over Mac and I have alot of Sony products with me.

I bought it from Singapore and added IRSP which I thought is international warranty because of the sales person who told me that covers the warranty for UK too.
However, I found out that it don't cover in UK but in other countries.

I am shocked.I thought Vaio is an international brand which will cover its warranty everywhere.I mean at least the parts if the service fees cannot be covered.More, it is not even 6 mths yet to get the fan noise.

Addition, it makes me dissapoint alot that Sony Service Centre which cost me more than 20 GDP to call since I have to call everytime and they always reply me after 3 days and call me during the lectures leaving voice msg to call them back.You know, in UK, to call to Sony is not easy it cost me 35p even while I am waiting a stuff to hold my call.It really pissed me off.

They quote me for 200 GDP since my warrenty is not in UK. It is alot for a student like me.Plus, it is not my fault since I don't even do anything yet.I have checked out the shipping rates with FedEx, it will cost me around 200 for shipping to Singapore and get back from Singapore which really costs me alot and I am now in the corner.

I guess this will be my last Sony Laptop. I will never choose Sony again. I will never think second time. I was disappointed like this.

If there is no service that will do as a compensation for CS series, I guess alot of customers will go away too.

i purchased sony vaio (E 15 116/BLACK S0170035089) laptop on 25 aug 2012. 2-3 days ago its display has been damaged . so i went to the dealer -

although my laptop is in warranty period but he asked me for the charges without considering my warranty card. i got distressed after i trusted blindly on the dealer. keeping in view my educational career i want this to be repaired as soon as possible. if this won't be taken into special consideration then i would be definitely going to the "CONSUMER COURT" as there will be no other option left to me.

Hi! i bought a vaio sseries inmay 2012at Phuket central n back to india on the next day, i was very happy to use it in india while my vacation but it won't wok.iback to phuket on 30sept n send to the central they keep it 25 day's n call me that i can pick my vaio is repaired. i got it back iask them for wifi to check it they say no wifi n everythingh is fine but still problem n no one is responding.This is the Sony product n service if any one suggest me wat to do? tell me please otherwise im talking with my lawyer to file a case to sony n the shop.

Fraudulent service. About a year ago, my computer screen remained blank when I turned it on. There were, obviously, no error message to speak of, and no recent changes made to it. Note: the startup sound still worked, and my computer engineer friend looked it over and suspected a graphics card problem. He found this article for me saying that NVidia and Sony are accepting responsibility for the problem: http://esupport.sony.com/perl/news-item.pl?template=EN&news_id=349 --- even for those computers that were out of warranty. Not only did Sony fail to inform the technician of the repair [they just sent the part, and the tech was puzzled as to why a box with no dispatch order came to his office - resulting in a delay of repair of 3 weeks, during which Sony reps claimed was that the part was still being shipped en route], after the technician installed the new motherboard, we noticed that the sound was no longer working. Calling Sony back resulted in them saying "Sony solved the graphics card problem, you're on your own for any other sort of problem. Give us money and we can repair it for you [even though we, Sony, were the ones who sent you a defective motherboard in the first place]". *For Sony people reading this, here's proof that this is not a made-up story - my repair order is E52856954.

Don't buy sony vaio...There products are defective! I have had two and they were both worthless. I had to buy new computers after a year. On both of them, something was wrong with the color inside of the monitor. On the first one there was a green line down the middle and on the second one the monitor was always pink in the corners. In addition, the speakers broke. They keep making a buzzing sound and no one knows what to do to fix them. This is horrible. Wat is the point of having a computer that you can't see the monitor and can't hear anything from. You would be better off buying a new brand.

hello sony vaio... i am saba yahya i bought sony vaio laptop from malaysia on 13-03-2009 after 9 months the fan is making too much noise that is irritating me and i am mentally upset beacuse i paid extra money 199 ringit for the over seas service n warranty also but this overseas service doesnt cover Pakistan i dont know why...therefore before purchasing this overseas service i asked them is this applicable in Pakistan they said to me yes...i am very much disappointed from sony vaio...i ve many sony products but my charm is over...i am crazy about vaio laptops but unfortunetly this craziness is over because of this irritaing fan noice...please give me possitive response ...i'll be very thakful to u if i resolve my this problem

I have 3 sony vio laptops, i baught them for my family because i thrust of sonyproducts, but 10 monthes after i baught them, all the family became veyr verysad because of the fan problems first, then after some time the mother board of one of my computer are completly destroyed, .The problem is i paid to much mony for sony, but the service center in my country, Saudi Arabia can not cover the service. now i have a very bad and irretating impression about all sony product.all the time in my work location, i am telling every body trying to buy any sony product to take care from that terriblebad compnay, and i always tell them about my problem with sony, what can i do?

I totally agree with you guys.. I have been experiencing the same issue after 3 months . Worst thing is, its not only the fan problem but also the there was some vertical lines blinking on my LCD and often it took several minutes to start-up, like waiting for years for the windows to appear.

I am really frustrated with SONY, considering i chose SONY over MACbook . I should have bought MACbook instead of SONY ! Urgg..i realy hate myfself for doing the wrong decision.

DELL is better. I had a DELL Laptop for 6 years and until now its still working. I gave it to my brother and he said its still functioning really well. I had never experience any problems with DELL Laptops. ANd for that i give credit to DELL Laptops for a good quality.

I really want to replace my laptop with a new one and better if I can just return it back and reimburse my money. :-(

The next day (17th Oct) morg I had a hanging of keypad problem (Only in Down Arrow and End Key Only) sir. So I sent one of my friends to the same TMS branch within 24 hrs. They Told some unnecessary reasons, really I m not satisfied that reasons. (On 18th I moved to my grandma’s home so I unable to go to the TMS branch.) On 19th I visited the TMS branch and they replied to me,

“Please go to the Sony Ericsson Service centre sir, its common problem sir, they simply solve this hanging problem.”

In this regards the next day I went to Sony Ericsson service centre held at DB Road (Coimbatore), I am totally shocked to hear the reply from the service centre officials.

“Sorry sir, Water Lock on your mobile, so the mobile was not in warranty sir.”

At the time I not like to argue with the Sony Ericsson Service Centre Authorities, because they had some rules and regulations. I agree to repair the mobile, because I purchased that mobile to give a gift for my friend. At that time I had some urgent work in my office (Splitting of Companies in the Tally.erp9) so I am not contact the TMS Store.

Between 21st to 27th I am totally busy in my office regarding the some tally.erp9 issues and meetings.

On 28th only I got a phone call from the Sony Ericsson service centre, your mobile is ready to use now, I went to the service centre and got my mobile back.

On 29th Morg I visit “The Mobile Store Website“and post my complaint there. Evening time one person made a call to me and asks the proof of the Water lock in the mobile from the Sony Ericsson Service Centre.

I got and scan both the Purchased Bill and Job Sheet from the Sony Ericsson Service Centre and send the mail to that person who has from the TMS.

Today Evening He made a call and refused the said proposal sir.

Then I spoke to TMS (Sai Baba Colony Branch) They ask a letter from the Sony Ericsson the letter should be contains a “Yes sir, we are agree to sending a Water lock Mobiles to the TMS Stores…! (just think, If it is possible sir.) I am from Financially Middle Family sir, they simply through me like a baseball.

I really suffered form lots and lots of people’s sir.

Kindly help me sir. WHAT I DO NOW….?
