This is a complaint re: Sonic #4325 located at 907 Jordan Ln. NW, Huntsville, AL 35816. I visited on the evening of 10/29/14. I made a purchase and attempted to use my Birthday Coupon for an order of medium tots, which was supposed to be free with any purchase. However, I was told by 2 separate workers that she (never specified who, but I assume the...

Sonic Drive-In sexual harassment and assault

My cousin who is 17 keeps getting harassed by the manager. She works at the sonic in the city West Texas. She had her cell phone put up and the manager kept grabbing her phone playing " keep away". My cousin then put her phone between her legs close to her private's. He then said what's that going to do. She told him you better not grab my phone. he then grabbed her phone from between her legs and punched her on the left arm leaving bruises. She asked for her phone back and to let her leave. He then have her phone back and and he then punched her on the right arm leaving more bruises. She is afraid to call the day manager because her son is the one that is harassing and assaulting her and is afraid of retaliation from both parties. I am asking that you handle this situation properly or I Officer Rivas can handle it according to the law. If you have any questions you can call me at [protected] or the employee at [protected]. Her name is Kaila Fisher. Thank you for time and consideration. The store number is 6141

While working at this Sonic, I have witnessed some horrible things. Disgusting conditions for food, drinks, and ice cream, horrible and bad attituded employees who mistreat and disrespect customers. Although these things are major issues, none compare to how the general manager presents himself. Literally screaming at employees for no reason, abusing hi...

Sonic Drive-In rudeness

I came to sonic a few nights ago and everything was just great. Well today I ordered a hot dog and a nerd slushy. First of all my nerd slush did NOT have nerds and they rung me up for a large but gave me medium. I told my carhop and she went and fixed it but it took 7 minutes to get it back out to me and it was watery. So I asked for another one. The carhop told me "YOU DONT GET MANY FREE THINGS IN LIFE SO GET OVER YOURSELF AND ACCEPT IT!" This is UNACCCEPTABLE! SHE WAS VERY RUDE AND GAVE ME A BAD ATTITUDE! THIS IS NOT HOW YOU TREAT CUSTOMERS. I called back in and asked for a manager and "Ana" told me there was currently not one available. I stormed out of there and figured I'd send this complaint to corporate! I don't know how they treat each other in that store but they will not treat customers like that! I will go to corporate or franchise whoever they are through. Negative employee attitudes and less-than-professional behavior can poison the workplace atmosphere. I am defiantly not being professional right now but I am so upset. Clean it up sonic schaad road!

Sonic Drive-In half - price shakes

Have visited to the Sonic Drive-In restaurant in Portales on three occasions this summer, all during the half-price shakes hours after 8:00pm. EVERY time they have given me a milkshake discount of about 35% and I've had to ask for the correct half-price and additional change. I complained to the local store manager and was told it was out of her hands, that "corporate programs our register and we have no control over it." They say they are doing nothing wrong because they are hitting the correct discount button on their register and its not their fault that people are being overcharged. The manager told me they refund the difference to anyone who asks for it. I called the Sonic national office contact number and filed a complaint regarding the false advertising of half-priced shakes and was told it was a local problem with the Portales Sonic restaurant and that they would resolve it. That was after my second over-charged visit. Waited like two weeks to try again and was still overcharged. Sonic is guilty of false advertising and fraud for systematically overcharging customers who expect to get a 50% discount on summer shakes after 8:00pm. Don't know if this is happening elsewhere as this Portales location is the only local one I can check, but CHECK your receipts! maybe there should be a class-action suit for fraud and false-advertising against Sonic Drive-In restaurants?

Sonic Drive-In inadequate training and un proffesional ism from management

My daughter kianna shed begin working at sonic on june 16, 2014. Kianna was extremely excited to begin a new phase in her life with her employment for sonic. Kianna begin working at sonic in mexia texas under management of breezy branier. I natasha busby kianna mother an unaware of her appropriate name. Kianna informed me that she was unaware of her trainers name her first day of employment. Kianna was informed that she should shadow her trainer for that day. On kianna second day of employment she was instructed that she would car hop. On kianna third day employment kianna was informed to get a headset without any training was expected to be able to perform these duties. Kianna came home extremely upset stating she felt as though she had not received adequate training and stated that her manager ms. Branier came to the establishment off duty not in uniform and counted her money bag. Kianna came home distraught in regards to her not feeling as though she had not received adequate training or was aware of her job duties. Kianna went to breezy branier and informed her of this. Ms. Branier stated she would work with her kianna was informed by one of her fellow co workers that she was unable to train her because she didn't have any patience. Kianna stated she felt as though she was unable to learn her job because their were so many different people telling her what she needed to do kianna was instructed to run back while car hopping. I kianna's mother informed her from a saftey aspect she would not run. On today july 14, 2014 kianna went to work and was informed that as a result of her not attending a mandatory meeting she was unaware of that she voluntary quit her job. Kianna called me upset stating she was unaware of this meeting. As an adult I am not arguing ms. Braniers decision but kianna took pride in her job she made every attemot to carry out her job responsibilities in an effective manner. I as a concerned parent have an issue with sonic of mexia texas training ethics of new employees (Especially 17 year old teenagers of which this is their first job). When speaking to ms. Branier she stated that they are trained briefly on the three stations and they are expected to be able to do their jobs. I informed ms. Branier that as a seventeen year employee of the state of texas that I was extremely humble that if missed a meeting mandatory or not that they didnt feel the urgency to dismiss me in such a manner as kianna was dimissed today. Also that I had received an adequate amount of training to perform my job duties in an appropriate manner and to the best of my abilities. As a former fast food employee I can say that I appreciate the patience and understanding that I received while working in the fast food industry. I could have only hoped that my daughter would have received the same compassion and teaching from her experience as an sonic employee. I as a parent can honestly say that I am displeased with my daughters initial work experience at sonic. The sense of family oriented and proffesionalism are not adhered at the sonic in mexia texas. Thank you in advance for your patience.

Sonic Drive-In rudeness and poor service

I ordered a medium sonic Oreo blast earlier today. As I was giving my order to the female employee I emphasized that I wanted extra extra topping and if I had to pay extra I would. The employee brought out a small size Oreo blast and I asked her was she sure that it was extra oreos in it. She said Yes the girl that made it put a lot inside it. Although I wanted a medium I accepted the small, paid for it and left. As I was eating it on my way to Whataburger I noticed that is wasn't many oreos in my blast and i went to the drive thru window and told the cashier that I had just left and I repeated my order to her. As I waiting for it to be made over I heard them laughing out loud as if they were saying smart comments. The cashier also had her back turned to me and I became angry and annoyed. So i made up my mind that I wanted their 1-800#. One of the females whom I later found out was the manager came to the window with a mini size Oreo blast. I told her I had a small. then She said that they rang me up for a mini blast when they had given me a small to begin with. I told her no ma'am it's not my fault that they misunderstood me and I wanted the regular small size like the they gave me a first and emphasized again that I wanted extra oreos. she grabbed the blast from me as if she wanted to snatch it and she became impatient with me when they were the ones in the wrong. I also let them know that I heard the comments they made and that it was very rude of them to treat me, the customer, this way. I paid for what I wanted and they didn't deliver. With an attitude she told me to pull down and I did so. The impatient manager was the one that brought it out to me and I told her I felt like she gave me the worst service out of the other workers. She kept and attitude and walked off with one. I never had to get out of my character at a fast food place in all my years of living in Vicksburg MS and I want this situation handled and I'm pursuing until it is taken care of.

I wouldn't recommend working at this Sonics because managerial staff made derogatory remarks and used profanity towards me while I was working. I was also threatened with writeups despite the fact that I was receiving conflicting orders from my superiors.

Sonic Drive-In harassment, interrupted breaks / no breaks, stealing of tips, and eventually loss of job.

My name is Ashley and up until June 11, 2014 I worked at the Sonic in Woodland Park Colorado. I was hired March 25th 2014. I was one of the hardest workers they had ever had (this comment made from various co-workers. Id cover shifts and go above and beyond my duties (despite how I was treated.) However a co-worker decided to make my life in the work place a nightmare. Everyday I would come in and right off the bat Selena would yell out I didn't know how to do anything right, she would bark commands she was unauthorized to do, ignore me when certain things needed to be made (resulting in the loss of product due to already have being made without knowledge) fibbing to get me fired, and called me cruel names. After I couldnt take it anymore I informed my regular managers, yet nothing was done. Immediately after I informed my GM Kurt, who in terms did nothing either. Desperate for a job, I dealt with the harassment. Soon after we would get swamped, resulting in Selena being the only one to take out my scans. At the days end, Kurt would take the money from all the employees and leave us with the original 20$ we started with, resulting in the loss of hours of tips. I soon moved on to drive through, and as a result of trusting my managers with my drawr on quick restroom breaks, I come up short after never once being short before. I was worked long hours with interrupted breaks or I didnt get the minimum breaks required. I started to have serious medical issues, which I was forced to work while sick or I would lose my job. I was forced to reschedual doctors appointments which in term led to me being even more sick because of the fear of losing my job. After a while I would come home every night crying from what I went through. All of this was going on while I was being harassed by Selena. In the end I was notified I was fired when I showed up to work and the managers said Kurt said I didnt work there anymore because I didnt show up on the first of June (a day where I had my shift covered.) I didnt get a call or abything. I was forced to return the uniform I paid for, with no refund. And in the end the ones who harassed me and stole from me still have their jobs. Id like to know what action I need to take because none of this is right. Please contact me at [protected]@gmail.com my name is Ashley.

I went to the Sonic Drive In to order a milk shake and found that the milk shake was not blended and was simply ice cream with whip cream. I took it back and it was blended better but they told me sorry we ran out of whip cream. So I feel I did not get my money's worth and will not be returning to this drive in in Country Club Hills, Illinois.

A couple of the employees I viewed hit a meth or crack pipe then noticed I saw them.. Next thing this Michael guy comes up and tries to sell me some! Police said they would look into it. I just don't think him or this Becky girl should be working at one of my favorite places to eat here in my town. Especially doing or selling drugs in and out of the store..

Sonic Drive-In hand washing and glove policy

While out for milkshakes with my family, we witnessed the grill operator, bare handed behind the grill, feed himself then reach under his apron and shirt scratch his stomach then proceed to remove 2 burgers from the grill with the spatula and bare just been in his mouth and on his stomach finger tips, then stick that same hand in the tomatoes. Managment told us that they are NOT required to wear gloves and hand washing is only done every hour or after restroom breaks. After managments explanation, the same grill operator who still had not washed his hands proceeded to fill what looked to be ketchup. This is absolutely disgusting, I personaly used to enjoy Sonic's food but I will not be ordering food from here again.

I watched as a sonic worker didn’t use gloves to prepare by breakfast meal when I asked the individual about it I was told the company policy is wash hands every 15 minutes I asked to speak to the Manager she said manager wasn’t there Latonya Harrington and she was the Assistant Mgr. it’s my opinion of course that hands should be washed more often when handling different foods as well as serving your customers with excellence. Don’t think I’ll try them again😡!……

Sonics hand washing policy is NOT every hour. That manager clearly doesn't know what he's talking about. It's every twenty minutes for at least twenty seconds. You must use the hand sanitizer after you wash your hands as well. There are no glove guidelines unless that areas health department mandates it but even is follows the same hand washing routine except you put on new gloves after. I can't believe that manager told you that!

Sonic Drive-In sort changed

I am deeply disturbed about an incident that occurred at the 2400 Bayport Blvd Seabrook, TX 77586. At this Sonic Drive in the quality control is awful I had ordered two double cheeseburgers and two orders of French Fries for takeout and consumption at home with my wife. When I got home there was no cheese and one French Fries was missing so I called the store at [protected] so I could tell them about it, and was hung up twice. This store has poor control and rude employees and rip customers off.

The sonic drive in, in the city of orange had listed on it's menu the price of a foot long hot dog combo listed at $6.19. When I got my food they tried to charge me $7.11. This comes out to 39cents too much before tax. When I questioned them about it no one could give me a good answer. Finally I was told that they had the drinks on for half price that day so they charged for the items individually. I tried to ask if the drink was half price, why was I having to pay more money. They still could not give me an answer. Their ordering computer is set up to rip off a few cents from most of the customers that order combos.

Sonic Drive-In bad experience

i am very disappointed with my visit at sonic in Norcross Ga on jimmy carter yesterday.
Me and my family had a really bad experience last night. This sonic has really bad customer service, first we waited like 10 min for somebody to take our order then we waited another 10 min to get our food this is a fast food restaurant i don't understand why they take so long? When finally a girl brought our food to our car she was in a bad mood and was very rude we ask her for some sauces for our chicken strips and popcorn chicken and she role her eyes at me she also took forever to bring our sauces and when we finally got them she wanted to charge us for them...
As far as i know the chicken automatically comes with a sauce i don't know why she was trying to charge us for it maybe because she wanted to keep it as a tip. I don't think that's the right way to make tips.. I always tip but this time i didn't because how i said she was very rude.
I really love y'all food and drinks but i will never return to this sonic again i do not wanna have another bad experience.
I guess im gonna have to go to the other sonic in norcross never been there before but imma have to go try that one.
I do not want to be contacted or anything im just doing this to let y'all know that this is not how you treat a customer.

I visited Sonic on Leeds Al last night 11/5/2017. I ordered a banana split and. a Sonic blast. When the girl brought me my order my banana split was in a cup. When I got home all that was in the cup was strawberry ice cream and whip cream. The taste was so bad I couldn't eat it. The m&m in the sonic blast was so hard my fried could not eat them. It was like throwing away $8.45. I as the girl why was the banana split in a cup she told me that was the way they we serving them now. Her name was Caloline. I was in stall #5.

A few SONIC notes (from a General Manager):
1. Service expectations set forth by SONIC Corp are:
a. Under 3.5 minutes to your car in a stall
b. Under 3 minutes to your car in a drive-thru
c. Your order should be taken via speaker in less than 10 seconds.
2. The appropriate way to prepare food items is TO ORDER. This is not to say that base products are not kept prepared in appropriate quantities based on business levels. I.E. If you order a SONIC Cheeseburger with Mayo, no onion then this item is prepared with a fresh bun (toasted to order), dressed after you order, with a meat patty that is already prepared.
3. Chicken should not be cooked after order in most locations as long as business is good. The chicken takes approximately 5 minutes to cook and would exceed the time limit if not pre-cooked and held.
4. Holding food product is a common procedure in restaurants of all kinds, formal and quick-service, and provides a better quality product in most cases.

Bottom Line: 10 minutes to order plus 10 minutes to get food is WAY outside the acceptable limits. As I mentioned, you should be greeted within 7 seconds of pressing the button and be receiving food in about 4 minutes or less.

Side Note: Although our carhops do, in most cases, make tip wages tipping is NOT required or suggested. We ask that you tip your wait staff ONLY if you receive excellent service. Carhop tips are monitored daily in my drive-in and are used to determine the carhop's success in customer service excellence. Low tips correlates with bad service, etc.

Side Note 2: Most operators don't fish the Internet for feedback from customers. If the issue is pressing, I recommend calling 1-866-OK-SONIC or visiting www.sonicdrivein.com. Either way will deliver your feedback to the appropriate personnel equipped to resolve the issue.

I believe Sonic cooks the food after they receive the order so it is not, in the true sense of the word a "fast food" restaurant. They probably had to deep fry those fritters just for you.

I've never heard of someone going to Sonic for chicken thingees...you go there for the hamburges and at least in my experience, for hot dogs. Maybe it's a Southern thing.

Sonic Drive-In repulsive employee

Sonic is one of THE WORST companies to deal with when something is wrong! I have searched all over the Internet for some kind of head office email I could send my complaint into and NOTHING! This shows their employees that they don't have to care about the job. Which infact is the reason I wanted to get ahold of head office in the first place ! My daughter has twitter and she showed me a picture of a employee from sonic named Sarah Mauch wearing her Sonic uniform in THEIR bathroom with her bare ### out! Sarah posted this picture on her twitter account sarah_mauch and sent it to hunter Moore. A guy who has thousands and thousands of followers and he reposts pictures of naked girls. I am absolutely disgusted ! This company needs to step up its game. My close friend owns her own company and I know she would not allow her employees to act in such a repulsive way ESPECIALLY in their work uniform! I will be telling EVERYONE I know about this and how sonic doesn't have any way of me contacting them. I hope they loose a lot of business over this and maybe re consider the people they hire!

This is absolutely stupid. The very idea that SONIC could police what goes in behind a closed restroom door is absurd to say the least. It would cause a HUGE liability issue if the management were to know this took place in the restroom using their own means, as it would violate privacy rights. Considering the nature of Twitter and Facebook and how employees tend to conduct themselves online (wanting no contact with the boss), there is a very low probability that they would come to know something like this via the Internet. Its not like she is going to send the photo to SONIC and say "Hey, look what i did in your restroom!".

Firing her for this would prove to be difficult if the law were to become involved considering the nature of privacy a restroom provides. Judges and lawyers would like to know, if this girl sued for this, how one came to possess such an image and if it may have been obtained through nefarious means, like cameras in the restrooms (which surely you know is ILLEGAL).

Finally, SONIC does provide a way to contact them. Had you visited sonicdrivein.com (which is the top search result on Google when searching sonic drive in) you would see a contact us link that can be used to send all this in via web form. Alternatively, you could have called 1-866-OK-SONIC, as is printed on every bag, cup, receipt, and menu board to tender your feedback.

Its not too late to do so. And, against all legal implications, the drive-in she works at would most probably fire her for this. They most likely would have done so if you would have simply contacted them directly. Please stop victimizing yourself by saying that SONIC doesn't offer contact info. That is false, plain and simple. You just didn't try hard enough to find the info so you started trolling around here like it was going to make a difference. Go ahead and waste your time doing nothing about it so she can continue to take half-nude photos behind closed doors to share with her on people on Twitter. Heck, while your at it, why don't you start blaming Twitter for letting her upload the photo? Why not, right?

Grow up and start acting like the adult you're supposed to be, please ma'am. If you want something done, you have to take a little more initiative for yourself...

You have a genuine complaint... you're getting nowhere with it... So you decide to take out your petty revenge by targeting one individual and naming and shaming her... be very very careful with this.

Re-posting and distributing offensive material is one offence, naming that individual is another. Why not go for a 3rd offence and make it easier for the judge.
