I used a botttle of SMB 's fuel injector and carb cleaner. Within one hour my 2000 chevy blazer, with the 4.3 liter 6 cylinder, suffered catastrophic faliure of my injection system, $1500.00 damage. Needless to say SMB denies any liabilty and since I bought the product at the 99 cent store, I Filed a complaint with there corporate offices. Can any one help me anyone have similar problems with chevy fuel injection after adding their product or any other.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
On aug.3 2022 I put a bottle of SMB high mileage fuel treatment in my 2001 Chevy S10 drove it about 20 miles an it started running like crap. Now my truck shakes real bad an sounds like crap, check engine light is on an flashing when I drive
Maybe it runs on older vehicles mine's in 1995 Nissan Sentra. The 1.6 l engine I've been putting it in there for years if anything I've noticed better gas mileage anyways when I use it it's just needs older cars.

Your problem has nothing at all to do with gas additives as they don't go in, on or around the battery. Your battery died either because "it's" bad or the alternator is.
I recently just bought and used this product and now my 98 Chevy Camaro will not shift unless the gas pedal is to the floor and as we all know that means I’m flying down the freakin street. Also now my car doesn’t shift because my speedometer isn’t reading right. None of this happened until I put this in my tank 🤦♂️
That's a good one I love it although I got no trouble with all three of those ones I've been putting it in my car for years. Maybe it works on older cars cuz mine's a 1995 Nissan Sentra and I've been putting that stuff in there for years and haven't had a problem I noticed I get even more gas mileage maybe they only work on cars assembled in Mexico were mine was.
I have no reason to lie! I have a 2011 Hyundai Sonata check engine light was on last ditch effort used smb gas treatment red bottle my light was off next day and my car runs like new. Ok can be a fluke four months later my dad gives me a 2005 Buick rondavious check engine light on I add the same bottle sure enough next day like guts off runs great six months later no light. I use it every fill up and every half fill
I've used it in my 2000 Silverado since it was a pup never had a problem with it .
I'm a 25 years of experience Automotive my Master Technician l suspect that if you're having problems with this you were already having problems to begin with and you try to use this as a cure-all..
Let me let you in on a little secret they're all the same they're all the same all they do is change the label during the production runs one minute it's running seafoam on the production line the next minute they change the label and now it's Dollar tree's version nothing's changed but the label same thing goes for the oil you buy and raise is only difference in synthetic and regular oil if your vehicle says synthetic you synthetic it says use regular oil use regular oil do not use synthetic with that said you might try reading your owner's manual you probably put it in the wrong gas to begin with all the information you need on how to make your vehicle run correctly is in your owner's manual stick to what it says and you can't go wrong but then what do I know I only have 25 plus years as a Automotive master technician..

I totally agree with you there they're all the same they probably come it's like no name brand stuff right. It's much like transmission fluid I don't know it's transmission fluid but they got Ford shaft GM all these things might be wrong on that one. But I agree with you they're all the same different names charge more for one than the other on Amazon they're worth like $15 a bottle get him a dollar for a $1.50. I've noticed my car gets better gas mileage when I use them it's an older car it's a 1995 Nissan Sentra with a 1.6 l engine in it maybe just works out older cars or cars like mine it was assembled in Mexico maybe that's it laugh out loud Good one though
I had a 2002 Dodge quad 2500 bought brand new in 2002 ran two bottles of octane boost and fuel injection cleaner in the vehicle every week when I filled up the gas tank for 14 years and never had a single problem one with it maybe because these people had Chevys and fords nothing meant by that but like I said I ran it for 14 years two bottles every week in my gas tank and never had a problem I stand behind this product 100% 😁
My 03 C5 Corvette had a clogged injector in the past years and a current slight miss..I was hesitant to use it, because it was in the Dollar Tree..Within 2 weeks, the fuel gauge stopped sticking on E (upon fill ups) and the MPG increased by 4. Go figure!
I just put a bottle in the company Dodge Caravan I drive which has over 425000 km, after one day driving the the fuel gauges has not gone down as far as normal and it runs and idles a little quieter. One of the other drivers has used SMB fuel injector cleaner for years and no problems. So basically I am happy with it. We will not be above 0 c (32 F) till about March so it is being used in a very harsh climate as I live in the middle of Canada
I put a bottle of smb super gas treatment in my 2008 Ford 150 and within a day my truck was running like crap.my truck had to go through a second tank of gas for it to run right again.avoid this product like the plague.
Well I was googling to make sure I used the product right. Found this page. :/ I barely put the stuff in.
I know the stuff was cheap but a guy working at the dollar store said he's used it before. He said it's a name brand but it's clearly not.
I hope I didn't just mess up my vehicle. :( I'm a single mom just trying to get by and want my car to last.
I've been using this product on every car I own (4, Ford 300, 000+, Toyota FJ 130, 000, Toyota Vinza 70, 000, and Honda 180, 000) for over 4 years once a week in every car. This product works great for me (I only use the Super Gas Treatment Ultimate) and have had no issues.

I use this product on almost every tank of gas I use on this vehicle and the car previous. Both mid line Hyundai make. I find this product to increase horse power ever so slightly and I get easier acceleration and passing on highway. I was very skeptical of the product but for me it has completely replaced the expensive brand I used to use. As I had similar results with a higher price I am very pleased.
I also bought a bottle of SMB. I haven't used it yet, and after reading all the neg. comments, I'm not about to. What other brands perform better?
Could it be that other inj. cleaners do the same harm.Anyone out there that is qualified, please suggest a brand.My Vibe is starting to stall at low idle.
May be time to change the plugs. Or is there a good inj. cleaner that works well? Dolph
Just ran across this cleaning out friend's garage; he said, go ahead and try it if you want, (SMB Injection Cleaner), now I am just going to chuck it.
This product is awful. Put it in my 2002 Durango... now it runs like crap. It was a buck. I wasn't expecting miracles, but I didn't expect it to mess up my truck either. I'm very mad right now!
Please do not use the smb gas treatment it says it will help your engine they are wrong I put it in my truck and it ran fine before and now it idles rough and it pings this is the worst thing u can put in your car

I have a 2006 BMW 745LI. I use SMB Fuel injector cleaner once every third fill up and it does the opposite to my engine. It runs smoother and gets more gas mileage. Then about 2 months later I read that chevron with techron cleans your engine and injectors. Try to change the gas you use to a better gas company. (Chevron or Shell) Again, I have felt improvement when I used SMB fuel injector. I used it literary over 25 times and sometimes I use 2 bottles...
I think it just happened to me also. I have a 2006 Lexus es330, I am aboutat a quarter tank now, I cant wait until it is all out of my engine. My car doesn't run right, I ended up with error codes. I had sears clear the error codes today march 7, 2010 I added it to the car yesterday the 6th, My car was running great. F--------------------------------------------k! What it does is idle bad when I first start the car. The error codes that I got were
PO300 PO303 PO3004 PO3006. I parked the car for about an hour after driving it, it seemed to drive fine, then when I started it, it idle very ruff, I then pushed on the gas peddle to drive it and it drives ok for now.

I have never had a problem ever with my car, it needs alignment that is about it, now I was hoping that since the car idles ruff, that all I have to do is change the spark plugs, but doesn't sound like that now that I read the other complaints. again you can reach me anytime. Hello, my name is Andrew. Sorry to bug you. I was just reading about sbm super gas treatment online. I was wondering if you could possibly help me out? Yesterday i put a bottle of sbm super gas treatment in my 2006 Chevy aveo with a full tank of gas. I made it about a mile or so when my car suddenly lost power. Then completely shut down. All within a matter of a minute. I turned my vehicle off and tried to restart it. Nothing. Then within the hour my battery was completely drained. It wouldn't turn over and my flashers wouldn't even flash. Do you by chance have any helpful information as to why and/or how I would go about fixing the issue? Much appreciated. Thanks,
