On August 19th, 2016 I purchased a French bulldog puppy from Sheri Segner. That night the dog had diarrhea and I noticed a drainage from its nose. Saturday morning the drainage seemed worse and I called my vet. They told me what to watch for. By Sunday she was not getting better so I took her to the emergency vet. They ran tests and found she had bacterial pneumonia and her body composition was extremely poor. She should never have been placed up for adoption. I had to have the puppy put down two days after we got her. I contacted Sheri and with much persuasion she agreed to give me a refund. No refund was given and she now states that I killed the puppy by giving it a sponge bath with flea shampoo. Not only was she a sick puppy she also had fleas. I did not notice the fleas right away when I got her. This breeder does not care about her dogs. Do not suffer the heartache I did. Spend your money on a puppy from a reputable breeder.

Totally agree with this complaint DO NOT buy from her. The Shih Tzu pup we got from her was full of fleas also and she is NOT a reputable breeder. She is very UNCARING for her animals and ONLY in breeding and selling for the MONEY. What an awful experience we've had with her. She also switched puppies on us. We picked out a pup with a blaze of white down top of head and was given the other female with no white blaze. She "blocked" me from communicating with her when questioned. UNBELIEVEABLE. I picked out puppy at 4 weeks and pups were put outside in yard in Freeport with NO shots and unprotected at 5 weeks in the horrible heat of 90 degrees and above. Pup ALSO had ear mites. It turned out to be a rescue mission not a purchase in my eyes. But worried about all 7 pups for a good month before I could rescue the one we didn't even pick out from that household. Then while I was waiting she was advertising lots of others animals on Sauk Valley Exchange...pit bull pups and kittens...UNBELIVEABLE! Called to complain and apparently everyone knows her and have had neighbors turn her in and other purchasers... DO NOT BUY FROM HER...she also had the mom tied to the outside pen in pictures she'd take of pups..mom couldn't even move.
