Shell rude customer service and pending holds.

I got gas in Redding California I had to do a pre paid authorization, I did 2 of them and have one pending charge still on and a completed charge of the fuel pumped. So I am currently being double charged for the fuel. Mind you the other pre paid charge is gone, and never stayed on my account. I called customer service and the lady basically told me there was nothing they could/would do at all. And that my complain would go nowhere bc anyone else I talked to would do/say the same thing she was. This seriously makes me never want to purchase anything from the shell corporation ever again!

Shell gas station places a pre-authorization on all pump pays, and this information is on the pump for you to read before you put your card in. The authorization will fall off in a few days. Read each pump before you put your card in and you will know ahead of time before you do it so you can change your mind if you want to.

Shell inappropriate behavior

I noticed a car had been sitting outside since I had passed the station no more than an hour before. I thought maybe it was the attendants and thought nothing about it. As I entered the station parking lot, a gentlemen was appearing to leave the station and enter that very car I had noticed. I pushed aside the what I had noted and went into the station. I visited this station to get a bit of ice cream, soda or candy bar along with the local paper before I headed home, this evening it felt very uncomfortable. While I walked around there was a young man cleaning away at the back of the store as a female attendant stood behind the counter with the gentleman I had seen earlier that I thought had left. This young couple were behind the counter disgracefully all over each other. Kissing, hugging, grabbing, and at one point the young man had his mouth on the young lady imitating chewing sounds. I noticed that the young man cleaning kept his back to the counter as if to distance himself from the scene. As I checked out the young woman made it very clear I was interrupting her and acted as if working was an inconvenience to her. I found this lewd behavior of the attendant behind the counter most discomforting and unprofessional. I normally don't witness such behavior when I have entered this station in the past, but I assume it wasn't on this young woman's shift since I usually appear earlier in the evening than today. I hope that this an out of the ordinary situation and will be corrected.

Shell More money taken from me than I pumped

I went to the homewood shell station to get $10 in gas. I used my American Express bluebird card. Payed at the pump. Then went inside and got a red bull and pack of cigs. Paid separately with the same card. After leaving the gas station I went to the ATM to withdraw money to pay for my daughters summer camp. Needless to say not enough money in my account to withdraw $100. So I get on my app and see that shell charged me $85 for $10 worth of gas. When I went back to the gas station the tenant at the register said they just hold that money and it will be credited to my account. This is REDICULOUS! I am not rich so now I am having to pay extra for my daughters summer camp because I am paying late because Shell has taken money from me that's not theirs. How is this even legal? I am very very upset. I have never ever heard of such. REDICULOUS! I will never get gas or anything else from Shell again and I will tell everyone I know not to get gas either.

It is called a pre-authorization and every shell pump discloses this information on the pump for you to read before you insert your card. The only way to avoid it is to pay inside or pay cash. Most gas stations have a pre-auth. They range from $25-150. Next time, read.

Shell shell gas station management

Hello,
I wanted to take the time out of my very busy day to inform anyone that may listen that your manager named Kathy at Shell location 1145 Crocker Rd, Westlake, OH 44145 is extremely rude and hostile and uses very unprofessional language towards her employees. To the point I feel very badly for them. I live in Bay village only about a 3 minute drive from the store. So myself and my fiancee are there multiple times a day. It got so bad that we started going to the BP across the street. As you are not familiar with the area personally please Google it and you will see the is a BP station 20 feet away from your Shell location. I have personally heard her cuss at and be very degrading towards her subordinate employees. To the point that many people who frequent the store are well aware of her and her attitude. If you believe I am a past employee with an axe to grind I would like to inform you that I am not. All the proof you need is to take a look at how many employees has worked there in the past year plus that I've been a customer to your store. If I had to guess there has been over 50 new faces at the minimum and that's being kind. The reason I even write this is because those employees don't have a voice to shed light on this woman's violent natural towards her employees. No one should have to ever be treated the way that she treats them. Like I said I have and will never work for Shell. But if you would like more information please feel free to contact me.

Shell unethical behaviour

While using the ATM machine, the cashier was conversing with a couple customers, possibly acquaintances, for several minutes, ALL were using very vulgar language the entire time. At no time did the employee ask the vulgar, disrespectful customers to refrain from using this language even though there were other customers in the store.

I was planning on making a purchase, but was disgusted and uncomfortable and left.

And if you were the one cussing would you not say the customer is always right? Would you want a store employee telling you how to talk? I don't think so. If it bothered you that much, why didn't you say something?

Shell employee / customer service employee name jose

I stopped at 6:20 am on june 6, 2016 at the shell gas station (s1e0938), 9598 sw 137th avenue, miami, florida 33186, to fuel my vehicle and take advantage of the winn dixie fuels rewards. I was paying cash so I entered the location to see attendant. I showed him my winn dixie card and said I would like to use my rewards which was $.25 off per gallon. he looked at me with a blank stare as if huh!. he said I no understand, my english no good. so I held the card up and said winn dixie, you cant' tell me if he works there and this program has been around for a while he has never seen one, or is it that private franchises play stupid so they don't have to give the discount. regardless this in still america I get the bilingual thing, but there is no reason to hire an employee who cannot communicate with customers. he didn't even try, even though there was a language issue he could have made an attempt, instead he stepped back threw his hands up and said I no speckie english sorry, but he sure was able to say how much did I want to pay and what pump, amazing. I will never give my business to this shell station again. and I will surly post on social media. you know you live in miami when you here the "sorry, I no speakie english" so fed up with it.

Shell customer service

Repeatedly the cashier working is on her phone during her shift even while assisting customers on the register. She speaks loudly, has arguments and even uses profanity in front of the customers in the store while on her phone. Very unprofessional and extremely rude.

Shell manager unwilling to accommodate slow pump service and fuel rewards

On 5/27/16, when using the pump at this location, the pressure was extremely low. Meaning, it took me 45 minutes to pump $14 worth of gas. The only reason I stayed that long was because I wanted to use as much of the $.20 Fuel Reward Deduction I received via the fuelrewards program.

When I informed the Manager (Genar) after 15 minutes had passed and I only had $4 dollars worth of gas, the only response I received was he could not do anything about it because the pump was being used. I can understand that. But, when I asked if my discount would be honored at another pump, he stated "No". When I called the 888GOSHELL line, the helpdesk informed me that this is possible and at the managers discretion. I cannot understand why this manager would not honor my discount seeing he knew the pumps were malfunctioning. Not only was my pump not working, but several pumps were not working properly. When I asked for a refund seeing I would loose out on the discount and I had not pumped that much gas in the time I was there, again, the manager Genar, responded with a flat out "No". Where is the customer service? I normally fill my tank up when I receive rewards (like the $.20 discount), but I was forced just to put the minimal $14.00, due to the 45 minutes I had been waiting.

Shell unauthorized credit card charges/unethical behaviour

As I'm taking off my gas cap the guy working comes out saying, are you okay are you okay? joking or playing around I don't know its just weird the way he is acting. I tell he 20.00 reg and get back in my truck. The next thing I know he filled my truck and it came to 51.13. Im upset and ask to speak with the manager he gives me a number [protected] it says the number has been changed so I again say I want to speak with someone above him, telling him the number is no good, and im not leaving till I talk to the owner he dials a number and hands me the phone and its a recording saying to leave a message. I once again say I need to speak with the owner because this would overdrawn my checking. ask for him to take gas out of my truck and give me 31.13 back . He tells me he isnt going to give me any money back . and that I told him to fill it up. I told him if he didnt come out joking around asking me are you okay are you okay, maybe he would remember I asked for 20.00 reg. I asked him who was going to pay my overdraft fees he said he would call and talk to my bank. I ask him what thats going to do he tells me they will understand. I am really getting upset now try to call the shell number on the door but its not open at that time. Hes telling me he is taking my plate number I say fine I dont care. As I'm leaving the station my friend asked me what was going on I tell her and she says the guy I was talking too was the owner of the station. I then had to go borrow money to cover the 31.13 that I didnt ask for. to avoid a overdraft charge. I will never get shell gas ever again . And make it a point to tell everyone how I was treated. and how when asked to speak with the owner he gives me a bad number all the while I am speaking with the owner. Shell service/charge

Today, 5/8/16, I bought gas at shell, 20020 rand rd., deer park, il. There was a mistake with my credit/debit card, so I was directed to "see the cashier" inside, which I did and had $35.00 charged to my bank account. As it turned out, the amount of gas that I pumped was only $22.00 and some change. I went back to a cashier, explained and received a receipt that was not a refund or credit. The cashier issued a "prepay fuel sale ($22.45). I thought that the difference might appear at my bank, but it hasn't. Only the $35.00 charge.

Shell cash payment refused by cashier

On 05/07/16 at around 10:50 a.m., I went in to this Shell Gas Station to buy a power ball ticket. I waited for the 5 feet pony tailed young lady cashier to get up from what it seems like she was playing with the computer. I waited for about 20 seconds before she attended to me. I asked to buy a power ball ticket. Before I could even say how much I would like and wanted the power play which is $3, she already rang up 1 ticket for $2 which is not a power play. I told her I did not want that as I wanted a power play ticket. So now, she refused to take my money and sell me the tickets that I wanted to buy for $18 for all power play that I was buying for someone else. I asked for her name, but she refused to give me her name.

This lady should not even be working there at all. All she cares is to get paid and does not care to watch the store. This kind of attendant are invitation for Thieves to target! I have been going to this store for over 25 years and love this store! But I hope they do something about Attendants like her.

I was NEVER rude to that lady! When you only have 15 minutes of breaktime from WORK, and hope you don't get back late from work, and you have to do a lot of errands because being a single mother, you get home and do all the chores, cook, clean, put your kids to bed... There's not a lot of time to do except do your errands during break time. And you still have to wait on an employee who wasted 20 seconds of your time, instead of getting up & ringing up the kind of ticket you wanted... But instead she had to argue with me to sell that ticket she rang up by mistake! I even apologized to her and said "that's not the ticket I wanted". Wouldn't you be upset? You must be her or an employee there to defend someone who is wrong! My last response to you as you make no sense!

How's that being a vigilante? So, if you want to buy a camel cigarette and the clerk gives you a marlboro cigarette and she insist you buy the marlboro or she would not sell it to you only because she already rang it up on her registrar as camel due to her carelessness! So how is that being a vigilante? Read through again Bud before you make some non-sense comment here!

Your complaint was that you had to wait 20 seconds to be waited on, and you assumed she was playing on the computer since she was on it. You made some ignorant assumptions about a stranger when you have no idea what her job is or how to do it. How would you like to be doing your job and have some smart mouth come in and start telling you how to do things? You get what you give in this life, and when you treat people rudely, you get it back. Be nice. And 20 seconds is nothing. Learn some patience.

Shell rude and uncaring cashier

I used to purchase all of my gas from shell. Because of the way I was treated on april 29, 2016, I will never shop at another shell station. I blew a tire on the interstate on the way home from work on 4/29 without my cell phone. I was right at my exit (Spears creek church road, columbia, sc) and so I walked the shell station. When I entered a clerk, leecy, was on the store telephone. It was 6:33. I bought a water and waited until she helped the last customer and explained I was stranded and needed to call my husband. She told me I would have to wait until she was finished using the phone before I would be able to use it. The previous customer heard me and asked if I wanted to use his cellphone because it didn't look like she would be off anytime soon. I called and left a message for my husband because he didn't answer. I went back inside and waited another 20 minutes before I asked again about the phone. Leecy told me it was a business phone. I responded that I was a customer and held up my water. She said she was on the phone with her manager (I think she said alice). I told her it was hard for me to believe a manager would tie up the business phone line so long. She shrugged and said I could sit at the tables to wait. Luckily for me, my husband cot the message and came to get me. I left at 7:48pm and she was still on the phone and the whole time she never told me they had pay phones outside. I never knew they were there. Never again. Shell lost my business.

Business calls take priority over customer calls. No business has to allow you to use their phone. Our business phone won't even dial out any number other than 911 and the 800 numbers we use on a daily basis for business. There is absolutely nothing wrong with a business denying a customer the use of a phone unless there is a need for 911.

Shell unethical behavior and profanity from the "manager"

Complaint against a male who identified himself as the manager.
Description: White Caucasian, tan complexion, late 30's to early 40's. Heavy long beard. He was at the cash register, with a shirt that had the Shell logo.

A couple of days ago, in the afternoon, my family and I (husband, wife and a toddler), passed to fill our SUV with gas at Shell, which until then, used to be our favorite Gas stations. We filled gas, and went to the store to ask how to use our Stop n' Shop points/discount. A Caucasian male (with a long heavy beard) inside, seemed very annoyed when we asked how to use it, please note, that there is a computerized sign by the main road, advertising that Stop n Shop customers are welcomes to use their points. He claimed it was not working, we tried to understand why, he got this "unfriendly" look on his face and repeated profanity the moment the reply he got was "maybe he shouldn't advertise it if it is not working", his body language and demeanor was extremely rude, as he asked to get out of his store! Shocked and in disbelief, he was asked if this is the way he treats his customers, he replied with; "I am the manager, and get the f*** out of my store"!
This is insulting, degrading to treat people in such low manner, and it is shocking to know that Shell would accept such behavior coming from a so-called manager of their brand! Talk about customer service!

Very shameful! We will be sharing our experience on social media and we will never be going to any Shell location!

Shell additional charges - convenience fee & air and water

This shell is right across the street from my house, I literally pump fuel there every week and spend more than $3, 000 in fuel annually; I have been purchasing fuel there since I have had my license, which marks a decade.

So define a customer? Because I believe I am a customer. That being said, I make fuel purchases all of the time. Once, I had filled up on a Wednesday but needed to put air in my tires on a Friday, however, they did not honor my request and charged my $1.50 to put air in my tires.

Again, I filled up during the week. The very next morning, I wanted to put air in the tires of my bike. I was denied. Again, at what point am I allowed free air and water as a customer?

Or, would it be more reasonable that every time I pump gas, I ask them that they provide my free air and water, and just go and turn the machine on and drive off? That would not be a good way to help the environment. That being said, when I do need air and water, I am not entitled to it from the thousands of dollars that I spend annually? Or am I only entitled to it when I need it and so happen to be paying for fuel?

This gas station has consistently denied air and water to me as a life-long customer. It is the same people that run the gas station, they have been there since I remember. I am so familiar with their faces that I have seen them moving trash bins by their house. They rotate their shifts and I just find it hard to believe that $1.50 is going to make them go in the black.

Another time, when fuel was ridiculously high, I pumped about $90 in fuel. I waited so long to fill my 24 gallon tank that I figured I should go in and buy some chips. They wanted to charge me a convenience fee to purchase a $1.29 bag of chips after I had purchased $90 in fuel.

Nevertheless, $1.50 just cost them thousands of dollars annually, I just wanted to share my issue since I feel they are not in accordance with the purpose of providing air and water to their customers. Also, they do not care about their customers. I loved Shell. I would go out of my way to buy Shell, now, I will go out of my way to never make another Shell purchase in my life.

Shell Dog catching

I am a resident if paldi. On Tuesday amc dog catching van came to my society(gandhikunj society) and took away 3 of my dogs from my place. They said they will vaccinate them and return them back to me in 2-3 days. But they haven't returned yet. I'm afraid they will leave the dogs somewhere else. I want my dogs back. There were two male puppies and one female dog who had just given birth to 3 puppies. Please help. And revert back as soon as possible or tell me where to go and whom to call because when i call to any amc office either they don't pick up or don't give proper responses.

Shell condition of service station

Is a total disgrace.
The front pump panel do not close and lock properly. The pad locks are placed at the bottom right hand corner of the doors and you can pull them partially open to cheat on card readers.
2nd The exterior of the building is disgusting.
3rd trash was all over.
4th women sink held up with a 2 by 4 pice of wood. Bathroom floor filthy no paper towels.
5th men's bathroom filthy ceiling tile down. No paper towels.
Guy behind counter did not even care.
Apparently you do not have standards for your stations or franchise stations to maintain.

Shell illegitimate debit charge

I have used Shell gas from this location (Madison Hts, Va.) for 20yrs+. However, Sat. 4/16, I used debit at pump but because I'd forgotten my glasses I couldn't see so went inside. I asked for $20 gas. Paid for it. Later Sat. I checked my bank balance to discover the $20 plus $85.00 had been charged. I went to the store and clerk said he couldn't do anything to see mgr. I finally got saw the mgr Mon a.m. He said it's a problem with the pumps that has happened before 'preauthorization'. Since this is the first time it's happened to me I found this explanation a bit odd. He told me the charge will be removed. However, as of this a.m. (Tues/ 419) the charge is still there. I'm not sure if I put the correct name (Miles) in. It's a store and service station. I rarely go in the store but use the pumps each time I need a fill-up and have been for many years. Thanks

Shell am suspecting a fowl shell petroleum company plc uk (scam)

Am akosua offei from ghana. I received a message from shell petroleum company plc uk saying am a lucky winner to a draw of which I won 750, 000 britain pounds. mistakenly sent some personal information they requested including my name, home address, sex, bank name, account number. it was later on something pro, pted me to read about the so-called draw, which they claim is to alleviate global poverty on the internet and realised it is a scam. they provided the following information

Then at the bottom they added this warning '

Shell service

I stopped at this station during my last trip and for some reason my Shell Card kept rejecting, something about an invalid card. After several tries I went inside to get it swiped by the clerk. She was very nice but said that this happens very frequently but if I had another credit card she would swipe that card. Now I have been using my Shell card during my whole trip and never had this problem. I thought it was funny that she wouldn't try to swipe my Shell Card but wanted another card, so I told her I would go somewhere else. Later on down the road, I stopped at the Shell station on Thomasville Rd at exit 203 and bingo my card worked just fine. Glad I didn't give her another card.

I buy Shell gas gift cards at Publix regularly. I like being able to swipe, pump and go without using credit or debit. Last week the pump read "card swipe not allowed ", so I went inside and stood in line to pay. I swiped a brand new $50 gas card and only used $12. Today when the pump read "no swipe allowed", I went inside and stood in line. When I swiped the card, it came up "declined". The cashier said "you must not have any money left on it." But I should have had $38. I went to the Race Track next door and filled up and paid cash, but I have more gift cards, and I gave my husband and daughter each one . There is no other Shell station near me

Shell unethical behaviour

I visited the shell petrol station in salfords redhill along horley road tonight 31/3/16 @2100. I am a regular customer of this petrol station and always filled up my company car and personal cars here. Tonight i took my mitsubishi fto to fill up. Having had my car standing unused for a while the car battery was almost dead hence the car was hesitating to start. I admit that i did not turn off my car engine as i commenced filling because i was afraid it would not start again and thereby causing a nuisance. £1.78 along the fill the attendant stopped the pump. I went inside to explain about the car battery but the staff was telling me in a loud and aggressive voice that it was not his problem regarding my battery..ok fair enough..my bad..
i then went out back to the pump and moved my car so that i do not block anybody. As i went back the staff was again in a loud voice asking what do i want now..at this point i could not bear how he was treating me. i gave him £2.00 as payment for the fuel and told him to keep the change. I left even not getting my receipt so i do not prolong this issue and avoid him altogether when all of the sudden as i was leaving and closing the door of the shop he told me "F YOU!".. As i turned to look he even flashed his MIDDLE FINGER at me from inside the store..as a paying, regular and loyal customer i could not believe that he would do this..it was very unethical..he not only flashed his middle finger once but two times! This staff clearly has no customer service skills and yet is allowed to continue to represent a world class company known for being ethical in all aspects!
