I went into purchase lunch today. One of the workers behind the counter was coughing and coughing. I don't understand with all this swine flu going around and even killing people. How can any food service company have their workers coughing and hacking all over food preparation areas. Even if they are not going to make my food they are still in the same area. Why wasn't the sick worker sent home? When I saw this sick worker coughing everyshere, I canceled my order. Shame on Sheetz.

If u call off sick they don't accept doctor's excuses so if you always get sick and you're close to points and call off with a doctor's excuse most likely they will fire you

I get that you could be "let go' for too many sick days. However, when in the food industry, it's as easy as "oh well". Public safty is more important than one worker who can find another job. I'm not even in the food industry and my employer has always stated "if you're sick, stay home. IT'S FAR LESS PRODUCTIVE to have you in the office sick and passing it along to other workers who then also are sick and may need off, than it is to just have you stay home yourself for 2-3 days or however long" The food industry need to adopt this policy and be very strict on it. If Sheetz truly is this arogant to not accept Doctor notes as sick days, no matter how many, then they are idiots! Also, someone who is sick, all the time, shouldn't be in the food industry anyhow then!

I get it, "some people can't find other jobs and how hard it is to get one and etc etc etc. . . ." Then that person better step up their fitness game or search real hard, take a trade, do something. But someone who's sick ALL THE TIME, should not be surving the public food! The only people I know who "claim" to be sick all the time are not actually flu sick (contagious sick) all the time, but rather they're always nasious, or headaches, or "feel" flu sick. Again, to those people, step it up a notch and care about your health. Do Something. Just don't do food!

I still have a problem with sheetz allowing this employee to work for you whiole having Bed Bugs I know some people that have spent a lot of money in your store and i also know some that dont go there anymore because of the way they have been treated. It is nasty an disgusting to go to sheetz and purchase food when my food was handled by a person that has bed bugs and still todate she is still working there still exposing the public to the bed bug an it only takes 1 bug to produce millions of bugs an people if they get a bug on them they will take them hone to their families an their kids so something needs to be done she needs to be terminated she knew she had bed bugs even before she was hire at your store either terminate her or i will take the next step an contact state health people.

I agree. However, YOU know the worker has bed bugs. How? Do you know the worker? And do the other workers know that worker has bed bugs? If they do, how do they know? Did the bed bug worker tell them? If not, then to them it would have to be considered gossip. And you can't let someone go on gossip.
