I purchased a Shark Navigator freestyle vacuum from a bed and bath store. It was not a copycat product, it is a genuine Shark product. I was thrilled with the vacuum in the beginning, and I even wrote a rave review about it on the store website. However, four months later, the battery quality was awful! I'd have the vacuum sit on the charger for hours, but then I couldn't even get through one full room before it would die. I had to have it sit on the charger before vacuuming the next room. And I am using it for a small apartment! When the vacuum sits on the charger overnight, the charging light turns itself off, as if it is no longer charging. I contacted Shark about the problem, I let them know it is still under warranty, and I even gave them the link of the review I posted as proof of purchase date. They immediately responded that they do not consider battery issues a repair issue to be corrected by them. Therefore, I will need to purchase a new battery out of my own pocket. Um, correct me if I'm wrong, but I would expect that when I purchase a product, the battery works so that the product itself works! THAT IS A REPAIR ISSUE! To me, this confirmed that Shark pushes poor quality products, and they are making an extra dime by making people replace broken parts. Poor quality, poor customer service, and poor reviews from me.

I purchased the Shark Navigator for $249.95 from the official website. They state "Lowest price guarantee>" Today on TV the same vacuum is advertised for $200. I called customer service and they couldn't solve the problem. They gave me an Email address for an ombudsman. I was unsuccessful there, also. The email was returned as undeliverable. I feel duped.!
