Shane Melton is a thief and a liar. He will use the sob story of cancer or other medical ailments to scam you out of money, then he will disappear. He will need money for car repairs/ payment (a favorite of his), rent, or even for business expenses to get his "artist" career going. He is a "scam artist" and has been doing this for 25 years. I've known him since high school and he is still up to his tricks. Beware of Shane Melton.

I dealt with Shane Melton a few years ago when I was part of a collective of artists and writers who were trying to establish a comic book studio under Shane's "leadership". He requested, as editor-in-chief, to see the pages of the first issue for the series I was writing and drawing (and still am). When I decided to leave the company due to inaction on his part to actually move the company forward, and due to his mishandling of the company as a whole, I told him I wanted my pages back. And of course, being who he is, he refused to send my work back to me. Not only that, he had the temerity to actually try and intimidate me and threatened me with legal action after I called him out on the message boards set up on the (free) company site. He never had me dragged into court because he never had a leg to stand on, and he knew it.

I don't know if you're aware of this, but he was recently arrested and now sits in the Mecklenburg County jail for fraud. I'm sending this message out hoping it reaches everyone who was scammed by Shane and urge you to call the Sheriff's office at (704) 336-8100 (inmate information) Case#1491347-404300. Let them know, if they don't already, that you were also ripped off by Shane and would like to see justice served. This piece of garbage has stolen money, time, and who knows what else from people who trusted him, and he deserves to have his freedom taken away from him for as long as the law allows.

I agree with everything said about Billy Shane Melton. He ripped me off for website design when I first started my company in 2009 here in the Acworth/Kennesaw Georgia area. It's about time justice is served for him. If anyone else in the Cobb County area files a complaint against him, please let me know by calling me at 678-809-2600 Option 1 and leave a message on our Company Support line. I think Melton was already out of jail the instant you typed this, Nathan. He was arrested for a misdemeanour only. He would have gotten more time if he'd stolen a Honda lawnmower. He's no doubt up to his old tricks once more.
