I had the worst experience ever when renting a car last night. Diamond Leasing decided that they should charge for full rental of car + deposit almost equal to the full rental upon collection of car. When I said that that should not be the procedure and I had no problem if they "held" the deposit but not charge it, the person went ballistic on me. Then tried to belittle me by saying "it's ONLY" XXX dirhams. And, I was basically forced to take the car because the choice was leaving without the car and waiting at least 4 days for a refund on my credit card or just accept their policy. THey refused to reverse charges on my credit card because it would upset their accounting system! I'll NEVER rent a car from them again, and it has absolutely given me a bad impression of Abu Dhabi.
