Security Elite Group Fraud

This company goes under the name Secure Enforcement Group. They are seeking to take your money. The lady was hesitant to give me a receipt with a "schedule" unless I said I was coming for class with cash money in hand. This company doesn't issue certifications for anything. They are licensed by nys to issue certifications. They want you to pay some other facility after them for certification. They want you payesterday 379 for fire guard(25$ test with free booklet from 9 metrotech in brooklyn) and you get certified for way cheaper by a real security firm that's state licenced. This place has no credentials and no licence to issue certificates... they scam everybody.

I meant "they aren't licensed to be issuing certifications" they are only a staffing firm. Not a certified training center.

Security Elite Group Craigslist security guard wanted scam

I replied to a CL ad. Ms Goldstein called me and said she had a job for me paying $13.75 an hour and there was an $80. processing fee. I went to the interview but never met with Goldstein. I met with Tyler who told me to get a money order for $80. which I did. After he got the MO he said there would be an additional fee of $169. for a fire guard license. The entire ordeal smelled fishy. When I got home I went on the computer and found many complaints similar to those found here. Now I'm trying to get my $80. back.

I'd like to know how this turned out. I'm sure you know now, that you shouldn't ever have to pay a job to pay you so to speak. It'd be different if you had to pay for work boots, or work attire all together, or drug test fee out of your check or something normal of that nature. BUT "processing fee" processing of what. You were good not to give them the rest of that.

Security Elite Group Scam!

This company is a complete scam, $80 fee was basically demanded when my mother went in. They take advantage of people who are desperate and need jobs. Fair? I DON'T THINK SO! They also gave false e-mails, and stories that kept switching with regards to money. I advised my mother to place a stop on all payments made to this fraudulent company. AND I ADVISE THE SAME TO ANYONE ELSE! If you look at a few comments below mine, you will see a comment that was written from management, WHAT MANAGEMENT COMPANY WOULD WRITE A COMMENT STATING THAT THE COMMENTS ARE WRITTEN BY "EX EMPLOYEES WHO HAVE NOTHING BETTER TO DO WITH THEIR TIME?" A FRAUD SCAMMING COMPANY, THAT'S WHO! Do not give these low individuals your money, they have a grade "F" from the Better Business Bureau! RUN FAST WHEN YOU SEE ELITE SECURITY OR ANY OF THEIR AFFILIATED NAMES, because they have many DBA's to trick the public.

So...as a summary. Victims of this scam are giving the scammers 80$, and their Social Security Number. Plus I bet on the "application" the victims give the scammers their home address, drivers license number, their previous address, email address, bank account number to deposit paycheck...
This is enough information for the scammer to 1) file fake tax refunds, 2) apply for credit cards, 3) set up more fake business, drain your bank account, hack your email account...

Aaron Taylor you sir is on point with exactly what happened, today when I went in for an interview, slim black lady bulky guy "Nathan" or what ever. I love how this scam has been going on for years and still they haven't been stopped. god forbid this happens to anyone else, they interviewed me like for real and checked if I could pay the processing fee okay 80$ worth right? Then they want me to pay 300 more for some BS certificate that cost 25$? Free cpr training etc thank god my suspicions were on point. Got my money( 379$) back :) courtesy of amazing banks. Okay my point is avoid prestige security consultants and security elite group anywhere they've currently 80 broad street New York NY 5 and 6 floor or craigslist in general they move u from the 5th floor after completing a form and have you wait, then moved to 6th where ur told to wait near elevators. Selling a guarantee that isn't guaranteed, Because wHY the heck was there a automatic security gate for a interview, I wish I had used my time to get a job at McDonald's it's better then getting scammed by these [censored] bags, I have college tuition to pay, arghh..Remember Get ur money back if u used ur debit/ credit card. ( get it before it's processed) Heart goes out to those who used cash ;(

i too fell for the first 80 but questioned them when they asked for more. i went for an interview and a young african american woman named "ms weiss" brought me in for a very shady interview. the man i spoke to on the phone was named nathaniel and seemed on the level but once i got there and they asked for more money than was agreed upon i knew something was up. when i called for a refund the next day she said i had to email their "accounting department" so i received an email the following day saying that 24hrs had passed so my money was not refundable. im not the kind of person who would usually fall for this but i was out of work and had applied to a lot of places. segny was the first place that called and i went with it against my best judgment because i needed the money. i guess thats what these people do. theyre thieves and criminals and they should all be prosecuted and punished for what theyve stolen.

I saw what seemed like an ad for a security position on Craigslist and I sent my resume. I got a call from someone at the company who began the phone conversation by saying "Did you send your resume in for a job?" I saw that as a red flag. It seemed to me like a strange way to start a phone conversation about an employment opportunity. A legitimate employer may have started the conversation with "Hello, my name is so and so, from such and such COMPANY." That is not how this conversation started. She asked me to be at 80 Broad St dressed in "business attire" and she asked me to bring a copy of my resume and my social security card. Toward the end of the conversation she added that I would need to have $80 with me. I almost didn't catch it. It felt like something shady was happening. I went to the office and told the person at the front who I was there to see. Another person came and handed me an application and brought me to a room where I would wait to be interviewed. I waited almost an hour. I finally met my interviewer. She was not the person I spoke on the phone with. We had what looked like a real interview. I gave her my application. She asked me about my work history. She asked me questions that made it feel like a real job interview.

In the end I did not give them $80. I didn't have it. When my interviewer found out that I didn't have the $80 she tried to scold me. She said "Didn't the person you spoke with on the phone tell you to bring $80?" I told her I would try to come up with the funds. She created the impression that jobs obtained through their firm were limited and so I had to hurry up and pay them as soon as possible. After the interview I got a call from the person who contacted me initially. She said she wanted me to call her once I had the money so that they could "place me in a position as soon as possible." After reading the comments above I don't know if I'll go back.

I hate scammers. And everything about these people smelled fishy. I technically haven't been scammed out of money yet but I post this in case it helps anyone.

Their current location is 80 broad st. 12th fl, suite 1202. I responded to a craigslist ad seeking security guards ect. So I went and paid what was called a processing fee. Then they asked for more money saying I would have to pay 299 for fire guard training, security certifications etc. Then they say that some other company does the testing.

This place is joke. I unfortunately fell victim to this. I realized this after i gave the 80$. The lady asked me if i had a felony. I told her yeah. She told me i would need to bring my discharge or certificate of relief certificate before i can do the training. Needles to say, at the end of the interview she said she was pushing me through to training... No certificate no nothing. I was told i also need to bring all the money upfront before classes start.. Ok i got you. Who's already started a class action suit against these guys?

This ppl need to be shut down immediately, why lie and take peoples money, yeah every thing looks real or seems real, I'm also a victim to this and to think they had me which they did, I payed 80 dollars thinking I was getting the job and not just that they switched up the story that I need to pay 299, if it wasn't for my bf I would of payed the full price, and probably not hear from them again. I will do something about it, I'm not just gonna sit here and have the 80 dollars wasted, its ridiculous how they play a role and lie to these innocent people just so they can have money, what they're doing is not a job you just taking it easy, why don't you work hard for your money, they obviously don't believe in that but they will be expecting something coming at them soon, and hopefully when it does happen they can learn their lesson for trying to steal people's money

Thankfully I didn't give them a dime I went for an interview for an office job and they asked for almost 400$ so I was omw to give them 80$ and a friend told me to do research and to my surprise the attorney general is investigating them states a report by the daily news I was never told this is a security job...I called and ms Goldstein hung up after I informed her of the attorney generals investigation
