I answered a survey and then I purchased two coffee mugs, two travel mugs, and two sample bags of coffee for $5.00. (I haven’t checked my account yet to see if I was charged $5.00 or $25.00 like other people have been charged), but two days later I receive another package of coffee. On the shipping label it shows $0.00 total charges, so I thought I wasn’t charged for the coffee in the package. I checked my account and discovered that I was charged $38.45 twice in one day! Then a week goes by and another package of coffee was mailed to me. I’m thinking that this is more coffee than any one person can drink in one month, for me anyway. So I wrote Return to Sender on the front and took the package to the post office. The next day I call Seattle Coffee Direct and spoke to someone named “Nina”, I told that I was getting coffee I didn’t sign up for and getting charged for it! Nina did apologize and canceled my order. I asked how long it would take to credit my account and she told it would take 14 days after they receive the returned packages. I thought that the problem was solved but I was SO SURPRISED to get another package the very next day! I get on the phone and ask for Nina and was told she was busy on another line, so I spoke to another representative. I told her that after speaking to Nina the day before, I received yet another package of coffee and proceeded to tell how upset I was about how many charges on my account. She said “Well your account has been canceled.” I proceeded to tell her that the charges should be credited just as fast as I am receiving the packages! She had not comment. Assured that the situation was solved and I would just write return to sender on the package, you can image my horror to see ANOTHER PACKAGE in my mail box again the next day! Tomorrow I am instructing my bank not to pay these charges from this company and will call the Better Business Bureau. I feel the same as everyone else on this web site, THEY ARE A FRAUD AND A RIP-OFF!!!

I ordered the mugs, coffee, and travel cups which I read to be $5.00. I check my checking account almost daily and found a $25.00 charge. I contacted the company and was told I had misread the ad. I then advised her that I didn't want the order and I was cancelling. She told me to return the order and I would be credited. The next day I check my account and have a debit of $38.95 for Metro Coffee. When I contacted the company I was told that that was the montly shipment for my "membership". I advised her to cancel my "membership" and credit me for the coffee. She said the coffee had been shipped and that I should return it, when they received it back I would get credited for it.
This all started on 5/14/2009. I have made over 10 calls and as of today 8/15/2009 I have not received one penny refund. I am told each time I call that the credit is going to be made, 1) end of the month 2)at the end of the billing cycle 3)by the end of the week, yada, yada, yada!!!
$63.95 was my rip-off, not counting the frustration
