Craigsecure Scam

CraigSecure claims to be safe and endorsed by MSNBC, CNN, CBS.says they are only charging you 1.00 for age verification. But it is all a LIE, they refused my CC or so I thought but actually charged me like $ 15.00 How can they use the names of major networks for their SCAM and get away with that?

Craigsecure scam

I am interested in something thats long term, NSA. I kinda want to keep this discreet - my ex-boyfriend is kinda a psycho ever since we broke up. haha.. 3.5 year relationship. Anyways.. I have a daughter who is 22 months old, but she will always be sleeping by the time you come over...
This is my first time doing this kinda thing online - so Im kinda iffy about it.
I don't use any messengers - only one that I use at work...
i was hoping we could stay in contact from a free site if your interested in making it long term... my profile is at http://SafelyNSA.com have my cell phone number on there - if you want to send me a text and we could get together tonight or tomorrow night - that would be great... Im signing off the computer now though, hope to hear from you.

Fake site trying to get your credit card info.

Hey,

So what are you up to? I'm just setting here checking my email playing solitaire. Just trying to take my mind off my kids being with their dad the next 2 nights, relaxing a little bit. Think I'm going to get ready and watch Twilight, I'm probably the only person that hasn't seen it yet lol. You feel like talking or maybe grabbing some coffee? I wouldn't mind getting out of my apartment for a little.

If your up to it you can give me a call. Would you mind verifying your age first before I give out my number or we make any plans. I just need to make sure your really you :).
With some of the stuff you hear on the news I feel a little more comfortable and well more responsible knowing you really are who your saying you are before just giving you my number or meeting you. I just need to protect my self I hope you understand.

You can goto http://www.check-date.com/softballmom67 it costs me a little extra a month to use but makes me feel more comfortable. It's free for you to just verify your age.

Once you verify just send me a pm there and I'll send you my # or give you a call either way. I'm online there now so I'll check for your pm

I read somewhere else that the address they give for domain reg etc doesn't exist so how would the networks find them if WE the semi-intelligent computer user (I say semi because this one made us all stop and go hmmmmm LMAO!) can't find the addy. It's cause it's not there. hey could actually say they're sponsored by Obama and get away with it. Or did Obama ACTUALLY endorse these guys? HEY SOMEONE GOOGLE THAT FOR ME WILL YA!

Gotta love it man! That little clam gets the best of all of us at one time or another in life.

Got the same response 20 min ago. I check before I give out any info tho. Most responses want you to go to some site that wants info and CC #'s. When they want that, back off fast, you're being scammed.

Craigsecure online dating

A few days ago, I went on the hunt for some NSA fun. Obviously, I stopped at Craigslist`s “Casual Encounter” section Well knowing how many scammers are out there, I sent a few e-mails anyway, to see, if I could get lucky.

Within a few minutes I got a response from a girl calling herself “Kayla B”.The mail read like this:” I just came through the door...Wanna hook up?" The e-mail came with a picture. Nice body shot, which looked like a pic taken with a cellphone. It indeed looked like a legitimate response. On top; it came naturally from an I-Phone. Needless to say, I replied.

The follow up was almost instant. It came from [protected]@greatlocalnsa.com.
It said:” Please verify that you are not a rapist or something worse...Just follow the link and do the verification...I have never done this before...Just verify and we can meet up for drinks."
Only to verify that she is real she would not forget to mention the date of her mail in the final sentence.
Now really curious, I followed the link. It directed me to a profile showing a really good looking girl, around 25, light brunette with hazel eyes. On top of the profile you would see "Please verify to meet Kayla B."If you would press the "send a message" button, a browser would open up requesting your cc information, I found myself on “Craig-secure”.
I replied to Kayla, that I felt uncomfortable to leave my cc info on the net.
She answered almost instantly again.”Oh that credit card thing, ….I signed up there 5 months ago and they never charged me. Just verify and we can start chatting.”
This time the e-mail came from [protected]@nsarightnow.com

I replied a last time, at least I thought so.I copied a complaint from this site in my reply to Kayla.
Her answer came within minutes:”Dunno...If you don’t want to verify, we better don’t hook up...All the creeps are really freaking me out.
Kayla B

I left it at that and was stunned to find a follow up e-mail in my inbox from Kayla B, the very next day.

“Hey, have not heard back from you last night. Here is another link. You can do the verification there without a credit card”

I followed the link again, seeing Kayla’s lovely profile and I could sign up at www.localamateurmatch.com.Obviously, I only had to verify with my credit card.

Still absolutely “wowed” about all this I sent another e-mail to Kayla mentioning the credit card. And you will not believe it….She answered.
She sent me a telephone verification link. The web- site, very similar to Craigslist explained in detail how all violent offender records in North America would be scanned after entering my phone number and e-mail address. I only would receive a telephone call with a verification code, if my records came out clean.
I grabbed the next company phone, punched the phone number into the appropriate field, entered an e-mail address and waited.
The phone rang and somebody gave me a secrete code. Unfortunately, the automated voice forgot to tell me what to do with it.
I was so awestruck and intrigued how elaborate this scheme was that I had to know, if I could find anything about Kayla B.It was not difficult, there are a lot of links which lead to Kayla Banks.
But the 2nd or third link got me to Kayla Banks official web-site and there it was, right on the front page, the lovely Kayla B.with a red tank top and blue panties, hazel eyes and light brown hair. Just as on www.greatlocalnsa.com.
Hey, I could have entered the site, with my credit card. Only $ 40.00, I think
Kayla Banks is apparently one of the best ranking paid porn-sites on the web.
I guess there are a lot of people out there who like to watch her and pay with their credit card.

This website is a "Craigsecure" website and is supposed to check the age and sex offender status of an individual before allowing them to contact the person for whom the webpage highlights.

I understand the risk factor for people meeting over the internet - no more than meeting a blind date - but I filled out the information including CC info. Once finished I was switched to some porn site and informed that I had a 24 hr free membership - it took me 30 min to cancel it - but after I canceled it there were charges from 3 companies on my card totaling 117.56.

It took me two days of effort to cancel the card, report the unauthorized charges, make a police report and get a new CC. My bet is that the scammers will never be charged and the cost of the scam will just be passed on to CC holders in the form of new or higher fees and interest rates.

Report to Federal Trade Commisson & Internet Crime Complaint Center.

Dont hesitate to email craigslist at abuse@craigslist.org

Make sure to Keep all of your evidence. Especially the actual emails.

I recommend, when you respond to the "skeptical" ads, that you write down the Post ID # and copy and paste it into a word document and save it.

Flag the postings and be clear with Craiglist about the scams.

It is supposed to verify that you are at least 18 and that you are not a sex offender yet having a credit card has nothing to do with either of these. Are any of these verification procedures valid?

Craigsecure Phishing, Scam, Fraud, Credit Card fraud

Unknown Person posting on Craigslist - Casual Encounters w4m

I responded. They then responded back to me, and they deleted their posting. Trying to get me to go to their website. I didn’t respond back to their email. Visited website, but had my security & virus software ready! I did not provide or enter and information on their site.

Scammer posters on Craigslist. People posting personal ads, and when a person responds to the ad. The poster deletes their ad, sends you (the responder) an email confirming their interest. This could be for a variety of things, friends or casual encounters. They won’t give a phone number in their email. They lure out to their fake website or scam servers first.

The scammers try to convince people in a legitimate and harmless looking email, to visit a site. The site is suppose to be some kind of Age Verification service for online safety. It is a PHISHING site/scam/fraud.

If you type in (craig secure) into Google search, there is some talk of them being scammers. Or Safe NSA websites, or Safe Dating scams. Clone websites and people who use Auto-Responders or forum flooders.

When someone visits a site that they have been given a link to, the scammer wants you to enter in some information, such as a Credit Card, once this has been done, your suppose to be able to see more information about the person. The thing with these sites, they will have fake Seal logo's and Media logo's.

Sometimes the sites will have just one profile, usually of the person who you originally contacted, even though it is all a Scam and the pictures are stolen and the person uses a fake throw-away email address, unregistered and secretive websites with little info about them. You will try to look up the email address, and find nothing, look up the site, and sometimes there will be little available, or they haven’t been published on Google yet.

craig-secure.com
www.craigsecure.org
Safelynsa.com

There seems to be some (Age Verification) Phishing Scams. They TRY to convince responders that their website verifies people's age. Not true, they just want your Credit Card information...

DON'T fall for those (w4m 24-32 Ads) - I'm just looking for some nsa fun, I don't have anyone to cuddle me...

Report suspected Traps. FLAG them, and keep note of the Posting # and Time and Date. Especially if you responded. Keep Emails and any other information. Make sure to HAVE EVIDENCE!

Scammers will often Remove postings once they get enough replies. That means they lured a few (potential) victims. You need to prove that they're messing with you.

You can check "her location" on the page source for the site, it uses Javascript to be the same as your city or close to.
Thanks for the heads up. I wouldn't put my credit card details online unless it was in a site that I knew was genuine and secure, but it saves time knowing that the person I'm trying to communicate with is someone who doesn't exist.

This happened to me several times. I was asked to provide information to "CraigslistSecure", including my credit card number. This was the tip off to me that this was a scam. NEVER provide your CC number for something that is supposedly a free service (as they claim) If the age verification was truly free, they wouldn't need your CC number to begin with. Also, when dealing with personal ads, be leary of come-on lines like "I never thought anyone would answer my ad, but", or I just broke up with my boyfriend and have been really lonely".

She/he sent a couple e-mails first through the craigslist system until she/he asked for my real email address so she/he could send me photos...such an eager girl to send illicit photos...haha, yeah right...the two emails I'm including below were once I shared my real email address.

Email 1 of 2
Thank for responding to my cl posting. I'm Clara Camacho, 23 years old. I am a new comer to this web site and I am an incredibly pretty girl. I placed an ad on cl because I’m still searching for a hot guy to please. I like 69. Do you? To begin, I do want to suggest that this is not my regular behavior. I consider myself very diverse with my selected fascinations, but hopefully I can fascinate you as well. Lets become familiar with one another by e-mail. I went ahead and attached a sexy picture of myself. I am upset that you didn't send me a photograph. Allow me to know if I’m what-you're searching for. I enjoy getting my titties fondled. The only thing that I don't do is bukake. Please don't ask me for my private info. I am here for discreet hook ups...haha. Anyways, I've attached a photograph, so if you’re interested, let me know.

Email 2 of 2:
Thank you for your response. Now that I understand you're real, I'd like to have some excitement with you today. Incidentally, I am already verified, therefore I'd want you to do that yourself as well. When you verify and get my cellphone number, give me a call. In the case you're serious about this whole thing, then I think that you would get it done for me so that I am able to feel more secure. My cell number and private information are both posted here: http://safensacuddle.com/claracuddlex/ My friend advised me to utilize that verification website to dissuade killer weirdos and minors, so I just share my contact info with those who are verified there. I’m hoping that is ok with you. I am online right now, and btw, one more concern is that you have to use protection. I am really hoping none of those things are an issue because I am looking forward to satisfying you. I sincerely want a man right now.

I also posted an ADD on Craigslist and all my replies had me go to CraigSecure to verify my age and that I am Real. it included a picture of them, which Im not even sure it really is of them, and underneith it says I can send them a message or look at there cell phone number. I did this and it took me to "FoxyDates.com" and I couldn't even send them a message once I logged in.
So I am believing that CraigSecure is a BIG SCAM!

The scammers even reply to your ads posted. Even going so far as to put a keyword in the subject line that you said to use to ensure you're getting a real person and not a spambot. Here's something I got after replying to someone that sounded legit in 'her' original email to me:

"Hey,

Thanks for your email and interest. But with all the stuff in the news lately, we all want
to be as safe as possible. I want to get hook up right away with you, but a girl has to
be careful these days.

My friend who met people online found a REALLY GOOD safe service that's specifically
designed for Craigslist for age verification. It's called CraigSecure and it helps to
make a girl like myself safe and happy. =)

What makes this service unique is that it's not for the timid, but for the responsible singles
who have a grown up attitude toward the dating scene and want to experience some fun.

So go the link below to proceed and we can get hook up right away.

http://hotmatch.info

Chat soon!

Katie

PS. Yes, the photo on the page is me. Hope you like what you see. ;)
"

In the original response from her to me, her name was Bella. A week passes by 'she' sends another spam message.

"Hey,

I haven't heard from you...what happened?

Did you have trouble with the CraigSecure service from my last email? If you did, perhaps you might want to
try through the link below. I think you'll really like this one. As you can tell from the layout, it's an
adult dating site for adults only. It's one of the best out there and I use it as an alternative...and it's
totally f'ree to sign up.

http://hotpassion.info

So does the naked girl on the site Turn You On and Entice you at all? lol! ;)

Just wait until you see what's inside.

Chat soon.
Katie =)

Really astounds me how people can get scammed by something Craigsecure..but im not judging we all learn some way or another and its simply preying on our human nature. We feel good when someone is interested in us. Some other words of wisdom (some of which i have learned the hard way), you can copy and paste a link into things like Google verify and other virus protection software to see if the listed web address has had viruses or other complaints about malware/scams etc before you enter the site and receive a virus. Also downloand a virus protector for you cell/mobile phone, also a tracker like Apple I-phone phone tracker!

Just a heads up, I got this email today from someone called "Roxane" which is almost identical to some of the ones I saw on here by "Kayla":
Hey,

Thanks a lot for the email, I am a lil speechless by all these emails guys are sending me. It appears like most of them are not even replies for the advert that I made, it seems to be a problem using the site or sometng.! Simply because your e-mail truly caught my eye I thought I would respond back again to you first :)

My name is Roxane, I'm 22 years old and a recent school graduate and I moved here two months ago. I like traveling and sports activities :) I gotta admit that I'm not exactly that skilled, although I'm no longer a virgin, it's only because my ex-bf (we had been dating for three years) was kind of prudish. Now that we are finally done I'm in search of sometng enjoyable to entertain me :) Not truly fascinated in a romantic relationsp, just sometng NSA, but I guess you never know what can occur.!.!

We ought to hookup at either of our houses, we could have fun for a bit after wch go our own directions? If we both like each other we could hook up awle longer - but that is all I'm tnking about now.

Will you please go here and confirm you are not a killer or sometng.! It is free, didnt even ask for any bank card like some of those other silly sites ive been to. You don't seem to be kind of man that would do sometng bad, but now a-days you can't be too cautious you know? I just want to make certain we both have a secure great time :) As soon as you get verified we can meet up :) Please msg me then so we are able to determine when to get together?

Roxane

I agree guys. I saw her ad on Craig's- Ft. Collins. First reply she said she lived downtown could host and wanted to know if the weekend would work. I said weekend would be great and asked if she was willing to give me directions to her place or to meet somewhere at a public place. Next reply she started with the verification crap and kept sending emails with links to all the sites she had profiles on saying to sign up and leave her a message and a phone number if I was serious about hooking up. Being new to this kind of scene, it took me a awhile to catch on to all of this! Somehow I got directed to this site and read all the reports about her which confirmed my suspicions.
